Heres my submissions for competition and anyone reading can feel free to make use if they need one.  They are all one line only and should hopefully attract some attention without becoming too annoying for forum users and allow some accommodation with other stuff user might want in their signature.

Might make some changes later as i don't like my hero one, is there a closing date for submissions?

Problem with sockpuppetry is that you lose track of your accounts.

How many accounts have you got? Earning quite a lot?

Member rate is still low for me...
this campaign provide upfront Grin &  other signatures are allowed

But the payment send to win88 account
then you must bet a bit to WD,am i right ?

i just think why you getting payment from this campaign ?
and now your signature still in dicebitco.in ?

i think you cheated

I think many people will cheat this campaign. They have done on similar ones before. I've seen a few leave other deals for this and I'm wondering if they'll put their other signatures back and try claim on the other one when their time is up?

thats why trust system should be used and they be given negative trust rating so everyone knows not to trust those accounts for signature campaigns.  theres no excuse for not fulfilling their end of the deal after they received/withdraw the bitcoin

Or OP could send upfront payment only to those having positive trust, and send payment to the rest after a month.

thats what makes this campaign different, they are taking a chance trusting us instead of the usual we have to trust them for a month.  People who cheat or scam only increase the likelihood of changes like you mentioned which ruins it for all of us.

the Trust system can also be abused, and account makers here use it to build up trust on accounts they sell or use, so a positive trust requirement would not necessary prevent cheats and scammers from signing up, and the high trust they would have built up using other accounts they bought/control would let carry on doing this for some time, and potentially preventing others who do not abuse the system from being in signature campaigns if for example there is a restriction on number of users that can be in it.

Rocket Singh: "Thanks for the update. Requested for a partial payout. Rest will be used on the site. I'm also a little confused about the investment options. I dint see things like this on Just-Dice investment. Can u plz explain this edge wise investment and what does it mean by funded ?"

1) Funded means that there are other investors in at that level already

2) Currently, players receive best available edge for them and that is the bankroll played

We may be modifying this a bit and either allow players to choose which edge to play among those available.
For example, there may be bigger bankroll at 98.0 (2% edge) than at 99.5 (0.5% edge) and whales who want to place larger bets may be willing to take a different edge to accommodate bigger bets and so forth.

We also want to modify things a bit since some bankrolls may become too small (as is the current case since someone invested at 99.99% and rollover to other edges is not working as expected).

I need to write a full tutorial on this - just haven't had the time this week.

think that 99.9% was me Cheesy I was trying out a range of different edges to test.  99.9 seems to have completely zero'd so i wouldn't recommend anyone use this one lol, but it also the only one that has any games played, the other edges are only a few or still at 0 games.  thanks for the explanation and payment. also i will place some positive feedback for receipt and if possible would appreciate some positive trust given back at end of month.  I'm likely to continue with this campaign for as long as its offered in its current state Smiley

I also recommend you make use of trust system on anyone that scams you as an upfront payment is rare and people abusing it and then running to other signature campaigns is not acceptable behavior.  a negative trust on their profile will stop those thieves and scammers from being able to participate in most other signature campaigns.
This is one of the better signature campaigns to appear on bitcointalk and its a shame there are some people who will steal and spoil for everyone.

thanks again for payment, good luck with your site, I will try and promote it a little bit as well outside of forums Smiley

Did everything! -reindex a couple of times, replaced the wallet.dat with a backup and then rescanned! But nothing Sad
The coins are probably lost forever! Wasn't a big amount but it is a big question mark on the software! Hopefully someone here will be able to tell me what really happened! Sad

what address were the coins in before you sent them?  They will still be there and viewable on blockchain, unless you spent partial inputs previously from it, then you will have change addresses which will be in your original wallet.dat but hidden from main view, but the coins will be sitting there on the blockchain, so you would need to import the privatekey for the change addresses.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: August 19, 2014, 04:30:40 AM
Is posting articles with a link and the first paragraph into press acceptable use of that sub forum?  I notice alot of people are doing this without adding any commentary/opinions of their own.  To me it seems like spam and unconstructive and only purpose is to get post counts up for signature campaigns or building up account to sell at a later date :\

Just want some clarification about that

The good news is it sounds like they aren't lost just not showing up. If all else fails you could delete the blockchain files and re-sync, but make sure that you do not delete wallet.dat for obvious reasons.

its not the blockchain, its the wallet.dat that has wrong info about spent coins.  reverting to a backup wallet.dat before the attempt to spend those coins would be the easiest solution as it will not contain that lost tx and coins will spendable.  In the absence of a suitable backup, then next best option to is export and import the privatekeys from the current wallet.dat into a new wallet.dat, then rescan.
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: REALLY NEED YOUR HELP! Bitcoins disappeared! on: August 18, 2014, 03:18:10 AM
Any help? Please!!!!

Open Console and enter
dumpprivkey <bitcoinaddress>  Note:wallet needs to be unlocked first before using this
for each address in turn.  you can copy these to notepad temporarily
(don't forget the change addresses that you may have, and dumpprivkey for each of those as well)

quit bitcoin-qt.

backup wallet.dat to another location. then delete it.

then restart bitcoin-qt, it will create a new wallet.dat, enter in console
importprivkey <bitcoinprivkey> [giveitanameornot]
for each privatekey you from old wallet that you want in this new wallet.dat

parameters in brackets are optional, if you only have one privatekey to import, you can tack on rescan=true to importprivkey eg:importprivkey <bitcoinprivkey> [giveitanameornot] rescan=true and it will rescan without the need to restart the wallet.  if you have more then one privatekey its a simpler task to import them all first, then restart the bitcoin-qt.exe with -rescan using CMD or a shortcut with that added, when its done you will have your bitcoins back.

