61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl is not the best option as it seems on: May 20, 2021, 05:19:43 PM
When you have bought bitcoin at $50k then it goes down up to $39k then the best option to do is to hold it until it recovers, yeah those people who bought at $39k has the advantage because they will earn huge money once bitcoin goes $50k and those who bough before will wait again for another new ATH to have profit but they won't lose money if they wouldn't sell their bitcoin if the price goes down. If you are planning for investing for the long term then there would be no problem for you as bitcoin increases its value year by year.

Everything depends on the individual situation of each investor. Of course, if someone has bought Bitcoin at $50k then at the moment this isn't the most favourable situation for him but anyone with at least some experience in Bitcoin knows how situation changes. Bitcoin price is volatile, depends on various factors, like the current situation with China, however I strongly believe that holding Bitcoin on long term is profitable.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High transaction fees on: May 05, 2021, 10:22:56 PM
Higher Bitcoin price brings us higher transaction fees. No one likes that but U guess at the current Bitcoin transaction concept this is something that can't be avoided and some price has to paid.
However, I don't think that high fees are showstopper for Bitcoin and that it will not affect the overall volume of transactions.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: April 27, 2021, 04:32:48 PM
To my opinion the advantage of investing in Bitcoin compared to other types of investing is that you can start with really small amount and there is no the lowest limit. Of course if you invest snall amount you will not get rich but still investing in Bitcoin doesn't oppose you different limitations like sone other investments and that is the beauty of Bitcoin, everyone can take the chance and get involved with crypto world.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is falling down. Is it the end for it? on: April 18, 2021, 08:02:27 PM
It's definitely not the end. Maybe at the moment we are experiencing sone corrections and in fact I expected to come even sooner but in any case we can't talk about end in any sense.
Bitcoin still holds very high price, it attracted more investors than any time before and this we might call one of the most progressive times for Bitcoin. But volatility is something that is natural for Bitcoin and something that any person involved with Bitcoin must be aware of, without panicking every time when Bitcoin price falls.
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's not the end, $60k again on: April 11, 2021, 07:17:19 PM
Here we go again, we are at $60k but bitcoin still not breaking out.. What stopping bitcoin from breaking out? why is sti everytime bitcoin reach $60k it dump back below $60k.. I thought we are already at the bull run, so we should see a higher price.

It's not that simple, Bitcoin market is a complex mechanism and it's not functioning according to our wishes. I know that it looks easy for Bitcoin price to breach any boundary so once it reached one level why not get to another but that would mean that price can rise limitless and we all know it isn't so. In fact by now I expected sone bigger, although short term corrections, to happen. Anyway, patience is crucial as well as predictions of market behaviour.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast do you think will Bitcoin reach $100k? on: April 05, 2021, 08:32:39 PM
I think between now till September btc will around $100k, there are many good news, big companies and cooperations joining the space, giving more value to btc and making the price target more achievable,  this my guess but I won't be surprise to see it hit that target earlier than that.

It's quite optimistic prediction. The price is above $50k and expectations are big. Recently we saw how high and fast Bitcoin can go and that is the reason why we sometimes forget that corrections are possible all the time. Although I don't expect some bigger corrections so soon to my opinion Bitcoin might take a little bit more time to get to the $100k. So, my prediction is this will not happen earlier than the end of this year but I think that development of pandemic might also significantly influence the movement of Bitcoin price.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the official uses of bitcoin other then trading? on: March 28, 2021, 07:24:47 PM
Maybe is the wrong term used, so it's not meant like official use in narrow sense but as all other relevant and recognized ways of use. At least I think so. Use as a payment method is definitely one of it and probably most popular after trading.
Bitcoin still isn't fully and legally implemted into financial and economic system so it's hard to talk about official use but I'm sure Bitcoin is on the was to make it happen.
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predicts $100k before end of the year on: March 21, 2021, 07:56:19 PM
Many say that Q2-Q4 will be an interesting thing for cryptocurrencies, it seems that this Q1 market is really bullish,
the coming correction is reasonable, but different from last year's correction to -50%, and many say that March always bleeds?
In fact, this time the market said differently, the price of Bitcoin broke new ath again and again.

We all look to compare and make analysis of past data and similar behaviour of Bitcoin price which is good and usually useful but somehow this situation is different and harder to predict than usual.
Predictions of $100k by the end of the year is very ambitious but also possible. The last bull run showed us this and the last quarter of the year really could be very interesting and we should prepare for it.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at $50k: Looking back at the price perspective on: March 14, 2021, 05:00:09 PM
Do you guys also get that angry feeling deep down there in your heart? Where you heart say "I wish I should have kept my bitcoins which I earned or bought back in the time?""
I think no matter how big trader you are or big investor you are, this feeling stays the same to all of us if you have already sold your bitcoin.
I know there is thing called as satisfaction, so if someone says I sold at 14k USD and made profits then it's fine.

BUT, today the price is so high that even such guy would say I wish I would have kept it. Don't know but honestly this is what is going on my mind right now.

[...]

