642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: November 23, 2023, 04:23:52 PM
By that time, Bitcoin could be well around $100,000.
$100,000 is quite reasonable for the next ATH, considering that many experts predict more than that, $100,000 will be more expected and the market will be excited.

Every time the cycle increases it will always experience an increase of 2x more than the previous ATH so I think above $150,000 is still reasonable but we never know about the future and only look at historical history no more than that while for higher expectations it doesn't matter as long as we already have bitcoin in the bag then ready when the bullrun comes.

You're all having your various points, we almost have doubled the previous all time high for bitcoin at each bitcoin circle that follows after halving, there's more being said already about the bitcoin market price to hit over $100,000 after the next year halving, which is also seen to be very possible because of the bullrun, the demands will be high and the market price also goes up even though it's been characterized by high volatile market conditions throughout the whole period after halving,
643  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 23, 2023, 03:55:27 PM
Looking at the chart, it looks good and any drop as long as 31k - 32k holds and becomes new support should tell us that it could already be a bull market.

BTC has been fluctuating between 31K and 35K for more than a week. It does not appear that it will go above that price at this time, indicating that it has reached a new support level. Even if there is no massive bull run (say, +10,000 to the current price), the price is unlikely to fall below the new support it has formed. By the end of November, which is only two weeks away, I'm expecting a price of $40K+, which appears to be possible given current market trends.

With the way the bitcoin market have been recently going, it's likely possible that we shifted to receiving the month end between $36k to $39k by the end of this month, though anything can change that we have more other reasons to see the market pumps more or not, because this year altgrou is marked for rising and not falling in market price, all other days of this year will also signifies the rising of another move to $40,000 as we proceed towards the halving against next year.
644  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone just paid 83BTC for transaction fee, on: November 23, 2023, 03:08:06 PM
A transaction that was in block 818087 had actually paid a whopping sum of 83 bitcoins as the transaction fee. I would say this is a costly mistake but for someone having that huge amount of bitcoin in their possession I don’t get it. The transaction was first broadcasted with a fee of 70 bitcoins and then later was replaced with that of 83 bitcoin as fees.

Is this actually a mistake or being ignorant, even if he transaction being made is that huge, it shouldn't have occurred that one is paying this huge sum for making payments, I was shocked in the first place when i saw this, thinking that maybe it was $70 that was intended and not in btc, if this was actually true, then i also wonder how the fund in question was acquired, there's more to know about this incident.

My guess is the sender was probably trying to set is fee as 70 and 83Sats/vbyte and then mistakenly set out that high fee. The block was mined by Antpool, hopefully they would treat it as mistake and return the funds.

1. TXID for the 83 bitcoin fee: b5a2af5845a8d3796308ff9840e567b14cf6bb158ff26c999e6f9a1f5448f9aa

2. The replaced transaction ID: 0c35f3c8a0c38f45629940ee9ab2b1c93d408be113845a735043261ad20f3351

Advice to newbies check properly the amount your setting as fee and make sure you are looking at the right fees estimator, use wallets that allows bumping of fees in case you set a very low one

If from what you guess is right, then the sender is the one at fault from his mistake, we need to check ad always double check anything we are doing before making a confirmation for that.
645  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: BTC future discussion( based on halving ) on: November 23, 2023, 02:28:06 PM
Hello guys another post from your humble boy  Wink lol ....

My post today is based on future possibilities of BTC, no one can predict the future though but....
let's all have a look from this angle ,I have some few  topics (not really  a topic ) and I will want us to discuss with my opinion already added

Main:
halving value
Today some thoughts came to my mind that if btc is going to be halved every [Edit]4[Edit] years will it be in accordance to the magnitude of the halving comparing the digits because I believe at some point the value will be a minute valueat some point

The current halving
6.25 =>3.125
 Next
3.125 => 1.5625

Till ............ it will get to a point of 0.0.....

DISCUSSION:
at this point (0.0..) what happens to the value of BTC
According to Satoshi, when the miner reward gets to zero, miners will charge fees for their job. Obviously the fee will become higher at that point. This may not seem encouraging for Bitcoin but it is what it is. There has been a lot of discussions on whether high fees is the fate of Bitcoin... no conclusion have been drawn but it is looking likely.

When all blocks have been mined completely and minere were left with nothing, this is when they will have to depend on transaction fees to earn their reward, but by then, we are not sure if the transaction fee will be higher than ever or not, just as you can see now, miners are earning much now while every blocks aren't completely mined, ordinals is serving such opportunities for them to receive higher reward for transaction confirmations,

Question:
will the price value gain pump in accordanceto the halving value
From records,  every halving have always been followed by higher prices in accordance with simple law of demand and supply. So it is likely that price will pump following subsequent halving activities.

This is where most bitcoin investors targeted for their own reward because after every successful halving comes a bullrun, this is the major lifter of the crypto market price and bitcoin begins with that.

This was three days ago, sorry that I am lazy to update this in time. It was about important updates on reopening and payment procedures for Patricia customers.

Hello Patricians,

Relaunch and repayment begins today!

If you're a user of Patricia, I have an advise for you, try as much as possible to complyabd stay tuned to their repayment procedures to your funds but don't go for the other aspects which talks about it's relaunch because they will definitely use part of the new customers funds to clear all their outstandings from existing customers and you will also stay on the queue at the long run among those that will be later affected by either their policy or security challenge, take your money off centralized exchanges and be in custody of your financial assets, there's no assurance that this will not repeat itself and they won't had the highest blast next time.
647  Economy / Economics / Re: Insurance is important on: November 22, 2023, 03:04:48 PM
If we are given the opportunity, then we should also make use of it to insure ourselves and the properties we have, the general approach many have towards this is that they believe that those that should to on insurance should be those that have alot of properties assets because they will have the required financial stand to pay in for the service and also benefited from using it, but if there are low level insurance for the average individuals, then we can also go in for them and have ourselves insured together with our belongings.
648  Economy / Economics / Re: How come both the "gas" and "fee" prices shoot up without ETH and BTC move? on: November 22, 2023, 02:36:46 PM
Have anybody noticed the strange situation on the blockchain? Huh There's 9$ fee to send 0,9$ amount for both famous coins. How this could happen? Just take a look at the price - it hardly moved from the average!

I know of bitcoin network being currently congested but can't say about the ethereum network if this congestion has extended to them or not, in bitcoin we make use of transaction fee while in ither cryptocurrencies it's called gas fee, bitcoi netwo is not getting congested for the first time, ordinals is part of what is believed to have constitute to the congestion on the bitcoin network making it transaction fee higher because other services are taking advantage of the blockspace to serve their own purpose at the expense of the bitcoin users.

The Bitcoin Forum is a website meant to host free discussion of Bitcoin and related topics. It is operated as a service to the community, and all profit is reinvested into the forum and the community. It was started in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, the original creator of Bitcoin. It is now managed by Michael Marquardt (theymos), Martti Malmi (Sirius), and Stefan Thomas (justmoon). Donated funds are managed by theymos.

Base on this, there's nothing to argue anymore about the creator of bitcointalk, Satoshi Nakamoto created it and ever since it has been managed by the people in charge of it administration and everything is well explained through the link provided, it surprised me to see that alot of people have alre contributed this much to the donation of bitcoin to the forum, i never thought they were this much, they are part of the success to this forum.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An easy approach to Bitcoin on: November 22, 2023, 01:33:05 PM
Most people especially kids have heard about Bitcoin or crypto currency without really knowing what it is about or how it works.recently I came across a particular video which I found online.it was an animated video giving a very brief and basic knowledge about the concept of Bitcoin. It talked about why Bitcoin was created, how Blockchain works ,as well as mining.I saw it as a good approach to teaching young ones or even newbies

If you think teaching about bitcoin is like an hobby to you, the don't hesitate to take it further to the next level in helping others learn about bitcoin, both young and old, because it's something you already have passion for, but never forget that there will some some requirements and expectations that will be needed of you too to fulfill before embarking on this kind of decision, your level of knowledge about bitcoin must be stable and well balanced, then you must be busy willing to make sacrifice of your time including some financial obligations.

652  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Buy bitcoin before the halving on: November 22, 2023, 11:27:05 AM
If you can make it up to buy bitcoin and keep till halving, then do so and take advantage of the dip now because we are still far behind the ATH of $69,000 if you don't have the money to Invest then try as much as possible to earn bitcoin, work for people and organizations and get paid in this profitable cryptocurrency so that you can turn your money into an asset of investment which fiat cannot give or do, this next year halving is going to be a big hit because there's going to be a massive pump in market price on all cryptocurrencies Invested except for shitcoins.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Attacks that Have Been Reported Worldwide on: November 21, 2023, 04:56:27 PM
You have done a food job in bringing all these together, thanks for your time and efforts towards making it a good task and a weldone job.

