641  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: November 13, 2014, 06:52:17 PM
Huobi reports $467 currently while Bitstamp is below at $442. Here is the one-day resolution chart of Bitstamp prices showing the rally approaching the $470 level where I drew the resistance trend line down from the November 2013 peak. We are looking for a breakthrough to the upside past $470, which would indicate a strong rally.

...or not.

Has Evan even said whether or not the instantx code would be opensourced? I guess my stance is, if it is open sourced, why couldn't BTC add it being that they do have bitnodes across their network? What makes instantx unable to be used in bitcoin besides bitcoin needing to fork? I realize it's based on masternodes, but if the code could be used in bitcoin's bitnodes, what stops btc from having it? Just want to hear the logic behind it because it's singlehandedly one of the most valuable things DRK has.

Because you can run million BTC nodes with zero coins, so your chances of double spending are actually realistic.

Basically this. The only reason any of it works is because nodes require money to exist. For BTC or any alt to implement that would require a hard fork.

is drk the only open source anon altcoin so far?

Besides all the CN coins, yeah.

Hey darkbros so now with this hard fork fiasco how hard do you think DRK price is going to drop? I already got burned buying at the top .0082 (I know I'm an idiot) so I am sincerely asking you people who have made enough money that you don't have any motives for others to buy, or are a genuinely good person. I'm thinking 0.004 in a few weeks time right after the issues get fixed?

Thanks y'all.

but i can't give you any specific number out of my ass

Why not? I can, here:

DRK will go to 0.00537000 BTC before recovering.

Whew, that wasn't so hard!

You deserve no attention from this community, you putrid troll !!

There is an ignore feature available.  Perhaps you should use it.  Wink

Then you wouldn't feel compelled to clutter the Darkcoin thread with personal attacks.

Have a nice day.

This new "rise above" persona really cracks me up.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 11, 2014, 04:28:21 PM
This isn't the area for this post, but since I put my XMR address here yesterday I'm hoping to find a specific person...

Yesterday/today someone sent me what I would be consider to be a very large amount of coins to just giveaway. If you sent me greater than 30 XMR recently can you please post or PM me your XMR address AND how many coins you sent me (proof it was you). I'm going to conduct my first send transaction and I may as well send some of your coins back to you Smiley

By the way, super THANKS for all that XMR. I hate to admit this, but that XMR "tip" just doubled my current XMR investment as I learn how it all works Cheesy

I would really like to know who sent me the huge amount of Monero, at the very least let me thank you! PM's are fine if you want to remain semi-anon.

If they gave them to you, they are probably reading this thread. Wink

You could evangelize 3-5 people outside of crypto and donate some to them (web wallet will be much better for new people).

Extraordinary announcement of Noble Promotion outside the normal schedule A.D. 1462

Karl Hungus is promoted Baron. "Lord Karl has taken a role of an economic engine in our growing city, and we raise him to nobility to acknowledge his position."

Mr. Luigi Romano is promoted Baron. "Lord Luigi's stone dealership has greatly helped in the smooth development, furthermore he made a daring and expensive land grab in the most central area of the town, purchasing the land facing the Town Hall over the New Liberty Street for 750 million."

Both were already awarded "King's Favor" Badge last year. Now they receive 100 gold + are entitled to a haw as well as other Nobles.

Lord Marquess Joseph of New Liberty has been Knighted in the Ancient Order of the King (AOK-K). This honor is given only to the most outstanding pillars of the gameplay, and has been awarded only once before (The (now) Bishop in A.D. 1434). The chain weighs 100 gold.

Lord Luigi is most grateful for HM's gracious promotion!

Edit: Lord Luigi is also extremely impressed with how much land Lord K.H. has managed to acquire!

LTC under 0.01  Grin Grin

Why are you guys so focused on other coins?  The price of Litecoin has nothing to do with DRK.  You guys are to worried about other coins, analyzing charts, etc..  You all should know by now that the price of Litecoin and those charts are meaningless.  Focus on the technical aspects and adoption of Darkcoin.  Anything else is just a waste of time.

Don't you dare lessons to anyone in this thread. Please Angry

Remember we know you. We are here from the beginning. And still watching.

I was here from the beginning as well and I'm not giving lessons.  If you don't want to read what I post then I suggest you put me on ignore and stop spamming the thread please.

Thank You

I have to say, I'm impressed how well you've kept your composure since this "transformation". The "old" you would have blown stuff like this into a giant flame war in nothing flat.

And he could turn back into that again anytime. I quick perusal through his history details the amount of extreme FUD he launched against DRK only a couple of months back, the likelihood he's done much damage to DRK in other threads too and the use of sock-puppet fake accounts to spread even more FUD indicates he's clearly not to be trusted. This period of relative reasonableness is possibly part of a very long process to regain trust and then the monster will re-emerge. I always like to see the best in people and that reformers are trying to make a fresh start and realise their innate goodness, but one needs to be realistic too, leopards don't change their spots. Be very very wary.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending him, merely observing. From the response I've seen so far, I'd say the community isn't "falling for it", whatever that means. I'm not sure what harm is to come from him "regaining trust" anyway. You state that it's likely he's "done much damage", so why wouldn't we enjoy this period where he appears to NOT be on an anti-DRK rampage, rather than encouraging and/or provoking him to return to such?

For me, it's not about trusting him (he's a random person on the internet, after all), but rather having my eyes wide open and being fully persuaded that the situation we find ourselves in today is much preferable to the "old" one.

Masternode limit?

I seem to have missed that piece of info - is there a cap to the maximum number of the masternodes?

Coin supply divided by 1000 rounded down to the nearest whole number.

Hmm... this can't be good? What am I missing? Let's for the sake of argument, imagine that ALL coins are locked in masternodes. What's the application of the coins in the world? How to calculate the value if no coins are available for normal people?

It's economics, man. Your scenario has approximately a 0% chance of occurring.

Thank you.

bid 8 million for F3  and 8 million for F4

Earl Joseph of New Liberty bids 10 million moneritos each for F3 and F4 with the intention to have these be gardens, thus also improving the value and views of F5 and F6.

Shhh, don't tell 'em!
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SCAM] BLOCKNET: The Metcalf/Prom Alt-Coin Cartel Scam Exposed on: October 31, 2014, 02:49:54 PM
Not sure if anyone notices the main issue here:

Probably half the features on these coins (if not more), and atleast half the coins alltogether are the work of Dan M. and you are basically paying him a few thousand BTC's to link these coins together to share the work that has been already done.

Instead of being a honest dev and making 1 ultimate coin/project he made several coins that have been pumped and dumped under his name. And now they are linked together for a huge ICO?

I hate to fud but what the actuall fuck is this?

FUUUUUD

Every single coin in the Blocknet has been chosen for its genuine innovation.

Some are very small, but carefully chosen nonetheless.

Butthurt because you went all-in?

Screaming FUD won't help you here kid, I am not a fresh 0 activity account.

lol, you have no idea who Illodin is, do you?

The sarcasm is so obvious, it's dripping.

Can it be closed at 18:00 GMT ?

Wish granted.

Old Town lots 1-C-F3, F4, F5, F6 (4 lots)

See the online City Map and Land Registry for details of the lots, including the building restrictions.

Each lot is bid separately.

Starting bid is 8 million moneritos each, and minimum raise is 2 million.

Auction closes A.D. 1448 (2014-11-3 18:00 GMT), or 3 minutes after the last raise. (All close at the same time(!))

The winner has 72 hours to refund his account.

TY!+)
Please, post the link to "the online City Map and Land Registry".

WTF?

Vitalik Buterin of etherium is working with Promotheus scammer? XC is already dead. Time to dump ether as well, i guess.

Eh, read that whole thing. The (tiny) part about Vitalik seems like it could mean several different things.

