Not trying to stir things up regarding wallet backups......its just anytime there is a substanial change in addresses or amounts.
I back the sucker up. YMMV.

Wow there is a huge sell order of 16 BTC at 30 Sat, someone trying to cash out and dump it, they will be happy they made 16 BTC now yes, but in the coming year and years, they will be sad when it is worth 2000 BTC just like the guys that bought a pizza for 10,000 BTC and thought that was a deal!!  Shocked Shocked

I doubt that's what it is. Looks like price suppression to me.

If you want to cash out you don't put up a huge wall that people don't want to buy into. you wait and dump one BTC at a time.

Slow price movement to accumulate more. Think about it. Why would you put up a wall that you know people probably won't buy into because they get spooked by it.

Let's say this guy bought in under 10. He's got about 15 BTC worth at 30 and has decided he wants more. He puts up the wall at 30 and starts buying. Worse case scenario someone comes along and gives him 15 BTC for his VERGE. He can move that BTC down to 25, 25, 27ish and start buying or just take his 3X profit and call it a good day.

I'm sure it does. You can see price manipulation plain as day in BTC and ETH.

When you see something that doesn't make sense try and think about why you might do it. The people doing these things aren't stupid, they are trying to make money and more to the point they are trying to TAKE your money.

There are no absolutes and this may not be what's going on. It may be someone who has decided, "OK, I'm happy at 30, I'm going to put it all here and wait for it to sell." But I really doubt it because it's a bad strategy if that's actually the plan. If they have that much coinage to throw around, I bet they know what they are doing.

maybe put up that value to assure ppl that it is going up that far....   and buy up the lower numbers..

and some ppl would see that and buy, not really thinking it thru...

then the 30sat gets taken down when he sells x amount of them...  (im just guessing)

Either way, it looks like the sellwall was taken down. I don't think it was sold.

Yeah, the sell walls are so weak right now compared to where they were after the rebrand spike.

If we attract just one more whale, we could hit 40 sats easy.

lol just catching up on the last 2 pages, you guys are hilarious!

ps: just to clarify, your wallet.dat only has to be backed up once. you do not have to back it up after every transaction. it only needs to be backed up a second time, if you create another address.

hope everyones having fun! i'm in our irc chat and working on verge stuff, as usual.

These are interested tricks of the trade.. Price manipulation huh.. Sounds like you could easily lose a lot of money. Knowing my luck I wont try that one LOL
