I'm not satisfied with the Monero clients. I would like to have something similar to Electrum
You can use the GUI with a remote node, which kind of results in the GUI acting as a light wallet. See: https://moneroworld.com/#nodes

I tried to use the lates Monero Wallet on a Ryzen computer (Windows 10 with all the latest updates) and I get "Daemon failed to start"
Any suggestions ?
All the other wallets work fine.
A few questions: 1. Is there a space in the path to the GUI? E.g., is it located in C:\Program Files\Monero? 2. Is this the first time you try to run the GUI? 3. Which version are you running? 4. Could you paste the content of bitmonero.log to https://paste.fedoraproject.org? You can find the file in C:\ProgramData\bitmonero. Note that this folder, by default, is hidden. Therefore, you have to manually enter aforementioned path into the explorer. 5. Are you using a public network (e.g. university)? 6. What happens if you open monerod.exe manually? Does it start to sync? 1- no 2- yes 3- latest 5- no 6- will try later and report back TYIA Could you try the latest bins from here: https://getmonero.org/downloads/this is the one I have already. Thanks anyway. They have been updated ~2 hours ago, hence my suggestion.

I just downloaded The Linux 64-bit CLI from getmonero.org But I got the old version. monero-linux-x64-v0.10.3.1.tar.bz2
Few minutes later I downloaded again and then I got the latest version. monero-linux-x64-v0.11.0.0.tar.bz2
How could that happen?
I actually noticed I had got the old version when I was doing the sha256sum check.
Was there just few minutes ago going some maintenance on the getmonero.org so the files some way mixed or what happenened?
Fluffypony was busy fixing the links, which probably explains your observation.
