581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex shutting down: What can exchange do differently to avert this trend. on: November 22, 2023, 10:51:28 AM
Personally, I do not recommend any centralized exchange. There is no centralized exchange that is safe or out of the reach of the SEC. This is of course in addition to the many other disadvantages related to centralization.

Everyone thought that Binance was the safest central exchange in which crypto assets could be stored without fear, but today’s news shattered all these illusions, after CZ admitted to money laundering and the charges against Binance and the large fine that must be paid.

Therefore, I advise you to stay away from all central services and go towards DEX that does not require KYC, or the best solution is to store your crypto assets in an non_custodial wallet.
582  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CZ officially bids goodbye to Binance. Will Binance Crash or still stand Strong? on: November 22, 2023, 10:14:07 AM
I think Binance is in big trouble, Binance itself is guilty and accused of money laundering, not only the CEO CZ who faces prison sentences that may reach 18 years, Binance must pay a fine of $4.3 billion in compensation to the government.

$4.3 billion is not an easy number even for a large exchange like Binance. Most users are now withdrawing their money, so where will Binance pay this huge number from?? If it is from the saved cash or its assets, it will be a devastating blow to the exchange. Even if the loans are long-term, they will take years and years to be repaid.

Panic will now spread among users who have already begun withdrawing their assets, and this may cause Binance to go bankrupt.

585  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will SEC delay on Spot ETF approval do to Bitcoin's price?@ on: November 21, 2023, 09:52:22 AM
Personally, I do not expect any setback in price due to the SEC's decision to delay its decisions on the Spot ETF application, I expect that we have overcome the negative impact.

Bitcoin price is moving sideways at the 36-37K$ area, and it remains stable there so far, preparing to move towards the 40K$ area, I hope.

This is not the first time that the SEC has postponed its decision, and yet we find that the effect is very weak or non-existent, and if it happens, it will be in a very short time, so I do not see any fear for Bitcoin at the present time.
586  Economy / Economics / Re: Us-Based Crypto Exchange Kraken to release significant data to IRS on: November 21, 2023, 09:33:12 AM
According the article, increased compliance from cryptocurrency firms could compel government to enact clear and friendly policies towards crypto. Do you agree to this?

Or do see this as contradicts the ethos of financial privacy and empowerment that attracts many people to cryptocurrency?
Which friendly? Governments do not have any friendly policy towards cryptocurrencies, neither now nor in the future. They only pursue one policy, which is complete control while eliminating anything related to privacy.

This is the only case in which governments can have a friendly policy towards cryptocurrencies, I mean when crypto exchanges turn into something more like banks under the complete control of the government.

This thing that governments are seeking is completely inconsistent with the concept of Crypto.
587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am the creator of Bitcoin on: November 21, 2023, 08:54:21 AM
It is better to find something useful to do in the forum than to make stupid jokes. There are many useful things you can learn to do in the forum instead.

If it's just a joke to create some fun in the forum, that's okay, but if you have other goals, it's better not to make yourself vulnerable to ridicule.

Many people have claimed to be Satoshi before but they ended up being the mockery of society so you better stay away from such things.
588  Other / Meta / Re: Is this quality of life idea? on: November 21, 2023, 05:56:50 AM
Yes, I am with you on this point. All members check the Bitcoin price several times a day and it would be very good if we saw the price fixed somewhere on the forum, but not for the price to be fetched by a third party.

I mean if the price of Bitcoin was displayed in a fixed place (at the top left of the forum page, for example) instead of placing a link to the price with the word “BTC” written every time.

For example, I use the BitcoinTalk Script add-on to display the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum at the top of the forum page as shown in the picture:

It would be nice to have a similar script integrated with the forum page.

590  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BIS has said an important opinion about Stablecoins on: November 20, 2023, 04:55:39 PM
Yes, they are honest this time. Unfortunately, although they always lie, it has become known to everyone that currencies that call themselves “stable” are in fact similar to CBDC and perhaps worse.

But despite this, they are still lying and hypocritical. Today, by chance, I was reading this thread in the Bitcoin section:
~85% of money doesn't exist

If you read the topic, you will find that, according to the report, 85% of paper currencies such as the euro and the dollar do not exist on the ground, but are only numbers in banks.

Isn't this the same argument they use to accuse "stablecoins"??!!! This is a real farce Huh!!
591  Other / Meta / Re: Is this quality of life idea? on: November 20, 2023, 06:52:13 AM
As I see, most members did not welcome the idea very much. I also do not find the idea useful for the forum from a practical standpoint. It may not seem like a bad idea, but at the same time it does not have much benefit.

