1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for $1 tron to complete a USDT trc 20 transaction, anybody? on: December 07, 2023, 07:57:03 AM
If you have something on arbitrum/optimism/polygon or any other cheap chain, use instant exchange like simpleswap/stealthex (they have cheap minimum amount (~$5) to transact) and make swap to tron.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 07, 2023, 06:12:58 AM
While the IPL news is all right, Cameron Green's price doesn't seem natural to me. Apart from the Australian all-rounder who did not get a place in the team in the series against India, he could not prove himself in the World Cup team. If we think about IPL apart from World Cup or intercontinental series then he could not perform significantly there. He was in the XI for Mumbai Indians in almost every match but despite being in the XI in every match he scored a century in probably only one match and the rest of the matches he did not do well at all. I don't understand the exact reason behind Royal Challengers Bangalore buying him for Rs 17.5 crore. Instead, Bangalore could have bought three better quality players with that amount of money, but Bengaluru overspent on one.
Well.. let's not mix 50-over cricket with the 20 over format. Cameron Green is a really good T20 player, but his 50 over records are not great. Don't forget the fact that he scored a total of 361 runs during IPL 2023, at a strike rate of 158.33. On top of that, he picked up 6 wickets as well. He is a quite useful allrounder and allrounders who are primarily batsmen and who bowls part-time pace are rare in the IPL. And before next year's IPL, he will be in action for Perth Scorchers in the BBL. His performance in BBL will give a good idea about the form he is in.
Cameron Green scored 350 plus runs in the last IPL ok but if his number of runs in one innings was more than 100 then he scored 250 plus runs in all the remaining matches. The main reason for bringing him into the team for so much money is to bat well as well as bowl some important times. He played an innings of 100 runs in the IPL last season, except for that innings, his batting house is not very good.  Considering the size of player he is and the amount of money he was taken to Mumbai Indians, he did not perform well. Mumbai Indians were not satisfied with his performance last season and released him this season. He has to perform very well in the upcoming IPL to retain his market value.

Plenty times before players changed their game for better after getting drafted to the different team, there is always chance something similar can happen here. Kohli-Du Plesis—Maxwell-Green sounds pretty lit to me.

Aside from Green, let's see if Hardik will perform to his purchase value or not.
1023  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: December 07, 2023, 04:45:22 AM
One can start trading with $100, risk $5 per trade with 5x-10x leverage, that's decent amount per trade and it doesn't require one to be wealthy.
1024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many scams have you caught? on: December 07, 2023, 04:42:23 AM
I don't remember them anymore but being scammed made me mature enough to identify them, somehow it becomes natural to you. You see a discord/telegram PM shilling you something, and you instantly know it's scam.

You see half-assed project website, you see project claiming to be next Bitcoin/Ethereum, you see project guaranteeing promised returns — you know it's scam.

You see defi project audited by certik, you know it's not worth your time  Tongue
1025  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we need to have a stop loss if we are 100% positive about a trade? on: December 07, 2023, 04:37:35 AM
Yea, I don't use stop loss on order if I have put order in market bloodbath (less chance to fall further) and I trust that particular coin. I have few orders without stop loss at this moment too.

Do not get me wrong, I have gotten my whole positions liquidated due to not using SL but I still prefer no SL, you do you.

1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: December 07, 2023, 04:25:35 AM
I'll answer broadly.

Unless there is harsh punishment for holding crypto (which should make most people afraid of governments, so they will stop with it altogether), otherwise people will just find means to trade it by other means, examples being, p2p exchanges, gift cards, local sellers, etc.

Some will continue as normally without converting to local currency to not come under governments prying eyes, using relevant measures (vpn, tor, etc), of course.

Some will migrate to crypto friendly country. Back when India's central bank RBI banned crypto, few migrated to Dubai to continue their crypto businesses.

1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 07, 2023, 04:19:46 AM
Yea, I do. So many coins seem so tempting to buy but where is liquidity? I actually seem more satiated in bear season, everything rising makes me so restless.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 07, 2023, 03:58:49 AM
Watched LLC first time ever, entertaining game. Gujarat Giants vs India Capitals, had Kevin or Gayle stayed on crease until last over, Gujarat could have won.

Many players seemed to play still good, especially batters, may be it's illusion due to boundaries being short and bowlers losing their  strength. In camera everything looks better than it is anyway.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: P2E game project coins on: December 07, 2023, 03:27:14 AM
if only these developers can develop a game as good as GTA V but we know that require a lot of resources, these P2E only shows us that developing game truly needs tremendous amount of money, as of now there is no P2E that can be recommended.

If p2e game devs can make something like GTA 5 it would be celebration day for crypto and p2e genre, such feat would bring millions of gamers in the world to the crypto.

But tbf, I don't see this happening anytime soon. It would be better if AAA games implement crypto elements into their game by themselves. For example, to buy cs:go skins with crypto would be nice or marketplace where people can trade their inventory items with others with payments in crypto.
1030  Local / India / Re: Oh digital rupee is already live!? on: December 07, 2023, 03:04:45 AM
Ok, so I got refund of those 10 rupee, and tried to load again still it didn't work with Paytm app but when paying with Google pay it worked (irrespective of bank you choose to pay with, I thought error was due to bank but it was not so, it's just some error between Paytm app <-> rupee app).

I do not think that Paytm, Google Pay, or Phonepe can use eRupee. They are the only interface for UPI transactions and have their wallets, which most of us do not use. Are you sure you were trying to load eRupee? I have the eRupee wallet which is directly connected to my bank account I can load the money easily..

