561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what are the reputable casino with vault feature? on: October 28, 2023, 03:40:21 PM
I don't remember any casino which which encouraged their users to use their account for storing purpose and vault represent the entire cold storage if I am not wrong so it can be considered an individual gambling account cause its just a database with number reflected according to the balance on the wallet not really the account is used as cold storage in any means.

Casinos discourage users to use casino from storing cryptos by enforcing wagering requirements for withdrawal so once someone deposits x sum in a casino they can't request x to be withdrawn unless they involve the funds with any wagering at least 1x.
Using a casino in such a way seems like a bad idea and I doubt that even casinos themselves want for this to happen, as they do not want a bunch of coins being stored with them without moving or doing anything, what they want is for people to gamble that money and storing it that way goes against their interests, besides it does not make a lot of sense when it comes to their clients either, as if they want to store their coins safely, why they do not just buy a hardware wallet and be done with it?

vault feature is to protect the bankroll and transaction fee. means i deposited $100 then I will keep $80 in my vault that casino provide, because i will deposit $20 three times the i will need to pay 5x fee to transfer 20-20 five times. and this is not bad for casinos, they add this feature in their casino so the users deposit more money then they usually play with and lose their emotional control, and wager or bust all money along with bankroll and the money stored in their vault. so it is good for casino if the player is unable to control when he lost those $20, he will deposit the remaining $80 in vault and lose it all in last.

So you are talking about wallet, since vault is generally used to term cold storage, and in casinos, there is no such term in practice. Of course, you can deposit 5x the amount that you wanted to deposit but the security of the funds is the same as of funds deposited to exchange wallet or generally in hot wallet.

But the wagering requirements are another catch with casino, you deposit $100 and only want to gamble with $20 and decides to withdraw the remaining $80 then most casinos won't allow it due to the wagering requirements.

Yeah, Vault is just another wallet isolated from the bankroll of the user. I believe casino use the term vault since gambler use it to protect their money aside from bankroll so that they can limit their losses on the money within the bankroll balance.

Vault is really helpful for those gambler that has the tendency to immediately all-in whenever they encounter a heated game. I understand also his explanation about the since user can really save fee for depositing all money on vault then just play part of it. The wagering requirements doesn’t matter if the total money is already allocated to gambling.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you use your free bets to ensure result on: October 28, 2023, 03:32:57 PM

We're given free bets after signing up to an operator when making a minimum deposit, we claim bonuses with it. I don't normally try claiming bonuses for I know the wagering requirement but I'm trying it this time.

If you are to use them to your advantage and turn it into coins how do you do it? Besides betting on both sides it sure is but you know the math of it.

Betting on both side with lower EV is really the best thing to do so that you can guarantee profit on your free bet. Use arbitrage calculator to determine what’s match is the best will give you positive EV or a minimal -ve. You can use this website https://oddsjam.com/betting-calculators/arbitrage-hedge-bet to calculate it easily.

I usually bet on a 1.9 to 2.1 odds bet whenever I get freebet since I have nothing to lose here and all the freebet profit is still subject to wagering requirements so I do the normal betting when using the freebet then use the arbitrage to farm wager.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2023, 10:47:06 AM
So we are getting into our usual classic game for tonight, the long last rivalry between Team Liquid and GG. Also I think BB could be going for another 2-0 win on  Azure Ray as well

I really like this pick since AR is struggling to find their game when they are beaten by LGD. Most of the time, Lower Bracket team has the advantage due to the momentum so I agree that this match can be an ez 2-0 for BB considering how great they are on defending high grounds despite they are on the disadvantage. BB is unbeatable by any team on the lower bracket.

About the Team Liquid vs GG, I'm afraid that someone on this 2 team might 2-0 the other one once they got the chance to have the lead. Determining who will win is tricky too so I will skip this pick and only copy the BB pick.  Cheesy
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spirituality and Betting - Do they Have any Connection? on: October 28, 2023, 10:38:07 AM
Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?

This is hilarious! Church is strongly opposing any type of gambling while the Bible itself is being use by the church as reference with their faith. Although there's no exact mention about gambling in the bible, it's still greediness anyone playing gambling becomes greedy at some point of their game that result to destroy their lives.

But God works in mysterious ways! Maybe some lucky players is indeed being supported by the God to win and help the needy.  Wink
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a “safe haven asset” on: October 27, 2023, 04:25:36 PM
For me, this is the first time I've seen a traditional company admit and call bitcoin a safe haven and consider it superior to gold. What do you think about this and should we stop calling bitcoin a risky investment?
https://blockworks.co/news/alliancebernstein-gold-bitcoin-returns

Bitcoin is too volatile to be called as safe haven asset but if the plan is long term then possibly right as long as there’s no interest being paid to the bank like what Microstrategy experience before during bearish market.

The company that said such statement show same positive remark on Bitcoin last 2020 which is the year when the previous bull run start. Possibly, they are heavily invested on Bitcoin since the last bullrun that’s why they said that statement to hype Bitcoin.

Source: https://www.coindesk.com/business/2020/11/30/investment-giant-alliancebernstein-now-says-bitcoin-has-role-in-investors-portfolios/

Bitcoin is the safest crypto assets in the market because it’s real decentralized and no one can manipulate the price but due to its volatile nature I’m not sure if Bitcoin can be categorized as safe haven.
566  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 27, 2023, 02:56:36 PM
But there is a difference between borrowing money on a forum and borrowing money from a bank. You won't need to pledge or provide your identity to the lenders on the forum, but what's the maximum amount you can borrow? A few hundred dollars or a few tens of thousands of dollars? It's just a very small amount and not even significant if you need a large amount of money to do business. At that time, borrowing money from banks will become more complicated and require more collateral, but you can borrow large amounts of money for your business.

Some user manage to loan here huge amount due to their trust score and known to have the capacity to pay that amount of money. I agree that forum loan is just a micro loan of we compared to bank business loan but even a micro loan on bank requires you same requirements so it means bank standard protocol is to ask about customers details regardless of the amount involved.

It’s not easy to loan in the forum if you are not trusted here while you can loan on the bank even if you are untrusted to your community with just submitting valid ID and source of income. I think this is the big difference on loaning based to trust alone. Even banks experienced borrowers that is not paying the loan tho.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: October 27, 2023, 02:44:42 PM
I doubt if we have high rollers who will admit, that having a lot of money means you cannot satisfy your ego or that your level of enjoyment is high that you will need to bet millions of dollars just to fulfill your dopamine level.

What do you think, if I have millions I will be satisfied betting thousands of dollars for fear of addiction that will lead to losing my fortune, but I really don't know if I will reach that level of having millions and still be moderate in gambling.

We have different way on satisfying ourselves and you can’t blame them since they are looking on the possible return not on the amount they are betting because they have enough. It’s really insane to see it if we use our own perspective since we don’t have money and we can’t afford it but it’s really different if you are already on their situation since you will keep chasing for more.

Human has no self satisfaction in nature and once they on gambling. Betting an amount that is in proportion to their financial status will only satisfied your cravings for gambling.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the increase in Bitcoin price benefits us on: October 27, 2023, 08:21:23 AM
advantage of Bitcoin to be use as payment method in many industry, which can make it more easier and user-friendly. All these have a potential benefits and positive contribution on our society, Let me have your opinion on how Bitcoin increase benefits you .

Most business will be discouraged to use Bitcoin as payment method with this kind of volatility unless they are holding Bitcoin long term. Any sudden price increase always balance with sudden price decrease which means a business can suffer huge losses once they receive payment on wrong time.

I plan to have business and I’m very glad to accept Bitcoin as payment since I’m a holder which I can replace the payment of Bitcoin using my salary in fiat for my business. Price increase benefits holder not a business owner since they typically exchange their Bitcoin on the spot using payment processor once someone pay them.
569  Economy / Goods / Re: Looking for partners in the export of certified bio extra virgin olive oil on: October 27, 2023, 08:15:40 AM
How much is the lowest floor price you can offer for your product? Can you provide the complete details of your product including the price per liters.

I want to try exporting some and sell it online but my main concern here is the shipping fee for the goods. Sending picture of your product might be helpful.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 26, 2023, 06:19:42 PM

Most of streamers playing with a special deposit bonus, lets say they deposit $10k and the site will give them 10x or 20x bonus or more from their initial deposit with different wagering requirement including min and max bet amount depends on their followers and their popularity.

Also usually the site who pays for the giveaways, not the streamer.
Many of them using scripted bots to make their channel looks alive or close friends who will win the giveaways.

Most of the popular streamer doesn’t claim bonuses because have partnership money from the casino they are promoting plus the referral commission from all the viewer who will sign up using their referral link.

