Have anyone managed to make CDM with new Dagger-Hashimoto algo on Nicehash? Could you share the config or bat file?

What coins is this algo for?
I tried to search for it, but was only able to find Ethereum based coins (and Ethereum is not using pure dagger-hashimoto afaik)

This is mainly for the Ethereum based coins. It can also co mine other coin, called Decred. It is all in the OP.

I was asking about dagger-hashimoto on nicehash. They already have ethereum algo so this is confusing.

Could someone please post 390 wattage mining ETH only / dual with DCR? (stock and undervolted would be best)
ETH only: 235W
Dual: 275W
Both undervolted

Thanks!
Think I will buy more 380 then.

This guy may know what is the status of invisibel https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=185981 (Mystphysx)

If you are planning any TIPS changes then please ditch the variable block reward, best to stick to something static.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: June 07, 2016, 09:14:35 PM
Reading more and more press teases that Polaris will be a really positive surprise.
Hope this will reflect in mining as well.

Also makes you wonder why 1080 is stock overclocked to the limit?
Some reviewers only squeezed 20Mhz out of core for non-reference cards Tongue
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 07, 2016, 07:41:19 PM
@Claymore can you explain this?
I have a radeon 380 4gb on a windows 7 x64 running 15.12 drivers and running CDM 4.5 that is undervolted -100mv, core clock at 840, memory clock at 1125, and power limit -20% for days using sapphire trixx. And it hashes at a stable 19~ MH/s constantly and never above 20 MH/s.
I then decided to change the memory clock recently to 1500 just to see if it makes any difference on trixx and pressed apply, and let it run for couple of minutes, but the hash rate barely changed or any change at all. So i changed the memory clock back down to 1125 and press apply, and now the hashrate is hashing at a stable 20~ MH/s.
I am clueless of why setting the memory clock from 1125 to 1500 and then back down to 1125 would increase the reported hashrate in CDM. Any thoughts?

I have no ideas, sorry.

No worries, thought I ask since I can reproduce this result everytime, so now I have to go through this exact pattern everytime I run CDM to get that extra 1 MH/s.

Can someone run the same settings to see if they get the same outcome? Wonder if it's CDM related.

First, let it run with undervolted -100mv, core clock at 840, memory clock at 1125, and power limit -20%. then once you see the reported hashrate, changed the memory clock to 1500 and apply, then after you see the reported hashrate again, changed the memory clock back down to 1125 and press apply. That's when I then see the increased 1 MH/s everytime.

Edit: @restless I am using sapphire trixx

It's not CDM related, read here https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/comment/39962/#Comment_39962      It's a problem with 380's

How is that related to what pikachuy is reporting? He says that the hashrate goes up AFTER you downclock again to 1125.
Btw I can confirm this as well, pretty weird... got gigabyte 380 on samsung chips

@pikachuy dont trust gpu-z readings for core wattage, they are wrong.
For me the operation didnt change gpu-z wattage readings (they are still at 60W) and readings from meters suggest around 140W per card.

The calculators assume 100% block reward @ 5 Ethers and doesn't count for uncle blocks (which can be as low as 1.25 Ethers) and orphans, and to not forget the pool fee and your miner efficiency. Having 90% of the calculated reward is a great result in my opinion.

Edit: BTW, the weighted average of uncles in the network is between 7-10 %

My calc allows to customize both block reward and pool fee, link in the footer Smiley

I agree though that ETH calc results are generally below average. I tend to put in 10% pool fee when doing calculations for it.

Been mining @ dwarfpool for some months now, looking at 24hr earnings getting 1.3 eth per/day with 200mhs. Where as calculator says i should mine 1.9 eth/day now I know calculators aren't entirely accurate but this seems too large a variance. I know from mining stats that I have virtually 0 rejects, the dwarfpool sever is very close ~ 70ms average ping. So I wish to find a pool that has fairer payout, for the moment I am trying solo but worried that 200Mh/s is not enough to solo with the current diff. So if anyone can list their fav pool for me to try I'd appreciate that.

Is dwarf reporting 200Mh? I had 90+% of what calculator offers with CDM, so i guess something else is wrong. I tried several pools but not much difference to tell which pays best.

Yes dwarfpool reports 200Mh/s on average sometimes less sometimes more but on average i'm satisfied its reporting correct hashrate, as i mentioned earlier I have next to 0 rejects certainly under 5 rejects in a whole week. I'd be happy with 90% of what calculator shows but i'm getting ~ 70% and rejected shares is playing no part in this.

200Mhash indeed calculates to around 1,9 at todays diff.
I am mining at dwarf myself and seeing 90%+ of amount calculated. (0.69ETH/Day @78Mhash vs 0.75 calculated)
I am also producing 125-150 shares per hour.
1% claymore + 1% dwarf fee, leaves 6% that are just on pool luck side.

Something must be off, could you link your dwarf stats?

What was the procedure for facebook and twitter bounties?
I have joined both like a week ago, but didnt send any emails or anything.

Updated default Asic values to match Antminer S7.
This will change soon though, cause S9 already got announced.

Is it still possible to join the signature campaign?

Nope. Applying for twitter and facebook is also closed now.

Newsletter available still.

Applying? I was under the impression that a simple like / follow would be enough?

Yeah and 1070 looks like a 980 in terms of TDP.
Not sure it will gain much by overclocking either.
From what I have seen in games, it feels like Maxwell in 14nm.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.4 (Windows/Linux) on: May 27, 2016, 09:24:04 AM
What also changed is that the miner started showing GPU temp, which it never does otherwise.

Not sure how this would fix itself in the middle of mining, but sounds like drivers issue.
It can also happen if you start your rig without monitor plugged in into any of the radeons.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.4 (Windows/Linux) on: May 27, 2016, 06:31:37 AM
I finally got my voltmeter and took some measurements.  My rig:
H81 PRO BTC
2x 1k watt EVGA Supernova PSUs
4x 390x
2x 280x
tiny intel cpu Cheesy

I configured my gpus with
  • 1x 390x + 2x 280x + MB on 1st PSU
  • 3x 390x on 2nd PSU

Using Add2PSU to connect the 2.

Using dual mode mining at stock speeds, I'm pulling ~1040 watts from first PSU and ~1100 watts from 2nd PSU

Is that safe to do? I didn't know a 1000 watt PSU could pull more than that.

PSUs are able to deliver more wattage in peaks, but not at constant load.
I would buy a proper wattage meter and check then.
I dont think that your readings are correct, your mining would not be stable with this kind of load.

900W on each is certainly doable with your setup and I would not stress the PSUs more than that.
Undervolt if possible, it can do miracles.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: May 26, 2016, 01:53:06 PM
Paper launch is NOT "available" - though NVidia paper-launching the GTX 1080 less than a month before actual availability (presuming they meed the announced May 27 "available for sale" date) was semi-impressive.

I agree, I only wanted to point out that we will know by 1st of June for sure Smiley
I have a feeling that top Polaris will still outperform 390x. Hoping for a nice 480x.

According to the following link, "480x" is just 5% faster than the 390x.

http://videocardz.com/60253/amd-radeon-r9-480-3dmark11-benchmarks

Yep already seen those and pretty much what I have expected.
I have a hunch that polaris will be more energy efficient - and still 480x is not the same level as 1070, more like 1060.
Also wondering about the OC capabilities. Clock is much lower than on 1070, doubt they will give 1060 1,26Ghz core.

Sounds like a patch is needed ineed.
Guess you have tried to change voltage with forcing `-P 3`, even if not listed by default?

Undervolt by 100mV and enjoy -10 temps Wink
It works on Windows. But I even asked here if someone managed to undervolt on Linux (w/o BIOS mod) and got no replies. I can reflash BIOS, and even did that. By default these 7970s have 1.256V max, and I patched in 1.100. It worked on Linux, crashed on miner start on Windows (did not use serialised init). With 1.150 they were stable. Still, I wish I find a way to undervolt them on Linux w/o BIOS mod, I don't believe there is no such tool, I just need to find it.

Ah didnt realize you were on linux.
Have you tried? https://github.com/mjmvisser/adl3