Be honest, and tell me do you feel the same?

i sold a bunch years ago for around 12k usd. it allowed me to retire and pursue some dreams of mine years earlier that even my most optimistic projection.

do i regret that? NOPE. best thing i did from my point of view.

That is nice to hear. In general I don't think there is any use of regret and especially in case when someone managed to do some good things like you did .
I also sold substantial amount of Bitcoins years ago, maybe not at the most favourable price, however at that moment this helped me to solve some personal and family situation and now I look at this as a good move. I can't say that I don't think somethines what would have happened if I left some until now, but it's not a regret. I can say that Bitcoin could be very useful and helpful for everyone of us, at any situation, at any time, no matter the current price.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that a new ATH is coming or a crash? on: March 07, 2021, 01:32:28 PM
Corrections are inevitable and we have to accept that. Recently we had 58000$ and now we around 48000$. But this is normal volatility cycle and at the moment I don't expect to see big dump. Probably price will fluctuate in the range between 40000$ and 50000$ for a while.
Although the market and investors are still under impression of this huge jump to my opinion the new ATH is not in the horizon.
71  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: March 02, 2021, 09:00:32 PM
My feeling is that sport is getting more and more corrupted. Although it should be example of high values it often becomes just the opposite. But we have to admit that this is not so strange because more and more money is involved in many professional sports like football, basketball, tennis and others. Sports have become more business than game and that is not good so I think we should get back to basics and that is not going to be easy.
Of course some gamblers play on illicit way on fixed sports matches and similar and sometimes looks that human greed really doesn't have limits.
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your price expectations for 2021 on: February 25, 2021, 08:53:08 PM
*In the middle of this year, I have no prediction of what price Bitcoin will be...
but I believe with some predictions that this year Bitcoin will break the $ 100k possibly by the end of the year. Bitcoin price is sure will set another big record this year and I am sure of it.

It's possible, although I"m not so sure $ 100k will happen this year. The expectations are big that is kind of reasonable having in mind current price however many factors will influence the price including big institutional investors, development of pandemic and further digitalisation of our world. I think that some corrections are possible too, price will not stay so high all the time and that shouldn't be a surprise.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "be your own bank" does it also mean be your own central bank ? on: February 21, 2021, 08:28:14 PM
Well, if you want to create your own rules for your own currency then you can also be your own central bank. That is the beauty of using Bitcoin, in quite wide range you can create your own rules and decide what is acceptable for you or not.
However, since Bitcoin is decentralized by nature I don't think this is necessary. There is no central financial or any other authority who would monitor it and control it. So I can understand why some people have fear of Bitcoin regulation although I think that doesn't mean centralisation and lack of freedom.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Manipulation of price will decrease soon? on: February 14, 2021, 01:34:26 PM
Those so-called institutions you see buying Bitcoin in huge amounts will be the manipulators. They are not buying bitcoin to hold for 20-30 years for fun. They are here to make profits and whatever opportunity they have, they will go for it as long as the end product is profitable. They will long BTC, they will short it, they will set bull traps and bear traps just to make profits, so I say manipulation will still be there.
Certain stocks do have so many institutional investors, but we still do see manipulations happening from time to time.

Well, it's still questionable if institutions are really buying Bitcoin in such huge amounts and what are they real motives
I agree that profit is what motivates them but I I don't think we can really talk about huge amount and institutional buying is still more exception than something that happens regulary. Also, we can't expect institutional buyers are Bitcoin enthusiasts and of course they are driven by profit but doesn't necessary have to be a bad thing.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: February 11, 2021, 09:16:52 PM
I am happy when get jack pot but why make some one can be die after win much money, we know gambling is two way to make us poor or become rich person in short time, if you have ready when loss much money in gambling why you not ready when get jack pot, maybe his mentality not on gambling way.
It's because there is too much hype and happiness and the person can't even handle it because maybe he's too old or his mind/body can't take those emotions he/she's feeling. I can't blame them because they have such a heart disease like that and I feel sad for them because they didn't even enjoy the prize they've won.

I doubt that he/she's not mentally stabled, a person can take shocks and excitement but in this kind of situation, only people with disease or old can die on this. Like what other people are saying, you don't need to be mentally stable as a result, you need a good and healthy body so you can't die of a heart attack.

I think it can happen to anyone. We can't actually predict how our body will react, whether we are young or old. In such situation body fills with enormous quantity of adrenaline and that can be leathal for the heart.
However, I think it's also about the self control and which character you are, how you behave usually in life. No matter the potential danger I would like to experience how it feels to win the jackpot. ☺️
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambling black market thrives in Britain on: February 08, 2021, 09:10:40 PM
If people prefer the black market (with all its risks and disadvantages) then this means that the government does a shitty job and the "white" market has the worst conditions. It works the same in all areas, excessive taxes, regulation and other restrictions on the rights of people lead to the fact that they try to avoid it and thus a black market appears.
It is not just that, black market have a loyal customers and the head of the operations knows a lot of people. Not to mention that the money you mean on the underground are tax free, and if I am right, they do not profit big on gambling, they want the loan sharking part of the operations. It is partly the fault of legal gambling businesses and the authorities on why this underground gambling dens are not dying, the businesses are strict and the wins are not that great, on the authority side, they seem to enjoy the profits of corruption.

