621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you choose between wallet or exchange ? on: April 13, 2018, 05:14:09 PM
what do you use wallet or exchange for?  Do you want to trade or hold ?
If you hold on a mid term or trade, you should use exchange. And hold your coin for security, you should use hardware wallet.

It's perfectly fine to keep small amount on exchange for short term but if you're planning to hold for longer than a month, you should transfer it to your wallet and keep it somewhere safe where no one can access it but you.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Industries that Blockchain technology will influence? on: April 13, 2018, 05:07:36 PM
Tell me which industries you think are most likely to implement blockchain technology, and how it may improve how users view / use the industry?

One of the important industries and financial sectors that will be impacted by the blockchain technology is the banking industry. The banking industry is mostly into payment services which the blockchain is attached to.

Yes. Financial sector is one the major one that will get impacted by blockchain. They've already began using blockchain in their system. Other than that I think anything that has to do with finance such as healthcare, insurance, real estate
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange KuCoin and KuCoin shares on: April 12, 2018, 04:24:48 PM
I had high hopes for kucoin but it has been extremely slow for me lately. Takes forever to load up the page let alone transferring alts.  Undecided
624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $ 91,000 by 2020? on: April 11, 2018, 03:32:35 PM
I believe that Bitcoin price will easily overpass $100,000 key level until 2020. There are around 2 years left. Bitcoin will moon again and I believe many strong fundamental coins will follow it like STRAT,LTC,ETH and I think coins with actual business use-cases will have a fruitful growth period this year. The corporates and enteprises word is beginning to use the blockchain technology. Watch the news! Wink

I think so too. Currently market is being affected by lot of fud and regulation that's going around. Once it settles down nothing can stop these fundamental coins from going sky high and then some more. I wonder why he said 91k and not 100k  Smiley
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is officially dead on: April 11, 2018, 03:30:01 PM
We have seen ETH going up and down so many time. Now do you think ETH is officially dead, why do you think so?

If it's still holding 2nd position in coinmarket after being dead then I think all alts should die like eth  Cheesy. It's anything but dead. market is low for all alts not just eth
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best Social Media for promoting an ICO ? on: April 11, 2018, 03:27:27 PM
I wouldn't call this forum social media, but there are 1 million plus crypto enthusiasts here.
So I'd say bitcointalk is the best platform for a crypto project.

exactly. I think forums are best social media when it comes to any niche. You can use twitter as well since most forum members have it.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give up DASH ? on: April 07, 2018, 02:49:03 PM
I hold DASH from last year and don't want hold it anymore.
What coin would you think I can change it to?
I'm considering BCH BTM, how do you think?

Ethere would be my second option if I was you. BCH doesn't seem to be holding tight and it won't be a wise investment. You can go with ada, powr as well but they're newer than eth.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: James Altucher’s 10 predictions about the future of cryptocurrencies on: April 07, 2018, 05:32:55 AM
What may confront the cryptocurrency market in the future? Will it be accepted as a major payment method? Here are some predictions of James Altucher, a CNBC analyst :
1. At least one country's currency is likely to fail soon — likely Argentina or Venezuela. This will lead to mass adoption of bitcoin among that populace. That will in turn lead to bitcoin rising by more than $50,000 when it happens.
2. Mainstream banks will accept bitcoin, and will start offering storage and software access. They will also create cryptocurrency derivatives — as the CME is about to start doing.
3. Despite the optimism, there will be a massive wipeout, and 95 percent of the alt-coins out there will go away — just like the dot-com bust. The surviving coins will go up a ton. This will happen within next four-six months.
4. The U.S. government will secretly start accumulating one of the smaller cryptocurrencies to make it easier for gray-area transactions with other countries. This has already started happening but will really start to ramp up in 2018.
5. China will invest heavily in another cryptocurrency, but probably not bitcoin. China will want to have a cryptocurrency that is competitive with bitcoin, but under its centralized control. This will, in general, provide legitimacy to all cryptocurrencies.
6. One big problem with cryptocurrencies now is their volatility. At least one — basecoin — will likely dramatically reduce that in 2018.
7. More companies will pay freelancers with crypto, which will lead to calls for tax reform. There will need to be greater regressive sales taxes, which will ultimately require government cuts and eventually less power for national governments. This is a long-term prediction.
8. In the same way the internet changed the monopolistic phone industry, crypto will change the monopolization of government-backed money.
9. A new government organization will be created to analyze regulation on cryptocurrencies. This will, ironically, lead to a huge upswing in bitcoin and coins that provide actual utility.
10. Thousands of crypto companies will be created and go public, but only a few will be massive successes.

not a big fan of Altucher but those predictions are pretty positive and I do agree with some of them as they are already happening. Bankers will try to come up with their own crypto to beat bitcoin but that will fail.
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dual security system on MEW on: April 07, 2018, 05:24:55 AM
is there any way to safeguard system on MEW besides Private Key? I am afraid of phishing on MEW

as someone mentioned you should bookmark the website once you're on it to avoid phishing. Always type the address instead of googling mew.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich with crypto? on: April 05, 2018, 12:34:20 PM
Hello guys,

here i want to start a discussion about the possibility of getting rich with cryptos. if you start off with an amount of lets say max. 1k i dont think so. If we say you are able to invest like 10-100k you can still earn alot of money but in this case you are already very wealthy. Here is no enough space below this post to either say "Hey man you got it right" or just prove me wrong. leeeeeeeeeeeeets go  Wink

of course but only in long term. You won't see much profit if you day trade unless you invest large chunk of money in crypto. If one of these cheap coins hit big like eth, many will be richer.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy TRON or ETH? on: April 05, 2018, 12:29:30 PM
If i'm looking to make my first crypto purchase, which one would you suggest buying and why? I love ETH because it's established but still not as expensive as BTC, but I also am hearing about TRX (TRON) nonstop...

