how long time for synch monero wallet?
no windows qt, what is the program for synch wallet?

Speed depends on your hardware and connection. It can be anywhere from one hour to days.

The program that does the syncing is bitmonerd. Once it is synced you use simplewallet (or one of the GUI wrappers such as lightWallet) to communicate with it.

The program is indeed bitmonerod, after it is fully synced you can open simplewallet. You can download the binaries from here:

https://getmonero.org/downloads/

My previous post contains a guide for setup as well.

Hello!

I am new to this and have never mind anything. Could someone assist me in getting started?

Sure, what are precisely the issues you have stumbled upon? There is a setup guide here btw, it is for Linux, but for Windows it's kind of similiar:

If but coin crashes after halving. All alts included dash would crash too right?

What makes you think that?

Because alts always suffer when Bitcoin suffers (?)

That depends on the overall trend as well. Just too many factors for making such an assumption.

IIRC the genesis block coins are unspendable.

They are, but you can still sign a message with the private key of the genesis block.

Introducing Monero Wallet for Chrome (beta), a new browser extension that connects with simplewallet to send and receive Monero from the browser!

Interact with a local Monero Simplewallet via the Chrome or Chromium browser!
  • Monitor your wallet's balance
  • Send and receive XMR
  • Create integrated payment addresses
  • Check incoming payment information
  • Store contacts' addresses and information
  • Make fast payments to Monero URIs found in open browser tabs (you can test this out on the Monero Development Team's donations page or on the donations button on the extension's Settings page!)

Monero Wallet for Chrome can be installed from the Chrome Store or from it's Github repository. This extension is not a full wallet, but rather is an interface to Monero's official command line wallet. As such, it is important to note that this wallet does not store any sensitive information about your wallet (view key, seed, etc), though you can use this wallet to view these pieces of information.

Note: For the extension to work, you need to have an instance of simplewallet running in "RPC Mode" on the same computer as your browser. On installation, a Getting Started dialog will help you set up simplewallet to talk to the extension. In addition to the dialog, I have developed scripts for OS X and Linux to aid in this setup, and plan to add one for Windows soon™. In short, you should launch simplewallet with the following flags in order to use the extension:
Code:
--rpc-bind-ip 127.0.0.1 --rpc-bind-port 18082
You can use this extension with any simplewallet wallet that already exists, or make a brand new one. You just need to "refresh" a new wallet once to make sure it is synced before connecting it to simplewallet.

Please, please, please give feedback if you have any! I've tried to make this as user friendly as possible, but it is still in beta, and does require a small bit of work up front setting up simplewallet. Until all of the functionality of simplewallet can be incorporated into the browser/extension, this wallet will require simplewallet to be run in parallel to the extension. I hope to announce a contest for voting on a set of wallet icons soon. Let me know what you think of the current logo, and if you have an idea for a new logo feel free to start designing one! More to come regarding this in the coming weeks. Finally, a huge thanks to /u/dEBRUYNE_1, /u/gingeropolous, and /u/dnale0r for their help testing the extension. Also a big thanks to /u/smooth_xmr, /u/moneromooo, and many more of the core team and other contributors for their help, advice, and support as I worked toward getting this together.

Hi. Wahr Is the Future plan oft monero. What Is it used for? Whats the different to bitcoin?

Future plans/goals:

https://getmonero.org/design-goals/

It's main purpose is private transactions and possibly private storage of wealth in the future (in my opinion to unstable yet for the latter).

Differences from Bitcoin:

Right now on ShapeShift the btc deposit limit for buying Monero is 0.0018btc  Huh  I guess it will really be back shortly.

Seems fine now.

You got me excited  Cheesy but alas no  Sad

You can change >600 Moneroj to btc but still not btc to Monero.  For a moment it seemed possible but no.  There are a few coins that were just added that can't actually be bought yet with btc.

Hmm that's odd, didn't show a limit when I posted. However, it does now. I am sure it will be fine within 24 hours.

Try the binaries that did get made.

Unit tests have been wierd. Dunno why release tried to make the tests. Then again I don't know much. But u might have functioning binaries in your bin folder

Indeed there are - thanks.  Not really satisfactory, though.

Apparently tests got broken in a recent commit, see:

Yes, tests got broken in a recent commit. You should use the v0.9.4 tag instead of master. Or you can merge this patch into your build tree: https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/pull/811

v0.9.4 was tagged on this particular commit:

That wall (~30k) at 220k seems to be a short, either protecting his current position or just waiting until the prices reaches 220k. See:

DASH was just added to BTC-e. Pretty disappointing.  Angry

It is a little bit disappointing, particularly as it's an entry into Chinese markets.

But really I don't see it any more disappointing than the situation concerning the current Facebook generation or the Western media curtain. As the revolution revolves so too do a myriad of concurrently evolving challenges and omnipotent antagonists.

At the end of the day, you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

How so? Look on the bright side, this probably opens the door for Monero as well in the foreseeable future.

Snapshot #56978 says at 0.03% - 34948.17422534
Snapshot #56980 says at 0.03% - 2346.06250770

Question: are those snapshots from API data or are they from screengrabs? Thanks,

API as far as I know.

Support for multiple currencies and digital assets. The new Mycelium app will support many more digital assets besides just Bitcoin. With the help of the plugin API architecture, anyone would be able to add support for any type of currency or asset, be it Litecoin, Doge, ColoredCoin, Ether, Factom, or personally issued assets like stocks, tickets, or hotel keys. We are uniquely positioned to have an advantage in this, because Mycelium already runs a set of highly optimized backend servers that handle and transfer digital assets. We plan to extend this backend architecture to support many more such assets.

Another fibbo broken. 14-17k is the new area to fish.

More like 165-180k, looking at horizontal support.
