I just found these links out today. Somebody sent me to my email. (Sorry, I deleted the email soon after viewing it, didn't feel the need to trace it either)

602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi made a big mistake while creating bitcoin? on: December 30, 2015, 06:34:38 AM

satoshi made one mistake when he created bitcoins and we only can solve the that mistake by giving the miners a little bit of identity and then ensire that bitcoins are decentralized.

Well, Bitcoin is neither fully anonymous, nor decentralized because,

  • Every single transaction that were ever made are available in the blockchain and your personal info is being tied with your address whenever you are making a purchase online or offline(= hand to hand transactions).

  • Bigger pools = better stability for the network = Pseudo-centralization (See for yourself)

I think this pretty much sums it up to denote the current position of Bitcoin protocol.

603  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 30, 2015, 04:50:56 AM
So I tried contacting the block chain guys, thought they could just freeze the wallet, this is what they had to say :
~snip~

Nah! This is inevitable. Blockchain cannot help here since all his addresses are in his Armory wallet as per his claims. (High S Value Error)

I have recently started an escrow service with my abundance of free time on the internet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=932294

But otherwise I personally trust monbux and devthedev to escrow most of my transactions. Other times I use bitpop, he's usually very fast at responding if you need a quick simple escrow done. Just be careful of imposters.

So you have abundance of free time on internet? I always noticed you for the last few months that you were late every time you released the escrow funds. And now this! Undecided
604  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 29, 2015, 09:14:23 PM

I have verified his signed messages before, and they always came out correctly. But now they aren't.

BTW, this is not encrypting messages. It is signed. If the message was encrypted, it wouldn't have anything like PGP signature. It would be just a block of random characters. I think that is just Keybase giving a bad error message.

Well, I might be wrong here then. I was also wondering the same when I started signing one of his messages. Well, I might contact chris tomorrow related to this issue.

_______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________

I am getting a little bit out of topic here, but i just wonder because i have seen it in 3 posts till now..
What can Gleb do?? Is he a hacker or something?

Well, if you are asking this, then you actually don't know him newbie. Wink

_______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________

ive already stated multiple times im not posting them publicly, theres no need for everyone to see this, just the right people. ive sent it to escrow.ms, shorena, mitchell (bitcoininformation), and quickseller.

Oh well. Better then. Smiley
605  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 29, 2015, 09:04:13 PM

i was the one who originally messaged him about the issue, and he has removed me since this blew up. i also recall EAL (the mod) was on his friends list too under the steam ign EAL F. Skillz (profile home page, saw it by chance), but i dont see him on there anymore either. pretty likely he (master-p) has already purged his steam to completely cut off ties from the forum.

Do you have any screenshots of your claims? Probably it would be best if you had showed them here. This might instigate him to think deeply about the situation.

_______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________

BTW, have anyone bothered to verify his signed messages from his Keybase account? He din't even know how to sign a message, instead he just encrypted them! I was trying to verify all his signed messages and got the same error as follows:

Quote
Error: you cannot process a message that was encrypted for someone else.

This is how a signed messaging via PGP key is done:

Code:

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512

This is an example of how a signed message from PGP key should look like.
P.S. This message is signed by  notaek from bitcointalk.org on December 29, 2015 at 08:48:21 PM Forum Time.

You can verify this message and all other PGP signed messages here => https://keybase.io/verify

-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

And for everyone's kind information, this error is also found in his signed message that was done first on January 29, 2015, 03:34:40 PM . So you all can conclude the rest! Roll Eyes

Anyways, since that was his first signed message, can anyone freely reveal here, who sent him an invite for registering on www.keybase.io? (I guess they weren't just accepting random users as of today).

Moreover, by looking through his past post history, he was an "altcoin buff" and was 95% active on the altcoin sections until he slowly abandoned the altcoin section and started his escrow service from Jan. I felt to revel this information in case someone can link any conclusion as to when actually the account was sold! Or it might be a hoax overall.

That's all for today. I wonder, what's Gleb Gamow doing at the moment. Tongue

----- SNIP -----

(I guess you came back after reading my email Wink )

You sent him an email? Wasn't that probably hacked/sold as a bundled kit with the account?

I don't think so afterall. Wink

Sorry guys, I wish I could do more but I don't even come on here anymore nowadays. Some people here still have me on steam. I did some deals where the new owner of the account forwarded to me simply to keep the persona without it having it figured out by the community that the account was sold.

-snip-

Sure, I suppose people here can blame me, believe me or not believe me, at this point I can't do much. I knew showing up here would probably only make things worse for myself but I can't really care too much right now. Think and believe what you will. My apologies again everyone, I won't be back.

Then why did he bother to reply here again? Somewhere he also posted that he doesn't care about being DOX-ed.... all are lies my friend Roll Eyes

BTW, somebody should try PMing him on Steam. Maybe that would be helpful, since he already claimed, Steam accounts can't be hacked!
607  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 29, 2015, 05:59:48 PM

I can't log in to my account so clearly the password has been changed at some point while I was gone.

