561  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you think about the "Iceberg Order"(or the hidden order) on: March 19, 2019, 03:22:03 PM
If people don't feel right about these ghost orders they are free to move to another exchange that only shows public orders.

I personally think it is a shady thing to do, hiding orders is ripe with manipulation.  I'd much rather have everything be out in the open.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could a coin price be locked in place? on: March 19, 2019, 03:15:03 PM
This is one of the big issues for people when they transact in bitcoin.  What happens if someone has to a return an item and bitcoin price has changed 20%.  you need to establish if repayment will be in fiat amount or the same bitcoin amount.  Some people use this to their advantage and take whatever has greater value.
563  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Binance crash/freeze regularly for anyone else? on: March 19, 2019, 03:05:10 PM
Binance is my favorite exchange and I recommend it to all my friends.  Never had a technical issue and they are one of the most trustworthy exchanges that handle large volume.  Of course they are a business and sometimes they make unethical decision based on money but that is capitalism for ya.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play poker to train trading on: March 19, 2019, 03:01:52 PM
The biggest thing for me between poker and trading is pure human emotion.  If you can't stay calm under pressure and control your emotions you will be setting your up for failure.  I believe this can be learned to an extent but a lot falls in your natural personality.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: dollar reserve holdings may not be there on: March 19, 2019, 02:47:21 PM
I haven't touched tether once while being in the crypto market.  I do not trust it and I don't want to get unlucky and be caught holding it while the whole thing gets exposed.  This just may be all fud and they may really have enough USD to back up their usdt but I'm not willing to take the risk.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain Bitcoin mining equipment is expensive on: March 19, 2019, 02:42:55 PM
The majority of people will make much more money if they just use their money to buy bitcoin instead of buying bitmain hardware.  By the time you receive your hardware projected profits will already have dropped off a cliff.  Its just not worth it to get into mining unless you have a source of free or nearly free electricity.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODL HODL portfolio on: March 14, 2019, 05:43:17 PM
My portfolio consists mostly of 75% useless coins, shitcoins and low value coins which I don't know if value will rise when btc will go up again.
The other 25% would be some I risk holding and hoping their value will go up after a year or two.
.

Lol, thats good to hear!  Don't get too down on yourself, I've seen many useless coins skyrocket in value over a short period of time.  You never know what will happen and its btter to hold instead of selling for pennies.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How gambling sites can cheat you on: March 14, 2019, 05:27:58 PM
Those are hypothetical situations... Not everyone thinks on scamming their Users that way.
Let's face it, if someone would want to do that they would be negating any profitable user in their end.
If an High Roller gets to be hit with that sort of cheat, they will eventually leave the Casino.

But its more profitable for them to selective scam customers that deposit large amounts.  They can't make enough noise to warn other players.   Scam casinos do things like changing your address, deleting your account, running indefinite KYC check, calling you a cheater and voiding your play.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another proof that cloud mining is a scam on: March 14, 2019, 05:22:37 PM
Its not really a scam but the likelihood of making a profit is slim.  A scam would be more like them just stealing your money and never doing anything.  People will always fall for these advertisements as much as you want to prevent them from getting sucked in.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 14, 2019, 05:15:45 PM
Just because, there was ONE win against warriors without Kevin Durant it is seriously silly to think Rockets have no chance of beating the Warriors. Don't get me wrong I knew from day 1 that Warriors would win the ring once again, there is no team that can go against them toe to toe for 7 games but that is not because Rockets lost to them without Durant. This season Rockets won against warriors without HARDEN on their team once, HARDEN I am telling you.

So, one match is no way of thinking which team is stronger, if the league played the playoffs in one match system instead of 7 games than I can assure you Rockets could beat the best of them and had a chance but 7 game series is just not a chance at all not because of this match but because they have no solution to Durant at all.

Warriors will easily win another championship.  Harden is a good player but he is overrated.  His stats make him look better than he really is.

