nvida needs the CUDA miner. But I don't have a nvida card so not sure how to use it.

For OFF

minerd64_sse4.exe -a quark -t 5 -o http://127.0.0.1:1928 --userpass=myid:mypass
P2P pool
minerd64_sse4.exe -a quark -t 6 -o http://off.mine-pool.net:9372 --userpass=QYhyyzKBMPZcs1K9nJKQtX8Do48PhnM5Xz:AnyPassword

note -t N is Number of cores to use

how to solo mine darsek with the new wallet...setgenerate true shows (method not found (code-32601))?

make a Darsek.conf file open notepad
Code:
listen=1
gen=0
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=myid
rpcpassword=mypass
rpcport=8444
server=1
daemon=1
then save as
%appdata% {enter} then select the darsek folder [in the topbar]
darsek.conf

I use BFGminer for GPU mining

I launch a Bat file looks like this
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
bfgminer.exe -S opencl:auto -o http://127.0.0.1:8444 -u myid -p mypass  --scrypt -I 13

that should get you started. there is tuning you can do for your exact GPU

If I bypass the fuse with some 12ga wire I get fan spinning but no LED lights at all

How well do these work for blakecoin. I seem to have killed my CM1. Back of PCB contacted PSU metal fan guard and shorted out.

This forum has one of the most lenient spam/troll/idiot tolerance levels I've ever seen.

Mah87, for example, appears to have around 400 posts of nothing more than "BTC crashing buy Ripple!!!"
We also have a nice ignore button so all I get from Mah87 is this user is ignored.

Will this coin be ASIC-mineable?

maybe one day but not any time soon, when it does the asic's for Blake-256 will use less silicon space, will be faster, cheaper per chip and use less power than current SHA-256D asic's at the same manufacturing process  Cool
Awesome!
Im glad to finally have found a coin with a distribution model like this. It should prevent the early adopters from controlling the major quantities, and also keep it interesting to mine for the regular people. Good stuff!

Just a comment for people new to blakecoin.. This does not mean your bitcoin ASIC can be used to mine Blakecoin. But that is possible to make an new ASIC than can mine Blakecoin and as BD said the resulting ASIC should be Faster Cheaper and use less power.

Did you have to unblock an existing rule or add a new rule?
or just a reboot after other changes?

I'm sure their should be enough interest from bidders if I were to order some items to auction for SciFi crypto's ?

$10 to $20 items are around the right price range in terms of an exchange rate.   Cool

I like the Idea. We had an auction for a ST Tech manual on the scificointalk forum that went fairly well.

I can donate some S(eye) F(eye) stickers as well.

Using the address version on can also use vanitygen with the -X<address version> to try and generate custom addresses. I have written this subject before, so I am not going to rehash it here.

Been a while since I've played with it. Time for a custom Spice address.
Humm
VANITYGEN64 -X50 MYvanity

Lets see if we can figure this out.

click on start button and enter firewall in search area

select Windows Firewall with Advanced Security

You may have to move the sliderbar down in the center to find and click on Outpound rule Inbound Rules (Above Red Arrow oopps  Embarrassed)

you can see the list of exceptions in the center.
if fireflycoin is there with a red 'don't' icon click on it then click on properties on right and change Action to allow connection.

If it is not there then on top right is click on new rule

We want program so just click next
fill in path to qt file

click on next

We want Allow the connection so click on next

UnCheck Domain and Public and click Next

Fill in as you want. then click Finish

So now see if it works {Boy I hope so Tongue} launch the fireflycoin client.

Good luck

When you get connected I'll send you some FFC.

879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FireFlyCoin Launched! on: February 11, 2014, 03:46:49 AM
I'm still having problems with this wallet.

I have no active connections, even after 10 hours. Angry

Someone mentioned adding addnodes in the "Firefly.config" folder,

however, i don't have a "Firefly.config" folder at the Installation directory, or in the Roaming folder.

I have tried the Console "addnode fireflycoin.com onetry", and nothing happens.

This is the only wallet(so far) that has given me any problems, Please help.

I will give a 5,000 FFC reward to the individual who helps me with the wallet from Hell. Cool

Aaron.

close client

Open Notepad and enter
Code:
rpcuser=fireflycoinrpc
rpcpassword=chooseapass
server=1
daemon=1
rpcport=5534
port=5535
addnode=fireflycoin.com
do a File Save as  enter %appdata% in the very top  and press enter it will turn into a path that ends in roaming
find the FireFlyCoin Folder and open it

Instead of federationcredit.conf make it fireflycoin.conf
hit ok to save it in the fireflycoin folder.

open client.

if this dosen't work then you may have a firewall issue on port 5535. let me know.