I agree that most of their giveaway is just fake especially if the reward will come from their pocket but some streamers is genuinely giving away since one of my friend manage to win on one of the casino streamers giveaway although the amount is not high since the streamer he is watching is not that extremely popular.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 26, 2023, 02:57:46 PM
One of my older brothers bought bitcoin with that money, instead of keeping it in the bank, about 6 months ago, the price of bitcoin was 24-25k+, and he bought about 1 BTC. The price of bitcoin has increased to 34K+. In just 6 months, he has made a profit of 9k+ dollars, which would have taken more than 20 years to get from the bank. This means that bitcoin can become a millionaire if people invest in it at the right time. I also bought some bitcoins myself and did it by withdrawing money from the bank. Success is not possible if you do not take risks in life. I know how hard it is to make money and if it is to sweat your head and work day and night, then it is worth it. And we can make a lot of income by buying or trading bitcoin with the right rules. I think bitcoin is a bright future for us.

Your statement doesn’t even related to your title. There’s a lot of career available on Bitcoin since there’s a lot of development happening on Bitcoin. There’s also many companies now that focus on crypto which hires a lot of employees.

I’m not sure what career you are talking but Bitcoin is indeed very profitable if you buy at the right time or even buy at wrong price but you have patience to wait until it pump because it always pump which you can’t do when your funds is on the bank.  Your brother is probably having the time of his life due to short term huge gains.
572  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: October 26, 2023, 02:46:42 PM
Surprising really as we never think it comes early. The current pump teaches us to not just think about the negative and decline every day or assume that the next day will be the same as today. Well, for now, the only clue we have is the ETF and the upcoming halving but all of this supposedly has no huge impact on the market individually. We can bring us to the point also due to whales participation but whatever is the reason of the current pump --is pretty much appreciated for at least those newcomers have an idea where Bitcoin is going. And this should be put into our mind that the market is quite unpredictable.

Yeah, Bitcoin already shows us that it can pump hard even on dire situation. The last pandemic is the best example to demonstrate how Bitcoin can still perform better even with dire situation. Bitcoin dump near 1K on different exchange then later on rally until 67K which is the previous ATH.

Surely, Bullrun pump occur on a surprisingly manner and not with everyone predicting it just like what happened to the current pump. The potential approval of ETF plays a lot of part for the recent pump since most of the talking is about this subject on social which is being use by traders for their speculation.
573  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 end game sentiment check on: October 25, 2023, 05:43:49 PM
Any answer you feel like is correct.  Im not asking for a precise prediction just mostly a thumbs up or down, its purely the idea that peoples feeling alter and sometimes market effects are ironic; its worth noting how bullish the crowd is.

I don’t all time high or near it. Same to the price going back to 20k is almost impossible now that there is a clear bullish trend on last quarter of the year which typically unstoppable once Bitcoin enter to a bullish trend. I believe the price might hover from 30k to 40k level then next year might possibly reach the previous ATH then 2025 is the new ATH.
574  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities on: October 25, 2023, 04:43:13 PM
Technical question about this update since I just receive this notification about firmware update for ledger recovery. Will my ledger will be safe if I don't update my firmware to current latest version? I’m thinking that my ledger will stay as is which ledger doesn't have the ability to recover my seed phrase if I didn't install the latest firmware which they implements this recovery feature.

Their recovery feature sucks because they charge fee for an extra centralized service which defeat the purpose of hardware wallet.
575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Lose Everything Youve Gained in One day, or One Trade on: October 25, 2023, 04:29:46 PM
Moral Lesson: Use stop loss!

He can still limit his losses if he uses stop loss on his trade even though he is all in. But the problem with trading when greed kicks in is it very hard to control trading especially if he is on a winning streak then later has a minor loss which pushes him to easily do a risky trade just to recover losses immediately.

Many traders commit this kind of mistake especially the exchange offers an insane leverage that will surely liquidate traders position with just one strong price swing.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you leave the country or will you stay, stand up and fight for your right? on: October 25, 2023, 02:19:26 PM
If this law is eventually legalized, we are going to have Bitcoiners who would be persecuted and jailed for wanting to fight it. There are going to be Bitcoin martyrs. Will you leave the country and take your Bitcoin with you, or will you stay and stand up and fight (non-violently) for your rights?

Definitely not. I’m from 3rd world country which probably leaving my country as not advisable due to more financial problem. I’d rather sell all my Bitcoin rather than change country that has high cost of living. Choosing another 3rd world country is not my alternative choice either since finding new job will be hard unlike in my country which I earn decent amount.

I can live without Bitcoin but I can’t live properly on other country with different culture. It’s too much adjustment for me just to avoid being persecuted by owning Bitcoin while I can sell all my holdings before this law implemented since government gives advisory before they implement new harsh law in my country.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should have taken this risk earlier. on: October 24, 2023, 05:34:57 PM
I didn't plan to do anything with the money I saved for my education but recently the price of bitcoin has increased by about 10 thousand dollars and seeing this increase I think that I should invest in bitcoin now instead of leaving the money in the bank for these four to five months. Although I think it's a bit late for me to invest. Maybe I should have invested when Bitcoin was 26 thousand dollars then maybe I could have made a good profit at this point but there is no point in regretting what I didn't do Of course I will think about the present now. I think the price of bitcoin can cross 40 thousand dollars so investing in bitcoin now will not be a wrong decision for me at all.

Don’t blame yourself since no one can predict that Bitcoin price will pump since the whole market is under the influence of manipulation. Your money has different purpose and you have only 5 months before you use that while Bitcoin can be volatile downward that might lose value to your college funds.

You are just saying this because Bitcoin price is already pumped now. Don’t invest money that you can’t afford to lose. On your case, this money is precious to you so just focus on your goal and invest only the money that you don’t use.
578  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top Halloween Online Casino Bonus or Promo on: October 24, 2023, 04:57:00 PM
Gambling on Halloween seems like a boring way to enjoy such an awesome festival frankly speaking. It's better to just save money and use it on partying, watching movies and shows etc in my opinion.

Trick or treating during my childhood days will always be some of my fondest memories ever.

It certainly depends on each one of us and the experience we have had during previous Halloweens.
It is a festivity which is mainly celebrated in the United States and Canada, so it is normal from people around the world not to have other options than those virtual events and promotions offered by casinos, service providers and online games.
While you were a child knocking on door for candies, many of us were just watching movies on TV or gaming fun playing online games  and their Halloween themes.
Perhaps you have also noticed of many services of the play Store usually help some promotions, so does Steam (the PC games platform).

Halloween event here is not that huge celebration. We have just one simple costume party for a few hours then everyone go home unlike in US and other country which Halloween is an all day long party and other events.

I’m not a fan of gambling either during events since it might worsen my mood in case I lose on my game badly. I agree that it’s a case to case basis and I understand why some people preferred to gamble since many casino offer good promotion during this event to attract players to play especially to those that doesn’t go to the party.
579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $5k rise within an hour plus. on: October 24, 2023, 04:02:08 PM
Just to express my thoughts about this $5k upturn, inam having a hard time to accepting that a very close bullrun is underway if I don't see a corresponding altcoins price move with the bitcoin price move towing them along in every move. My resolve will be strong for a bitcoin bullrun when this happens else this is going to be followed by a long time dump.

Bitcoin is always showing this kind of buy pressure whenever there’s a strong price resistance broke while backed by a good news such as ETF approval. This price action happened too when Blackrock first filed their ETF and other event. Bitcoin show more stronger gain than that in the past bullrun.

It’s a sign how strong the Bitcoin market when everyone is positive. This is FOMO buying due to speculation for the upcoming ETF.
580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Did You Meet Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2023, 04:14:14 PM
I was introduced to Bitcoin in 2014, a friend of mine told me about Bitcoin, believe me, it didn't sound like a smart thing to my ears, I wish I had listened to my friend, I would have bought it in 2014. Unfortunately, I got to know it late and decided to buy Bitcoin in 2021. When Did You Meet Bitcoin? how much was the price ?

Same to you somewhere around 2014-2015 when Bitcoin faucet and Ponzi is very popular. My classmate on college introduced to Bitcoin mining which is through cloud mining that turns into scam. Luckily, I only invest Bitcoin from my faucet earnings and the amount is not that huge so I easily get over to that scam.

Despite my rough start on Bitcoin. I still manage to accumulate decent amount of Bitcoin through the use of faucet and paid to click sites even it’s just micro amount in fiat that time. My mother discouraged me to continue doing it because I’m wasting energy that time to run my computer just to earn small amount in fiat. My patience work when Bitcoin price first hit around 10K while I earn my Bitcoin when the price is still below 100$ each.
