581  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2x Series Two 1-BTC Brass Casascius Coins on: October 12, 2017, 11:12:13 PM
So pretty much face value when you take the BCH on the coin into account? I can appreciate wanting to get a bargain, but there is no need to insult the guy Tongue

I think BCH will prove to be a short lived threat to the virginity of Casascius coins, it's well on its way to hell now, but who knows how many other forks are in the pipeline.

Agreed that BCH is a joke and I feel sorry for the bag holders buying it. Give it a few more months and the BCH will be worth probably $30-$40 tops...

Offering 2.3 for the set

Oh don't get me wrong, I feel exactly the same way - I hope that Bitcoin Cash dies off as well. Was just saying that at this moment in time, it is close to an additional 0.1 BTC on a loaded coin like this, so it is fair to take that into account when making an offer.

Since it's been about 8 months since the last bid, should you maybe open up an auction or a new post?  I'd be willing to pay 1.1 BTC each for both.

583  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auction] The Moon, our Home Away From Home Art Print Poster on: October 12, 2017, 08:18:20 PM
Nice artwork. That said, you shouldn't be tagging these posts with [AUCTION]. These should instead be tagged [WTS] for "want to sell".  I'd also recommend creating one thread with all of your designs and sales information. It's a little difficult keeping up with multiple threads.

Like the posters! I have to agree with hybridsole's post here though, OP. You are selling these outright, so please use the [WTS] tag instead of auction as it will confuse some people. Also, please don't create any further threads - add any further posters you may wish to sell into the threads you have already created.

Thanks!

Does anyone know where can be found a secondary markets for such coins? or what the price of exchange is around?

The only likely secondary market will be right here, on this forum. That said, I doubt you will see many appear for sale.

As for the price? Not able to answer your question as we have zero sales to go on, but it's going to be down to whatever someone is willing to sell one for, and what one may be willing to pay.
587  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda/TMAN/minifrij extortion attempt on: October 12, 2017, 03:22:01 PM
Now, bitcoin has become more popular than ever, of course there will be scammers. Not just about the popularity, but the fact that it's value is immeasurable and can make someone filthy rich. So, we need to be more careful on everything.

Thanks for your much appreciated input. We'll all make sure to remember those lines of wisdom.

wanna buy my account? Smiley

Now why would you want to ruin your Legendary account like that? You spent way over a year getting to Legendary just to sell the account? Sorry. Not happening.
591  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION - PAYMENT DUE!] BTCC Mint’s New One and Two Bitcoin Silver Coins on: October 11, 2017, 06:00:11 PM
Zepher, could you care to share some pics of the booklets? I love the attention to detail BTCC puts in the presentation of their products. They did an awesome job on these!

Sure. Give me half an hour and I will edit this post with some pics of the booklet for the 2 BTC coin.

Edit: I'll do it tomorrow morning, the light isn't very good now.
592  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of scammers - GoldMine Token on: October 11, 2017, 03:56:07 PM
@OP - After reviewing your website, their site & their supposed ICO, I have left a negative rating to warn users that they have basically copy/pasted everything, and that their ICO is a scam and to avoid it.

Best I can do Smiley

Thanks!

That's pretty insane, as they clearly show 1 and 2 bitcoins. If it would be someone who knew something about crypto you might've gotten in troubles. Well yeah, any way to transport them contain some risks I'd say. I've heard from insiders that they're working on some nice coins, So perhaps an other trip to China in the future huh, who knows Cheesy I travelled all the way from western Europe. Quite a trip, but well worth it. Did you stay in the Hilton hotel?

Haha, they did turn the coin over and, looking at the hologram, say "What is this?". I avoided the question and just carried on with my "commemorative coin with no value other than silver" speech Cheesy I know I would have been in trouble if the person I spoke to was clued up about crypto, but that didn't happen.

I have heard the same thing, but apparently we are not allowed to talk about it Wink If you heard what I did, then I'd say the next project sounds pretty awesome!

Yep, so you did as much travelling as I did then! I ended up staying in the Marriott in Shanghai Centre. Was a sick hotel, enjoyed my stay there.

Enjoy your coins man - you earned them!
595  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION - PAYMENT DUE!] BTCC Mint’s New One and Two Bitcoin Silver Coins on: October 11, 2017, 10:42:01 AM

Crazy that you declared them, I'm surprised you didn't get troubles with it. They told me that some of the poker chips got stopped at customs before. Especially since China doesn't look so pro-crypto anymore nowadays. Anyways good that everything worked out for you! Cheesy Which serial numbers did you get, since I don't see you on the auction? Very nice pictures you have there Cheesy

I was pretty surprised too, but with the amount of coins I was carrying I didn't want to take the risk. Declaring them turned out to be the best thing I did really. I obviously did NOT mention Bitcoin or cryptocurrency and just said they were "commemorative coins" with nothing other than silver value. Phew Cheesy

This set above is #38 on both coins, 1 BTC & 2 BTC. There is another set that belongs to someone else, along with others that have numbers that don't match up. Just glad I have a set of both though Smiley

You are quite right, I did not participate in the auction. I ordered directly off of the website, booked my trip to China, and went!

Utter insanity, but I might do it again (after a long rest haha) Tongue

Where did you travel from by the way?
596  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION - PAYMENT DUE!] BTCC Mint’s New One and Two Bitcoin Silver Coins on: October 11, 2017, 10:28:48 AM

Hey Zepher, I must have just missed you there. I picked them up on 09/10. Was indeed on hell of a crazy trip Cheesy how long did you stay?

Hey! I flew from the UK on 3rd October, and flew back on the day you collected yours - the 9th, so just under a week in total. Was a fun time, but stressful worrying about getting the coins out of the country. Didn't have any issues though, what about you?

haha I bet it was fun though, as I was reading the comments it was making me think heck I might go to China to pick up coins for a group just for the trip. So there are no problems taking precious metals through customs?

beautiful coins love the size of the 2BTC

It sure was Cheesy Definitely something to cross off the bucket list haha.

There are restrictions on taking precious metals out of the country, yep. I was honest with them and declared the coins at customs at spot price (crazy, but it worked out for me anyway). After doing that I didn't have any issues.

Here is some pictures of the set I have (the boxes just turned up this morning, thanks BTCC!! Cheesy ).

597  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION - PAYMENT DUE!] BTCC Mint’s New One and Two Bitcoin Silver Coins on: October 11, 2017, 07:22:23 AM
Just wanted to say thanks to both Tendai and Bobby for making my trip to China to collect my coins as smooth as possible.

Got home safe and sound with them Cheesy

Gotta admit, that was one hell of a trip. The pure insanity of it.. flying halfway around the world to pick up some crypto coins Grin

Sorry people, I do not have any for resale, have already been asked several times.
598  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Is is me or is the address on this Sol Notic Binary Eagle incorrect? on: October 03, 2017, 05:19:06 AM
Nope, it's not just you. The entire supply of Sol Noctis Coins had this 'error' with the last ( 2 or 3? ) characters missing from the end of the BTC address.

The coin is still loaded, but every Sol Noctis out there has this same issue.
599  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION ends 14/10] - WOODEN BITCOIN - THE BLACK SWAN - BY WOODCOLLECTOR on: October 03, 2017, 04:31:33 AM
OP. You forgot to mention this piece was hand carved..

Well...
In that case, I bid 0.12BTC  lolz

It is?! Shocked

Okay then, surely this is worth 0.15BTC?!
600  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION ends 14/10] - WOODEN BITCOIN - THE BLACK SWAN - BY WOODCOLLECTOR on: October 02, 2017, 09:20:17 PM
On the condition that you are indeed in possession of this piece, it is still in great condition, and that it is currently located in the United Kingdom as per your previous post, then I am prepared to place an opening bid for this.

0.1BTC

Please update with further pictures showing proof of ownership (username/current date) when you get the opportunity.

Thanks

For something 'hand carved' you're getting a bargain!  Cheesy

Well, that was the story WoodCollector told everyone at the time anyway Tongue haha.

Only reason I am interested in this is because it goes down in crypto history along with Coinographic and Alitin, with the exception that these were never funded.

Plus I gotta admit, most of these are kinda cool, even if people did get lied to and screwed over whilst they were being "hand carved" Grin

It being in the UK makes shipping a hell of a lot cheaper too! Hoping I nab this one.