Yea, they don't, I'm talking about making payment of fiat money through paytm/google pay to load into eRupee. It's just like you said, you load eRupee with your linked bank account, here I do same with Paytm/google pay.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cosmos projects airdrops speculation on: December 06, 2023, 02:43:04 PM
I don't think the Cosmos project is as interesting as Solana at the moment.
I see Solana is more in demand now.
Many airdrops are popping up on the Solana network.
but maybe next year the cosmos network will be in great demand, who knows.
Cosmos have gotten plenty airdrops, but their amount usually tends to be worth peanuts so ecosystem hasn't come under limelight as much as Ethereum and others.
If that's the case, it looks like they need to follow existing projects on ETH and other popular networks.
we have to observe what competitors are doing.
It's not like ethereum itself does airdrop, it's individual project's will. But yeah, they could strategize to bring more projects to their platform.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 06, 2023, 06:14:16 AM
I'd say so, yes. Loneliness makes you look for dopamine, you do things which keeps your occupied so you don't think about being lonely, and gambling keeps you occupied. The more money you gamble, more that feeling of rush.

If one's brain needs less of stimulation, he can be fine without going to extremes such as gambling or it's addiction but if not, they can reach to the point when these start to become coping mechanisms.

1034  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 06, 2023, 03:56:30 AM
One question I would like to ask is if mixer campaigns are banned from this bitcoin talk forum will mixers stop? Of course they will try to advertise in other places. If the mixer doesn't stop, it might be better to let the campaign go on this forum.

Definitely, mixers will go to some other place to advertise themselves, and the reason behind banning mixer is that bitcointalk or it's users does not get into trouble for promoting them.

I would prefer to allow them. I don't view using them as unethical, and I don't care about reputation. But this kind of thing is far from the core mission of bitcointalk.org, and the costs far outweigh the benefits.

It wouldn't be illegal to continue allowing mixers here. That's why we're able to offer a 1-month grace period. But allowing them has become too risky/problematic, and it's only going to get worse. Imagine 5% of all active forum users being sanctioned due to being paid directly by mixers, or all participants in a big signature campaign being targets of a search warrant, or our service providers suddenly banning us due to being "associated" with mixers, etc. I think that the crypto community is near the start of a multi-year squeezing campaign against mixers; similar to the cannabis industry in the US, or Operation Choke Point, or what happened with Backpage, or the deplatforming of Parler.
1035  Other / Off-topic / Re: Remember to press enter on: December 06, 2023, 03:37:02 AM
Is this really a problem? that depends on each user posting style, both of them are fine.

Not really a problem, but I skip those who write like first example. It's instant put-off.

The first one is wall of text, JayJuanGee used to post like this.

'Used to' is keyword here  Cheesy

I checked his profile, he writes pretty lengthy replies. If he were to write same as in first example, imo, it wouldn't look as good.

While the second one is usually written by most users. While philipma1957 is frequently use enter every each sentence.

philipma's are neat to read, but I prefer second.

@OP be sure you put the original source, someone can report your post lol https://www.dickens-online.info/bleak-house.html

Thank you, done. Different link cause that's where I copied text from.

No need to read, it's gibberish. Just have a look, which one looks better? Which one you feel like reading?

When you don't press enter:

Fog everywhere. Fog up the river, where it flows among green aits and meadows; fog down the river, where it rolls deified among the tiers of shipping and the waterside pollutions of a great (and dirty) city. Fog on the Essex marshes, fog on the Kentish heights. Fog creeping into the cabooses of collier-brigs; fog lying out on the yards and hovering in the rigging of great ships; fog drooping on the gunwales of barges and small boats. Fog in the eyes and throats of ancient Greenwich pensioners, wheezing by the firesides of their wards; fog in the stem and bowl of the afternoon pipe of the wrathful skipper, down in his close cabin; fog cruelly pinching the toes and fingers of his shivering little apprentice boy on deck. Chance people on the bridges peeping over the parapets into a nether sky of fog, with fog all round them, as if they were up in a balloon and hanging in the misty clouds.

So, what's your opinion on pressing enter?

1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a mistake shorting BTC at 17k on: December 06, 2023, 02:33:21 AM
Just before last bulls arrived in late 2020, I wanted to long BTC at 19k but at last moment changed my decision (even when I write this comment, it seems stupid decision, probably just hindsight) and shorted it, since that day btc went on to make $60k+, imagine my profits.

I regretted it, but what could be done?
1038  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Clipboard Virus! on: December 06, 2023, 02:19:29 AM
Since I come to realize that there is thing called clipboard virus which can change the address halfway I have started checking address in middle as well.

My revolution:

copy-paste address blindly >> check first letters >> check first and last letters >> current stage: check first-middle-end letters

I hope it doesn't come to stage where you have check whole address letter by letter  Tongue

1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layerzero Speculation airdrop on: December 06, 2023, 01:22:11 AM
Any update on Layer Zero's airdrop?  My wallet needs replenishing.  Lolol.  I made a couple of dumb moves making two stupid 'investments' in these memecoins called MSTR and WEB.  Whatever you guys do, stay away from these memecoins that create a narrative based on a bigger memecoin.  Like for MSTR, it's trying to appeal to the memecoin $BITCOIN aka Saylor meta.  While WEB is trying to appeal to GROK aka Elon meta.  But the market seems to be not buying into it and it's staying with the leaders.  :/  Now I'm waiting for these two little sh*ts to pump so I could get out at break even...  If I'm lucky.  Cheesy Cheesy

Grok itself is still cheap, why go for replica? Regarding Layerzero, I hope there is something about it by end of this month. I mean, this is perfect time to launch.

If LayerZero don't, I'm hoping something else would appear and end this year on a good note  Cheesy

In my place there is a saying that there is no value for something that is acquired without any effort.

This is something I have experienced myself. Very true statement.

For Indian BBL fans, Hotstar will be streaming it this time! SA vs India matches also on Hotstar!