Just wow. This community is so bent on throwing me under the bus without giving it a chance at getting it fixed. If nobody is willing to help then consider your coins lost because I don't know any other way to help fix this.

The only thing I can do is go back home in about a week, boot up my PC, and hopefully be able to change the passwords on my wallets before the hacker is able to export or send the coins out.

If anyone has any better ideas then please let me know. If not then I guess I am on my own and will have to wish for the best.

And even in such a dire situation, still so many sig spammers trying to bump up their post count in here.. It's a fucking shame.

This 360 seconds posting restriction sucks. I'll come back tomorrow morning, going to sleep now.

For God's sake, do not sleep in this situation. How can you think of sleeping peacefully?! Angry If you are the real master-p, I'll advice you to:

  • Create a list of every members, you had escrowed the funds and immediately contact them either via pm or ask them in a new thread (recommended, for transparency) for getting their refund addresses. (I would like to prefer any responsible one involved here, to create a new thread with the list and a link to your proof that you have used master-p as the escrow provider and have already sent the funds The listing is done here. Thanks knightdk)

  • Start refunding them (alongwith a signed message from each of the addresses you are using for initiating the refund) immediately after converting your Fiat to BTC, wherever you are residing at present. (You can ask here for the monetary conversion obviously using any escrow among  the aforementioned "The Big 5" list)

  • Download a new wallet on your mobile/laptop for the purpose. (I don't think your laptop is compromised the same way your PC did)

  • You may not refund everyone but at least start from small contracts you escrowed.

  • In the meantime, don't try to turn on your PC remotely (until all refunds are processed from a new wallet), as this might worsen the situation further.

  • After you have refunded everyone (I think you'll come back home by the time you have initiated the last refund), then you may try to turn on your PC (make sure your internet connection is turned off) and backup your wallet.dat file from your wallet. (you can only skip this step if you already have a backup on a pendrive which isn't inserted after your PC got compromised)

  • Lastly, download the wallet anew on your laptop or reset your PC (not recommended) and after re-indexing the Blockchain, restore your wallet.dat file.

Well, you are solely responsible for everything happened so far and now you will have to clear the inevitable mess. Why are you to blaming us loudly for not believing in you after so much happened?

(I guess you came back after reading my email Wink )
608  Economy / Reputation / Re: A new kind of trust farmers? on: December 29, 2015, 09:00:25 AM
I fully agree on your notion, Athertle. Moreover, trust farming is also being done when an escrow provider vouches for a very small trade. I think "trust farming" can be prevented by giving neutral feedback after every successful micro-loans/trades. No harm done either way.

Mitchełł did a great job adding a footnote on his escrow thread:

Note: I will not leave trust for microtransactions. No trust farming here.
609  Economy / Services / Re: Master-P's FREE Escrow Service | IPO/ICO/Sig Campaign 1% | Acc Trades 0.005 fee on: December 29, 2015, 06:25:30 AM
All these would never have happened, if this forum had imposed strict regulations regarding IP-ban. I'm not blaming the forum at all, but if these rules were in action, eventually this account selling policy would have been died down quite earlier. But now, accounts are sold every now and then.

I wonder whether he actually sold his account in first place, (according to Quickseller's call) since I feel he won't risk his life, selling his PGP key as well as his gmail account to an unknown user, although his private identity is already known by someone in here.
610  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 06:36:56 PM

Once again, this is not relevant here. Make a thread in Meta or stop talking about it.

Well, I felt the need to express my views and I think it's fully related to this! (no need to start another drama in meta now) Had it been that master-p did sell his account, and these rules were imposed beforehand, this scam wouldn't have happened. Well, I already know these rules aren't going to get effective in either way. Roll Eyes

Apparently this is the TX id of part of the transaction, though it does seem a bit strange that it only has half of the supposed amount, and later than the supposed selling date.

Well, where's the other half? And, why he just gave a lame excuse that he forgot about the other half of the txn?

If anyone did a trade with him on Namecheap previous to August then we could perhaps compare the accounts for that, though that may have been included in the trade.

Yes, that's a good point IMO.
611  Economy / Services / Re: E-coin Fixed signature campaign(Only Hero and Staff/Legendary)||Full on: December 28, 2015, 06:24:49 PM

They should value any outstanding payments/work that has been done for them. The participants are in no way to blame for this, they didn't select the escrow, they did their part of the contract, delivered their work, this shouldn't be done with on their expenses.

I think you should contact EURO_STACKA. As far as I know, he's the one who appointed mesmer to initiate this campaign.

I already left hope in this and so I immediately started a campaign where funds are paid upfront.

Tl;dr: I'll think twice joining the campaigns where they don't have a backup to their escrowed funds!
612  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 06:16:37 PM

@master-p, one wrong decision can really make a difference in a man's life and fuck it up. If you still have the funds then please, come back and pay everyone up.

Why "if" ? He has taken the responsibility of holding the funds and is now playing with them. He should pay back every bits he has taken, whether he has any bitcoins for himself or not. There is nothing to be lenient and remain polite here.
613  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 06:00:56 PM

I don't understand why he would want that though, if there is a quoted, signed and verified message pointing towards the account being sold on the previous pages.

