Yeah I have to agree this is bad idea.

Does anyone want to start an invite-only thread, I bounce this idea off some people a while ago, but no one seemed to like it then. How about now?

Sounds like a great idea!
242  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to change nickname? Or just displayed nickname? on: January 22, 2014, 06:20:51 PM
PM theymos and ask him very nicely.

The forum is too big for this now.  Staff, donators, and VIP can do it... so my suggestion is donate 10 BTC or create a new account.
243  Other / Meta / Re: Tapatalk support for this forum please on: January 21, 2014, 12:35:07 PM
tl;dr of every other tapatalk request thread:

Not going to happen, sorry

Got mine, looks sweet!
245  Other / Meta / Re: End of newbie restrictions; ban changes on: January 20, 2014, 05:19:29 PM
Uhh!! Most of the spamming happened on newbie section. Where else do you think those guys will go now.

I think you will regret this decision.

This is a distinct possibility, we'll definitely need to try and keep a close eye on other sections.
246  Other / Meta / Re: Time to Reorientate this Forum towards Cryptocurrencies in general. on: January 17, 2014, 12:43:33 AM
as putting Discussion on other Super coins like Doge into the Alt section is only going to be detrimental,

this forum should stay as the main legitimate source of Crypto discussion and if that means leaving some Alt coin

stories up on the Discusion front page then do it.

I agree. The altcoin subforum is the chamber of secrets. I posted a topic under speculation, but just because it was about ftc they moved it to the alt subforum. I mean speculation is speculation no matter what coin it is.

The description I see for the Speculation sub-forum is "Speculation about the Bitcoin price".

@OP - I think having discussion spam about alts all over the forum would be much more detrimental.  See site URL also... bitcointalk.org.
247  Other / Meta / Re: Can the Reddit tipping function for Doge be implemented in this forum on: January 17, 2014, 12:36:10 AM
We don't even have a bitcoin tipping function, definitely not going to be adding a dogecoin one anytime soon or ever
248  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace Trust Rating Question on: January 16, 2014, 06:30:52 PM
See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.0 for an explanation of how the trust system works
249  Other / Meta / Re: Quality Checking Mods? Who oversees Mods? Please help! on: January 16, 2014, 03:01:39 PM
IF a thread is really long in the romanian section which the scam is being discussed (there because the mod there was our poker site owner) can I go to Scam Accusations subforum and post---- er cross post the original thread in that subforum?

Like can i got to scam accusations subforum and just post link to where this is being talked about for people to see it?

Cross posting would probably be the way to go.
250  Other / Meta / Re: Quality Checking Mods? Who oversees Mods? Please help! on: January 16, 2014, 12:00:46 AM
Not familir with this fourm at all. I was only led here by fellow players to hung down our poker admin.

Can you link me to that thread?

we have one going over here with our owner but it's tough. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=416079

We are giving owner chance to respond before we blast the screen caps and proof and documents. Our site admin who invested in the site was ripped too. But it will prob be done by end of day if he keeps blowing everyone off and if you can lead me in right direction for the scam thread. And thank you.

I think you may have misunderstood me.  I have no idea if there's a thread going or not already, I meant that if you have proof then you should start one in the Scam Accusations subforum.
251  Other / Meta / Re: Quality Checking Mods? Who oversees Mods? Please help! on: January 15, 2014, 06:24:03 PM
Who oversees the website in general? Who has authority over mods?

Its come to my attention that a mod on this board is a complete and utter scam artist....yes there is proof, and yes lots of people got ripped off by one of his projects, he is a mod here, and I've personally seen him activaly starting new projects with what seems to be potential investors. Scary Scary.

Who can I talk to about this? Who can I go to about quality checking a person here who has been given authority as a moderator while he's also scamming others out of some serious money?

Let me know so I can get in touch with this person maybe they can help me out here.  Huh

i just want to be sure to talk to the right person when I'm sending the details, etc. Thank you bitcointalk!

If that's true, then you should definitely post proof in Scam Accusations.
252  Other / Meta / Re: Can an adult mod please move thread? on: January 15, 2014, 04:27:15 PM
I can't tell if you're trolling or just dumb.

Seemed like trolling at first to me, but is moving towards dumb the longer this is dragged on.
253  Other / Meta / Re: "New" button broken on: January 14, 2014, 03:29:13 PM
Adblock is what's messing it up, also it's a good idea to check previous threads before creating a new one...

Here is the updated chart comparison to Buy and Hold comparing btc robot. Profit is in USD

I'm calling bullshit, let's see the real raw data on the trades.  The only thing my bot did when I ran it for a month was lose BTC for me.
256  Other / Meta / Re: I am having a problem with url anchors on: January 13, 2014, 04:38:37 PM
Adblock is causing the issue, I'm assuming this is in reference to clicking new and not going to the new post?
257  Economy / Goods / Re: Who runs this site? Would you like to make Bitcointalk.org Merch? on: January 13, 2014, 03:19:54 PM
I wonder, why isn't there a "Shop" section already...

There isn't a good reason to add one, the site doesn't need more money.
258  Other / Meta / Re: Abuse of the trust system by Vod on: January 13, 2014, 02:16:40 AM
I think what ruined your rep was the hissy fit you threw when you didn't get an unsecured loan.

Have a good day, you scamming fool.    Wink

There you go again, you are a fool calling everybody a fool, Cant you see the way your making someone look, I have the right to expose a member abusing the trust system. And dont good day me, were taking this to messaging, ok?

Nope.  I'm blocking you.  You are 13 years old and clearly trying to scam by saying people can sue you if you don't pay back.  People cannot sue a 13 year old.

I'm done with you.  Enjoy your tag.

Haha,I am not 13, The reference he posted on the negative feedback to me was from the thread were I asked for a loan, and as you can see for yourself there, There is nothing I said about myself being 13.

He just proved to everyone that he is abusing the trust system by posting a lie about me and posted that because he is mad, thats no excuse. Now Vod has red on him, unless the mods want to help their friend now.

But meanwhile, Enjoy your red Vod, Just as the same you did to me.

I'm pretty sure he's only going to show red to you...
259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone use btcrobot.com? on: January 12, 2014, 02:52:39 PM
Current stats:

Profit: difference between the value of porfolio on the moment someone opens account with us and his current portfolio value in usd.
Avg. trading portfolio size: $2000

Not accounting for the rise in price in BTC while calculating profit, gotta love it!
260  Other / Meta / Re: Ability to Rate Posts on: January 12, 2014, 01:34:42 PM
I am not aware of the proper proposal regulations on Bitcointalk so if this is insolent please forgive me.

I believe the rule is that you can make as many proposals as you want, but none of them will ever happen Wink

That sounds about right!
