561  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: January 11, 2018, 12:29:08 PM
Is there any Bitcoin debit card that is still working and available for EU?

Yes there is one (which I currently use). Mistertango’s MasterCard (and the IBAN account linked to it) is reloadable with bitcoins. Here is their ANN thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1972805.0

And their homepage:

https://mistertango.com/en/

Have a look at their fees and limits first if you want to be sure this card product is something for you:

https://mistertango.com/en/wp-content/uploads/Mistertango-pricelist.pdf

Not everyone is happy or agrees with their fees (despite the account and card being free) which is why I suggest you have a look at their terms first before applying for the account. Identify verification is required.

The IBAN account comes with a dedicated non-dynamic bitcoin address. Sending bitcoins to that address converts them automatically to Euros after 1 confirmation which are then instantly deposited into the IBAN account.

562  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A working cryto debit card? on: January 11, 2018, 12:15:06 PM
I have a Mistertango IBAN account and a MasterCard linked to it. I use the card when I travel and no ATM has refused it so far. Even here in Japan where only the Japan Post Bank and Seven Bank accept non-Japanese cards, I got some Yen with Mistertango’s MasterCard.

Shops accept it universally but PIN validation is required. Strangely Starbucks won’t let me key in the PIN so they refused the card outright. If a merchant refuses PIN input, Mistertango’s MasterCard will not work and the transaction will be declined.

I know of no other bitcoin card which is still alive and operational. BitPay offers a Visa card to US residents issued by Metropolitan Commercial Bank so that card might still be in active circulation and use. On their site it says

For US Residents:The BitPay Visa® Prepaid Card is issued by Metropolitan Commercial Bank, member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa, U.S.A. Inc. “Metropolitan” and “Metropolitan Commercial Bank” are registered trademarks of Metropolitan Commercial Bank © 2014. Use of the Card is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Cardholder Agreement and fee schedule, if any.

For Non-US Residents:The BitPay Visa® Prepaid Card is issued by Wave Crest Holdings Limited pursuant to a license from Visa® Europe. Visa® is a registered trademark of Visa Incorporated. Wave Crest Holdings Limited is a licensed electronic money institution by the Financial Services Commission, Gibraltar.

which suggests non-US residents’ cards are probably the only suspended cards. Or?
563  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoin issue on: January 11, 2018, 08:14:26 AM
Didn’t you just clearly admit that the payment takes a few days to process and it has only been a few hours since you paid? Why should the seller release the bitcoins to you if he has not received the money yet? For one, screen shots can be faked or photoshopped. A few completed transactions on the site doesn’t entitle you to demand the immediate release of coins if it really takes a few days for payment to be processed.

That’s an example of an intelligent seller. One who doesn’t release any coins on the strength of screen shots alone. He should wait for payment to appear on his account. Good job, whoever that seller is.

PS.. by “I am facing a hard time” did you mean a hard time scamming that seller?
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Urgent!][Bounty][100k]Need people with CryptoNote starter experience on: January 11, 2018, 04:38:32 AM
When you’re a newbie offering amazing rewards without actually providing extensive details about the project, you will naturally attract interest from the kind of people above only. More financially savvy developers and investors tend to be smarter and cautious after all the stories of scams and failed starter projects.

The more information you provide as evidence of this project’s legitimacy, the better your chances of getting much more serious expressions of interest in response.

565  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex $360K Frozen $0.00 remaining of $0.00 USD daily limit. on: January 11, 2018, 03:23:05 AM
Over $1m still nothing from poloniex getting lawyers involved now

This is painful to read. Over a million dollars locked away in uncertainty, not knowing if you will ever recover that money again. Some people lose their mind (or even their life!) for far lesser amounts.

Why would you store a million dollars in an exchange wallet if you do not know or control the private keys of that wallet? I understand it’s a trading platform so you need coins or money on that wallet but what I will never understand is storing an entire million bucks in an exchange at any given time. Why not push smaller coin amounts for trading and store the rest on an offline wallet?

Yours is a horror story all crammed in one sentence.
566  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a loan for my rent! i can give a collateral on: January 11, 2018, 02:35:13 AM
Yes, how much is your rent and what is your collateral? Your answer to this question will determine if anyone will lend you money or not.

Collateral must be valid and transferred to and kept by the lender until you repay the loan.

If it’s something like a car or passport or similar stuff, I doubt you will get a loan here.
567  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to buy Bitcoin for $ Cash in Moscow on: January 11, 2018, 12:43:58 AM
Meeting up in Russia for a bitcoin transaction can be a bit challenging. Safety and security are foremost concerns. There were situations in the past when sellers met up and were forced to transfer coins under threat of harm or even worse. Refusing to transfer coins might even lead to being assaulted. Scammers have been known to meet the buyer in locations where they have the upper hand, often with several heavy handed individuals involved.

