641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this trading strategy profitable? on: September 08, 2017, 02:15:27 PM
Yes OP, this strategy is profitable; I would also want to add that before you buy a coin you might want to read it's whitepaper first, and then see for yourself if the price drop is due to correction or it might have been dumped for good. But I believe that all altcoins could be pumped anytime. I had earned a few decent amount with a coin called syndicate... I bought it at a very low price and kept it for a while. but again, CAVEAT!
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers are active these days. on: September 08, 2017, 09:52:25 AM
Some bitcoin users told me not to do transactions in these couple of days because hackers are active these days. I want to know is it true? or some kind of rumor? Anyone here who have faced such problem?
Black hackers are always there, they had never been inactive, my friend... you just might have been feeling their presence now because of your involvement in bitcoin. Fortunately, I haven't encountered any threat from those good old folks.

When you are sending bitcoin, always check the address after you copied and pasted it. (malware may interfere upon pressing ctrl+v); as much as possible, please avoid faucets because most of the time we encrypt malware in the ads and links within the faucet website.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 07, 2017, 04:41:36 PM
What If Bitcoin is banned in your country will you still use it?

If you use it how will you? How will you exchange it and how will you completely use it as you do before.
Man, that is scary huh! I don't know what will I do if bitcoin is banned. Right now my job pays bitcoins; I don't have any fiat income and I really like how it works for me. If let's say bitcoin will be banned from here but not in Japan, I'll probably find a way to exchange it with Japanese Yen and then exchange it to my local fiat. But man, that is so hassle for me... it would be easier to just go back to Japan though.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: September 06, 2017, 08:53:30 PM
I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?
That is a great idea, or you may also consider using billboards and hot media.

Have you noticed those tv commercials about playdoh and polly-pocket? Haven't you wonder why kids back in the 90s loved to collect those toys even though those toys are too tiny for their price? I guess that was the whole point of having a TV commercial; you will make the people want something that they do not currently need. Bitcoin is something that they do not need right now but for sure they would eventually want it once they have seen a mind-flipping commercial.
645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trade on: September 06, 2017, 05:46:42 PM
Where can i access trading tips for bitcoin buy, sell and hold accurately and timely?
You must be resourceful mi amigo... If you have a twitter account you may follow the wolf of poloniex. There are groups in telegram where they give you tips on which coin will be pumped next and you may get in position early before the pump starts. However, there is fee of course.

By the way, I can smell greed in your blood, my friend. You should learn how to deal with that as early as now. Don't expect trading as always winning because most of the time you will feel the defeat; especially if you are a beginner. Just a friendly advice, though.
646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stock market vs cryptocurrencies. What are the main differences? on: September 06, 2017, 04:33:43 PM
Hey everyone. I am quite new to the crypto market and I was wondering if I could get some guidelines about trading. I have been trading for quite a long time on the stock market and had moderate success. What are the main differences between trading crypocurrencies and stocks. From what I understand there is no downtaime in which the market is operating and also there is no supervising entity, that could interfere in the process of trading. Are there any other factors to be taken into consideration? Also, could anyone recommend a trading service with low transaction fees?
I had been trading stocks for the last decade and then decided to go full time in bitcoins. In the country where I am currently at, I had noticed that stock market crashes whenever the elections are coming (2007 and 2016), especially when the newly elected leader is making some goofy decisions (such as switching allies from America to China, vice versa). I want to give you an example where the government directly affects the price of a stock; in 2014 I have bought a few thousand shares of a nickel-mining company but unfortunately the government declares a nationwide ban for mining, therefore, that stock went down 50% and I have no choice but to cut-loss and move on. I also have a few shares of Casino stocks but 2 years ago, the government went rocky with the Chinese so that particular stock did not perform very well. I am still holding that stock though.

Now, with bitcoins and cryptocurrencies, the government doesn't have direct influence to it's price. You may also say that the community decides about the fate of it. Another great thing about cryptocurrency is it is not regulated by SEC. it is tax-free in my country too.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you explain Bitcoin or crypto to complete newcomer on: September 06, 2017, 02:12:02 PM
I encouraged my younger brother to use bitcoins and of course he doesn't know what I was talking about then, so I told him to download the wallet that I have been using and I have sent him a dollar worth of bitcoin. I told him to observe the fiat value of his bitcoin everyday; in that way he would be able to appreciate and kinetically learn how bitcoin works. Later on he bought bitcoins and he figured out other ways to earn it on his own.

I don't like the idea of spoon feeding by the way.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And We Are Back! on: September 06, 2017, 10:21:34 AM
Bitcoin is now officially bouncing back! After such a bloodbath that occurred right after Bitcoin has almost won over the $5,000 wall and triggered further by the China ICO ban effect, we can now see and see that Bitcoin is already back for good...and it is about to get over the $4,500 hurdle (again!).

As I am writing this thread, Bitcoin is hovering over the $4,400 range and I am hoping that tomorrow or the day after it can be able to ditched the $4,500 psychological barrier.

Slowly, we are hearing less of the many prophets of doom and gloom and I am expecting that soon we can instead be hearing more of press releases coming from the other side of the isle: the prophets of boom!

Do you think we can be able to be back at $4,900 within this week?
It is very hard to tell. And even if bitcoin will reach $4,900 we will not know how long will it stay on that support... I honestly don't want to see bitcoin below $4,300 because that causes panic to me and my friends. One thing is certain, bitcoin will be over $4,900 by december. If you would look at the chart you will notice that once the bitcoin bounces back from a tsunami, it surpasses the previous ATH. I am not a prophet though... CAVEAT.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: September 05, 2017, 04:45:21 PM
Hey Bitcoiners? I'm desperate to start earning BTC
I'll do any kind of online activity as long as there's a Bitcoin payment. Where do I start?
You may visit cryptogrind and look for a job there. Employers in that site offers bitcoin in exchange to your services... just be careful in transacting with untrusted users because I had encountered one and I haven't receive any payment until now.

You may also post in this forum; make an offer for your services, post it in the marketplace section. Just like other jobs, you must seek and apply for it.
650  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are bitcoins only for the educated and knowledgeable people only? on: September 05, 2017, 02:13:48 PM
For me, it isn't. We have different talent and knowledge on how we give and do stuff that we love. Bitcoins are for everyone and we have the chance to try or even have this to earn and save money for our future.

How about you guys? Is it only for the educated and knowledgeable people only?
Bitcoin could be for everyone same as with money (fiat); if you are referring to crypto-trading then that would be a totally different scene. People however must be knowledgeable with the technology for him not to lose bitcoins, and of course he must have access to it. Imagine how a poor man would get access to bitcoins if he doesn't have at least a mobile phone or internet access?

Therefore, there is no general answer to this question, mi amigo... people could be educated but not knowledgeable - or knowledgeable but not educated. Either could use bitcoins as long as they are willing to learn how to. I hope this makes sense.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: September 04, 2017, 05:23:48 PM
I think there is no risk in bitcoin investment. Because bitcoin price never decrease. So you can invest in bitcoin without any hesitation.
Seriously? There is no risk in bitcoin? Please stop this kind of trolling, bitcoin have been accused as a ponzi/scam because of troll posts such as yours. As bitcoin enthusiasts, we are responsible to spread knowledge about it including the risks involved in investing on it.

Now going back to the OP; I don't suggest that you buy 4 bitcoins at a time (however, your post was made in April so I guess you already did), instead you should cost average buying bitcoins. The risk will come from yourself when you sell in panic. Also, having 4BTCs need at least a hard wallet for storage - you should never put such amount in an online wallet.

In every investment there are risks, so do not put all your hard earned money in one platform. Diversify. CAVEAT.
652  Economy / Speculation / Re: why the dump ? on: September 04, 2017, 12:35:27 PM
hi guys anyone here  who knows why all altcoins are down?

anyone expecting bitcoin to hit 4k again?
Go to cointelegraph's website and you would find out something relevant to your question. I agree with the replies above mine, since ICOs are banned in China, people are selling their altcoins to fiat (not to btc because they had probably seen that btc is going low).

Regarding bitcoin hitting 4k; man, I don't know who's gonna love that... unless you are a newcomer and would like to enter bitcoin for the first time. So far it seems like there is a support @ 4,300 and resistance @ 4,700. Correct me if I am wrong.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2017, 12:13:05 PM
I was talking to a friend the other day and he told me that two of his friends has left their full-time employment to concentrate on their Bitcoin ventures. < One in Crypto currency trading and the other into imports & exports, linked to ecommerce >

How many people have done this already?
I do not actually consider myself as someone who left his full time employment over bitcoin, but I did leave my job because I find it practical to work from home instead of commuting for about a couple of hours a day.

Right now, my work is a freelance writer. I take jobs in exchange to bitcoins, I write articles, blogs, and I join signature campaigns. So maybe yes, I had left my full time job to go "indirectly" to bitcoin; and you may also want to consider me as a hardcore bitcoin enthusiast since I do not earn fiat for a while now.

