@Avirunes Nice one, I'll take a look at it in more depth tomorrow when I've got a little more time. The next update to this list will likely be this Sunday which you can expect around 100 more users added depending on how many are duplicates etc.
I've also been in contact with mprep and mods are allowed to act upon archive evidence. He also suggested that keeping the list here on the forum would probably be best from a reporting/moderation point of view. I may still go the spreadsheet route as well as maintaining a list here. I'll likely tidy it up a little once there's more than 500 entries and put it in code tags.
I've fallen behind in a lot of my work this week, so I'll make sure to knuckle down and get this update out Sunday. (Welsh vs English rugby game might extend this deadline though)

My understanding is that there's currently a huge backlog of accounts which need to be recovered as there's a lot of them waiting several months for their account to be recovered. It'll likely be just as long for you. Check out the other threads in meta and you might get some sort of estimation by the accounts which have been recovered.

It doesn't matter if you haven't committed any further "sins". You've already tried several times to gain what is not yours and the damage has already been done. If you prove to the community you are a valuable member instead of threatening members maybe they would of been a little more lenient.

Nice spotting. Unfortunately, this fools a lot of people and it's very difficult to prevent it. Probably sent by one of the many account sellers over in the marketplace looking to hack the account and get rid of it at soon as possible.

Reports may need be done, but they certainly shouldn't be posted on the forum hopefully theymos is considering this and will put a rule which requires them to move to off site. They could still discuss about the bounty in the thread.

I'd like to know what pills I'm taking as well.
Probably something to control the headaches from all the false accusations that are being thrown at you right now or should I say ever since you've been here probably by accounts directly connected to QS and if he does indeed have a source will probably be owned by him as well.

In a self-moderated thread you can use your middle-mouse on the delete-button. This opens a new tab, and deleted the post without popup asking for confirmation. This is a very fast way to delete spam.
I've had to stop doing that as I run into the 4 second report limit. As long as it's on topic, and is adding to the discussion then I don't see why we should limit people by not letting them comment on an abandoned project. I'm surprised thast there isn't a restriction here that prevents new members from poating anywhere other than in the beginners forum until they have made 10 posts, or achieved a certain rank. I would have thought that would make the forum easier to moderate, and may cut down on the creation of alts.
The problem with this is it's not just newbies with <10 posts doing these types of posts. Yes they are the majority, but I've collected a nice list of users who are posting these types of messages. There needs to be some sort of restriction in the altcoin section, but I'm not entirely sure what that could be. I've brainstormed and looked at some other peoples input and a lot of the solutions either have big downfalls or restrict the genuine users. Believe it or not but there's actual discussion that goes on in those threads that are spammed with these types of replies.

I'm not sure I get what you mean, but I'm assuming you mean some sort of automatic 2 factor authentication with a bitcoin address? I don't think a automatic system will be introduced as it's been mentioned a few times that the admins look at each case in depth hence why it takes so long.
Maybe giving global moderators the permissions to be able to recover accounts could be a option though.
We are going to have content-less threads no matter what system is implemented. We've had several members making nonsense threads in hope that someone will give them merit. But, at least this prevents hundreds of account farmers from making free accounts and eventually earning money on signature campaigns just by spamming.
Until theymos introduces restrictions upon the altcoin section specifically and any other bumping services, all you can do is report the posts. I know this takes several hours a day and means you'll be reporting hundreds if not thousands of posts, but even if you can report 1 post and leave a message in the report field that there's many other replies like it.

I'm impressed by the desire that Lauda and some other members show here to keep the forum clean from scammers and have shady behavior even sometimes preventing an actual scam from happening before it's even happened. I would definitely argue that Lauda not being here the forum would be in a much more worse state than it already is.
Of course there's a pattern with these sort of threads that nothing the person says against Lauda and the like isn't backed up with anything and is normally just nonsense and retaliatory.
Why hasn't Darkstar been negged yet? This is obvious abuse of the system by giving them 1 whole merit. Almost certainly an alt account. On a serious note I feel for Lauda and aTriz as they are accused of everything under the sun every other day.
Every single one of Lauda's trust ratings are public, and hes spot on with his ratings most of the time. I doubt they'll be any evidence provided by your source and once the source can't show any evidence to back up the claims should probably come under investigation themselves after trying to slander someones name with malicious intent.
Anyway, drug use/addiction is a personal issue and depending on the severity and other circumstances should be helped rather than ridiculed.

There needs to be changes to the altcoin section, and altcoin related annoucements on all boards. I'm sure theymos is aware of this and is probably looking at solutions.
I would probably go ahead and say that altcoins are the biggest time sink in their entire workload and hundreds, if not thousands of posts are removed each day. It would be interesting to know the exact figures.
Until theymos comes up with a solution and implements it all you can do is report them. If the mod is not active, then possibly bringing up the discussion about adding a new mod to the section could be beneficial. It's likely just a workload issue for him though.

You are buying hash power which is literally the definition of cloud mining. Yes, they don't do contracts and they give you the option to mine on any pool and they've got a few features which are different to the contracts such as pay as you go and other things, but it's still cloud mining.
They even admit themselves they are a cloud mining service with a few differences to traditional ones out there.

You should probably contact some of the renowned esrcows around here on the forum whether they would be interested in joining. A lot of people will only use these escrows which have escrowed hundreds of Bitcoin. I'm not sure you'll get many people joining a discord to do trade though.

I did some looking around and it seems the consensus is that it was sold, but no one knows who bought it and who was the owner before it was sold. It'll probably come out eventually. It's a real shame that the account will now be abused to spread misinformation and big up Bitcoin Cash.
Could potentially have been hacked too due to the inactivity.
But I have a feeling this might not be enough...
As long as the address was posted by that account publicly or sent via a personal message then it will be enough. I believe staff members have confirmed they accept ETH addresses. The link to the spreadsheet probably isn't going to be enough. You'll need a unedited post by the hacked account which is on this forum. If it's been deleted by the hacker then let the admin team knows what thread it was in and they can check that.
As far as I'm aware it's only when they are offering a bonus to post on their thread. Also, if posting an address isn't required then that's also a reportable offense. Stricter rules or more restrictions need to be brought in though. I'm not sure what the solution would be to prevent this, but it would be nice if the community could discuss and come up with some solutions.
If you see a thread that offers bonuses to it's members for posting in their thread, effectively bumping it then you can report it to the mods. They'll have their thread removed, and likely their accounts banned. If you want to you can always leave negative trust with archive evidence.
But, they'll likely be banned anyway.