If lets say I have $500 to start with, what should I buy and why?

You should buy 1 ETH and invest the rest in Tron. ETH is going to rise back up as we can see market has started to show improvement. Tron can easily reach $1 in the near future so you should have it as back up. Always diversify.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin is most likely to be implemented on a large scale? on: April 04, 2018, 01:13:00 PM
I know btc and eth, but ripple, neo, trox is centralized scam project,What is left?

what makes you think they're scam project? not a fan of any of them but just curious to see if you got any proof. I think cardano and iota are big ones as someone has mentioned. They're different tech than eth and btc  so we can see them doing well in coming years.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market is GREEN - Do you trust it on: April 03, 2018, 04:12:27 PM
Do you think the market will stay green or turn red?

It not an easy call

I say green

as I have mentioned earlier. Market has entered recovery and we can expect it to go greener from here on. As people start getting their tax refund we'll see even more green. hoping it'll hit 20k again
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Watch out, livecoin is a scam! on: April 03, 2018, 04:10:44 PM
sorry to hear that buddy but it would be better if you post some kind of proof with such threads so other people can better assist you with your issue.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumor in April Fools' Day on: March 31, 2018, 12:49:43 PM
Does anyone think of that in April Fools' Day, we have so much rumor in social network and newspaper about btc or crypto to raise prices and get started bull run market. Or we have many FUD to push prices down. In my opinion, we have some good news (there are also fake and real) to make the market grow again

I do not think April fools day will effect bitcoin price at all since people are already getting used to fud. I think April will be a great month for bitcoin and it should finally start its bullish trend that'll go on for months.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $250 billion rebound on: March 30, 2018, 04:19:01 PM
So I'm speculating on things here, but why not..
I'm viewing this current phase as a clean up of shit coins in the market, many of the useless alts are being killed, but if I look at some of the low value projects which offer a lot they are holding strong in sat value, I think the whole idea of this down shift is to basically weed out the garbage and open the whole market back up again where the good projects will regain momentum.

I'm not sure where this bottom is, but I think $200-250 billion isn't a bad spot if we predict a longer term 800 billion to 1 trillion market, call me optimistic Wink

We are now sitting at 256 billion as I write this thread, in the past I've noticed the market turn once it hits total highs then rebound once it hits total lows, does any one else have this view or a similar one about this being a clean up process? If this is the case, I think looking at total market value could give an indicator of when things may turn again.

not a bad way to look at it but I don't think it's happening to kill alts as they will rise again once market is little more stable. This has more to do with fud and all other rumors.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am surprised !!! I am confused what is happening right now. on: March 30, 2018, 04:15:23 PM
Crypto is being attacked by every big power who sees it as a threat to their system but it has only been four months. You should give it more time. Remember it was bull market for almost a year before fud started its fruition but it'll all be over.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time to experience bear market in crypto getting worried my portfolio on: March 30, 2018, 04:12:21 PM
Hello every one i just joined last august 2017 and during those time almost all coins are going upward bitcoin lead the way for a record breaking run up but after that bullish market we are here right now where bearish market hurting our portfolio i almost lost 2/3 of my investment but still i keep holding and confident that anytime soon  bearish market is over and bullish market will take place again. would you think this bearish season will take longer?

You should never invest what you can't afford to lose. Crypto is very volatile as we all know. I think bearish market is almost over give or take another month but be careful with your money as its still risky.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange Coinbase Interested To Support ERC20 Ethereum Token on: March 29, 2018, 12:33:14 PM
We can easily find the coins they will probably list, I can give you key words, ''good team'' ''regulated'' and big projects, don't expect them to list little ordinary projects this year.

Yes most definitely. They will only add coins that have great track record and fully regulated. I expect they'll only add few tokens from my list.
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An 11 year old kid just launched his ICO on: March 29, 2018, 12:30:06 PM

Amazing how an 11 year old kid knows better about crypto.

George Weiksner, at his age, the young kid already launched his own ICO. It is called Pocketful of Quarters.

Pocketful of Quarters is the universal cryptocurrency for games.

Pocketful of Quarters hopes to solve an issue many gamers face where unused and unwanted coins can’t be transferred to other gaming platforms to play different games. Weiksner aims to design a platform that unlocks coins that are “stuck” in games that gamers no longer want to play.

This kid is just genius to know things about crypto.

What are your thoughts to this?

Check out the video and full details on the link provided.

that is the most interesting thing I've ever heard in my entire life. This kid is a role model for kids these days who spend too much of their time playing video games. I think that idea is rather redundant but hopefully he can build something huge from it in coming years.
