621  Other / Off-topic / Re: Soon we would not need banks on: September 20, 2018, 03:54:29 PM
No. I'm of the opinion that banks still play an integrate part in the financial system of every economy. Without banks, the economy can't normally operate. The function of crypto isn't the same as that of banks. Banks make capital move from surplus to deficit, cryptos can't do that.

Siding your point, banks do play a vital and financial role in the system of economy.

Though evidently true that bitcoin can operate without a bank in between, banks will be around until unless governments decides to accept bitcoin  as a legal tender with full backing of the governing authorities.

Additionaly, as long as the government is happy with the centralized power banks gave them, i think banks are here to stay. And we too can expect that a year from now, we will start seeing banks embrace cryptocurrency too.
622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: September 20, 2018, 03:41:05 PM
many people think that bitcoin is the digital gold, but it is totally different, between bitcoin and gold, from the physic until the purpose of the creation so i think people can't think that bticoin is liek the gold or other thing that have the physic form

Well, it is not really about the physiques that made people compare bitcoin with gold, rather, their innate attributes that where put in comparison according to similarity.

There are three reasons why people came up with the idea of bitcoin being a digital gold.

First, both are being mined. Unearthing is part of the process and miners are important for both bitcoin and gold.

Secondly, supply of both is limited. There is only so much of bitcoin and gold circulating in the market.

And third, both are trusted by investors adding value to its face.

So, the comparison was not due to physique but rather, according to their innate attributes as investing instruments.
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Switzerland a cryptocurrency heaven? on: September 19, 2018, 03:32:33 PM
Is Switzerland a cryptocurrency heaven?
The Swiss have embraced innovation of digital money and cleared its path to cut into volatile central bank controlled fiat currency markets, while also reducing fees and improving security on the technology.Looks like a heaven for cryptocurrencies.

First off, the initiative to a bitcoin-like financial system in Switzerland was voted down. It did not push through although it was able to gain 500,000 votes in totality.  It could have been really a breath taking moment for cryptocurrency world if this initiative pushed through.

Yet, i could never discount the possibility of Switzerland being the haven of cryptocurrency as they have the Crypto Valley located in the city of Zug accepting bitcoin as payment for certain municipality services. Here we see how their government is open towards embracing bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why shouldn’t we be concerned? on: September 19, 2018, 03:23:00 PM
Why shouldn’t we be concerned? Seems like everyone on here is extremely confident will see a bounce back to the December highs and then surpass them, but this dip/crash is now 5 months long. So I’m curious as to why so many of you are confident?

It is not that people here are not concerned. Of course we are. Our hearts break everytime bitcoin takes a dip and our confidence shaken too. But when one found himself in a pool of information, knowledge and market studies, that confidence bounces back.

The difference perhaps is that many of us have confidence backed with analysis and historical data of our favored cryptocurrency. And numbers do not lie, that's why probability is always a mathematical calculation. I can not speak for others, but my stay with bitcoin was never leaned on sheer luck but analysis and continuous following of bitcoin's progress.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL CONDEMNING BITCOINS on: September 19, 2018, 03:08:39 PM
BItcoin is getting better and popular. As a matter of fact, so many gaint companies and industries are chipping in bitcoin and its activities into the operation.
It might interest you note than Mercedes Benz, BMW, Samsung, TECHNO and APPLE are all accepting bitcoins for their products.

Bitcoin is growing stronger, lets forget about the red on the market. WE WILL SEE GREEN SOON AND IT WILL BE ALL SMILES.

Bitcoin is indeed getting more popular by the day, yet popularity does not equate to market strength. But is a good indicator of a probable increase in trading, investment and other payment activities.

As to big companies that you cited already accepting bitcoins, i'm not entirely sure if it is true. Article/Links can help clarify that, kindly share with us here.
626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This will be the answer. I have a Question. Manipulation?? on: September 19, 2018, 02:58:21 PM
Hello everyone.
This topic is about finding the real answer, the fully TRUE.
it`s real?   Are the big guys now playing with the market cap as they wish?
I mean, since Mt.Gox there some suspicious theories.
Now, With this amazing and not so understandable Pump in December and a so low market since then.

I too heard theories like this where big whales are blamed for manipulating the market. However, I have my own theory because I fail to understand this game. Lets assume, you hold 1000 bitcoins and you are an active trader. If the bitcoin price increases, your net worth will increase. If it decreases, your net worth will be decreased. So, as a whale how would you want the price to be decreased? No one has given me a justified answer to this. Fake order volume is happening across the exchanges, but why as a whale, I will want the price to be decreased? It will be affecting my net worth. I fail to understand this mentality.