If we are to go by this ones you've mentioned OP, they are only the ones being recognized for one reason or the other, maybe they are part of the greatest financial attack that involves a huge amount of money, i believe that there are many unreported ones that we don't even know about and that have happened and cost alot, but we are only privileged to see those majorly reported through the media.
654  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How feasible will it be for our government to invest in bitcoin? on: November 21, 2023, 04:01:09 PM
I thought about this recently when replying a post about the New Argentina president, since they are also in debt and we also, I brought it here.

We aren't sure on how the new Argentina President is going to go about bitcoin adoption and also it's debts overdues repayments and settlements, let's watch and see what their next move will look like concerning bitcoin, now regarding your country Nigeria, you need to wait first to see how the government and it new administrative will take a look on bitcoin and how it going to be fair with it adoption concerned it's citizens, if they government can allow for bitcoin and also make an investment and wait over time to see it making profits on investment, maybe such could be used in the settlements of its debts.
655  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What financial advice would you offer? on: November 21, 2023, 03:04:49 PM
Okay now, over to you. what financial advice would you offer?

My own financial advise i will like to give is that, it is not too late to start from somewhere, we should also have that determination of going for the best at all cost no matter the risk as long as it's deserving for it, in cryptocurrency, bitcoin should be your number one choice and know that going for anything other than this is at your own risk, life do presents us with opportunities to make a lifetime success and not only if we recognized such moments and make use of them before the time elapsed, such may never come again, we should not despise the day of little beginning, because a million miles start with a step.
656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to see the whale transaction? on: November 21, 2023, 02:19:18 PM
In some news, it is written that the whales of a coin or token have tried to sell or buy that coin or token, and in this way they recognize the time to buy or sell that coin or token. How can I see the transactions?
Follow those accounts and get alerts from them.
https://twitter.com/lookonchain
https://twitter.com/whale_alert

But I don't need those alerts and I advice you to do the same too. Because those transactions not actually always mean anything to predict the market and price. If you focus on those big transactions and make predictions, you will make wrong decisions.

Focus on fundamentals and invest long term, you don't need those whale alerts.

Exactly, I don't see more of people after this to seek for market price when there are other vital indication that could help predict rhe market trend on either bullish or bearish, this is more of what is expected of us to do than checking on the whales transaction alert which apparently has nothing to give or show us in knowing what bearing the market us taking, it's more about what we can discover and keep to ourselves than we see.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Why haven't the earliest participants sold their Bitcoin, and some haven't even on: November 21, 2023, 12:24:09 PM
"Why haven't the earliest participants sold their Bitcoin, and some haven't even touched the coins in their addresses, considering the high price of Bitcoin?"

They are holding for so many reasons that me be personal to them, as we all know, bitcoin investment is a profitable thing to do and holding it over time will help in making this happen, though most of them never know this that bitcoin would have reached this far in market price, they only hodl to have an asset that could help them fall back to in the future, we can also make our own personal decision on bitcoin Investment to buy now and hold for the future to come for our own era of opportunities with bitcoin when we hodl.
658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your solution to pay less Fee ? on: November 20, 2023, 09:39:26 PM
Hello dear members of BitcoinTalk

I do use Blockchain wallet to make Transaction as it has lower fee but recently the fees are very high
so i have to pay around 15-20$ per Transaction even if  i send 10 $

What is your solution to pay less Fee ?

First have a target on the use of the mempool to study the way the congestion was going with each transaction fee for every category, also try to make weekends transactions because the mempool is less congested sometimes during this period, make use of a free bitcoin mining pool to accelerate your transaction in other to make it faster, in doing this, the kind of wallet you must use has to be the type that supports RBF.

660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Massive influx of scammers activity during the bull season. on: November 20, 2023, 06:28:24 PM
For some reason I got this taught from a discussion I was partly involved in where the persons were all complaining on how they lost so much during the bull market and it made me wonder how possible is this if one should be able to avoid so many  factors that posses these results of losses.

It would be nice for the community to discuss how these period are so vital on profits and also how they can also be a hit by some these scammers that are fully active during this period due to same reason that everyone is always hyper in these period.

People made alot of mistakes during the bull season all because they think that such period os the only avenue for them to take advantage on the hype on most altcoins to invest in them, but things don't really work like that in most cases, those that do benefitted from bullrun are the earliest investors who had already invested during the bear market when the price was still dip, hodl and make profits during the bull season, now the market price is already high at bullrun.

If a newbie should buy at he rate then they must be willing to have enough patience to hold because the market was already high and next after that my comes in the bear market andthey begin to loose interest because they expect the market to keep going high but instead it's coming down, if you're investing, buy the dip ad hold, don't buy when the market pumps, except you're more ready to hold the more.
