So now they provide an update on Titan, but crickets regarding Neptune:

https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-80

Yeah, lend them $10k now and then get delivery in December. Maybe.

J

I will bet you 100 Bitcoins, KnC will ship Titan before December 2014.  Would like to retract your ridiculous statement now?

You mean actually put something in a box and send to a customer, right? Them just giving you hashing power in their DC won't count.

You guys need one of those WWE cage matches to settle all this stuff out.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 27, 2014, 01:31:22 AM
Anyone emailed them and asked if they are going to burn in their products this time round? Or do they intend to ship 1000's of faulty boards again?

If their competition are promising 24hr burn in, you'd expect kfc to at least do the 5 minute burn they promised lied forgot about in October

Dude, they're already burning in their equipment in their datacenter. It'll be good and cooked when they announce "Due to unforeseen, eh BS, circumstances we will not be delivering hardware machines. However! We will give each customer 3T of hosted miners for a generous 6 months. (smug look of how gracious they are) After that we'll charge the low, low fee of $500 a month. They'll announce that at the end of Q2, so wait for it.

For those that haven't figured it out kfc doesn't care about the NPS or any other crap they have fed us. They ... are ... liars.

Batch 2 Neptune Order @ ~$10k USD

Ask for refund ? [Y] / [N] Why ?

Y, KnC and BFL are the same ilk. Stop supporting those toolboxes.

And the culprits are 2 French dudes - Karpeles and his marketing buddy. Our industry is filled with such scumbags.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 25, 2014, 10:25:04 AM
Someone asked what was up with their farm in their forum and it quickly got deleted. At least I got to post that karma's a bitch before it got "there's nothing to see here. Move along." Tools
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 24, 2014, 12:34:05 PM
Do you have a private mine with your own equipment, built for your mine for you and your company and its Venture Capital investors?
We currently don't have a farm. Our data center is solely for hosting our customers units.
We don't have plan to have a farm during 2014.
We want to concentrate on building and selling the best mining machines, not operate farms.
Clear enough ?

Where did your company's name come from?
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 24, 2014, 04:55:45 AM
I thought about posting this on their own forum, but figured it'd be pointless. There's just to much "belief" in there that they're going to do well with their orders that contrary opinions would be stomped down as heretical. If BTC is going to really make it then the price needs to bottom out and stabilize. DPoS is right there. Shake out the greed and this system will have a chance of success.

Going on the picture above here are some numbers on what that dunghole has:

38 rack sets (from what I can see - assuming assclowns have 2 sets)

each rack set has 20 rows with 6 loaded with stuff.

38 x 20 x 6 = 4,560

each mining thing has 6 fans - assuming these are each a nov upgrade module

4,560 x 6 = 27,360

1 nov module should be about 180.5 GH/s

27,360 x 180.5 GH/s = 4,938,480 GH/s

remember - that's just what I can see and assume in the picture - there's probably double that.

If you want an update on the datorhall, here are some interesting pics. They seem to be from an article posted about 2 days ago but can't access it as it's behind a paywall http://kuriren.nu/nknyheter/sa-har-ser-datorhallen-i-boden-ut-7530864.aspx

They won't embed as images using IMG tags for some reason (?), so just links.

http://img2.kuriren.nu/public/img/7531297/0321172520.jpg

http://img3.kuriren.nu/public/img/7531298/0321172520.jpg

Every rack appears to be full and hashing, as far as the eye can see.

wow, seriously ppls, stop giving them interest free loans. these assclowns don't deserve any support.

which may make up a whole 5 to 10% of the next couple diffchanges, I see no real threat there. I really think you're over-estimating Bitmain's impact to the network

Sounds like you haven't kept up. In a few short months, Bitmain is powering 20%+ of the entire network!

I love that outfit - in stock, mining in 4 days after purchase from China to Texas - yeehaw! I hope that is the model that takes off. This pre-order stuff is too much.