In light of the fact that Bitcoin is still experimental and very volatile, would you say that this was a good or a bad decision and would you do the same?
You know mi amigo, each of us has a different punto de vista (point of view)... I didn't really care whether bitcoin is experimental or whatever, as long as I earn from it. There are lots of pros in bitcoin over paper money, but that would be off topic already. I would not recommend everyone to go full time in bitcoin. They must study the pros and cons first, and then they decide.
654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I cash out my BTC now? on: September 03, 2017, 10:56:25 AM
If you had your payment in BTC, would you cash out your money or you would wait increasing of cryptocurrency?
The best answer to your question is another question: what would you do with the money after you cash out your bitcoins?
You know my friend, if bitcoin is some kind of passive income to you then you should go ahead and cash it out asap. But if you think about bitcoin as a long term investment or you do believe that bitcoin will hit a $10,000 mark very soon, then I guess you know what to do.

In my case, I already left my day job because my previous work is kind of far away from my home. Right now I am focusing on bitcoin and working as a freelance blogger/writer in this forum and in cryptogrind. Basically, my salary is in BTC and I only spend it to pay bills, the rest were kept in my hard wallet to keep its fiat value increasing.
655  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for newbie on: September 03, 2017, 08:45:29 AM
I'm new in trader ! Any lesson or tips can you guys show me ! Bitcoin is increasing ! People told me to trade is the only way to make fast bitcoin ! Please help
Well, mi amigo... would you agree if I tell you that engineers are yet considered noobs even after they had finished college in 5 years? The only way for them to get in the real bizkneez is to gain humble experiences. Same thing applies to you, mi amigo... you must trade everyday and know what it feels like losing muchos dineros (money). Don't let your greedy ass swallow you. You said that you are a newbie, so do not rush getting bitcoins. Start with trading small money and be contented with small profits, then once you are confident enough with your trading skills, that is the time for you to trade bigtime.

You may get bunch of tips and tricks from here amigo but believe me, you do not need those at all. At the end of the day, your goal is different from their's.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: September 03, 2017, 07:21:52 AM
I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.
Seriously? What was your basis to say such things, bro? McAfee and Gates believed that bitcoin would hit bigtime in a few years from now, and here comes thesavoyard telling us otherwise... Bitcoins will always be the main thang! Ethereum could bring you huge profits in a short span of time but you wouldn't put your money there for long term. Ethereum is an altcoin; therefore it is only an alternative haven whenever bitcoin's price becomes steady. Once the bitcoin's price starts moving up again, altcoins including Ethereum will dump. CAVEAT.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: September 02, 2017, 12:45:04 PM
As we enter 2017, Bitcoin begins with a fresh start making it worth nearly $1000 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain.

Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017?

If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think?  Smiley

This post is nostalgic, bro... I can still remember back in February when everyone was waiting for the ETF announcement; those were the days that people are too skeptic to buy bitcoins @ $800, yeah including me. But right now that everyone seems to be confident with bitcoin, I am expecting for a $5000 mark before the end of the year; BUT WAIT THERES MORE! as I write this reply, bitcoin had reached $4800 early this morning.

I don't really want to hype, but I guess me and McAfee are on the same page. Let's say $10,000 by December, how was that?
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning enough with Bitcoin without Job ? on: September 01, 2017, 09:19:23 AM
Yes. It's been a while now since I got fed up with my day job. Now I have been working from home in this forum and with other freelance work in cryptogrind. So far so good.

The key is - do not spend on things that you don't really want/need; save your bitcoins and it will eventually increase in value. Your 0.006 salary for a week will double it's fiat value in a couple of months so you just have to hold on to it as much as you can. Spend money wisely and you wouldn't need a day job anymore.
659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: September 01, 2017, 06:47:12 AM
When do you decide to sell?
Is it a sat, a % of profit, or even a randomly thought up number in your head?
I am new to trading Crypto, but when I traded other stocks, I would aim for a certain percentage.
This seems much easier to hit that percentage, but much more risky.
How do you determine when to let it go?
When it comes to altcoins, 5% profit is good enough for me. I look for a coin that is sleeping for quite a while already and they I buy plenty of it... once it gets pumped, I wait for it to grow for about 5% and then I sell it without hesitation. Then I would look for another coin.

Now, when it comes to bitcoins, I do not sell unless I need money to pay bills.
660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to convert crypto to Cash? on: September 01, 2017, 06:36:48 AM
I am just beginning to trade and have gathered not so may coins, may I ask how I can convert my crypto coins to Cash?
You may do it the hard way such as posting an offer here in the forum and wait for somebody to buy your coins, or you may want to look for an available fiat/btc exchange in your country and exchange your bitcoins to cash. The second option is the easier.

Now I have a question, how did you even start trading without knowing your fiat gateway? I mean how did you get your bitcoins in the first place?
