621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ### A ChainWorks Industries (CWI) Project - SweepStakeCoin | Fast Fun Secure on: November 08, 2017, 05:42:21 PM
In my opinion, the big block is just fool's gold. It's attractive only if you plan to dump the coin as soon as you get (now) 7 or so millions of sweep. The way I see it, it's not helping keeping the price stable. Whoever wants to invest in this coin just don't want to see it falling into an abyss because someone got the big stake.
And besides as I said the only attractiveness I see, is the fact you can dig the big stake and then forget about the coin.
I don't think the Jackpot coin is still alive.
The problem is that now with 7 GPUs I mine ~15-20% of net hashrate. That means that there are no more than 10 people mining it at all.
It's some kind of sweepstake lovers club. Grin
The coin will just die without some marketing or renewal. It's sad.

That all aside and back to SWEEP, we are considering shifting it's focus off the sweep and onto another niche. Will see how that goes. If you have a concern about that, or have a suggestion, please voice it. If it is unfounded drivel, it will be deleted. I shall be more vigilant with such things in future.

In my humble opinion jackpot feature is one that make this coin different from others. There are a lot of gamblers, actually most of miners could be called "gamblers" at some degree. Anyway it is something different from airdrops and masternodes that are popular today. Why not to realize it and advertize - it will attract people i think.

Talking about marketcap. Coin should suggest something to be adopted and used by masses. There are thousands of coins and 99% of them do nothing - just blowing the bubble.
Speed, security, anonymity, liquidity and real life payments are required. If the coin has it all - then it is a matter of marketing, awareness and time. Some features increase this awareness - jackpot should be one of them.

P.S. What about the difference in hashrate? Any thoughts.

I always wondered why the big prize has been thrown there (and TOR... ? What's good for? In practice I mean...). There are already GOZZILLIONS of this sweepstakecoins, even if the big stake is working and you can get 10 millions sweep, it's not helping the final price vs. bitcoin. It's just pushing toward the value of a cryptopenny. Or even less, like a decimal of satoshi.
2Bl coins is not too much. There are a lot of coins that has 10+ times more. Verge for example, but it still cost 100+satoshi and not 1 as SWEEP. And also thousands BTC of daytrade.
The SweepStake feature is just one thing that makes this coin different and could make it attractive to people - there are a lot of people who play lotteries. But we have what we have.
Actually I don't know what's the problem with TOR. SWEEP wallet works perfectly. It is one of the most stable that I have. For example one of the worst is TZC wallet that crashes blockchain file(or index) each time after improper reboot and doesn't recover it. I always need to delete all files and to sync it again.
Another bad example is Smart wallet - you'll need a lot of time to force to sync it.

I don't know what can bring sweep to life.

Anyone know why there is a difference in hashrate reported by miner when miming to pool vs solo?
My 1060 makes stable 21.3Mh/s to pool. But the same cards show only ~18-19 when mining on local wallet and they greatly fluctuates from 14 to 20.

So, Monday airdrop became Tuesday airdrop, but Tuesday is almost over and still no airdrop. Wednesday/... airdrop?
Not good at all.  Sad
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZERO - fork of Zcash with harder mining params on: November 07, 2017, 04:49:09 PM
Hi friends, i'm using nvidia 8Gb and optiminer version 1.2.0 running on windows, at first it runs smoothly but miner always crashes after few minutes. I've tried to set the intensity, even the underclock setting, and the temperature is maintained. Is there any solution for setting?
It is only one way to have less crashes:
Start 1 miner for 2 cards. Then usually it will be capable to make 1000-2000shares before crash.

NovaExchange is reasonable, but are shutting down, whereas coinexchange.io seems to be running ok also, though it too (like CoinsMarkets) is a low volume Exchange.
Your info is old. Coinexchange.io has +/- the same volume as cryptopia both are ~45-55 rank on coinsmarketcap with 5-6M af day volume
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZERO - fork of Zcash with harder mining params on: November 07, 2017, 11:49:36 AM
I have stated this in the past but since there are over 60 pages i don't expect someone to read them all

In Linux the optiminer-zero miner works PERFECTLY for NVIDIA's
PERFECTLY = Stable without even a reboot for the past month in at least 1070's and 1080's

Only in Windows, only Nvidia cards and only if you use more than 2 GPU's it crashes.
In Linux it just works.
1) You know the word "only" is not the case in this sutuation. Majority uses windows and nvidia also (amd mine ETH). So the correct is that miner works with nvidia "only" in linux.
2) The same about "only if". The miner work with 1070+ on windows "only if" you have no more than two of them. It also doesn't work in windows on 1060/6Gb at all.
3) Yes it is 60 pages already and 10 months of existance but still no normal windows nvidia miner. It's sad.

ZERO is even on WTM but still no good nvidia miner. Devs maybe you pay some minerdev for it if you can't do it by yourself?
Don't you think the coin will get more popularity if it can be mined by greens?

I think it would be usefull to publish total number of BTX to be airdropped (remaining) with nice picture and a slogan like:
"Hurry up to take your part!"

Does anyone get monday's airdrop already?
Nope. Usually it should be 1-2 hours ago.

+1 for this,thinks that 1080 have the best w/h ratio,for example 520 sols at 130w...
The best h/w ratio reward usually goes to 1080 ti cards. I'd say that regular 1080 cards get the close 2nd place. Here's a new 1080 I just got a couple of days ago, running in a test rig:

Not bad, but you could do a bit better with 1080 ti.
Hmm. Very interested In your settings. 140w with 580sols is very very good for 1080.

Hi all,

I have some rigs, which are configed to mine Vsync (VSX) at http://www.zpool.ca
The technical problem occured when the pool automatically changed the coin I mined from VSX to BSD or AMS, as you can see there
https://imgur.com/a/CWBF0
What happened with Zpool? It looks very weird. Any explanation will be highly appreciated!
You don't understand how pools like zpool work. You mine coin selected by the pool - what is most profitable. Then it is converted to the coin which you set in password parameter.. The problem is that you don't know how much zpool will take during convertion. And also if you selected least profitable coin than it may take some time for the pool to mine it. So your payment will be delayed.

I think you've missed my question.

What exact procedure of terminating nist5 network will be?
Someone should mine till the end. But how he will receive the coins from the pool after last block is mined and send those coins to swap address if the network will be shut down?
You  be not  able to swap the unpaid miner rewards.
Its your choice to keep mining to support network even when you know that you might miss the swap.

Ok. But it also means that if everyone leave nist5 earlier the network will stop before the last checkpoint.
For example if I send last coins to swap address on 05.12 23:50 - and noone mine - then what?
But the same time - while wallets are running than - POS should work and transaction will take place, or not?

I was suprised that the price of Doubloon plummeted to the 10 satoshi range just now as I am looking at it on coinmarketcap. Went ahead and got back to the main thread only to find the sad news nova exchange will close. Does anybody know why Nova is closing soon?
All altcoin bleed these days, even alts with billions in market share, why would BOAT be any different? Bitcoin has a bull run but it will run out of steam soon and markets will adjust.
Not all.

You have time till 6 December to swap your Nist5 coins through our website: https://solaris.swapyourcoins.today

Thank you for your support!

What exact procudure will it be?
