Hi Miners ! I have a problem with the syncro of the blockchain : "No block source available..."
It seems there are no sources available : connection timeout trying connection 69.85.86.195:65534 lastseen=90.6hrs
Any IPs or domains where I could connect to get the blockchain ? Thanks Michel
I run a p2pool node over at http://us-east.royalminingco.com:9655/static/ so you could try connecting to that domain name and see if it gets you into the network. The port for the coin daemon should be open.

Pro Tip: "literally" does not mean "i really really mean it, like seriously"
I actually looked it up at m-w.com and discovered, to my horror, that one of the accepted meanings of "literally" is now "not literally" Welcome to the idiocracy... I think I'm going to go ahead and claim that I am forking my reality from everyone else's. In my reality, to ease communication (which coincidentally is the purpose of words), "literally" and "virtually" will keep its proper definition and not mean "one thing plus its opposite." Don't forget decimate. No one means 10% when they use it.

This exchange could be the surprise of 2014. The coins are really cheap right now.
And it looks great!
Thanks spread the word. we need volume.

Is this linux or win? I have it running on both with no problem.

Don't know. there is a pool and an exchange. my host company gave up on doing a 2nd pool.

I'll try again What driver do I need to do to allow ubuntu to see the x6500 I do not see an entry in the /dev folder.
I failed to get an x6500 running with a Win 7 64b host. I have yet to try it under linux. What has been working fine for me is a 32b Windows XP virtual machine, python 2.6, and PyUSB 1.6 for python 2.6. I just tried to get it going on Ubuntu 12.04.3 and failed. "No module named d2xx". Python 2.7 32 bit on win7 with Python 2.7 PyUSB-1.6 Same error in ft232r.py line 22 (first line of code) import d2xx

Guess who's mining BLC?
ME!
Haha, thanks Ignatius, Mogrith, Kramble, and BlueDragon for being very supportive!
Win32? linux? or what? I guess that means your not selling x6500's now?
|
|
|
Yes, a write up would be great.
I would much rather mine BLC than sell them.
On my Windows 7 Laptop, I can't even get the program.py to recognize the X6500.
Keeps saying no FT232 device found.
Same issue I had on win7 64.

I have 3 X6500 FPGAs I am willing to part with for cheap.
@kramble: did you get these to work? At what speed? They are a pain. you have to load the bitstreams all the time. I wonder why others are experiencing issues with the x6500 boards and blake? I have only loaded the bitstream once and have not experienced any issues with them. Speed ~400MHs. Edit: Using krambles miner.py, his X6500-Robust-v04-2core-fmax-100MHz.bit, against eloipool-blake. I'll try again What driver do I need to do to allow ubuntu to see the x6500 I do not see an entry in the /dev folder.

hello all,
ok i love mining with the pool on ispace.co.uk thank you "Marty19" for making it so easy to understand.
ok just wanted to stop by and say thank you to everyone that is making this possible
i am excited to see where these coins will be in say in 2 years from now. looks like "cassieheart" is working hard on making this coin a nice value. thank you for your hard work "cassieheart"
but i have a question? for the forum. where do i place the coins for safety after i have collected a bunch i read about "wallets" and that some "wallets" have security breaches
i would not like to loose the coins i have due to others with a superior computer knowledge.
thank you again everyone
In general I would not leave large amounts in pools or on exchanges. Because they have many peoples coins there they are more attractive to thieves. So set an auto payout on the pool. for the exchange transfer your QBT in sell it and take the BTC out and vice versa. Personally I'm not real worried about this but still don't leave large amounts on the exchange that are not up for sale. the QBT wallet is on your PC so is fairly safe. but do backup your wallet.
