The negative trust rating has been removed.
The reason it was put there in the first place... wasn't in the best mood (not the best day at work) and saw another PG inflammatory post. There's a big difference calling for a witch hunt right away rather than laying out the facts and letting people decide for themselves. And really I just left the neg trust to see what would happen, it has nothing to do with TBF pulling strings... I'm not even a fan of TBF.

Crap like this... you could have PMed me to ask about it, and it would have been gone! Instead you hop up on the soap box and start shouting.
Why take the route you did if you're not just trying to stir up trouble?

what about a "last edited %CLOCK%" function for edited posts?
There's a 5 minute window after first posting where you can edit and that isn't shown... otherwise edits times are noted. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177133.0When you mouse over the post time it tells you the time of the last edit

I believe they get paid proportionally to the workload they handle, which comes from revenues generated by advertisements.
Confirmed. Mod payments are a portion of forum ad revenue. Pay is based off of actions, but only theymos knows the algorithm to prevent anyone from gaming the system.

I have no idea why you would of been banned. This is really unfortunate. Does it tell you a reason?
Did you even read the thread before posting?

Use a little common sense when posting and you'll be fine!
And a temporary ban will show if you are doing something wrong. Exactly, I would like to know It also, what do you mean doing something wrong? what is "something"? Spamming is the reason most bans are handed out.

I also have the same problem but I thought Its gone when you get Jr. Member status? If I'm wrong please explain me.
Look through the link I posted earlier in this thread, it explains everything.

i have an hour in the problem
You should have read the newbie readme and could have saved an hour... Is there a way to force everyone to read the newbie readme when they first register their account? It wouldn't help much anyways... When the newbie section was the only section people could post in at first we had a similar issue. While registering it told you that you were restricted from posting in most parts of the forum, but tons of people still asked. Most people are just going to blow through any forced reading and not actually do it.

Do you have any proof that 0.01 BTC does anything at all for scam protection? It could even make things worse because people might be complacent since you're telling them there's scam protection... when there's really nothing at all.

You've yet to provide any evidence that your legitimate...

I'm not a fan of receiving a mass message to all mods, and I think a few others would be on the same page as me.
You should probably just make a post for your beta access to see who is interested, then filter out people you don't want.

Domain Name: AUTOOPTIONSTRADING.COM Registrar URL: http://www.godaddy.comRegistrant Name: Registration Private Registrant Organization: Domains By Proxy, LLC Name Server: ns19.domaincontrol.com Name Server: ns20.domaincontrol.com DNSSEC: unsigned Domain registration info hidden? Just another red flag.

This is clearly a scam, I really hope no one gives them any money.

No offense but you are saying ban signatures and say "WE really don't need to see it after every post" But yet i'm looking at your signature and you in turn are spamming me with your views and opinions. How are you to sit there and throw stones when you are doing the same thing that you are protesting about?
You're essentially making yourself a hypocrite NO?
I believe you missed my point. I was not saying that signatures are spam, but that paid signature advertising campaigns lead to people spamming more posts for the BTC.
|
|
|
Easier solution... ban signature advertising because it has only lead to spam
Are signatures even necessary? Just give people a signature field that can be viewed in the profile, we really don't need to see it after every post.

Personally I'm not sure who I'd trust with that, that is active enough. Admins can see everything, pms, even if deleted, ips, deleted posts, alt accounts, everything. Easier said than done.
That's true, but the admin only thing that needs the most help is account recovery. It really shouldn't be too hard to create a page that allows mods that are flagged for access to reset passwords and/or email addresses on accounts. That would only require changing a couple of fields in the database and shouldn't take more than 30 minutes top to code. Otherwise it's people waiting around for a long time to get answers from theymos. If he doesn't have time to do the admin work here, he needs to make it so others can help him. Is theymos essentially the only active admin? I think someone mentioned before that there's another but he isn't active much? I guess it comes down to trust at the end of the day (and that's probably a very hard thing to gain completely on here), but I think some responsibility could be handed down to another admin to ease the load, but maybe theymos likes it that way. Is there a list of mods or a known total of mods/admins anywhere? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=mlist;sort=ID_GROUP;start=0There are 2 admins, but AFAIK Stefan is only an admin in case something happens to theymos. I don't believe he does any admin work on a day to day basis. You can also find mods/staff that way too, but it'll be more of a pain to sort through.