Where's the transaction details of his deal that he sold his account? How can we be so sure from his words that he really sold that account? A signed message for an apology doesn't really verify this! Sorry.
614  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 05:55:42 PM

What difference does it make? I'm not trying to take your money, I'm not trying to offer you a service that I can not deliver, I'm not even buying a trusted account, to dupe you into believing I'm somebody else.

I'm Anon, and getting banned for posting my thoughts. Creating thousands of useless accounts is not against the forum policy, and neither is scamming Smiley

I have nothing to say to you. Theymos needs to take a look at this! That's why this forum is quite vulnerable for scamming till now!

If I were him (theymos) I'd make sure:

  • No two accounts are made from the same IP address.

  • VPN/TOR browsing is fully restricted.

  • If an account is suddenly logged in via a different IP, make sure that owner verifies his account from his verified E-mail address or get banned within 1 hour.

(P.S. I'm not being sarcastic here)
615  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 05:49:58 PM
I personally believe any of you who have information of this man and are withholding or are trying to sell the info are no better than the scammer. It like youre saying hey you morons just lost a boatload of cash but lose a little more n help me out n ill give you his info. Very sad that the community doesnt come together to help one another. Shows how selfish this whole community actually is and how pathietic ppl really are

True! I wouldn't think twice before revealing his DOX if I had known him earlier.

TECSHARE, this is not the way to earn money. No-one will buy his DOX. This isn't a business here.
616  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 05:43:58 PM

You mean... You did everything the confirmed escrow scammer suggested, and still got surprise buttsecsed?! Roll Eyes

Color me surprised! Cheesy

Who are you really? master-p 2 ? Roll Eyes

P.S. This is what happens when a user is given the freedom to create 1000s of accounts with one IP address. PATHETIC! Undecided
617  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 05:39:53 PM
Can someone please PM me the "proof" that master-p was sold in mid-August? I can keep it confidential if necessary.

No need to keep it confidential Quickseller. It should be known by everyone here. Otherwise how can we be sure that he is telling the truth or lying that he actually sold his account?
618  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 05:32:39 PM

(P.S. I have Master-P's real dox for sale to the highest bidder, PM me. Sorry Master-P, hard times, need the money Wink )

I suggest you to reveal his DOX publicly in case he doesn't contact his man and clear the commotion. Since he had done a big deal with that guy I'm pretty sure he has his contacts.

I don't feel any sympathy for guys who just try to evade his faults only by saying sorry. Even though he didn't scam the escrows, he is directly responsible for all this.  Angry What if he had informed a staff earlier to monitor on his new owner's activities?
619  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 05:24:15 PM
there is a separate tx, i sold the account for about 2 btc which was a great deal for me at the time. I don't believe in borrowing, especially not from this community. I never ventured into those lending sections.

I knew the risks when I sold the account but at the time my life was at a more dire situation so I didn't take much time to think. He was also very convincing in telling me he wanted to continue the escrow service using my identity and reputation, and that he had no intentions of scamming. Without knowing his actual/original account on bitcointalk, I knew I couldn't trust his word here for sure but I guess I took the risk anyway. When I sold the account I was only holding about 5-6 BTC in total in escrow.

Sorry guys, I wish I could do more but I don't even come on here anymore nowadays. Some people here still have me on steam. I did some deals where the new owner of the account forwarded to me simply to keep the persona without it having it figured out by the community that the account was sold.

A big part of the deal was that I did my best to keep the sale private, much like any of my other account escrows I've performed for the community in the past. I thought that was fair so kept my mouth shut and played along.

Sure, I suppose people here can blame me, believe me or not believe me, at this point I can't do much. I knew showing up here would probably only make things worse for myself but I can't really care too much right now. Think and believe what you will. My apologies again everyone, I won't be back.

Best case scenario the guy comes back and returns all the BTC, right? Based on what I've gathered reading this thread the coins don't seem to have been spent, yet.

Hey man! This is not at all a way of getting away by simply letting everyone know that you have sold your account. Since you didn't feel the right to tell anyone, at least you should have privately told any staff members so that he can restrict the new user's escrow management. (like accepting no more than 2 escrows at a time) This might eventually lead him not to turn into a scummy mindset today, after receiving so much funds.

To me, you have done a heinous crime and saying sorry isn't the ultimate solution to this. If you have faith in yourself, then you must at least try to send the funds back to everyone (not by tomorrow, you may take your time) who used your escrow service without knowing it's actually you, even if that guy haven't spent any coins. (he might want to hoard them for years until we forget this incident and then might spend it) Otherwise you are similar to Tradefortress! Undecided
620  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 04:17:11 PM

Not escrowing is not a solution either. When we can't trust escrow, there is no reason to trust campaign managers either. We should find a way in between.I have few suggestions, will post them at proper section

Good point here. I think, from now on, the campaign manager, the escrow provider as well as the owner of that site should start storing funds in a multi-sig wallet where if anyone goes AWOL, two others can simply approve themselves and send the funds out to the participants. Although it's a tedious process, it'll possibly be the perfect process for running a secure signature campaign.
