781  Other / Meta / Re: [EXTORTION & THREATS] Now OK On Bitcointalk.org? on: June 06, 2013, 03:50:26 AM
And its OK to post phone malware infected binaries in the forum, in the thread for my coin, telling people to download them?  Thats OK your saying?
No. If you have proof that he posted malware, we will take care of it. However, I have seen no evidence that he actually posted malware.
So, its Ok to troll threads, post your own binaries in said threads, an pretty much do whatever you want?  And if you defend your coin, your "trolling"?

I'm pretty sure creating a coin with 5 second blocks is trolling.
782  Other / Meta / Re: [EXTORTION & THREATS] Now OK On Bitcointalk.org? on: June 05, 2013, 08:45:00 PM
Guys you should really read the whole thread, that's worth it

^^^^^

The thread is gold

EDIT:
Aw, OP got made fun of so much he locked the thread and deleted the release of his new coin.
783  Other / Meta / Re: [Feature Request] "Ignored by # peoples" besides usernames (10 BTC bounty) on: June 05, 2013, 07:18:36 PM
Current rules are:
- 0.35% of very-established users ignore you: no public highlight, but a range on your posts that only you can see
- 0.5% of very-established users ignore you: light highlight
- 1% of very-established users ignore you: medium highlight
- 1.5% of very-established users ignore you: dark highlight

You're very established if:
- You have 100+ hours of online time
- You have 100+ posts
- You registered 30+ days ago

There are ~1414 very-established users right now.

The change only shows up in the default theme.
Is this still true or has the system been changed?

I believe it's still the same, except there are probably more very-established users now.

I think its a fair deal, BTC Blockchain also charges a transaction fee for this amount, i have to put a small amount there.

-0.001BTC is the expected return for this

This was a real helpful post, unfortunately I fell victim to a wallet stealer as well for $400 USD Sad....well not technically a wallet stealer but I had went to some TOR website and apparently someone was able to do a JAVA-ish type drive-by on me and I was on MtGox at the time and they were able to steal my wallet just based on my cookie info.  I guess sometimes the best lessons have to be learned the hard way.

Did you use something other than the packaged TOR browser?  Java should be disabled.
786  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lottery 0.5 BTC 1800 hrs GMT on: June 05, 2013, 06:41:04 PM
You may not be scamming, but a 10% rake on the lottery?  That's some shady shit right there.
787  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trust System on: June 05, 2013, 06:40:23 PM
Split this topic off from the trust system thread as this doesn't really talk about trust at all.
788  Other / Meta / Re: [EXTORTION & THREATS] Now OK On Bitcointalk.org? on: June 05, 2013, 06:36:39 PM
Dear OP,

Are you retarded? (I think you are)

I just looked at your thread about Quickcoin.  How do you expect 5 second blocks to propagate without forking constantly? (I don't think you thought about this)

EDIT:
Sorry for being off-topic here, but I'm just that amazed that OP thinks this can work.
789  Other / Meta / Re: Tapatalk on this Forum on: June 05, 2013, 06:31:18 PM
Dear and Beloved Admins!

Please notice the following 6 topics and all the posts within:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2319.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25341.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=9606.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=156847.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101430.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=65886.0
(I think there might be even more)

Take a look at forum traffic analytics - I'm sure hundreds of users are trying to access it on mobile devices.

Please install Tapatalk extension. It will take 20 minutes of your time.

See the below quote.

The Tapatalk modification is a massive amount of code that is clearly messing with the security system. I don't have time to review all of this code, so I will not apply it.

There's a lot more custom code added into the forums since he posted that reply, so I'm guessing it'd be even worse now.  Seems unlikely that it will happen.
790  Other / Meta / Re: [EXTORTION & THREATS] Now OK On Bitcointalk.org? on: June 05, 2013, 06:29:31 PM
@OP

You sound like a little kid whining to parents about a sibling.  Who cares about a new alt-coin?
791  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling a small amount of BTC 5 coin total to sell on: June 05, 2013, 06:26:58 PM
I'll buy all 5 coins if you agree to do escrow through John K.  If you say no I'm going to assume you're scamming.
792  Other / Meta / Re: Request to add a "Group Buy" child forum in Custom Hardware on: June 05, 2013, 04:54:18 PM
After skimming over Custom Hardware, I'm with OP on this one.

795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Login counts as a post. So you can't log in and then do a search. on: June 05, 2013, 12:06:25 PM
We would not want newbies to be able to search the forum I guess.

Use the 'Google Search' button you see after you click on the magnifying glass icon to the left of the search box.
796  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies, sell your forum account for BTC! on: June 04, 2013, 06:52:49 PM
Just so people know... selling accounts is allowed.

don't think this is a good idea. If trust can be gained through anyone, that could be easily faked by registering more accounts.
In fact, I have been cheated once by such system. Don't think it can work well. I DON'T trust anyone if I don't know him in the real world

Did you read how the system works?  It sure doesn't sound like it.

Sure people can register a ton of accounts and all leave positive reviews, but those don't factor into a score unless someone has all of those accounts in their "trust network".  The point of the system is it gives you a metric on people based off of who you trust and who they've reviewed.

Please make an effort to understand how something works before calling it a bad idea.
798  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: June 04, 2013, 01:42:42 PM
That is how evolution works. You start with Bitcoin; you have mutations. The successful ones will prevail! Just because Bitcoin is the most valued today does not mean it will be in the future.

I have earned more money mining and dumping Alt coins than bitcoin.

Imagine a world with only one fiat currency? Imagine the internet with only Bitcoin?

I also have having to post boring junk so I can actually post the things I need to Roll Eyes

Very true points.  The problem I see is that the average user of alt-coins is going to end up at a loss when trying to do that.  I've definitely lost out of profit because of stuff I was doing with alt coins.
799  Other / Meta / Re: brazilian moderador is using his power to sell more bitcoins and delete posts on: June 04, 2013, 01:41:39 PM
The Dictator 2501 erased another topic where he was questioned about his conduct...
He is using his power to promote their own sales...
Editing posts by users, deleting topics...

Who gave him that power was mistaken in the choice.

Got any links to the editing of posts or examples of how he's using his power to promote his own sales?

If there's proof/reason I'm sure we can get something done about it, I just don't really know all of the details.
800  Other / Meta / Re: Wtf is wrong with that guy? on: June 04, 2013, 11:34:57 AM
Yep, I noticed this too.  Almost 400 posts in about 2 weeks.  It's interesting because they're not all quite as garbage-quality as some people doing this.  But enough are, and posted quickly, that it seems like he is pumping his post count for something.  Hasn't posted in a few days though.

Pretty sure he's banned now.

I wonder if the guy trying to buy accounts is the guy making all these posts. Hmm...

Links to other [possible] usernames?
