Today I received your mail with three empty bags and three "what is monero" cut outs. So confused, but thanks anyways...Hard to be too upset since you were so generous with this free giveaway, but I can't believe that all three would have been taken in transit without breaking the envelope seal. Just glad I opted for the DIY version!
The plastic poly bags were empty?

until now no reply email to the certainty of delivery. Nowhere did I say I would reply to emails for requests. My Orignal post outlines this very clearly. There is no certainty, only an attempt to get as many coins to as many different people as possible at 0 cost to them. Please keep in mind this is a cost-free giveaway to those requesting the coin.

Still nothing. Same here. Haven't receive my free Monero Brass Coin yet but I have a feeling that it will be arriving this week. :p. (Or maybe my local postal service missed mine. .)Depending upon when the request was sent it may still be in my backlog. As specified there is no timeframe on when it will ship or arrive. It should get there eventually barring it doesn't get lost in the mail etc.

Got mine too awhile back (sorry for delay posting)... very cool Smoothie, much appreciated.
P.S. {Edit} Pics Or It Didn't Happen LOL
P.P.S. By the way, what's the translation of the Hawaiian words around the edge of the coin...?
It means "private, decentralized, electronic".

In 2017, monero will surely beat ethereum and climb to number two on the charts...
It'll be the cash to btc's bank account. Slightly more ambitious than LTC. With an actual mission bigger than no 2 IMHO MONERO - The Cash To Bitcoin's Bank Account

lol No. You flip flop more than local Hawaiian footwear.

Any updates to the protocol scheduled for the next hard fork ? RingCT ?
RingCT is already in the code and active on the public testnet. It is scheduled to go live on the main net with the next hard fork. Looks like primer bought back in.

did you know that 38% of americans could not point to england on a global map?
LOL bruv, I'll whup yer arse in a geography (or Doctor Who) pub quiz, anytime, any place, and in any state of inebriation. Did you know the population of the US is measured in the 100s of millions? Did you know that "more is different?" Did you know we Yanks (respecting our English heritage) politely refer to that low-information 38% as the "legacy of slavery?" Would you believe I can do a passable Northern (Manchester/Scottish) brogue, Celtic (Welsh/Irish) lilt, and London Cockney? And I've never spend more than a few hours mucking about Old Blighty, while on layover at Heathrow. Could you match my range of American accents, which ranges from Deep Southern to (all regions of) Texan, to Californian TV English? Naw princess, you could never. So rest assured our top 62% is >> than your 100%. Great trolling though. Keep up the good work, especially on the Dash thread! Man, your arrogance is a perfect example of the stereotype many foreigners stereotype about us Americans. Nice job, pal. And you know what? American's in general actually don't know jack about what's happening in the world, or even in the States. Don't worry, we know YOU know everything...so I hope you don't take offense personally. Funny how an offhand remark can lead to such. You americans are so prissy and defensive nowadays! Don't worry though, you can watch Game Of Thrones while your government tears up the constitution. On a related note, do you all think it is a good, or bad thing that a businessman has been able to buy the presidency of your country? Trump winning(!)has made your country a joke in the eyes of the rest of the world. My american friends, you with a brain, you must revolt. What else? EDIT: being a multi-talent, my portfolio of passable american accents includes (but isn't limited to), noo yawk, deep south, valley girl (I like doing that one) and minnesotan. BTW there's no such thing as a manchester/scottish brogue. Completely different parts of the UK. Just so you know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQsJ8XNlxmwFunny how my response to an off-hand remark proving the ignorance of your comment and having you respond with "you're moot" instead of an intelligent response ....

Did I read that right?
You are auctioning all 10 coins in a single auction with a single possible winner?

Guys, I might have to become a criminal soon, so may be forced to buy XMR.
Ooh, that sounds exciting! Lost the Walmart job, then? I'm english kurious, so no. On a related note, did you know that 38% of americans could not point to england on a global map? Likely the same amount of English could not point on an unlabeled map where the state of Wisconsin was without cheating. The U.S. Has 50 states so much more than a single country on the map. Your point is moot. It's shrunk so much that no one even cares where it is. California has almost the same GDP, really england is a non-entity to the world and not deserving of the time spent to write this post. You limeys can enjoy your new laws of saving everyone's browsing history for a decade. I'm sure that will work out well. BTW Smoothie, I took a pic with the XMR coin you sent as a card protector and the damn phone didn't save it! Take another pic! =) Texas hold 'em?

Is there still coins available?
yes. There is a back log of them to go out yet. No specified timeline on shipping. "Soon" is the best way to describe it. Damn, I just discover this thread. 1000 coins is an epic giveaway. Nevermind the shipping time, but do you know (roughly) how many of them have been claimed / how many still available? Is it first come - first serve, or do you prioritise by country (lower shipping cost)? Are you seriously funding this yourself, or is it some wider XMR community promo project? There are still giveaway coins available. It is a first come first serve basis. Once they run out I will announce it here and change the title of the thread and OP to indicate it in big bold RED letters. It is purely funded (the project, not any digital value in the coins) by me solely.

The collection looks great! And for future reference, the "Chris" + smiley face autograph is from The Bitcoin Penny Co. Regards, Chris EDIT: Maybe someone who recognizes all the signatures can edit the photo to add labels, as in this quick example. That would surely help me to know which stickers go on which pages. Just a thought. It's pretty impressive that out of all of these signatures, I have the shitiest handwriting of them all. I mean no offense by this, but the fact that I can't decipher which label is yours may in fact support your thesis.

I'm with you on being bearish on Bitcoin. Even though it might go up in the next year or two, I can't stand using it. I transferred some BTC from Polo to Circle pay today and it took over 2.5 hours for it to show up in my Circle account. There is no way that will be adopted mainstream if that continues to be the case. We want instant gratification, and results.
With that said, how quickly does XMR transactions settle? I'm bullish on it from a trading perspective but don't have good technical comprehension of the specs.
Since the Monero network is far less secure than Bitcoin's, you must wait proportionally longer for the same degree of confirmation reliability (ie irreversibility) . Let's very generously assume Monero has 10% of Bitcoin's blockchain security/immutability (best way to measure the different PoW is probably by how much electricity each consumes). 6 confirmations are recommended for Bitcoin so at 10 minutes each that's 1 hour. Now multiply that by 10 to account for Monero's relative strength, and we get 6 hours. That number is way out. Monero network is less secure then Bitcoin, but is also less worth so attacking it would bring less profit and is less likely to be attacked. 6 bitcoin confirmations is quite a bit. I think 4 are more then enough. One Monero block takes 2 minutes so in 40 minutes that Bitcoin should have 4 confirmations, Monero will have 20. So basically there is a ratio of "attack-ability" to "reward". The cost and reward of attacking. But there also exists some who may not want a reward monetarily from attacking say Monero. The reward may come from devaluing another crypto because of its "insecurity" in network hash by attacking it purely to create short-term chaos. Direct and indirect "rewards" exist.

The targeted victims don't really know even what Bitcoin is. Monero popularity still has to grow a lot until it can reach the point ransomware will ask XMR instead of BTC. The targeted victims don't know what Monero is either. Those hackers will smarten up over time. Just a matter of when.