We do not have to do free advertising for third parties. In addition, it is not possible to specify the preferred site for members to fetch prices. There are many members who do not prefer both sites (cmc/cg) and prefer a different site.

Also, do not forget that we are a forum to talk about Bitcoin, and the word "BTC" may appear thousands of times in different topics every day, so we do not have to fill the forum with useless links because they will certainly cause slow page performance and other problems.
592  Economy / Economics / Re: ~85% of money doesn't exist on: November 20, 2023, 06:16:36 AM
This is new and exciting information for me. This is truly terrifying. This shows how adept governments are at lying and defrauding people. What a farce.

These shameful numbers remind me of the legal problems that the US government raised against USDT and then against BUSD, claiming that it did not have sufficient coverage in dollars for its crypto assets, and now what will they say about the dollar and the euro? Do they have sufficient coverage with paper money? what a shame!!!

But the positive side is that these huge differences between bank account numbers and paper money herald the imminent end of all fiat.
593  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: البيتكوين و الانتخابات الأرجنتينية on: November 20, 2023, 06:03:18 AM

Quote
https://edition.cnn.com/2023/11/19/world/argentina-vote-milei-massa-nov-19/index.html

594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Javier Milei just won the presidentiial election in Argentina on: November 20, 2023, 05:55:36 AM
Congratulations, firstly, to the Argentine people for obtaining the appropriate choice, and secondly, congratulations to the Bitcoin lovers in Argentina, because choosing a president of the country who loves Bitcoin will be in their interest, and they will certainly receive many facilities in their work.

What is important is that the new president does not abandon his promises and adopt an opposite policy. We are always accustomed to politicians saying things during election campaigns and then doing the opposite after they win.

I look forward to the day when we see the demise of these old governments that understand nothing about Bitcoin and technology and be replaced by young governments who know the true value of Bitcoin.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really too Expensive? Then Buy Satoshis on: November 19, 2023, 03:23:42 AM
My dream or goal is to get 1 BTC, but it has become very difficult given the current prices and of course it will become more and more difficult as time progresses, so perhaps I will be content with getting Satoshi.

People who are not able to own 1 BTC should accumulate as much satoshi as possible so that they can accumulate a good amount and keep it in the long term, and thus its value will inevitably become very large over time.

As we mentioned many times in previous topics, following the DCA strategy is best at the present time, before the big rally begins.
596  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aptos Fake/Scam Airdrop Site on: November 18, 2023, 11:26:43 AM
The site has been reported for phishing.

It's good that you didn't connect your wallet, basically I'm suspicious of all the airdrops that ask participants to connect their wallet, they can just ask for the address and then send the airdrop to the address without connecting the wallet.

These sites have become very popular in the recent period, especially those that use the names of big airdrops because they are tempting to victims, so the wallet should not be connected to any site for these airdrops.
597  Other / Meta / Re: Need some support for Nexus (NXS) thread transfer on: November 18, 2023, 06:05:22 AM
Since you say that Theymos asked you to do this and you also say that KryptoKash, the owner of the original thread, left the project and created a bad reputation for himself, it is certain that Theymos believes that this is the best for the benefit of the community, but he wants to take everyone’s opinion and perhaps it would be better if there was a poll.

Of course, Theymos can change the OP easily, but he clearly wants to see the community’s opinion on this point before he does so. It is clear that everyone welcomes the decision and there is no opposition to this opinion.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador Nayib Bukele Portfolio Tracker on: November 18, 2023, 05:29:43 AM
We don't need to track the portfolio of Nayib Bukele, President of El Salvador, or Michael Saylor, President of MicroStrategy, to know the importance of DCA. Although tracking it has a significant positive impact on the Bitcoin market in general.

I respect these two people (Nayib Bukele and Michael Saylor) because they believe in adopting Bitcoin practically and theoretically and apply this belief on the ground with all sincerity. We need this type of influential people who believe strongly in adopting Bitcoin until we reach that day when we will witness global adoption. For Bitcoin.
599  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: سأشتري USDC بسعر +7% on: November 18, 2023, 03:19:07 AM

600  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Fake transaction accelerator that requires typing your seed phrase!!! on: November 17, 2023, 12:01:01 PM
I tried the report but the site takes a long time and gives me an error message:

I tried using a vpn but the same result.

In any case, it is expected that the phishers will exploit all circumstances to their advantage, given the current high Bitcoin network fees and the increasing demand for accelerators, it is certain that they will create more of these fraudulent sites.

Unfortunately, despite all these warnings, some beginners still fall victim to this primitive type of fraud and easily give up their private keys.