Bitcoin is officially outlawed in Russia which implies any situation where BTC is involved might not get any support from the Russian authorities. Instead, there is a chance or risk of actually being seen as the criminal.

Completing the transaction online with escrow protection might be the safest way to do this deal.
568  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where can I make virtual credit card? on: January 10, 2018, 08:00:45 PM
So there's no way?  Cry

There is one other way:

https://bitpay.com/card/

On their website it says For US Residents:The BitPay Visa® Prepaid Card is issued by Metropolitan Commercial Bank, member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa, U.S.A. Inc. “Metropolitan” and “Metropolitan Commercial Bank” are registered trademarks of Metropolitan Commercial Bank

which suggests the cards are probably still available for US residents.
569  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where can I make virtual credit card? on: January 10, 2018, 07:56:41 PM
I know you mentioned cards must be reloadable with BTC or altcoins but this will be very difficult and challenging in the existing situation in the US where FinCEN laws make it very difficult for money transmitters to offer prepaid MasterCard or Visa cards.

If you urgently need a prepaid card, there are several prepaid MasterCard and Visa cards offered at CVS, RadioShack, Walmart and convenience stores in the US. I know you can’t load them with bitcoins but they are easy and quick to get. Some do not require ID verification for a card spending limit of $500 or less.

Here are links to help you find what you need:

Visa prepaid card store locator
https://usa.visa.com/pay-with-visa/cards/services-locator.html

Walmart
https://www.walmart.com/c/kp/prepaid-credit-cards

Greendot Visa
https://www.greendot.com/our-products/new-everyday?utm_source=CVS

Walgreens
https://www.walgreens.com/topic/promotion/reloadablecards.jsp

Target stores
https://intl.target.com/c/visa-mastercard/-/N-4rt94

These are just a few sources of prepaid cards and there are a lot more locations. The advantage is you can get them anywhere in the US and they don’t require a credit check or income references. And of course you can use them just like any other credit card to pay for Cloudflare. Another advantage is you can get them safely at stores without any risk of getting scammed.

The disadvantages are you can only load them with money at stores or loading locations. None of them will accept bitcoins.

570  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have BTC want Paypal funds 1:1 preev rate (Looking for supplier weekly) on: January 10, 2018, 10:20:01 AM
Hello, i'm newbie here but if i pay escrow fee can i deal with you?

I have around 800USD balance on PP.

My message is limited so please PM me your Skype if you're interested.

Nope, won’t work. Firstly, PayPal is reversible and is best used by trusted members only. Newbies are difficult to trust because of their lack of a history of unchallenged PayPal transactions and solid credibility. There is an extremely high risk of you reversing the PayPal payment after you get the coins.

Escrow won’t work. The reversibility risk defeats the purpose of escrow.

Newbies should use non-reversible payment methods. Over time, it’s the safest route to slowly but surely gain the trust of the crypto community.
571  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Double your BTC in 6 hours - Most Trusted bitcoin doubler - BTC2Double.com on: January 10, 2018, 05:43:47 AM
You’re a scammer of the lowest and worst kind. Preying on those who are naive and less sharp up there above their necks. There are no doubled coins sent. Ever. If there is such a thing, you wouldn’t find the time to post here. You will be busy doubling coins again and again and again.

You are posting here because you need victims to steal from. Your so-called proof and transactions are coins you sent to yourself. Only mentally ill people pretend they are someone else. There is help out there. Check the yellow pages for a list of psychiatrists.
572  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 50btc.com STOLE 64BTC / 1 Million $ today on: January 10, 2018, 02:32:58 AM
Who are you going to sue? The website is unresponsive which suggests they are probably long and forever gone. There is also a statute of limitations on civil claims you may make against anybody or any corporate entity. And even if it does advance to some kind of litigation, you might first need to hire a lawyer and that first step will cost you money. Money you will invest against an uncertain outcome.

You must also ascertain if they are solvent because if they are not, you might end up investing a big pile of money on legal fees, all for an I’m-sorry-for-your-loss judgment in your favor.
573  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Look for arbitrage partners on: January 09, 2018, 09:16:15 PM
Well said Smiley
Normal escrow services along with deposit and withdrawal fees makes it a lot less profitable then it may seem.
What kind of escrow services would be most suitable?

