601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet on live game or while game hasn't started yet? on: June 26, 2023, 11:59:10 PM
Most of the time my choice of betting is when the match is live. This gives you with the best odds or it helps you choose the right winning odds with low profit. Also this lets me watch the game. Whenever I see my bet is to loss I find a way to bet on the opponent and minimise the loss or cash it out at the loss of some bet amount. At times when my bets were on the underdog and find a good profit I just cash it out than waiting for the end result.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: 85% of AI start-ups will fail within 3 years. on: June 26, 2023, 11:56:50 PM
This is kinda true, tho I am not sure about the number of 85% since I never do any research on it, but it's I think it's about the right number. And it's not only AI, it happened in almost all break-through project. Like DeFi, in the previous trend or even more common industry like Online Transportation like Uber and Grab, there used to be a lot like this project but then only few is thrive and successful. User will slowly move to one project that are truly know what the users need, some industry doesn't even take up to 3 years to eliminate some projects.
It is the reality, just because AI is the ongoing trend companies focus on it. They never think about the real time usage as well as the affordability. Most of the projects initially focus the premium people which means the company is able to generate revenue reaching small number of people whereas it requires large marketing to make it generate revenue reaching the bottom people. When the real-time usage is connected with the common mans involvement the project turns successful.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks offering investing in Bitcoin on: June 26, 2023, 11:51:57 PM
Since they couldn't suppress Bitcoin, some banks are now endorsing investing in it. I remember seeing that I could buy and sell Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies if I remember correctly) straight from my business banking app when I was working on financials in some company a while ago. Now I wonder, do they just want to enter the market and profit off of it or are there some other intentions? Since they offer an exchange for business users, could it be possible that the system could be used so the government could actually tax Bitcoin by taxing the company investing in it trough the bank account?

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but when banks are involved with Bitcoin it always seems like an attempt of gaining some sort of control over it or push it to be more centralized in some way. And seeing more and more of them getting involved doesn't really comfort me.

What do you guys think, should banks even be in 'the game'?

If the banks agree to buy Bitcoin I think more investors will help accumulate the numbers. Because Bitcoin is not controlled by any owner or authority the only one who buys it (will own that piece of Bitcoin). So this change in bitcoin future is great because banks have created attention to bitcoin which is a plus point. Later on, Bitcoin futures will be dictated by the bank authorities as the number of investors increases and the Bitcoin price continues to peak overnight.

The best thing on such move will be the common man's involvement with bitcoin. Most of the time people doesn't trust something new, but it have big trust upon banks, I'm not sure on what basis is this happening. When bitcoin can be bought through banks surely it'll reach more people and they'll start investing. People who aren't much educated find this difficult to spend online. Banks helps them have a place where they can request help in person which isn't possible while using an exchange service.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 26, 2023, 11:31:53 PM
It is close to impossible because they have already budgeted for it; for example, in slot machines, they already have those funds and still can run the casino. We know that casinos are businesses, which is why they earn a profit every day, which is bigger than those who win big. The only reason a casino can go bankrupt is if someone wins big and their money is only enough to operate their casino, but that is bad management, so it is still impossible.

Yep and it rarely happens. But I think I read a thread before in this forum that someone won a jackpot prize but the casino didn't release the money and I think they come to the point that they need to talk about it in the court because of that thing. Casino earns a lot each day and it is nearly impossible to get bankrupt maybe they can hold your winning prize because of whatever reason they have but they will not go bankrupt for sure, I never heard a casino goes bankrupt because someone's win.
Casinos going bankrupt is very rare. The major reason that could turn the casino go bankrupt will be the poor management. All the games added to the casino generate money favouring the house. The casinos keep generating money and it is the responsibility of the casino owners to invest it further on some other businesses. Casinos is a business where big money comes in everyday. We were able to see people who don't know how to spend money and loss everything when they get big money all of the sudden. Such scenario shouldn't happen, which is the real cause a casino could go bankrupt, but it won't happen these days.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 26, 2023, 10:28:36 PM
Till now there is no clear information whether the event is taking place or not. Based on different sources it is said most of the popular porn stars have left the tournament. The major reason stated is the money involved, which is small for what they take forward. The rules were framed along with more other details, but the venue is kept hidden and no information on the schedule. Based on what is being posted the tournament starts June 8 and lasts for another 6 weeks. Already 3 weeks passed and there is no information as some have started to claim themselves the winner.
606  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: June 26, 2023, 10:14:40 PM
Focusing on investment is good than focusing on eating. I understood this from the personal expenses met by my mother and how she saves money. It looks small, but it helps and even helped when I don't have money I borrow from mother.

