If you are referring to Josh Little not playing in last game despite having taken 4 wickets in earlier game, it was because GT wanted to replace Saha with Wade, since 4 foreign players are allowed they needed to take measures and had to sit Josh Little out;  yes, they could have benched Noor Ahmad for Little as well but GT is infatuated with Afghan players, they they rarely sit 'em out.

Had Robin Minz was available, GT would be having dometic wk replacement for Saha but it wasn't the case.

Honestly, Sai Kishor is as good as Noor Ahmad if not better, adding Ahmad in XI was waste of foreign slot.

English players are leaving IPL to prepare for upcoming T20wc, some have already left, some will be leaving soon. IMO, Phil Salt is biggest blow to kkr out of all leaving for their respective teams, more so because KKR will be without him in important play-offs and in finals (if they reach there, ofc). You may expect me to say same about Jos Buttler in RR too but imo he was not consistent as Salt.

Flop show from DC, two players who largely DC depends on, i.e, JFMG and Stubbs got run-out, Stubbs one was completely unnecessary while JFMG was unlucky, though these days these kinda run-outs happen quite often that off-striker needs to be aware of it.

Second match is between DC and RCB, I love it when there is do or die match. Players give their best and there are lot of emotions involved. I am hoping for DC to win this one, Pant isn't there for this match in their last game against RR due to slow over rate punishment and Axar Patel will be captaining the team, dunno how I feel about this.

^ what happens usually with the young talents is that they fail when playing at international level, and more importantly when playing in semis/finals, it's important for selectors to go for players who are mentally tough, who can perform under pressure situations. If you were to directly put IPL success guys into wc scenario, they are likely to fail.

I'm not fan of Gaikwad tbh, but I like Sudarshan, he's a good and he'll soon be permanent addition into international squad imo.

157 was good target as match was shortened to 16 overs, so it's 200 run target in normal regard. It's good that KKR is not overly dependent on openers for their wins, and their middle order is capable. They are one of most competitive teams this season, glad they finally confirmed their entry into play-offs.

MI got good start, largely thanks to Ishan Kishan, Rohit played tuk-tuk for what? And what a fail from supposedly strong middle order.

After initial fall of wickets, I was hoping CSK will get thrased hard and GT would get huge NRR boost but the two baldies and at eof inning Dhoni made sure things remained secure enough.

Entertaining stuff from GT openers, this is what they have been missing all this season. Luck was also on GT's side today.

They kinda choked in last 5 overs though, couldn't get as many runs as they could have, Tewatia might have been better choice after Gill/Sai departure imo, 233 target is still chaseable, match hasn't completely slipped from CSK yet.

On irrelevant note, I used to watch English commentory but Hindi is much funnier.

I'm glad Gill came to his senses one more time and decided to sit Saha out (he had benched him before for one match and then brought him back again), Saha has always been a walking wicket, second change is that Tyagi is in, curious to see how he performs as well.

I really hope GT will try to take advantage of powerplay this time around , it's base that decides what score team will be able to make at eof inning.


I may be on minority on this one but I find their team good, I feel like they are lacking proper guidance.