Interestingly, Bitmain will ship two generations (S1 and S2) during Neptune preorder period. I hope that this preoder habit just go away and never come back.
I lieu of this new thinking, I did not preorder S2, albeit it was only 3 weeks. Will wait until it is in stock to revisit.

ya, me too. I was interested in getting one of those coin CC wallets, but the pre-order part made me cringe and walk away.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 23, 2014, 01:02:53 AM
"Can" is key, but 200 units a day like Knc did with Jupiter means a batch of 1200 complete in 6 days, so I beg to differ.
1200 times 3 or 4 Th/s in 6 days......  (up to 4.8 petahashes) how is bitmain supposed to touch that?  Can bitmain ship 4-5 petahashes per 6 days.... I think not. They can "ramp up" all they want, it won't change things much, especially after Neptune.

Ok, if you're right about KnC's capacity to deliver, then you're just proving my initial point. Neptune won't break even. There's just too much hashpower coming online in the next few months.

again you could be correct but the other side of the coin is difficulty is a percentage of total network hash power can they really keep upping hash power vs the total network as it is to effect difficulty to a 15-20% uptick or is it just gonna be a flash in the pan and then ramp up again in fall with new generation of machines? ie lots of stuff is coming out NOW but there is some lag imho on how the stuff shoots out ie usually they all do it at the same time in bunches according to the technology they manage to upgrade

then also there is the equip falling off the other end that is no longer profitable (my jupiter knc oct comes to mind this summer) and the dip in USD for bitcoin may have slowed stuff down too...

again i know zip but just saying and i may likely pull the plug here soon w/o more info from KNC but its why i'm holding at this point (i'm brave as hell with refund...new companies no refund ...er not so much)

Searing

You still have your orders with that English outfit (name escapes me), right? - for the scrypt gear? I think you're going to clean house with that order. I didn't think they were real but their regular updates look legit. To be honest KnC's titan is interesting, but pre-order ...sorry, new home comes first Smiley  I'm holding out for an in stock scrypt asic miner before I take the plunge.

Good luck to you and your orders. If things work out you'll be in a great spot this summer.

There are enough people using arbitrage trading bots for alts already, across many exchanges....
I wonder if there is any capacity in the system to actually make any money in that anymore...I doubt it

pump and dumps can be quite profitable. alts are more risky than btc, but there's a greater chance to make a lot of profit.

You keep wondering.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 21, 2014, 02:03:18 PM
Scrypt coins are like Linux distros. Www.scryptguild.com is an interesting concept. It's a scrypt mining pool that mines the top coin and then converts to btc or you can keep coins you're interested in. It should keep you profitable if LTC diff blows up.

*In Q2/Q3/Q4. All cinema tickets must be pre-ordered 6 months in advance

Classic!

Here's my theory on these guys - they used neptune pre-order money to pay for DC. Cat got out of the bag that they weren't close to getting said tunes out the door. Refund madness occurred. They needed more cash to pay for DC, so neptunes went on sale again. Nobody bought them because we're just not that stupid and learned how to do math. Bummer, what to do? The offer scrypt miners for 10G and no refunds. That way they've got the money and don't have to give it back when new people learn how to do math. Bonus smartness comes in when they will convert neptune orders that had the possibility of a refund over to the new "terms and conditions" of no refund scrypt miner. The last bit stinks of Hashfast.

Seriously, who is running the business over there? Do these companies all get together in some bar or strip club and compares notes?
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 20, 2014, 02:27:47 AM
So are they going to work on this in their free time when they aren't working on the Neptunes?

Titan
14L
Titan is our first scrypt mining product and will be shipping in Q2/Q3 of 2014.
....

You mean working on their datacenters?
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 19, 2014, 02:59:36 PM
Doesn't BFL do the convert order you are waiting to be delivered to new "jingles keys" shiny stuff in 6 more months?

The difference here is if KNC delivers 100Mh Scrypt miner at the same time it delivers Neptune (even if its 3.5Th) the Titan will be a better deal by a factor of about 25% in annual revenue

True. it would certainly be a better investment. It also begs the question - are they going to mass produce these in their DC and blow out the difficulty before you get your hands on equipment? Will these turn into cloud hashing options as well?

If they were the KnC of October I would probably sink money into it, but they're not that company anymore. I just don't trust them to do the right thing anymore. I'm also done with the pre-order scam. ants have cured me of the desire to give out 0% loans anymore.

More than 20 days passed since my refund is "ready for process".
Email support keep telling me "our team is extremely busy", blah-blah-blah.
 Angry

Busy doing what?!? Obviously not putting together products for their customers.