She grows lots of plants and vegetables around the house and meets the daily food needs. With the rest available she sell it to the nearby people and gets little money. This she use on other groceries required. Being on the rural region this can be followed easily. Sometimes she manages with the food that is left unused the previous day with some sort of modification. Some might term it unhealthy, but she does it in a healthy and tasty manner.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 26, 2023, 09:45:53 PM
Lol this fight isn't going to happen, a cage fight for that matter!!

Probably this was some kind of figure of speech that was misinterpreted for its literal meaning...but if they will have to fight it will be a tech fight not some mixed martial arts UFC style...

But then again after seeing that Dana White white interview were he confirmed both Billionaires subscribing for this fight, there is a possibility that this will happen.
Hoping it wouldn't be on the mataverse. I would like to see this fight, it's one in a lifetime that rich guys like Musk and Zuckerberg will bout in a match. If Dana White hinted it and he's sharing it across his social media then I think it will happen, he even got a t-shirt of the upcoming fight. I'm with Mark here considering he's still more agile than Musk.
Reports has it that it wasn't as serious as people has taken the news. It's a fight that's not ever gonna happen in because these two billionaires wouldn't go in to the boxing ring just to show what everyone already knows which is who's more influential between them.
However, if for any reason such fight finally happens, then we all should be pretty sure that Ekon Musk will definitely beat Mark Zukerberg.
Such a fight is senseless, there are people who love these kind of things happening around. Those two are at a better position and they've got more other ways to prove one is better over the other. Even this kind of fights can risk life, because the body is combined of different sensitive parts which could not function in no time. We people should avoid encouraging these kind of acts with the popular ones as well as within us.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 26, 2023, 09:41:05 PM
Crazy shit going on in the super over!!!
Logan van Beek goes mental. Hits 30 runs in 6 runs against Jason Holder!!!!
West Indies need 31 runs from 6 balls now, to win the match now. I am not sure who will be bowling from Netherlands, but it is going to be a very tough job. The pitch looks dead and offers no support for the bowlers.
However, the Netherlands saved my hopes, they managed to win in a dramatic way. In the last over this match gives me different type of feelings, Sometimes it seems that the West Indies won, and sometimes it seems that the Netherlands is going to win today.
I never thought that a team like the Netherlands would reach the Super Over, then win against a hard hitter team like the West Indies. To be honest, when I saw that West Indies scored 374 runs in the first innings, I thought that Netherlands would not be able to win today, but they made this impossible possible. I would like to congratulate the Netherlands team. However, through this match, Netherlands can show that they too are ready to play in the next ICC World Cup. I won't just talk about the credit of Logan Van Beek, the whole team work of Netherlands behind today's win, especially the middle order and last order batsmen and the super over at the end.
Big blow for the West Indies team. With the win Netherlands have secured the second position and moved to the super six. This time the disappointment is with Ireland, because it wasn't able to reach the super six as they've lost every matches played. Super Six matches will be more interesting and even now this looks like a dream that Netherlands won against West Indies after a mammoth target of 374 runs. The best thing with Netherlands is bringing Logan Van Beek in the Super Over, and he hadn't wasted single ball. Everything he connected to the bat with 3 sixes and 3 fours. Big match against a team that stood undefeatable when dominant by the legendary players in the past.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 26, 2023, 09:32:03 PM
We are not here to validate you in any way. You took a big chance, and it paid off. That might be done by someone else, but it wouldn't work for them. Do you think about taking a profit now that you have a 100% profit? is what I would like to know. Or would you want to make a 200% profit before taking a profit? Once, I sold a Rolex and invested the proceeds in bitcoin. I took a profit and purchased a new Rolex when the price of bitcoin rose. You can take the risks and still be safe if your calculation is accurate.
It all depends on how you consider bitcoin and the way you carry it forward. There were difference of opinion when it comes to selling properties and buying bitcoin. Going through the life of Taihuttu we'll get to know how positive we need to be and how his family have turned bitcoin family. Not only his house, he sold his entire belongings to invest into bitcoin. Just think the risk he had taken with a family of five.
610  Economy / Economics / Re: What roles does the poor play in the Economy? on: June 24, 2023, 11:59:31 PM
What role does the rich one or the citizens of a country holds will be there with the poor people. Every country have got particular amount as debt and we used to make calculations how much each one needs to pay, so that the debt can be ended. Here the poor people will also have the same amount as the rich ones. When there is increase in the poor people, it means the government is not good in its role and the wealth distribution isn't happening around. In most of the countries it is the problem, the poor people will be hidden from the outer world and the growth of specific percentage of rich people on the top order were considered as the growth of the country. This is completely wrong. A country's growth should come out of the combined progress, few individuals growing their wealth in terms of 2000% and 3000% and poor people increasing in numbers on the same way on the other side is the worst of any economy.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 24, 2023, 11:46:43 PM
I was surprised on seeing the result between Zimbabwe and West Indies as the target was not that huge and my expectation was that West Indies would chase them but once Sikandar Raza took the wicket of Shai Hope, i knew it is going to be a close match as they have a fairly young team and expected the pressure would consume them and that is exactly what happened in the end.
West Indies players need a better guideline to do well by being under pressure. The match was still under control of West Indies after the fall of 5th wicket. But the lower order batsmen couldn't take the pressure. West Indies bowlers had also given a bit extra runs on the last two overs. West Indies was knocked out from the group stage in the last T20 world cup. I wouldn't be surprised if they get knocked out from the qualifier stage of the ODI world cup.
Your prediction about West Indies is right because a T20 style batting team like West Indies did not participate in the last T20 World Cup. Moreover, it cannot be said with certainty whether the West Indies will be able to participate in the ICC World Cup this year. But in today's match, West Indies' sure victory and losing the match bears that indication. Zimbabwe will participate in the Super Six as group champions. However, in the case of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwean bowlers and batters have been given additional benefits in their own venue.
From the start of the World Cup Qualifier West Indies and Sri Lanka looked very strong and they never took any team down to them and played, because losing a match will make them get into trouble. West Indies have come into the trouble, must win match against Netherlands itself a pressure. Another thing, Netherlands is a team same as West Indies. We don't know when they'll perform well and when they don't. The bottom order didn't perform which is the reason for the loss of West Indies against Netherlands, however expecting performance from the lower bottom is really unfair.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: June 24, 2023, 11:34:35 PM
Women's Ashes being played between Australia Women and England Women. Both the teams are at their best. It resembles same as the first test match that took place between Australia and England men's team. End of day 3, Australia with 92 runs lead and 10 wickets in hand means there is more chance for a draw. If there happens consecutive wicket fall we can see thrilled match. The performance from both the teams were really impressive, because if it was other teams surely they could've never crossed 200 runs. Australia have scored 473 runs in the first innings with the top performance coming from Annabel Sutherland scoring 137* runs. Following the performance, England have scored 463 runs with the top performance coming from Tamsin Beaumont scoring 208 runs.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.7 billion people are still Unbanked; chances for bitcoin on: June 24, 2023, 08:26:28 PM
Looking upon the incident, it arises me with the question ? The 1.7 billion people were unbanked not for the same reason or a reason like they're not connected to the real world. The truth, they don't need banks, they were not that educated to handle Bank. In such a situation how will this be possible that 1.7 billion or a part of the unbanked population move towards bitcoin. For the purpose of conversation this looks good, but in real time we can't expect this to be successful.