Alternatively you can export the privatekeys and then import them into electrum to spend immediately and skip the long waiting for rescan or blockchain download.

its a good idea for future to only spend your bitcoin when bitcoin walletqt is fully synced and shows a healthy number of connections to peers, it will prevent this happening to you again.

if I helped, feel free to TIP Wink

Hi All - As a total newbie to this sort of thing, I got into Cinni a couple of months back before the big downturn in price.  Recently I have tried to transfer funds from my wallet to someone as payment for stuff but the transaction never seems to go through and the coins are not returned to me  Sad.  I was told that I needed to remove the wallet.dat file and replace it with a backup from before the transactions and then 'install' and older version of the block files and restart the wallet program.  Once it had synced back all my coins would be returned to me.  Well I have been through this process about 3 times now and every time I seem to have less and less coins in my wallet when it is finished, AND when I compare it with the Cinnichain site it indicates that my wallet has only about 60% of the coins that I am 'supposed' to have and there are almost and extra 1000 transactions.

Today after reading through the last few pages of this forum, I decided to try the 'repairwallet' command, and it returned 'walletcheck = true'

Can someone tell me what might be wrong.  Is my wallet broken?  Is the CinniChain site in error?

Thanks in advance

likely your missing coins are in your change addresses.  you will need the original wallet.dat to reclaim those change addresses, this is part of how bitcoin works when you spend coins it will use a hidden address in your wallet.dat to seen the change from partial spends to.  eg you have 100 coins sent to your address, it is 1 input of 100 coins.  Now you want to send 10 coins to Sally, it doesnt deduct 10, it spends the full 100 in the following way 10 coins to Sallys address and 90 coins are sent to your change address which is hidden from view but can be viewed in coincontrol window.  Its impossible to only spend part of an input in any altcoin or bitcoin.  You need to dump the privatekey for that address and import that into your new wallet.dat

heres some further info about change addresses which everyone new to bitcoin or altcoins should know

I would like draw everyone attention to this article,  it has some important information and examples of how change addresses work and it is the same for bitcoin, cinni and every other altcoin that exists. Everyone should read it so they can understand better how transactions work.

Important parts to read are "How Bitcoin Transactions Work" and "Preventing and Recovering from Change Address Disasters"

Be alot more impressive if you made to the convention using Ultracoin.   Then you would have to something to say about UTC.

Anyone coming to this thread will see UTC had to beg to for others to sponsor them which does not look professional at all.  Why don't you ask some of the original devs who made profit from the IPO and dumps of their premine to sponsor this?  They have alot of BTC and 10 BTC is pocket money now to them.

617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | First Coin With Private Encrypted Messaging | No premine on: August 13, 2014, 01:11:43 AM

ok, i was doing unlock, dumprivkey and import that into a new wallet. The amount it shows now is a slightly different than what the old wallet was showing (less than 1 coin difference) but my missing coins are still not there. Explorer shows them though. Are those coins lost? How did that happen? Is there something else i could try?

yes, i was rescanning it after importing privkey - still nothing. Where did the coins go and why do they not show when they show in the explorer? I don't get it.

Did you import the change addresses?  These would have been created if you spent the partial amount of one input in a address in the past.  If you open the old wallet.dat and use the coincontrol window you will see these addresses marked as (change) beside the address under the initial deposit they came from.  they can only be seen there using the gui.  Its how bitcoin works when spending part of an amount, it makes two outputs, one to the address with the amount you are spending, and the balance is sent to a "change" address which is hidden from view.  You can check for the change address/es  on the explorer viewing any sends you made from the address/es, if it was a partial spend of input, there will be another address that is yours but not seen in the main wallet view but can still be imported into a new wallet.dat as you will have the privatekey for it.

shitcoin of magnitude.
I lost about 20% of my balance to the nirvana. Blockexplorer shows it is there but my wallet shows it not.
So how do i get my coins back from nirvana?

Use cmd than CinniCoin-qt.exe -rescan

you won't loose any coin

is good to use also Cinnicoin wallet/help/debug window/Console

type

repairwallet

isn't that complicate it is unbelievable SIMPLE

repairwallet and rescan afterwards didn't solve it

dumpprivkey for each address you own that has a balance, pay attention to change addresses you might have. delete wallet.dat (backup first, and rename it old).  importprivkey to the new wallet.dat.  it will take a moment to import each address.  restart the wallet with -rescan.  your wallet will be showing the correct amount.

dont ever use salvagewallet, its meant to be used as a last ditch attempt to retreive a corrupted wallet.dat because of power failure/bad write etc.

Use repairwallet in console everytime before sending/spending cinni and after staking to prevent the stuck transactions from happening, it takes just a few seconds and corrects the wallet balance after PoS.  Stuck transactions occur because PoS gives the wrong number back to wallet sometimes and so it tries to spend from inputs that dont exist.  repairwallet is a workaround to prevent this.

dumpprivkey gives me out "Private key for adress [myadress] is not known "

so what do i do now?

you might be entering it wrong.  also the wallet should be unlocked, then enter
dumpprivkey <bitcoinaddress>
in console for each address in turn.

after restarting with new wallet.dat, enter in console
importprivkey <bitcoinprivkey> [giveitanameornot]
for each privatekey you want in this new wallet.dat

parameters in brackets are optional, if you only have one privatekey to import, you can tack on rescan=true to importprivkey and it will rescan without the need to restart the wallet.  more then one privatekey its simpler to import them all, then restart the CinniCoin-qt.exe with -rescan using CMD or a shortcut with that added.

well my X1 arrived safe and sound and is now hashing away on mining rig rentals. if you are waiting for that LCD, its pretty useless. just log into the system via the web ip and it has a decent HUD of whats happening with the miner.

did you receive any compensation?