Trusted and reputable escrow providers listed here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897.0

Always independently confirm escrow terms with the escrow provider and never rely on copy/paste messages (especially payment instructions with bitcoin addresses) the transacting party claims the escrow sent him. Confirm terms and coin addresses with the escrow by directly establishing contact on the escrow’s profile page. Beware of fake or cloned links to an escrow’s profile page.
574  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fashiondrugs.com is a potential SCAM ! on: January 09, 2018, 09:01:46 PM
Be careful of shills and fake vouches trying to make an already confirmed scam seem like a legit operation so they can stall or delay the scam’s full blown exposure as long as possible and rake in more coins.

When a scam accusation is made, even if not fully justified or proven, it’s always in one’s best financial interest  to either discontinue buying from the site until active issues are resolved or to transact with caution.

All these scam tactics are enough to fill volumes of books about them. It’s almost like a science in itself. There should be a word for it. Scamology, for example.
575  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] Bittrex Account With 4.2XRP on: January 09, 2018, 08:45:02 PM
So is this basically and essentially what you do, going by your user name, selling accounts? You cannot possibly have an endless supply of accounts... unless you use questionable ways of getting them.

And how do you trade them? With or without escrow? There are always nefarious ways to recover sold accounts, even unverified ones. Scammers can do it and they succeed if they stubbornly pursue the account recovery and correctly provide the exchange with identifying information such as previous transactions and linked email addresses etc.
576  Economy / Goods / Re: sell drone and iphone x on: January 09, 2018, 07:42:44 PM
Be very careful when doing these deals. Always use escrow. Never buy or sell anything unprotected and never trade with strangers without escrow protection. Scammers hate escrow because it defeats their goal which is to cheat and steal.

Never trust strangers, especially on this site which is mainly populated by scammers who open new accounts every minute. Use escrow and you won’t regret you did.
577  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: southeast asia arbitrage opportunity! on: January 09, 2018, 07:31:40 PM
Too risky. Read my post on this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2714227.0

Agree to escrow collateral equivalent or in excess of the BTC amount you need, then perhaps sending bitcoins to a stranger in Indonesia might work safely.

If however you are asking for bitcoins upfront with a vague promise to return them at some point in the future, then this is extremely risky. It’s similar to lending money to you without knowing if or when you will repay it. Providing valid collateral is the solution. Valid and marketable collateral.

578  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Look for arbitrage partners on: January 09, 2018, 07:18:37 PM
Be careful of the risks and complications involved in this arbitrage projects. Profitable arbitrage in certain countries exist because of local regulations making it extremely difficult for local residents to move money out of the country. Yes, South Africa and their archaic exchange control laws is one such example. The government imposes limits on what residents can send or wire overseas. It’s basically a situation where you have your own money and you need to explain why or how you want to spend it, then wait for approval. Horrible.

India, Russia, Thailand, Argentina, China are just some of the countries with similar rules. Rules which make bitcoin arbitraging a potentially profitable activity.

Like any other transaction, one has to be cautious when doing these deals. The best way to be and stay safe if geographical distance is a barrier is to nominate a trusted escrow and then request the arbitrageur to escrow a certain amount of money or even altcoins (worth the required bitcoins) for the protection of anyone fronting bitcoins for arbitraging purposes. Never send bitcoins upfront without valid collateral. Arbitraging comes with risks and there is no guarantee of the abovementioned key points contributing towards solid yields or profits.
579  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB Top 20 Crypto for Paypal $ on: January 09, 2018, 06:59:53 PM
PayPal is an extremely risky of paying if you have no extensive feedback vouching for your credibility. Payments are reversible up to a maximum of 180 days. There is no amount small enough to make it worth taking the risk. Losing even $5 is still a loss so saying something along the lines of doing small deals first to establish trust is still risky.

.
My goal is to have bitcoins but as fees are huge, I would rather do : top alts -> btc,

It’s good to have goals, yes, but think of the seller too and not just yourself and your grand plans. This is about trading safely with minimum to no risk both ways for sellers and buyers. Why can’t you offer a safer payment method!
580  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Localbitcoins accounts required ! HUGE Payouts ! on: January 09, 2018, 06:48:27 PM

Trade Volume 20-50BTC + is best, Feedback score of atleast 97% but preferably 100%, 100+ Confirmed Trades, If the account is older thats better aswell. You can make £5K - £25K Per account. Over the space of 2/3 days the account will be worked on and we will release bitcoins on around 20+ trades, after eery trade we send your 50% right away, we run the account til its banned. You need to turn browser login guard OFF, give us the login, password and give us a bitcoin wallet to send your 35%. We will negotiate slots.
Contact Email: akinzonline@gmail.com

Scammers like you should be prosecuted to the maximum extent permitted by law and preferably beyond too, perhaps a much more painful way of reminding you how very wrong it is to steal. An entire day tied up to a wooden pole and fire ants let loose on your entire body should be one such way of reminding you.

It’s because of criminals like you that escrow should be made mandatory for every bitcoin trade!
