561  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: June 02, 2014, 12:53:55 PM
I tried everything you suggest me but nothing.Am kind dissapoind for a new user using antminer s1 Embarrassed

I have set up dozens of these, always follow the same procedure, and never had any issues.

Step 1:
System Tab:
Set correct timezone
Replace ntp servers with 198.58.100.237, 209.118.204.201, 199.195.193.200, 189.211.62.210
Click 'Save'

Step 2:
Network Tab:
Click 'edit' on the WAN adaptor.
Address: 192.168.1.101 (last number can be anything you want between 2 and 253 that isn't being used, use something different from the original .99)
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.254 (This can be different depending on router)
Broadcast: Blank
DNS: 8.8.8.8
Click 'Save'

Step 3:
Status Tab:
Miner Configuration
Enter 3 different pools
Click 'Save'

In the top right it will now say in red something like '20 unsaved changes', click that, then save and apply on next screen.

Wait for about 10 seconds after you see it saying 'applying changes to cgminer' then type the new IP you set for the machine, im my example 192.168.1.101, and you should be off and running.  Occasionally you may need to go to system tab and reboot, or power off and on.
562  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: June 02, 2014, 10:25:50 AM
Whats not clear really in the checkout process is if you have to pay for shipping if you are hosting there. So in that instance I would email sales@ and they will probably send you a discount code for the shipping cost to add to the cart before checkout, and just make sure to put all the hosting info in the notes.

If you choose the hosting package, you just select the 'free shipping' option then it doesn't charge you.

I was wondering that too for the same reason, had 2 in my basket last night, went to pay this morning and wouldn't let me Sad

Hosting was added back.

Awesome, thanks Guy another 2 bought Smiley

PS Did you spot my follow up email last night about the error in one of my worker names . instead of _

We've temporarily stopped accepting new hosting requests, until we'll finish out data center enhancements and expanding work.

Any timeframe for hosting to be available again? The tax/duty on imports kills this for me.

565  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LeaseRig.net Rent & Hire Scrypt(Jane/Nfactor)/SHA3/SHA256/X11 HashPower! on: June 01, 2014, 10:54:26 AM
Is it possible to set a pool of my choice (as a provider) that is used when I am not being rented?

Yes, in the rig configuration page there is this where you can add 2 pools

You can also add more when the rig is not being hired from the 'Pools' link but they are lost once a hire starts, and it will return to the 2 set above once a rental is over.
566  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: May 31, 2014, 10:37:15 PM
Hi all, my name is Rich from Waveform Technology (from the chat QG posted)..

Just wanted to introduce myself, offer assistance with any questions regarding our hosting if needed.

Hi Rich,

For people like me in Europe, we typically pay 20% import duty which adds a lot to the cost of equipment, so sending it to the USA (or elsewhere) with no tax for hosting is starting to be a no brainer.

This bit on your website I'd like to query

Quote
You purchase and configure your mining equipment, ship it to our Data Center here in Troy, Michigan, we plug it into power and Internet, and you start making BTC's!

Obviously I wouldn't be able to set up the miner(s) as I would just ship direct from the manufacturer to you, is there a way round it, they are quite straightforward to set up and I wouldn't mind paying a fee for you to do it.
567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Kit Sales Open, official sales price $2260 per Kit on: May 31, 2014, 02:46:58 PM
I don't get it - no PSU and no case and only $49 cheaper than an assembled full unit?

How is that AWESOME???

It's our fault for asking for a better deal on the S2's, bitmain just gave us a big FU Smiley
568  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner Batch 4, Price changes daily, now 2309 USD for 1TH/s on: May 30, 2014, 10:55:19 PM

Whilst I appreciate your efforts and I've been in both the previous group buys....

I'd much rather have a deal on the SP10's that are in stock, the price hasn't moved for a while and difficulty has gone up, as much as I love mine I can't pull the trigger on any more at current price.

Given that most peoples vouchers have expired, bitmain are going to have to do some serious price cuts.

They sold some in a group buy a week ago (that I missed grrrr) for $1650 so there is plenty of margin in them for a price drop.