No one from the east can even come close to challenging the Warriors this year.  The west has been the dominant conference for the last 20 years or so.  This is why Lebron was able to cruise to 8 straight final apperances.
571  Economy / Economics / Re: Barclays: ‘Facebook Coin’ to bring in $19 billion by 2021 on: March 14, 2019, 04:57:40 PM
Overhyped. Facebook doesn't need to use blockchain for this. They can simply make a centralized database for currency transactions on the platform. It ain't going to be a permissionless network and surely can't have the same properties like Bitcoin.

$19 billion, if that's really happening, then is just a waste of money.

Exactly, blockchain serves no purpose for Facebook except ofr hype.  They are trying to capitalize on the success of bitcoin.  This will most likely be something similar to Reddit Gold which has no actual monetary value.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think a "winning mindset" can get you what you want while gambling? on: March 14, 2019, 03:19:18 PM
Law of attraction is really popular now, there are lots of videos on youtube talking about it.  Many think its complete BS but its better to look at things with an open mind and no one can really say for sure how the universe works and if there are external forces making things happen.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain games contribute mass adoption for cryptocurrency on: March 14, 2019, 03:12:40 PM
Blockchain games are rather pointless, its 100x better to just build video games the tradtional way.  The only real benefit is having a decentralized lottery system without fees so players are able to win more.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: March 14, 2019, 03:08:00 PM
Tomorrow draw will be exciting. Can remember when was and even if was last time that I saw 4 premiership teams in qfinal. How there are no restrictions on this and we could see what they play each other in next stage. However it is possible to see all compete against different ones and with some miracle to see them all in semis.

Impossible, one of them will be eliminated but if you say one of them will be a champion it makes sense
This is the best season for the premier league club usually we see quarter final  dominated by LA liga
I favored the Premier League team this year.

The EPL has diminished in quality over the last decade as more star players tend to play in Spain instead.  I don't blame them, Spain has much better weather instead of dreary England. Cheesy

Real Madrid regrets Ronaldo leaving but they should be happy with all the trophies they got while he was there.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not just gamble with fiat? on: March 14, 2019, 02:57:34 PM
Fiat casinos are actually regulated and you won't get some shady off shore website witholding your funds because you didn't pass a background check.  It seems like none of these crypto services even offer anonymity and transactions are actually slower than fiat services.  Whats even the benefit of using crypto to gamblefor you guys?
In my own opinion, it's much better to gamble in online casino and using cryptocurrency rather than fiat casino.

I love crypto and what it stands for but lets not kid ourselves.  Its a lot easier to get your money refunded if you pay with a fiat service like a bank or credit card.  Once your crypto is sent it is in possession of the receiver and no one else can move it from that wallet.
576  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save your crypto, Disable WPS! on: March 14, 2019, 02:54:02 PM
One of the most simple ways to get hacked yet people fail to take the easiest prevention.  Password is step number 1 to security.  Fortunately most people don't have anything worth stealing on their computer since most don't own crypto and banks are very difficult to get access to if your not the rightful owner.
577  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Institutions secretly HODL Bitcoin? on: March 14, 2019, 02:49:26 PM
Institutions have been buying up btc while they have been telling others to sell.  Its all part of their game to deceive people so they cal pull in maximum profits.  You can't believe what you hear on mainstream media, its almost always best to buy when they are telling you to sell.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are you mining Ethash or Grin? on: March 14, 2019, 02:37:57 PM
I would advise dumping all your grin as soon as you mine it.  It doesn't look like Grin will see any substantial rise in price because of how high the inflation rate.  Convert it instantly to btc or eth if you want to see higher gains.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BNB and BTC to be accepted in an auction of luxury property in Australia on: March 13, 2019, 03:04:47 PM
We have to face the facts, bitcoin is rarely accepted for real estate and that isn't likely to change in the near future. Major transactions are done in dollars and dealing with bitcoin will leave the seller and buyer with more fees and with the volatility factor thrown in there its not worth using for properties.  This will change in the future once its more widely accepted.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There is always a chance on: March 13, 2019, 02:52:43 PM
This is why people continue to play the lottery even though the odds are slim.  Just having the chance no matter how small gives them hope and allows them to daydream on what they would do with their money.  The dark side of the lottery is that many winners end up broke and even dead.
