I assume you meant Sunday, June 16th? Smiley

Yes Sorry.

The auction is for four (4) chips only, isn't it?

Correct.

How much is going to be the cost of an assembled board (chip and heatsink installed)?

The cost specified above is for the fully functional miner including all components. You will have to supply your own power, however.

Please use bidding format n@x. This means if Joe wants to buy four chips for 10 coins each he will post "4@10"

Cheers,
Garrett

Hey all,

I've received 30 Avalon ASIC chips, and will be auctioning off four of them here.

These chips are not functional bitcoin miners. This auction is intended for developers seeking chips to test their designs with.

Terms:
I reserve the right to refuse any bid, or cancel the auction at any point before payment is made.
People trust me -- I've never used escrow before and am not going to start now.
Auction ends on Sunday, June 10th at 8:55 PM PST
If a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes of the auction, extend the auction duration by 2 minutes. (can occur repeatedly)

Bidding starts at 0BTC -- Please bid in 0.2BTC minimum increments.

Happy bidding!

--Garrett

Because of the reserve not being met previously, I am reopening the auction for 30 hours after the date of this post. Same rules apply as before, bidding starts at BTC7.

Go crazy!

Would you be willing to ship and purchased chips to another user in a different country? I've been looking into burnin's service in case your assembly plans fall through.

Yes, see the FAQ regarding changing your shipping address.

Update :: June 15th

Here's the post you've all been waiting for!

These last two weeks have been extremely busy. I've been working tirelessly with multiple board developers and producers, and finally have some firm numbers.

Initially, I am opting for the Klondike K16 boards. As you might infer from the name, these will house sixteen Avalon chips each, hashing at a rate of ~4.5gh/s. I am currently speaking with another board developer who will be selling overclockable boards, so we can get the most out of our chips!

Current board costs are tentatively set to $130 (but paid in equivalent BTC), and are subject to change depending on how many boards are ordered. If you order 20 or more boards, the cost will be $10 less per board.

Because of the extremely low order number of this batch, the price per chip has been moved to 0.1.

Best,
Garrett

Hey Garr255, If this question is too personal just tell me to mind my own business....

Are you up in profits even after 1 person defaulted? Or did that loss of 20 something Bitcoins essentially wipe out all the gains made with the other loans? I'm interested in the viability of loaning out money in small numbers, I did some calculations a long time ago that concluded you would need a huge critical mass of people using a lending service to dampen the effect of people defaulting on their loans, I recall needing around 50 - 100 successful loans to equal 1 or 2 bad defaults.

After that one default I'm hardly on top still, but I'm still positive and that's what counts Smiley

Cheers

I sent you a PM regarding a 3 BTC loan but don't have any reputation. But I am a long time member of this forum if that counts for anything.

^ No thank you

Unfortunately, the fact that bitcointalk accounts can be bought/traded so easily, means that your reputation may be in question.

^ Exactly

What's your policy on fluctuating bitcoin rates? I might be interested in a 6 BTC loan. You can check my kncminer threads for credibility.

I won't lend to someone who will be converting the loaned money to fiat, therefore do not offer any such thing.

Consider having your avaliable fund to be on Coin Lenders? so you can have some interest on those even if they arent loaned out

No thanks, I prefer to manage the funds myself.

654  Economy / Lending / Re: Have coins to lend! Available balance: 10btc on: June 12, 2013, 04:46:21 AM
I would like 1.5 BTC loan please. Need for 3 weeks.

You must have some reputation.
What would you do with no reputation? I am new and need to build reputation.

Excuse my loudness, but:

LOANS ARE NOT FOR BUILDING TRUST OR "REPUTATION"!

Most scammers start out with petty loans to build a false reputation.

Yup I've already begged them to do this... never a response out of them regarding it.

Good thing our order is pretty low!

They all think they're so clever, but to the trained eye you're already wearing a great big red scammer tag!