Quote
Are we getting another pump very soon? or it is over?
Last days we have been greens in the markets, that's is nice for some people definitely.
Are we bouncing to +20K this time?
It is somehow similar to last year this dates...

No one knows it for sure. Everyone can speculate only and can't tell you the fate of the market in any way. If someone is saying that market will bounce back to 20k level by the end of the year, ask proof of that claim and that person will fall silent! So use your own brain and monitor the market trends very closely. That's the only thing we, as a common people can do!

I too agree with your views. I also find it hard to assume that price manipulation can be effectively executed. Besides the lowering of a whales net asset, how sure are they that they could actually buy what they sell? When active traders are present round the clock, waiting for a sell that is lower than the market price? The conspiracy theory of whale manipulating the price is quite convincing on some aspect but the technicality involved in such activities is beyond me really.

Besides, are we not simply fooling ourselves being in an economy that can be manipulated by the so-called whales should the matter be true?
627  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Has Been Quietly Bullish Since $5700 on: September 19, 2018, 02:31:02 PM
First off, i think a bullish season could never be quiet. It's impossible for the general community not to notice should bitcoin be bullish. It will surely create noise.

Secondly, regarding the most awaited ETF by many, it's not that Bitcoin won't gain its momentum without it but it will surely help boost the market in a shorter period of time since an approved bitcoin etf will signal more trust and confidence among investors.

Third, yes, we will soon see an US SEC approved bitcoin etf. They already acknowledge bitcoin's value but is just concerned on security and the possibility of price manipulation. Should any Bitcoin ETF proposals tackle this major concern of SEC, then a Bitcoin ETF will definitely be approved.
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can too many Altcoin's can become a threat to bitcoin's existence on: September 19, 2018, 02:16:55 PM

Bitcoin has to think about the ways to compete more rigorously. in the future if Bitcoin wants to survive, it needs to Offer something more.

I do think that bitcoin will continue to innovate itself over time. A revolutionary technology as such is bound to outdo its current features to survive. And i think the forks that occurred, both hard and soft, is a clear indicator that bitcoin is not resting its laurels.

Bitcoin will surely continue to improve itself to keep the edge against all other cryptocurrency out there.
629  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree with me ? on: September 19, 2018, 01:54:38 PM
no i disagree because so far all the things that were actually launched based on blockchain technology have mostly been hot air and was done for fundraising purposes not to use the benefits of the blockchain technology or even to improve it in any way.

not to mention that bitcoin has nothing to do with any of these! bitcoin is just a currency, it is not creating any market or anything like job.

I think there exist an indirect market job with the rise of bitcoin leading the cryptocurrency economy. We saw exchanges sprout here and there and that alone entails employing IT related activities. Even the simplest form of marketing online creates job opportunities that are not limited to IT alone.

And as the blockchain technology gathers snowballing interests, job opportunities are surely on its way. Add to that the growing innovation ICOs are bringing on the table. In a few years time, there will be more need for blockchain technology experts.
630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you reccomend family and friends to join the market when it's crashing? on: September 19, 2018, 11:45:12 AM
I think it is not worth investing when the price falls. It is very risky and you can lose your money and put the pig to friends and family.

Truly, it would be difficult to reel in family and friends to be investing in the market as the prices keep dipping. Yet again, if they have enough money to afford a substantial loss then don't forget that investors find the current market situation a good time to invest.

Since the economy dictates that current prices are of bearish season, good profits are surely to come once the season goes bullish. And this scenario you can try to explain to your well off family and friends as an investing opportunity. But it would be wise not to coerce them.
631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you think of currency what will come to your mind? on: September 19, 2018, 11:08:19 AM

When I think currency, it always come to mind is
" Money" . A money that i need to give a comfortable life to my family and to be debt free. And I can see in cryptocurrency that will help to achieve it . I only have to be patient and work smart.

Truly, currency is a system of money for a particular country that could be used to live a life debt free. But as to comfort, that is always debatable.

Luxury, yes, but remember that comfort will always depend on a person's perception. Of course, many would say it's better to cry on a mercedez benz rather on a bicycle, yet a water bed does not guarantee you sleep.

And as per your view on cryptocurrency, do not wait too long for the perfect time, be part of the crypto economy activities, it will guarantee stable prices if not a peak of another all time high. Here, you can apply working smart.
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand on: September 19, 2018, 10:42:15 AM
Yeah. when I was a beginner in the crypto-currency world, many concepts were incomprehensible to me.  even after 2 years, some technical aspects of the blockchain work are also difficult to understand. but I read a lot of literature and everything becomes clearer.