Mr. Luigi Romano is pleased to announce, with his associate, Mr. binaryFate, that their newly established Stone Dealership is open for business!

We operate out of the basement of the Royal Palace (CK Character & Resources spreadsheet, tab "trade stone"). Please come see us if you need stone for building ventures or have stone that you feel could be better used by others.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: October 28, 2014, 10:27:37 PM
As Mr. Luigi always says, where there's a will, there's a way.

Let it here be known that Mr. Luigi is in one accord with HM regarding adequate stone reserves for market making purposes. Mr. Luigi recognizes that he has limited avenues to procure needed reserves, but that he would be seeking out (possibly undisclosed) arrangements with other, larger holders of stone and/or moneritos to fulfill reserve requirements. He further proposes that 250,000 stone be an acceptable initial reserve for the beginning of his market (approximately 12% of current total supply). His market charter would be suspended if he drops below 2.5% of total stone supply for more than a 10 year period (5 real days?) (Mr. Luigi is open to suggestions here as well).

Furthermore, Mr. Luigi feels it appropriate that he have a location for his market in F zone. He feels that the presently up-for-auction F1 block is not close enough to the "Giant Heap of Stone", but recognizes it could work in a pinch.

Mr. Luigi would accept the gift of 27,000 stone but would be most interested to hear what HM could offer regarding needed monerito reserves (Mr. Luigi recognizes that HM's monerito holdings are presently 0, but he is not sure why that is). Mr. Luigi suggests that, at a minimum, he be allowed to exchange 100 of his own CKG for moneritos at the King's Coinshop for 0% margin, giving him (presently) 23.8 million moneritos to add to his reserves. Mr. Luigi estimates that a significant stone supply/demand imbalance will exist for the foreseeable future, and therefore places less emphasis on monerito reserves than stone reserves.

Mr. Luigi will also respond here if/when he manages to obtain the proposed 250,000 initial reserve, of course still pending review and approval/changes/suggestions from HM.

His Majesty is very pleased of the determined approach of Mr. Luigi (and his possible associates).

We cannot comment on the technical signing of the contracts, the Town Registry can only contain parchment and stone slabs at present. Perhaps there is a need to appoint a public notary for such stuff, ...

We want to re-iterate our proposal as follows:

- 27,000 stone is immediately gifted from HM stoneary to Mr. Luigi;

- HM grants the new-built vacant basement shop from the Royal Palace (41 sqm in i8) for the headquarters and customer service of this operation, for free, until more massive quarters can be built by the operators;

- upon the 10th anniversary of the successful operation, Mr. Luigi is promoted Expert (L5);

- the trade of 100 gold for moneritos can be done on 5% margin;

- Mr. Luigi promises to make markets for stone so that:
  1) There is always both a buy and sell offer, which may not be more than 20% apart.
  2) The characters can access the market solely based on published prices, without needing to contact Mr. Luigi (contact administrator instead).
  3) One character may not purchase or sell more than 50,000 stone until giving Mr. Luigi the opportunity to update prices.
  4) Mr. Luigi may be contacted for larger quantities or special pricing.
  5) The King is not that interested in reserve requirements, because the whole lamentation was due to the stone not being used. As long as there remains stone to buy in the market, we are good.

Mr. Luigi and any future associates are grateful for HM the King's gracious proposal.

Mr. Luigi accepts the proposal as written above, and will:
1. discuss practical implementation with the administrator;
2. initiate and/or finalize needed contracts for stone and/or monerito supply;
3. accept the use of the vacant basement shop on a temporary basis;
4. accept HM's immediate gift of 27,000 stone;
5. request immediately for 100 50 CKG to be exchanged for moneritos at the going rate;
6. plan to be operational not later than 1446 (Friday, I think) (it appears Mr. Luigi may have fallen into a 2-year coma -- or I am out all day tomorrow -- so I will be getting everything together 1443-1446 (Thursday and Friday)).

On launch day, it is expected that there be some immediate price discovery. So the initial buyers and sellers may get great deals (or not) until volatility settles down.
