61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: March 26, 2017, 06:17:02 PM
Hey guys!

Been watching NAV for a few months now and I must say I'm impressed about how things are going. I heard somewhere that the team is going to implement a masternode system. Is that true? Thanks!

Devs are working on changes to the navtech servers but they are not exactly masternodes. But the basic idea of setting aside some NAV to be used for making anon transfer and receive a reward beyond stake is there.

Right now there is a fee for sending anon and server owner gets the fee. you can set up your own server.

Future improvements will be a way to allow your server work with my server and share fees and a different way for server owners to be rewarded and allow reduced or 0 fees. Note this is still future planning and eventual end may be different

NAV COIN
5% PoS per year.
Great anon technology called "NAVTech" double encryption of wallets.
Super fast transactions (30 secs, 2 mins for anon)
1st PoS coin to update to Core 10.3
Android wallet.
Great projects in the pipeline. Polymorph will allow any coin to be anon thanks to partnership with Changelly
Anon Dapps.

Very attractive marketcap and entry price.

Ok Nav Price Crash not Nav wallet.

It did not crash It's still above where is was before beta release. It did peak and come back down some.

I expect it to move up a lot more after the 3/31 release of wallet (not beta) and other stuff.

Why NAV crashing after update ?

What does the error message say? there is a button for debug log on screen from help menu
I talking about this

I considered pulling my wallets out of storage and see if they update with the new software.
(how are the other coins? GPL, Darsek?)

GPL and KED have active nodes. don't do much with GPL but often have KED staking

I can bring my wallet back up. I also can point so GPU at it for solo mining. I stopped when I had no connections anymore

What is the point of this kind of comment except to qualify you as a troll? Glad you were able to cash out your 2BTC worth of whatever(it was even that much).

I bet that when NAV reaches its true value and bumps those shit anon coins off the pedestal that my yearly stake worth will exceed your annual income.

...fking kiddie trolls, go play in the road.

You are troll's Bestest Friend...
Quoting them and giving this Idiot the attention he can't get any other way.

Because of people like you... it's impossible to put trolls on ignore.

I'm actually shocked at how NAV has tanked...
Like I said here at 4500 sat... if you have the most dysfunctional wallet in crypto, no one can trust your anon tech.

Rule #1 in crypto... your wallet must be a pleasure to use.

Can't disagree with you about need for wallet improvements. That is the dev current project see https://github.com/navcoindev/navcoin-core

sync issues fixed new UI in development all around improvements. most other project are reduced priority to get this done. Can't have new users unable to get the wallet working.

Hello, i am very new to cryptocurrencies trading , i started the trade on Poloneix platform . i had 3 bitcoins changed them to Zcash which left me with big losses as the price of the zcach fall dramatically. then i switched to trade Navcoin , again this coin lost its value next day as i bought it .Now i have 30000 NAV coins . i cant even sell them . i am not sure that this coin can revitalize or even regain its value . How can assure me that i am not right and there is a chance for this coin to be worthy . please advise . many thanks in advance

Why you say you can't sell 30k NAV?

If you need assurance look here: http://forum.navcoin.org/

Put your coins to Stake and chill out man! Have u seen the price of BTC?

I dont have that much. In fact, I dont hold any nav lads. I would love to, but I dont have any btc left. Sold everything, and dumped the remnants yesterday night. If u earn a living from staking nav I pity u, and will perhaps make a donation to ur dad, he will use that money to slightly repair walls in a punk garage where u live.

Um It's more like a a savings account that actually pays interest. and value can increase much more that that over time.

you don't live off your savings. I NAV dropped to 1 sat I would be very disappointed but it would not change my life. If it went up to LTC levels My retirement will be a lot more pleasant.

FYI NAV is now called just Navcoin. Dropped the reference to the Navajo code talkers.

Thanks it's been updated on our servers, at the moment the Android app doesn't check for name changes, so it won't change unless the coin is completely removed and added again.

Thanks at least new users will get the correct name.  I can update if I really want to.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: February 21, 2017, 06:45:08 AM
another alternative is a web wallet https://poswallet.com/ will work with NAV and it stakes.

or you could try the full node and d/l the blockchain. I don't know if that helps at all on thin client.

or if you're used to git d/l navcoin2 from github and follow the  navcoin2/doc/build-osx.txt
instructions.

Does anyone know the difference between the Thin Wallet Installer and Portable and the Full Node download dmg for a mac.
I just want a simple wallet to keep my Nav coins on.

Well I don't have a Mac(well an old powerPC macbook) but by the names this is what the main differences are:

Thin you can store NAV here recieve and send it but you cannot stake(earn extra nav) since the complete blockchain is not stored it takes less hard drive space and so is 'thin'

Portable is designed so all files can be stored on Thumb drive and can be run on any mac you plug the drive on. the regular this client writes data into the users space

Full Node has the entire block chain as part of the install and keeps sync thin new blocks as they are confirmed. You can also stake you NAV which actually finds and creates new blocks (a lot like mining) How often you actually find a block depends on your Nav balance (and luck)

The full node also has a console where you can get more detailed info like which other wallets are you connected to, what the current block is and many other things most people don't need or care about.

Slack has #channels with different topics. Telegram is more general chat over any Nav related subject

Hi everyone..
what is the max number supply of NAV until the last block PoS?
On Github only 60M max money, but today was 60,630,754 NAV

thanks

There won't be a ''Last block POS" the idea is to continue inflation up to 5% per year. This is if all the wallets ''Stake''
At the moment over 40% of the wallets are open to stake.
Here you can check the data.

80  Economy / Economics / Re: why is it so hard to buy bitcoin on: February 01, 2017, 02:33:42 AM
Buying bitcoin is not hard because you can do that easily without going to a store or submitting any legal papers. You just need your money and you just need to make online account on exchnager's site where you can buy bitcoin easily but don't forget to make a deposit first before you place order because buying bitcoin without deposit on a site is just a joke Roll Eyes.
that's bullshit. most of exchangers require you to submit legal paper to avoid fradulent transaction i say majority of them because the exchangers dont want to lose any money because of this problem and your post saying that "you just need your money and you just need to make online account on exchanger" obviously reflect that you don't know what you're talking about
Indeed and most exchangers do really require this kind of documentation because its part of their ToS. The thing comes to my mind on buying bitcoin without any exchanger involve would be peer 2 peer transactions on which you could buy bitcoin directly from other people without the need of exchangers but expect they would surely put interest on each exchange.

P2P exchange is already here bitsquare.io
