Did Dev or anyone else ever track that as the ip address of the bighash and confirm it?
Was it in fact china?
It would be first thought because of the size and constant hammering.

Oh and giant - scrypt IS one of the 5 algos.........used by digibyte anyway.
They try to appeal to gamers and have done pretty well.

Digibyte uses multi-algo pretty successfully.
It opens their coin to more miners and some protection from these evil ones.

My vote as best way to go.

Why are these folks blocking ....and where are the coins coming from.

Mining gets shut down when the big hash comes on, kicked me off suprnova about 3 am this morning.
No blocks in 6 hours.

Sometimes this coin is a mystery to me.

Well, bouncing around all day, guess this is the new floor until another push to next target comes along.
I'm all bought out for the short term.  

in last 3 years of mining,trading and holding.....I've never been more all in on a coin.
Lost my ass on a few too but this one seems so real.

Things are cooling off.
Is it going to be a quiet weekend with things staying low 40's to low 50's?

I know that earlier when I was mining and the chain would freeze up......when we got it moving again all my transactions that hadn't confirmed yet finally did and came all at once.
That's what we're seeing on a much larger scale now. There's been a couple legimate miners on suprnova pushing 200, 500 or more MH. In fact right now there's even a couple 900mh, 1000 mh and 6700 mh.

The renegade wrecking the block chain general hits it with 300,000 + MH and does it solo I think not in a pool.
Anyway, annoying as hell for us small miners


edit - Looks like some FOMO kicking in and folks sells are in the lower 40's again, big buy wall at 37 sat

Like Gravitate says....as more folks discover this coin....it's only going one way.
Might bounce around a little bit but it's real value is somewhere north of 1000 sat. 
Especially as a lot of "junk" coins fall by the way.

Guys are right, you have to time your deposits when the bastard isn't hammering the network.
it's just the way it is right now, caught me a few times too.  

Not trying to stir things up regarding wallet backups......its just anytime there is a substanial change in addresses or amounts.
I back the sucker up. YMMV.
Especially my Bitcoin wallets.
Coins I'm holding.....nah not so much.

Along the lines already mentioned by others..... most coins wallets have a "backup" listed under "file" which does just what it says. You can send this backup to another location on your drive, another computer on your network, a usb drive (I keep one handy just for this) . Further security is available by creating passwords and keys but these also need to be recorded and stored.....the further you lock down a wallet, you'll need them if you ever have to recover its data (coins). Help files on wallets generally have instructions on how to do this. it sometimes varies a little but in principle....they all do the same thing.

Keep in mind, every transaction that changes your balances  , you should backup.

Just good housekeeping.

Come to think of it.....I'd be a pretty happy camper too. 

Don't go by what walls go up or down, take a look at actual trades. And yeas there were four trades at 10 sat for just over 1 BtC each. Nor near enough to get excited about when you consider how much BtC poured into this coin a few days ago.
Also, its maintained a BtC volume on the first page of bittrex for  a while. But thats volume of buys AND sells, so keep it in mind too.

Look at the last page of "sells"....1000 verg at .4975 BtC....thats just over 7000 BtC...3 million dollars?
or the person that posted 4486788 verge for the cool price 1.9 btC EACH.....he's looking for 8524897 BtC or $ 3,690,172,250.

That kind of dump makes zero sense, you talking about all the orders selling into that buy at 10 sat on trex?
Don't see anywhere else, thats $4K worth of verge.
All the exchanges besides trex aren't even $100 of volume

Glad dev found the culprit, may be we can get back to normal mining.