Right now the banked population needs to do the best making some regular bitcoin transactions. Doing this will surely make a better bitcoin market than what we're seeing around. This will be the better way than educating the unbanked groups of people.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do gambling addicts bother about the consequences of their actions? on: June 24, 2023, 08:13:09 PM
Most of the gambling addicts were middle class people. This isn't known to the outer world, just because we belong to the same category we will be able to predict the reality happening around. Rich won't get addicted to gambling easily, because rich never think of the winning. When one thinks about win and making money, automatically it leads to gambling addiction. With the middle class category they somehow control within them, at very rare instances we'll be able to see those people disturbing the people around them.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 11:55:10 PM
Futures trading is kind of gamble which is a known fact. For this reason I prefer gambling where I can get the immediate outcome than waiting to know the outcome. Futures trading assure with the better profit, but it have got the risk higher than what we follow with the traditional trading practice.

You need to be very observing with trading practice, only then it is possible to enjoy the benefits of futures trading. Here also we need the patience to be successful. Not everyone is able to follow it. Another thing we should have long and short term plans
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: June 23, 2023, 11:50:22 PM

It is no longer a secret that the main reason why so many European players are going to the Saudi Arabian League is because of the fact that that it offers huge financial rewards and also guarantees that the players will fall back to their acquired wealth whenever they retire from football.
The Saudi clubs aren't majorly concerned about the financial weight that these deals seems to possess, they just want to get this European players signed so their influence can make the league more global and competitive

It was never a secret and everyone knows the mains reason for most of the players when joining the Arabian team at the end of their career is the better money they can earn on these teams even the most famous players like Raul from Real Madrid and Xavi from Barcelona played in the Arabian teams. However, these two players both joined the Qatari teams but the Saudi teams can even have a better situation financially.
That's for real, most of the players who had been playing for European Leagues prioritise the Arabian league for the money involved. More popular players were brought into the league. The Saudi Arabia Pro League teams were making use of the opportunity, which means the financial situation of some teams were really down and Saudi Arabia Pro League teams were doing great signing players from those teams.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 23, 2023, 11:43:22 PM
- Pujara is out and they went back with Rahane as a Vice Captain (no ball from Cummins saved Rahane's career lol). Wondering if Kohli time is also coming?
- In the batting department 2 new guys Gaikwad and Jaiswal are in but the top performer of the Ranji are neglected.

I highly doubt that they'll drop Pujara, i think this might be more like a rest for him and he'll get another chance for sure, he is a big veteran equivalent to Kohli, Rohit when it comes to Tests. There can't be a better series to test Jaiswal and Gaikwad, it would've been even better to rest maybe Rohit to test even Sarfaraz Khan who was playing great in first class. Good place to test our bowling bench strength as well.
It looks like India is underestimating the West Indies team and giving more space for the new ones. It is needed one, but the team should have players like Pujara in the squad along with the new players. We don't know how good will be th performance of new ones, even if they fail to perform, the role will be carried by Pujara with his expertise performance. Lets see what happens as the team is playing away from home which could give better experience than playing within the country.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: June 23, 2023, 11:38:24 PM
Rather than the probability and the possibility people does lottery with some sort of hope. In my state lottery is banned, but the nearby state have got lottery legalised and the government itself is running it. People from my region used to travel around 50km and buy lotteries. This is just as a hope and for many people this have turned to be regular practice. Whether they win or not, they prefer buying it regularly. Every month they used to allocate separate fund for lottery ticket buying.
619  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: June 22, 2023, 11:53:37 PM
It all depends on my financial status; my earnings will decide which one is best for me.

Building a house will cost a lot. I know it's a one-time deal, but let's not forget the fact that a living house is more of a liability. The expense of paying for rent every year might be off your budget, but there are bills that come with owning a house. Let's not forget that the loan amount will be deducted from my salary on a monthly basis, which will reduce the amount I will have to come home with every month. My wellbeing expenses are attached to the salary, so cutting it short means I will either have to adjust or look for other earning means to meet my bills.

So it will be better if I take that loan, rent an apartment, and set up something that could be used to generate money so I can actually build a house of my own, rather than building a house from a collected loan. If I take a loan enough to build a house, I could possibly use that to set up a business and allow my employees to be educating my loan amount from my salary, so my business can be generating me some income, which I can use to cover up those loan amounts every month. If those loans are fully covered, or maybe there are good profits coming out of the business, only then can I think of starting up the house building. That's when I will see myself as someone who is financially ready to foot the bills of my own home.

There are a lot of things why I would prefer renting an apartment over owing a house, are due to the cost of maintaining such a house, like fixing water leakages and sucking of the sewage system except with the use of a Biodigester system, repairing and paying of electrical bills that will power the entire building, sometimes fixing of roofs if there is a leakage and the cost of keeping the compound clean, if you take all these into account, you spend less money on rent than owing a house and would have the opportunity of living wherever you want.
Final thing is right, apart from that we don't have much of maintenance with own properties. Renting gives the preference to move anywhere, with the person who lives in a restricted budget will say the difficulties faced while residing in a rented property in the third world country. The owners give some terms and conditions which will make us vacate the property at the earliest. Few of which were the limitation in electricity usage, water usage, some doesn't let pets and more things can be listed. For these reasons in my country people try to somehow manage and built their own house.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: June 22, 2023, 11:39:25 PM
-snip-
however, the Saudi clubs have great power in their finances. and bringing European players to come there is not something difficult. even if it's only 1 or 2 seasons only. Ruben is no exception, they may feel that he is still too young to leave Europe and move to Saudi Arabia.
however, clubs from the Saudi Pro League seem keen to have European players coming there. although not as competitive as in the Premier League or La Liga. with them coming, it makes the Saudi Pro League even more attractive.
Yes there is no doubt about the power of their money, and they are also not half hearted in giving big salaries. How not, they give bigger money and it's very tempting . Reasonable, if Ruben was tempted because if he plays at there then he will get a lot of money, and of course besides longer playing time.
Since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, clubs in Saudi have received a lot of attention from the world community, especially from CR7 fans. So yes it seems they want more European players, to make the saudi league more attractive.

After Ronaldo, Benzema, and some other famous players in the world it seems Bernardo Silva is going to be the next target for the Arabian teams while, unlike these players, Bernardo Silva is not old enough yet but he still got offers from the Arabian team Al Hilal and PSg said they can't give him more than he can get in Arabian teams which can give more chance to Bernardo silva to play in Al Hilal in the next season.
The league is in need of more number of popular players to make the league more popular. The government doesn't have any plans to compete against the major leagues. Based on the understanding, it is the government that had got some vision for the country and working on it. It have planned to make the country good in sports and the same could bring the economy up. Same as what we see here with football, the sports authorities too have tried to host the largest T20 cricket league.
