Bowlers leaked more runs they are supposed to but its due to wrong bowling plan in my opinion and it concludes that they still need expereince to be in the WC squad.

Samson should have proved why he need to have a spot but he fails again and again which means he will not be in the consideration for WC squad unless he achieve some extraordinary performances in IPL. That leaves JL and Jitesh being the WK slot for now.

Top order is where more competition for now, and the way things are going I don't see Gill in the opening spot.

AFG had lot of positives from this series and I would say they did beyond their potential in yesteday's match by scoring over 200 runs with not heavy batting order.
Competition for the squad is becoming tough for every spot and Rohit-Kohli's comeback in t-20 after the last WC will break many dreams if selectors go with these 2, which seems very likely.

They might go with Jitesh and Kishan as WK batters, hope they look at Dhruv Jurel as well. Btw who is JL?

Likely a typo, and he meant KL Rahul there. I don't think Ishan Kishan is going to make it, imo it will be Jitesh and KL, and Jitesh as backup. Also will a thing to see how KL will do in middle order batting position in IPL.

Dhruv Jurel has so far did nothing in IPL matches he played, I don't see any chance for him, and don't think they gonna take him in WC squad even if he performs good in upcoming ipl or test against England, provided he gets to play there in first place.

WC will be held in West Indies and USA, even if players do well in IPL on our relatively battling friendly pitches, I don't think IPL performances would be given much due for selection, there tend to be huge difference in player's performances when conditions change so I feel selectors will rather be going for experienced players who have record of doing good all over the world than to one continent.

I am aware of selectors statement that they will look at IPL performances but that will likely for players who are already on their mind, not for new ones as they will also have to groom them before putting them into high-tier tourney such as WC.

Indeed, they are rising up in the competition, their bowling tho, I feel it sucks. Definitely should make it super 8 in t20wc — Gurbaz, Nabi, Gulbadin, Rashid Khan such clean hitters they have got, how can they not? Also, WI and SL aren't doing well lately, this might also give them some edge.

Another point regarding IPL. I've said this many times, The IPL franchises will line up and start a bidding war for any player, given they are performing against India or better thrashing them in a contest.

Mind explaining reasoning behind the statement? Indian franchises paying more to players who thrash India?

Test matches are very long so there is not much fun in watching them and there is no fun in such matches

Watch highlights  Cheesy

It's one man show from Rajat Patidar in India vs England Lions (unofficial test) making 151(158) when everyone else failed. He's good player, even his 22(16) done in odi against SA were good to watch, definitely deserves more chances, let's see how he does in IPL this year.

Sanju is good player, but mostly he plays bad in important games just because of this I feel he is the best social media player instead of team player but still this was good win for the India in match and series Afghanistan miss their few top bowlers which were not able to play in this match, but they are also doing good in this format and have good future ahead of them.

India's fall of early wickets were opportunity for Sanju to prove himself, but he failed to capitalize on that, to go for a pullshot on first ball didn't seem wise decision, just before him Virat got out on same shot, in Virat's favor he already has his place confirmed in all squads, and it was probably a series having no significance for him whereas Sanju had to prove himself here.

Yesterday was the last match of India vs Afghanistan and in yesterday's match, Virat Kohli again beat Sachin Tendulkar's record. First, he broke the most centuries in the ODI and after this, he breaks a record which is the most unbeatable record and the record Virat Kohli got the most ducks than Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli got 35 ducks while Sachin Tendulkar had 34 ducks, this is a new unique record that has been broken. Anyway, Virat Kohli is a very good batsman but this is true that he wants to break all the records of Sachin Tendulkar.

Lol, this is funny.

The way Layerzero is massively farmed, I feel they will invent some new method to filter out sybils, and we we'll only know that when they publish the criteria, or if they go with something generic farmers gonna receive peanuts. I drift towards former more tho.

Also I feel, Layerzero is farming the farmers.
I did not know about Sybils, what is this exactly?

And how Sybils filter can affect airdrop farmers?

Airdrop farmers and Sybils mean same thing.

One thing about all these airdrops is that some of them requires more time to hold on them in other to make value but while holding them, anything can happen..

How do you mean? First you say, airdrops require some time to hold so it may gain value while on other hand you say anything can happen, if it didn't have much value in first place, what's worst that can happen?

And if it has already some value, which is always the case these days, you can sell portion the moment you receive airdrop, take profit, and let rest ride, there is nothing wrong if you sell all either as it's all free money anyway, unless you are at loss with your farming activities.

However, the bowlers of the Afghan team if, could have resisted either of the two batsmen of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh. Then Afghanistan could have won the match in this last match.

Match went into two super overs, it had nothing to do with Rohit and Rinku by then, India gave mere 12 run target in second super over, it should have been doable chase for AFG but they couldn't do it.

Why was Gulbadin not sent to bat in second super over? Did Bishnoi bowled that good? Looks so, but I also feel AFG choked there.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 18, 2024, 09:07:24 AM
Today's match was like a tiger-tiger fight. I don't know if anyone predicted that Afghanistan would perform so well, but I couldn't have predicted it. In the last 2 matches, Afghanistan could not play like this against India and looking at the previous matches, today's match could not be imagined. I saw such a match after a long time, there was a lot of excitement throughout the match. It seems that I have enjoyed non-stop gaming in front of the television for long periods of time.
I was a supporter of Afghanistan team in this match.Afghanistan team did not win this match which made me feel bad. Both team players played very well in the first innings. But Afghanistan team batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 50 runs in 32 balls.Ibrahim Zadran scored 50 runs in 41 balls.  .Gulbadin Naib scored 55 runs from 23 balls. I liked Afghanistan team's performance but India team's batting and bowling was very good.

Even tho I'm Indian, was hoping deep down for Afghanistan to win. Rashid Khan was already one of my favorite from AFG team and Gulbadin also made to the list with yesterday's inning, I wonder why didn't he come to bat in second super over?

BTW, if anyone missed Rohit saying this to umpire, "Thighpad pe diya pehla ball kya? Itna bada bat laga hai bhai, ek to idhar do zero hogya hai"

English translation: Did you just give legbyes for that ? C'mon it was obvious knick to the bat, I'm having two zeroes and you do this (referring to his two ducks in prior two matches): https://twitter.com/JioCinema/status/1747647353388216398

Feel tree to make proper translation.

No one would want tell you all of that directly. People don’t want to look like they are a loser of even admit that they’ve made such a mistake before. Even when they make profit, many people just want to hide the truth.
I think it's better to hide one's financials anyway, it's good for one's own security.
I’m not sure if we should just end it by saying it’s better to hide it. I understand security concerns but telling someone your losses can serve as a lesson to them, saving them money they would have lost if they had plans to walk the path you did. Telling people about your wins too would help boost people’s confidence that they can do it too. It must be exact details like calling out actual amount you got or lost, but people don’t even want to admit to losing or winning. They just pretend nothing is going on.

They may not mean to hide it, they may have simply not felt comfortable enough to share it.

I tell my friends lessons I have learned from my mistakes and what I feel should be right for them to do in situation (if they ask in first place), but not necessarily amounts involved, I feel there is no need to, it creates barrier between two parties as they might not be on same page which rarely is the case even in one's own family, sharing in such incompatibility breeds negative emotions, such as jealousy.

its price have rebounded with remarkable price and even indicates that its growth may keep continue for whole year
I expect dump due to huge unlock that's coming in March [1], and more unlocks every 4 weeks after that. We are in bullish market and these unlocks have bearish impact,
i also heard about unlocking their supply although I'm unsure about the percentage and how many arb is going to unlock after every 4 weeks.

You can check defillama page linked in comment you quoted, it stats all.

Quote
I think arb team keep doing such pump so that they can reach more and more people now. And trying to let them know that they are potential altcoin so that they could have more investment during their unlocking period and thus unlocking Supply will effect less on arbitrum value cause then many new investor will buy which could prevent the price from dumping more. I think that's the point and BTC halving could be an issue that will effect arb price too but afterward it will fly again. Although i still believe it won't dump that much due to its higher demand & potentiality

That may be true, I heard on Twitter that Arbitrum investors may pump $ARB before unlock, so it can sustain the selling pressure and they get good prices to offload, the recent pump was due to hype regarding ARB reaching ATH TVL, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was manipulation involved in reaching this milestone too.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to farm airdrops on crypto? on: January 18, 2024, 07:47:48 AM
Most of the "decent" airdrops require you to do X thing in order to be eligible for their airdrops and nowadays you need to spend some to actually interact with their platforms. Some of the free one is already dead and most of them are just a scam for free promotion so it's just not really a wise thing to do anymore.

That is because any free-to-do tasks are doable by everyone and gets saturated really fast, and then there are airdrop farmers who further dilute the reward pool with multi-accounting, taking more than their fair share.

I'm not saying there are no farmers involved where there are real dollar interactions counted, it's just that requiring real money excludes free farmers, and obviously there are more free farmers than paid because free farmers have only to make effort, and if you have lots of free time there is nothing to lose from your side.

So it's good idea from project's perspective to reward only users who used real money, it doesn't solve farmer's problem completely but solves to some extent.

May be now Airdrop definition is changes, whatever i think now there are no Airdrop will be free, of course you have to spend some money as like 10$-20$ in their platform as like some transaction in their mainnet it's required mostly new platform then you can be eligible that's is okay but it’s unacceptable to stake big amount and personally i am ignoring such projects Airdrops.
Well there are really some for free. What is $10 to $20 dollar fee for transaction in exchange for a bigger reward? I think you are aiming for literally full airdrop but spending on gas fee for claiming or what is such responsibility of the users. You already given a free tokens called airdrop you wont expect the project to give it all even the process or cost to received it.

I think 'potentially' word should be there in bolded statement, i.e $10 to $20 fee for exchange for a potentially a bigger reward.

Requirements to be eligible for airdrop are getting complex, projects will rarely reward you for mere couple interactions or for interactions with low amounts, retrodrop's are all luck, you spend for interactions on 10 projects then may be one of them will reward you. If you don't have extra money lying around, it's better to stick with free projects, and try to get starting funds from there.

Or to stick with projects having probability of retrodrop, but your funds stay safe, for example, staking protocols. $JITO is prime example of this and other is EigenLayer but to stake there gas fees were expensive since it's on Ethereum. Though, Eigenlayer stakers gonna recoup easily, because other projects are accounting Eigenlayer stakers for their airdrop's criteria.

I also see that the Cosmos network is now widely rumored to be getting an airdrop because of the many new projects joining and becoming a trend such as INJ and ATOM.
Hopefully there will be an airdrop for this chain.

There have been plenty already on Cosmos.

Holy heaven! India 21-4, Kohli and Sanju both gone on first ball they played and on similar shot too. Rohit and Rinku on crease, and only Washington Sundar to come next who can bat. Again, India in situation where 6th wicket goes and pure bowlers start coming in, something India needs to sort out. A pure batter on Sundar's spot and all-rounder after that will help things a lot.

Holy heaven again and this time it's for marvellous recovery India did, from 22-4 to 212-4, never seen before! (I was awed at what Scorchers did the other day but this was much much better).

Afghanistan seemed really motivated in start after getting quick early wickets however Rohit-Rinku did them dirty just like Afghanistan's match against Aussies in ODIWC where Maxwell-Cummins destroyed their hopes and dreams for semis.

Rinku has been supremely consistent in T20, no way he's going to be left out from T20WC squad.

Rohit hitting boundaries effortlessly at end of innings was spectacle, it was like I was watching highlights.

Holy heaven, third time! Those who watched the game know why I say it.

Shubman Gill again didn't play this match because as you know in the first match, what Rohit Sharma did with him, and after that Rohit Sharma didn't give him a chance to play..

Lol, I completely forgot first match run-out between these two, Rohit was angry right there on Gill, wouldn't be surprised if he actually kicked Gill out due to it.

Quote
Rohit Sharma will retire max to max after 1 or 2 years and Virat Kohli but it is the new talent of India and if they wasted them like this so their team will never stay more.

Virat is not a new talent, Virat and Rohit both are around same age (35 and 36 years respectively) and also started their international careers around same time (2008 and 2007 respectively). Virat is better in fitness compared to Rohit, so he might play longer, that's all there is.

They should have got a good pace bowler like Arshdeep rather having two amature.

Definitely Arshdeep is better than Avesh but Mukesh is alright, imo. Anyhow, this is lost game for Afghanistan, if score was 160ish, potato bowling could have been of worry but here it's not the case.

Here's something about Monad that has been going around...  Monad and Pyth Network announced a partnership around fall last year.  And it's looking like staking Pyth could grant eligibility for Monad's airdrop.  Now we can't really be sure if it's really the case but it couldn't hurt to stake a small amount of PYTH.

Thank you, I'm already staking portion of $PYTH received from airdrop.

There is going to be airdrop from Altlayer to participants of their campaigns, $TIA stakers and Eigenlayer restakers, ann here.

India vs Afghanistan: India won the toss and will be batting first. Sanju Samson finally got chance in playing 11, there was huge roar in stadium when Rohit mentioned his name, let's see how he performs, since he's in other wk Jitesh Sharma is out. Other two changes are, Avesh Khan and Kuldeep are in while Arshdeep and Axar are out.