This is exactly what I said - if you impose inadequate taxes, then people start to evade them and a black market arises. This also applies to other restrictions. The easiest way to defeat the black market is to have adequate rules and regulations in the white market.
Even having that adequate rules and regulations in a legal market wouldnt still be a viable solution because there would be people/owners would really be going into this path.

Some would go align with paying up the right  tax and there would be some that wont really be tending to pay which do really ends on this.

Its no surprise that each government would really have different take when it comes to gambling industry or business.

I agree, no matter how regulated and neat gambling market is there will always be some who will turn to the dark side. It's just too tempting and it promiises good money.
I don't think that repression will actually help and I"m not fan of too strict measures and big punishments but sometimes governments don't have much choice and I guess that people who play honest, both owners and players, deserve that and message should be sent to the dark side of gambling industry.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC back to All time high ..did you buy ? on: February 07, 2021, 08:43:21 PM
I haven't bought any now. It's not the very good time for buying when price is so high. It's not that I think it will not pay of once in the future but the price will drop at certain moment and it will be more favourable for buying.
Of course we can't predict when the price exactly will go up or down but if you have intention to buy it's always good to have some money extra so that you can react at favourable moment and invest. Dedicated investor is always ready.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is how mass adoption looks like. on: February 05, 2021, 09:35:35 PM
this is the kind of things we really want to see. if this dosent happen , then we are far from what we call adoption. untill bitcoin gets to the grassroot of every nation, adoption is still not achieved. when you can spend what you hold, its value will increase.

I can agree that we are still very far away from what we might call mass adoption. Let's be honest and admit that still very small number of people in the world in general population is using Bitcoin in any way. Or any other crypto. Maybe that doesn't seem so form the perspective of forum person but that is the real situation
Alz, for mass adoption we would need regulation and some framework that would enable trust, different attitude of governments, central banks and regulatory agencies and we are still very far from that.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino through cheating on: February 03, 2021, 09:08:53 PM
They have skills why they did not use to the right thing and for sure they will earn millions of dollars to their work or build their own business. People do cheating and they know the consequences once they caught they will go to prison or they torture for sure. They waste their lives by cheating yes they become instant millionaire by cheating but it is not the answer and doing bad is very wrong thing and the karma will soon happen them. I believe there is a lot of cheaters more in the gambling are not see because they are very smart to hide it but there is no secret does not reveal.

Sometimes in gambling many people don't care about if you cheat but your winings.
It's only when people start making mentions of how strange it is for the person to win that you will see the traces of cheating.
Aside from that, less people actually again. Though casinos owners are always watchful.
People will try to cheat the game because they want to get a win on that game. But unfortunately, not all gamblers can succeed in cheating the system and get the win money, but many of them are busted by the casino and the casino kick them all out from the casino place. But the casino will always monitor their place and always trying to investigate something that looks strange, so they can prevent the cheater from stealing their money. If someone can win from the casino by cheating, they will be lucky because not many gamblers can do that.

If you are getting lots of wins then the others expect someone is watching you from the dark. That's what happens to me when I successfully manage to find some bugs in the online game and I can do some task which is done for about a month and I can only do it for 3-5 days. I found myself investigated by the admin himself and finally kick me out of that game, I was banned forever. That's on the game, what more if you are getting some straight wins from casino without losing? You need to stay low no matter how many tricks you know. You just need to keep it to yourself.

I guess that is human nature, everyone likes to push the limits.
Cheating is bad bit some people just can't resist trying to find the easy way to make money even if that includes activities that are not allowed. I'm not judging anyone but if you choose that way you have to be aware how much you risk and what are the consequences. To stay low it's not the solution because eventually you will get caught, sooner or later you will get carried away and lose control and like you said you might get banned forever or lose great deal of money that will exceed everything that you earned with cheating. Do, it's not worth it, to my opinion.
80  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price correction btc 6-12 months on: February 02, 2021, 06:14:16 PM
I feel we are already in the correction phase from couple of weeks and we need to understand one thing that there is a huge difference between last bull run of 2017 and this current one. I don't think Bitcoin will go below $20k as there is very thin possibilities of bitcoin going below $20k in next 6 to 12 months, covid has had no impact on crypto market and we shouldn't be worried about it but I have witnessed increased adoption rate of bitcoin like start ups accepting payment in bitcoin which will only help bitcoin grow not do drop any further.

To my opinion we are currently in some more or less stable phase with smaller fluctuations. Intensive correction period is behind us but that doesn't mean it will not happen again
However, I don't expect some bigger dump in period that follows and I don't think that Bitcoin price will return to level that was before pump.
Some think that this whole situation with Covid and especially with vaccine also influenced Bitcoin price in positive way but I don't think there is some direct significant impact.
