It's normal when use remote node for Gui Wallet, must wait re-sync from 0 when open the Gui Wallet?

If you close the wallet it should normally save the process and subsequently (next time you start it) only scan new blocks. Which operating system are you using?

Anyone compiles it successfully on Mac OS?

Could you be more specific about your issue(s)?

Today is the first time I withdrew my XMR from an exchange to my wallet but it's still saying unconfirmed Can someone tell me when I can again transfer my XMR token to a new address?

Thanks Cheesy

Try searching the transaction ID / hash on a block explorer (e.g. https://xmrchain.net).

how long does is take to start using monero on average computer..
inter core i3 8gb ram 10mbps bandwidth. .
Do we have to download full blockchain or there's a option to prune?

Depends, if you have an SSD it's generally quite fast. However, an HDD might significantly slow things down. There's no option to prune yet. However, you can use a remote node:

Has the GUI window scaling issue on low-resolution displays (i.e. a netbook's maximum screen resolution of 1024 x 600) been resolved in the latest GUI release? Pardon me as I haven't been regularly following this thread since I brought it up a couple of months ago.

I'd suggest to try it out and if it doesn't work properly for you, please open an issue on Github (or post it here and I'll add it to Github).

There was already an issue thread on Github which I added onto. Since it is still "Open", I assume that it hasn't been resolved...or has it?

https://github.com/monero-project/monero-core/issues/754

I am not actually sure. Issues sometimes remain open even if solved, because no one simply closed it. Could you check by downloading GUI v0.11.0.0?

Is it odd that a block explorer would show (exact) transaction amount as the sum of fees for the block in question?  I mean, how likely is that?

Could you link to the specific block?

Trying to install new wallet GUI..and not sure how backup my old wallet. There is no wallet.dat file.
Any help plz? Running windows 64 bit. Thx  Smiley

You can either restore the wallet with the .keys file + its password or the 25 word mnemonic seed. Note that, on Windows, you can find the .keys file in Documents\Monero.

Hi community. I tried to sent Monero from Bittrex to my core wallet but it always says Payment ID invalid on Bittrex. May I know what might be the issue?

Also, what does Base Addres on Bittrex XMR withdrawal page mean? Thanks in advance

If you're sending to your own wallet, you don't need to specify a payment ID. The base address is just the plain address (without the payment ID embedded). You can find it on the receive page of the GUI.

What to do if gui wallet refuses to sync?

Which operating system? In addition, could you provide some more details?

The wallet's saying that alternate blocks have been added at 1410885, 1410886, and 1411461 (two blocks).  What's up with that?

Those are just orphaned blocks. You can safely ignore that message.

Many thanks for sharing, but unfortunately my android version is to old. Do you know another good android wallet for monero?

Currently there are no other options. For a "roadmap", see:
