1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How are your exchange tokens performing at the moment? on: December 04, 2023, 01:38:42 AM
I have some UNI, sold most of stake and few are just lying around since I received their airdrop 3 years ago I think.
Unfortunately I'm not one of those lucky participants. I don't know if where were I that time, but I think I was also active on doing airdops in the forum and on airdrop sites outside. Oh well, maybe me and UNI aren't just meant to be for each other. Cry

Uni was first that started retrospective airdrop trend, there was no way you could know beforehand that there was going to be an airdrop. You only needed to be lucky to get it.

Regarding CEX exchanges, I think I only held KCS many moons ago I dunno how I got it, but I sold it.
Maybe you have used KuCoin exchange before but you only forgot it? And maybe they have an airdrop event before where users can get some KCS token. I never saw KCS got trendy and it might even decline during the bear market. So your decision of selling it quickly might be a good idea.

Yea, I certainly used to use Kucoin exchange, but I don't remember how I got those KCS tokens, could care less now.

It's a dead rubber so doesn't matter if India wins or not but for Iyer it's an important match or may add Chahar into the same mix.
No ser, he gone back home for medical emergency.
Lol when did that happen? The dude was on the roster before the toss.
I only tuned in during toss, Surya said he went home, you can check playing 11.

No ser, he gone back home for medical emergency.

Just now Surya gone and India 46-3, I wanted to see Rinku and Jitesh's batting so I'm quite ok with this quick fall of wickets Tongue

Should have given Shivam Dubey chance to play today.
Oh no Rinku Singh out at 6.
I thought Rinku Singh would play a good innings in today's match but unfortunately he got out for just a personal six. But Jitesh Sharma and Shreyas Iyer have managed to form a good partnership. If the next overs can be dealt with properly then the team runs can be 160 plus.

Again Jitesh Sharma 24 runs off 16 ball , unfortunately He out.

Yea ser, not the batting I expected today. All hopes on Shreyas now, if he stays on crease India can make 150 otherwise that will be too tough.

BTW, does anyone else like Nathan Ellis bowling action?

Well said. Almost all Indian batsmen are performing really well, but very bowlers like Axar etc are performing well which is their major weak point. On the other hand, Australia's batting and bowling departments are struggling.

India has a better chance at winning the ICC WC 2024 when compared to Australia if you ask me.

C'mon again, this is average Australian team with most of their key players being out. Judge Aussies from their wc performance, not from such series.

1066  Other / Meta / Re: Has Bitcointalk lost it's appeal for projects to announce themselves on? on: December 03, 2023, 12:01:59 PM
I think loads of projects these days are now moving over to the current version of marketing. ANN Threads in here can be said to serve as a marketing mediums but the impact is no longer felt. The impact of having ANN Threads in here does not help with fund raising nor awareness anymore, hence, the decline.

Another factor is that bitcointalk is not actively involved in the new niches and advertisements that happens on twitter, I can say load of people have no idea about bitcointalk as a platform.

Bounty has also reduced or considered non-effective/efficient to the new projects.

All these contributed to the decline of ANN Thread in the forum.
I honestly don't think many altcoin projects from 2017 til now have really made much from announcing their project/token/ICO here. The bounty hunters do the work, but not efficiently. Hundreds of accounts with bots as followers that get few to no likes or comments, meaning they're reaching noone. Just a waste of money really even if it is just a token. If the project plans on listing or already is listed, the value is still there.

The value is in the people advertising the project, if they use only cheap methods to cheat a project then word of mouth gets around and shows other project to not waste their time. If you want projects to keep coming here, you need to show them you are valuable.

You have said truth. I was part of campaign called Jarvis (JRT), they rewarded well to the hunters but in telegram channel they remarked that their bounty on bitcointalk was such a waste.

They probably think there's not enough positives for launching their projects here because of the scrutiny that others have mentioned and the potential negative trust feedback if they get exposed. They cannot control the narrative here even if they open a self-moderated ANN. It's better for them if they could simply block users without immediate repercussions on other platforms like X.

I don't think scrutiny is reason, I'm more drifting towards what Yahoo said above.
1067  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Chai ke sath Biscuit ya roti? on: December 03, 2023, 07:09:03 AM
Prefer biscuit too, but sometimes you want to change things up so then I go with toast or just different biscuit variety. Shree Shree biscuits were favorites for a while then got fed up  Roll Eyes

Roti if available but for personal reasons I can't so ^
1068  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Animal movie anyone? on: December 03, 2023, 07:03:44 AM
The movie has got released and I am going to watch it.

I watched it, it has become one of my all time favorites.

How did it go for you?

I watched it, definitely a great M0Vie. Rashmika looked very hot, thanks for choosing Rashmika.

Lol, sure thing bro!

Edit: my response was meant for comment prior to edit, now it looks like I choose the cast. Lol.
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Manifesto on airdrops trivialization on: December 03, 2023, 05:13:34 AM
As people started farming airdrops, it was expected that eligibility requirements will get stricter.

the airdrops become more and more difficult, demanding thousands of crypto transacted, in a lot of transactions during many months.

It goes both ways. In start it was one way to identify and reward genuine wallets (Rather than Paraswap I would say Optimism and Arbitrum). But, eventually, farmers figured this supposed requirement and now they try to farm accordingly, so projects went even further and started excluding wallets which are newly created and have such repeated ingenuine transactions in their wallets. So farmers again went a little further, and they started purchasing old wallets (we have seen few threads like that on this forum). This is never ending game.

Quote
Currently there are thousands of influencers announcing airdrops even from projects that did not comment, projects announcing airdrops before have a product and a lot of noise.

Some projects themselves have started using airdrop word as bait while most of airdrop speculation happens on X for engagement farming. Airdrops are hot and it works.

Quote
projects that "gamefi" airdrops with tasks and points, terrible.

Don't bother with those, I have not seen a single project rewarding significant amount those who do that kind of stuff.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 03, 2023, 04:41:13 AM
I'd say right time is now, potential for going up is huge compared to otherwise, it's hard to predict correct entry/exit point, so don't keep hopes up that you will be able to get right entry.

I have already made my picks. If you keep waiting, market may go fly high and you will keep on hanging.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zugacoin vs bitcoin. on: December 03, 2023, 04:29:01 AM
I have never heard of Zugacoin but Similar case happened to me with YFI [1] token couple years ago, it's ath price is 90K USD which even BTC hasn't reached yet  Tongue

I have some UNI, sold most of stake and few are just lying around since I received their airdrop 3 years ago I think. It has never dipped below ~$3 since I received airdrop and started holding no matter how much bloodbath was there in the market.  Tongue  (if you check CG, it'll show you $1 it was just when it was launched).

Other was Pika protocol's Pika token, they withdrew the token and investors were returned funds.

Last one was ZigZag, it is  ZkSync dex, I got airdrop and sold it, it's been to ashes lately.

Regarding CEX exchanges, I think I only held KCS many moons ago I dunno how I got it, but I sold it.
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zora Airdrop Speculation on: December 03, 2023, 03:23:23 AM
Mirror post are note beneficial in getting airdrops.. OP you can check all previous airdrop criteria of a big project such as Aptos, Arbitrum, Optimism and many other.. You will not see mirror post anywhere..

Oh I didn't mean to mint mirror post, it was linked there to read Zora's latest update, that you can interact with their platform without having ETH, and I speculated that since you don't need any funds, you may want to interact with platform as its free and may make you eligible for airdrop.

Quote
I have used Zora chain and minted some NFT.. I read one article where Zora mentioned their token to be launch in the future.. I hope that Zora will give airdrop same like optimism and Arbitrum.. It is better to interect earlier because most of big project giving airdrops for just using their chain.

You may also want run their node if you want (check prior comment) — if decentralization is on cards, governance should also be on cards.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Starknet Airdrop Speculation on: December 03, 2023, 03:14:20 AM
The leaked infographic paper gave us an idea how the token will be allocated for the community. It can be profitable for those who will be able to get a position in few criteria. Their technology is good and there is a lot of hype about this airdrop but i don't think it will be anything like ARB and OP like profits. Those two were something unique and many people earned a lot of money. But since then peoples have been speculating for potential airdrop and the number of airdrop farmers has increased significantly so they are not sure if the airdrop will still be profitable or not.

I think Starknet took care of farmers very well, you can see snapshot was taken much early.

First two is dev commit criteria, I think only genuine ones will only qualify here. I know some people started farming GH too after Celestia rewarded GH devs, but they have marginalized it so only legit ones will be eligible.

3rd and 4th is also more or less same, possibly people were buying old addresses to satisfy such criteria Grin

Only farmable criteria is 5th one, and for that you should have used StarkEx before June 1st 2022. You see snapshot has been taken so early, this should exclude most of farmers.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Xrp still worth to break its previous 3.4$ ATH? on: December 03, 2023, 03:06:34 AM
I think so, yes. When Bitcoin booms, everything rises, doesn't matter how good a coin itself is, imo XRP still better than lot of shitcoins we see in the market.

In another thread in this sub, someone asked can solana break $40 and look where we are now.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 03, 2023, 02:59:32 AM
Tomorrow is another match of India vs Australia but it doesn't matter that which team needs to win because the result has come and India wins the series.
This is a very happy moment for the Indian team and people because they took the revenge of the final by winning a series.

C'mon bro, Aussies could care less about this series, they perform well where they need to. Revenges are taken on equal, you don't take revenge of wc loss with useless series win.
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 02, 2023, 01:45:14 PM
In previous match it was Maxwell who made them win the game and allowed Aussies to stay in the series, in this game he and all other key players left, and with remaining average squad they lost.

But Aussies have a lot to take away from the series than India and I still don't understand why India is not trying options in their bowling and so stubborn to go with only 5 bowlers which will not work and it is one of the reason why AUS outperformed India in the final.

Sure they should try new bowlers here but regarding WC, I say India only lost due to not having enough runs on the board. Wc trio was good as it could be.

1079  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 02, 2023, 01:37:21 PM
I have only read comments which have been merited, so pardon if someone has already asked this question, what about participating in price prediction contests that gets hosted by mixers in games and rounds?

Allowance to create such threads won't be available in first place I think, but I still seek clarification.

This question is similar what cyagan asked [1].

Personally I dislike the idea and this statement from PrivacyG sums it up pretty well.

"If theymos censors Mixers, this is ONLY the beginning of further Censorship."

My heart skipped a beat back when there was April fool prank (thankfully!) saying bitcointalk will start requiring kyc. I hope forum doesn't come to that point.