And that is the key to learning gracer. To admit that something such as cryptocurrency is really difficult to understand (which it is really). Even to the technologically trained mind, understanding cryptocurrency will indeed take much time and effort. To learn what blocks are, what is a peer to peer concensus, what are hashes, what's a private key and many more proved to be a non-overnight matter to digest.

There's not even a single explanation as to why cryptocurrency was invented that can be easily understood by people with no crypto background.

Yet, the process of learning becomes more effective when one empties their cup and concedes that they do not know anything but is willing to learn and understand.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NO! Do Not Invest all you have on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies on: September 14, 2018, 12:08:05 AM
Truly, these people are remarkable, investing all they have (and some even invest what is not theirs or borrowed so to say).

But one really had to draw the line between courage and foolishness when it comes to investing. As many would say, success comes with risks. So to be courageous is an additive that is needed blended well in our investment plans. Yet, the courage must be wise in nature. Without proper assessment, study and clear realization of one's financial capacity, that courage simply transates to foolishness.

It may look like that cryptocurrency merely relies on season and luck but in truth, it is not the case. Depending on sheer luck will be the worst investing plan of all.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just got a little extra money and want to invest in crypto, should I? on: September 14, 2018, 12:01:21 AM
First off, it is nice to note that the amount you have at hand for investment is an extra money. This is the wisest part of any investment. Risking and depending on sheer luck to hit it big using loaned money usually ends up tragic most of the times especially considering that price volatility of cryptocurrency is high.

As to which crypto to invest in? I'd say take advantage of the bearish season we are in. Take out the Top 50 altcoins from coinmarketcap, and spread your investment. Put some money on the top 10 and take two or three of your best pick from the bottom 25. I think that will be a good plan. It might not burst as high as bitcoin did but you will surely gain profit once the market goes bullish.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Determination is power on: September 13, 2018, 05:00:25 PM
I think that there is no arguing  when you said Determination is Power.

As determination is just as relevant as patience. Should one of us decides otherwise, then life might have been saved.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The era of bounty hunter comes to an edd? on: September 13, 2018, 04:55:10 PM
It wouldn't really matter shoud the era of bounty hunters come to an end. For sure the crypto industry will find another way to facitlitate the same activities that of a bounty hunter and participants.

And as early as now, there's really no telling when bounty campaigns had to go.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can something free be a scam? on: September 13, 2018, 04:52:41 PM
If you think that handing out personal information or related account details is not a scam, then think again.

You see, there exist a lot of driving force to promote a crypto related project and among them is gathering real world identities as a possible compliance to regulatory laws. And most of the times, ICOs pay for this. So if you signed up with them and did not receive any payment even after a KYC, then it is only right for them to 1) Pay you what is due or 2) Be wise to accept what happened and move on to the next phase.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: False fear about BITCOIN. on: September 13, 2018, 04:46:34 PM
well, i think you are trying to point out price manipulation when you mentioned a large sum of bitcoin being purchased and dumped in a short period. And indeed, no one wants that. And as a side note, the bitcoin etf has been pending till now due to unregulated decision price manipulation.

Though there are no substantial amount of proof, the possibility of price manipulation is somehow undeniable. And this is among the false fear that is circulation around.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust Factors in Bitcoin on: September 13, 2018, 04:42:52 PM
Actually, it is trust that gives bitcoin its value. But don't fret, it is the same for any other investing instrument or valuable assets.

See, fiat currency are mere paper bills that are printed by the central banks. How come those paper holds value? Trust is the answer. Otherwise, these paper bills remain to be paper alone.

But with the central bank dictating that these paper bills are trustworthy enough to be accepted as payment, then none could really argue once that trust is laid upon paper bills or coins.

And the same applies to bitcoin, every piece of bitcoin is trust driven.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin as a practical currency? on: September 13, 2018, 04:36:58 PM

Some users lack the infrastructure required to use bitcoin
Some users lack the knowledge required to use bitcoin

Infrastructure is really a big word. I think it would be more apt to say that some user does not have access to use bitcoin.

Bitcoin resides online on the internet should one wish to make use of it. Bitcoin being digital in nature requires a user to have an internet connection. But nowadays, there are only few places that remains out of reach by internet service providers. So in totality, internet to access bitcoin is not an issue.

The lack of knowledge regarding bitcoin is not really the issue here, rather, the inability to comprehend the whats and the hows of bitcoin is the major challenge. Truth in fact, setting up bitcoin wallets is as easy as 1-2-3 for grade five students.

Thus, i do believe that you can use bitcoin as a practical currency, provided that you exert a bit more effort unto that.
