I said they were a bit lucky because of the slow over rate they had to bring the fielder up in the circle as they were penalized, and Macmillian utilized that opportunity to hit the winning 4 to the boundary.
MacMilllan didn't utilize anything, it was pure luck, ball took an edge and went for a boundary, it was not intentional shot that you could say he utilized the field.

When fine leg was brought up in the circle, commentator said, is it a good thing in this situation? Because with tailenders, fours usually go through fine leg or third man, yes they were penalized and were forced to bring one player inside but I'd say it was amateurish decision from Pakistan's side that they brought fine leg inside the circle.

You can say that too, it is just another way to put forward his intent to win.

I disagree and I repeat, It was accidental edge that's why it went for four at fine leg, how can you say he utilized the opportunity of Pakistan having no fielder at fine leg when MacMilllan had no intention to play there in first place? Without the edge, it was likely a dot ball or at most a single if it didn't went directly to fielder, certainly wouldn't have went for four as it appeared to be a soft handed hit.

You can watch highlights on Hotstar to fact check.

^ I also thought Australia would win comfortably but it was rather nailbiting finish. Regarding final, India looks better compared to Australians, India has been throughout consistent in this tourney and if we talk about history then India also has more trophies in u-19 wcs than Australia, so I'd bet on India to win this one.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 09, 2024, 05:33:34 AM
Holy shit! Australia wins and we will see men's wc final repeating. The ball was so deciding, it took an edge, could hit wickets and it was Pakistan's win, unfortunately for Pakistan it went for four.
It's really terrible and sad for because I was expecting paksitan team to win this important match as they have already shown quality cricket in his previous matches against strong opponent but one things is cleared no doubt they lose thier match but won hearts because they grab one of top side at such low target while chasing and they almost get them but unfortunately we can say due to bad delivery or bad luck they unable to divert things toward them. While if we have a look at scorecard Paksitani quality Pacers dismissed thier 9 player which is I think has been done for a first time in Australian this world cup  journey.
Anyway now things can be a big difficult for India as Australian has history to conquer final stage at every competition when ever they qualify, but history can be changed anytime as anything can be impossible. So my support will be for India.

I think other pacers weren't as good as Raza, Raza kept ball wicket to wicket and got few successes while other pacers bowled differently, also Australian tail-enders were surprisingly good at defending. Aussies know how to play underpressure, don't they? I mean it was last wicket and they tackled bowls good.

India has been playing real good in this tourney, unbeaten so far, let's see how they gonna tackle Aussies, or are we gonna see men's wc repeat where Aussies broke the unbeaten streak at Final.

3) Some updates on Mode network:

Mode network's official bridge only supports ethereum <—> Mode and it can be expensive due to gas fees, so you can use owlto bridge (https://owlto.finance/) if you wanna bridge to mode from other evm networks for cheap however note that doing this won't get you bridging points, but you will get tvl points and points for using dapps there. Also, you can use owlto to withdraw from mode without having to wait for 7 days.

Those who bridged to Mode before feb 4, 2 utc, will get extra 5k points due to points issues. (ann: https://discord.com/channels/1135946056874610708/1156940511672807424/1203726793463304233)

Safe way to earn more points while retaining your funds on Mode is to supply your funds on ionic (https://app.ionic.money).
It is better to bridge directly from mode than through Owlto, maybe if doing it from dex this will not be a criterion by their system so it is highly recommended from the mode platform directly.

Look at bold part, I mentioned that.

Quote
But until now the points have not been updated, even on Discord many have complained because the points have been reduced.
I have done bridging directly from mode then dapps kim.exchange, ionic and buy ens mode waiting for points to be updated.

That's true, for this buggy soft on their part, Mode network gonna give extra 5K points those bridged before feb 4, 2 utc — looking at how low points are given, I can take bit buggy system for extra points  Tongue

One more thing in my opinion no one has shared here about Puffer now chapter2 task by depositing stETH to puffer, you will get this too later there will be additional points, namely eigen points.

I staked on swell and then staked on eigen, puffer is comparatively new protocol and also swell has token confirmed, so I choose it over puffer.

@libert19 I think we should make a telegram group bro hahaha.

Today I working on

  • Moby Testnet
  • Berchain Testnet
  • PushLevel Discord on Xion
  • do trade on parcl on Solana

There are a bunch of retroactive outthere and most of the new project now creating point system, I hate it to do bridge swap and add liquidity that ending lose

Nah, there are plenty airdrop groups on telegram, while bitcointalk is kind of barren land for airdrop related stuff, so I think posting here is better.

Regarding, Parcl, you are better off adding liquidity than trading, lping is passive and gives more points.

Also, $STRK seems to be not so far away now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5468479.msg63631228#msg63631228

Tbh Pakistan deserves credit for taking this game so deep, it could've been one sided match due to the first inning score but they fought well.

Having said that, I noticed a few age frauds in the Pakistani camp. Ali Raja who was brilliant with the ball is in no way 15 yo kid, similarly, skipper/WK Saad Baig is not 17 yo.

I wouldn't know for sure, but they look according to age to me tbh (ok, I have doubts about Ali Raza being 15 yo, but under 19 I can pass that). But, you could be true and I wouldn't be surprised, age fabrication happens lot in developing nations.

Oops, not a smooth sail for Aussies as I expected. 8th wicket just fell, Aussies need 16 from 27, Pakistan in strong position right now.

Edit: Raza takes another one, and there goes 9th wicket. Aussies in huge trouble.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 08, 2024, 01:35:38 PM
Australia needs mere 102 runs to win from 30 overs, Pakistan can only win this game by taking wickets and Australia must not the lose the match that's already in their hand.

Today we have Australia vs Pakistan in semis, from the looks of it Australia looks a better team than Pakistan, If Aussies win here, this will give us India vs Australia in finale, could history repeat as men's wc where Aussies ruined the unbeaten streak of India in final? Let's see.

The thing is you know, the final is going to be played against India. The winner of this match is going to play against India in the finals. So everyone probably wants to see Australia lose this match because a lot of people want to see India versus Pakistan finale.

I don't think so, U-19 India vs Pakistan matches don't have that much hype as men's.

Wormhole has published tokenomics on his blog, according to which 17% of tokens (Ticker:W) will be allocated to the community - https://wormhole.com/wormhole-w-tokenomics. There they also said that the snapshot has already been completed, but they did not specify the exact date of the snapshot. This will be a large airdrop, given that the number of active wallets that have completed at least one transaction is only 90 thousand.

This is first time I have seen single lettered ticker  Grin

$PYTH announced retrospective airdrop for dapps using Pyth as their data oracle, ZeroLend is one of grantee and they have announced they will airdrop 80% of received amount back to community (i.e, users who have been farming points and holders of $EarlyZero which is earned for lending/borrowing on their platform).

^  Already staked my small bag of DYM with more coming once Binance gives the go signal for DYM withdrawals.  It's still 'suspended' the last time I looked a couple of hours ago.

Quote from: Binance's dym listing ann
Withdrawal will open at 2024-02-07 15:00 (UTC).

And a good place to stake DYM is at ValiDAO.  Their giving VDO rewards to the people who stake with them.  They're also setting themselves to be something in support of decentralized staking infra, hence the rewards.  Let's see how it goes.

I already staked portion of mine with another one and was planning to sell rest but figured, now I'm gonna stake'em all for potential airdrops (staked rest with Validao).

Anyway...  What do you guys think of Hyperlane?  Seems like some folks are saying it's the next big thing in interoperatibility after Layer Zero and Wormhole.

Idk what's it, they have bridge listed in their Twitter pinned, are we supposed to use that?

India vs SA U-19 wc (semi final - 1)

SA played slow most of their inning, under 4 RPO, but they caught well in last 10 overs garnering 81 runs and giving target of 245.

India faced early blows, was 32-4 with 11 overs passed, then there comes much needed 5th wicket partnership between Saharan — Dhas of 171 runs, pulling India back from ashes. Eventually, Dhas gets out first breaking partnership and missing century by mere 4 runs but by then he had done his work for the team, and Saharan gets run out at 81 when India needed 1 runs off 9 balls.

Tail enders finish the job of remaining 1 run and India goes into finals unbeaten and 5th time consecutively, and SA continues to be get out in semis Tongue

Since their regular players are busy with SA20, CSA sent a very inexperienced squad to New Zealand. Even the captain (Neil Brand) is making his debut in this match. A total of 6 players are making their test debut for South Africa in this match (apart from Brand, others are Clyde Fortuin, Edward Moore, Ruan de Swardt, Raynard van Tonder and Tshepo Moreki). No wonder that New Zealand was able to get to an imposing total of 511. Apart from Brand, the other bowlers were very ordinary. South Africa is inching towards an innings defeat.

Yep, CSA received critic from lots of players and seniors on sending this second string squad against a WTC champions and they are right tbh; giving priority to league cricket over international cricket, it's quite sad state of affairs but I can understand their standpoint, without their star players, there would be less people watching SA20, and at this point they want their league to be a success.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 05, 2024, 12:33:40 PM
JSRAW Shubman Gill has played a test spot saving innings and will not be dropped at least in next 3 matches of this series.
Yeah, you can't drop a batter after scoring a ton. Although he needs consistency, neither he nor the team India can't afford his 30-35 run knocks in the next 10 innings.

IMO, 30+ runs in each inning is rather consistent, add once in a while 50s and 100s and you are gold.

Quote
Another point of discussion would be whether you want 2 seamers or not, knowing that your 2 seamers Siraj and Mukesh hardly bowled in the last 2 matches so you could also strengthen your batting by adding a specialist batter or batting allrounder (Sundar), in that case, you could go with 1 seamer.

Bumrah as one seamer looks to be fine, Mukesh was rather expensive and batsman had no trouble with him, almost like there was no advantage of having him in the team, he got one wicket in two innings that too of the tail-end batter (i.e, of Bashir today). Remove the Mukesh's one wicket and Siraj had similar scenario in first match.

Stokes gone, it was sad to see him getting run-out though, with him goes the remnant chances for England to win this match.