Come on Bitmain, got coins, ready to buy, would just like a reasonable chance of a ROI Smiley
571  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: May 30, 2014, 05:14:27 PM
Yes, I have lots of them and it was working until earlier today, so I think something has gone wrong
If a reflash doesn't cure it, it might be a broken controller.
Can you configure another interface and bring it up? ie: wifi/lan?

It's wierd how I can connect to it ok from the ip, but anyway just moved it next to my router, turned on wireless, deleted the wan interface and working again over wi-fi.
572  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: May 30, 2014, 03:05:08 PM
Do you have your DNS stuff set correctly? Had this problem when moving my S1's from my home to my office. Home was 192.168.2.1 and work is .254, or you can use google 8.8.8.8.

573  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: May 30, 2014, 12:01:23 PM
Got a strange network problem with one of my Ants

I can log in fine through the GUI and SSH

The status page shows this which is why it's not mining

However the network page does show it connected.

I've triple checked all the settings, and even done system reset with the button on the controller card.

Any ideas ?

All machines now sold.
575  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.419 BTC for 180GH/s on: May 29, 2014, 10:04:42 AM
Blatant plug <sorry> but if anyone in the UK is after S1's I'm selling some of mine as I need to make room for new equipment.

2x S1's and a Dell Server PSU for BTC0.75

576  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2x Antminer S1 & Dell Server PSU. 0.75BTC. 5/5 Sets Available (UK ONLY) on: May 29, 2014, 08:45:22 AM
Price dropped to BTC0.75

These would cost over BTC1 from Bitmain after the import duties and you would still have to buy 1 or 2 psu's

As an added bonus the miners will be pointed to your pool(s) as soon as payment is received, this means that you can see them working and you are earning until they are shipped, which would be handy if you bought on say a friday night as they wouldn't go out until Monday.
577  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2x Antminer S1 & Dell Server PSU. 0.8BTC. 5/5 Sets Available (UK ONLY) on: May 28, 2014, 03:32:52 PM
How much does one set pull from the wall?

765w according to the meter, the beauty of these Dell PSU's is they are designed to run 24/7 and if one goes they are plentiful to replace at £16 each.

578  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: May 28, 2014, 02:19:07 PM
Well the mystery of my super hot board has been solved.

When i took the lid off to fit the VRM heatsinks everything was working fine, then about halfway through doing them I noticed the fan stop, as I observed it over the course of an hour it was stopping/starting quite frequently, this was leading to the hot temps and dies shutting down. New fan fitted temps way lower, no dies shutting off and time to start raising the clocks Smiley

579  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: May 28, 2014, 11:02:44 AM
Yes, I agree with you crashoveride.
He needs to get everything out.

But still is very hot with such low frequency+voltage.

Whats your ambient, tigggger?

Thanks to you both

I went mad ordering Antminers a while ago so despite having 2 air conditioning units temps are higher than I would like in the room

Got some stick on heatsinks for the vrm's and some of the antminers will be going soon which will hopefully help
580  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 2x Antminer S1 & Dell Server PSU. 0.75BTC. 0/5 Sets Available (UK ONLY) on: May 27, 2014, 11:20:58 AM
I need to make space for new equipment that is arriving shortly so looking to sell off some of my Antminers. I will be selling 10 machines and 5 PSU's as pairs, so 2x Antminers and a PSU with all cables ready to plug in and mine.

They have been run at 375mhz which gives 191GH each, 382GH total, both run fine on the Dell PSU's fitted with sidehacks boards and cables.

Looking for BTC0.75 for each set (or equivalent bitstamp price for bank transfer/cash), this includes postage.  I think it's a reasonable price as it's cheaper than the machines cost from Bitmain, no 20% import duty and fees and you get a free PSU, but if you want to haggle go ahead the more you want the more I am likely to deal Smiley

Collection is fine, and you can pay when you pick them up, I'm located in Lancashire. I will NOT send outside the UK.

No problem with escrow you pay the fees, I've used SebastianJu in the past or squall1066 is acceptable.
