The  0.11.0.0 Helium Hydra GUI for GNU/Linux, 64bit and 32bit, Microsoft Windows 64bit and Mac OS X 64bit are now available for download. https://getmonero.org/downloads/

great, just downloaded and want to run the GUI, but it all the time gives me an error cause it can not connect with local node ... something goes bad loading the monerod... tried it on another pc , in another netwerk and same issue. Could somebody help?

The GUI binaries aren't finalized yet. The download page still states GUI Beta 2.

PSA: Users, (solo)miners, exchanges/merchants/services, and pool operators must be on CLI v0.11.0.0 or GUI v0.11.0.0 in advance of the scheduled protocol upgrade otherwise you will get booted off the network. Miners, please contact your pool operator to ask them if they have upgraded!

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/6yuv2s/psa_users_solominers_exchangesmerchantsservices/

When the upgrade has to be done?

If the upgrade is not done, the wallet will just not sync?

I just has to replace the old files with the new ones? No need to start the sync from beginning?

1. Before approximately the 15th of September.

2. Correct

3. Yes or create a new directory and copy over the wallet files.

4. No, the daemon will pick up the sync where it left off.

I succesfuly sent 18 million XMR today

This is a known bug if you are using a relatively old wallet cache.

How do I fix it?
EDIT:
Attempting this
https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/3122/how-do-i-delete-the-wallet-cache/3123

Thought it worked, but submitting 2 tx files I had results in
http://prntscr.com/gilzbo

And the other one

Can't submit transaction: transaction <5ebbe59977bfadd50669a7349c98c1bfb3310f0e615acc1c11e6a4d5429d0f60> was rejected by daemon with status: Failed. Reason: double spend

Are you using a local daemon / node or a remote node?

Hey guys any news when the lightweight monero wallet will come out? I have heard that it will come soon.  I would need a date or an estimation?

You can download the official GUI and subsequently apply this guide:

What a run the last year from 0,50$ to 100$. And this is still the beginning.
If you've been one of those who participated in this run all the way from $0,50 to $100 it may be a good idea to secure some profits at $100+ prices and hold some additional BTC Smiley

Good point about securing your crypto profits, does anyone know of a hardware wallet that holds Monero ie: Trezor or Nano Ledger?

Until hardware wallets are are ready you might consider paper wallets using moneroaddress.org.

There are guides how to do this safely in a few places.

@inspiredinvestor, you can use either of these guides:

Seems Monero will see some magical months now. So many things lined up till Christmas.

Agreed a hardware wallet opens XMR to a totally new class of high net worth investor.

This is fucking huge.

indeed this is huge, but is there a time frame? days , weeks , months ?

No timeframe but I'd be surprised if it was much before December.

In their previous update they stated that there would be an alpha by the end of September.

I've been wanting to give Monero a try for a long time but I have an issue - I need a good Electrum-like "light wallet", I can't download a large blockchain and I refuse to use web wallets. Is there any choice for me? Thanks in advance

hi anybody knows if i can transfer monero folder from c to d? without any problem? my blockchain file is too big now

You can copy it to another drive and subsequently point the daemon to it using the --data-dir flag. See:

Why it takes 12 hours running monerod with xmr client only synchronized 2 days from 12 days behind to 10 days left. These days the transactions are huge, does it occur the same issue as bitcoin when large transactions occur, the network jams?

Please try this if your sync is particularly slow:
