First of all, welcome here in the forum. Since you are a Newbie and it seems like you really don't have any idea what world you are entering. About your question "What is blockchain".
Well according to Wikipedia, "blockchain" originally is from the word "block" and "chain" (obviously), is a continuously growing list of records which is called "blocks" which are linked and secured using cryptography. Blockchain was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto (the creator of BTCitcoin) back in 2008 for use in the cryptocurrency bitcoin, as its public transaction ledger.

663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when panicked? Check this out on: March 19, 2018, 09:14:07 AM
I agreed with your views. The motive behind these fuds is to make people panic and sell bitcoin at the low price. It is important to stay calm and hold on to bitcoin if we believe in the future of bitcoin.
Yuph, and people always fall easily to FUDs. They didn't even think that it is just a test if they are capable of holding their Bitcoins. Panicking will only result nothing but loss for sure, but why people can't even noticed that? It is a simple logic to be solve but it seems they're not even thinking of it. I know some people has their own will to what to do to their Bitcoins and some people has their own reason why they sell bitcoin although in a low price, but the people Im talking about here are those people who fear Bitcoin's low price. Sometimes not asking for help from other will only result negative/bad. They must ask for some tips to other members instead of Panicking.

sadly many peoples when it comes, they will panic selling their coins instead buy more dips.
seems like the fear is stronger than the will. if it keep continues, bitcoin price will going worse.
If this really continues, more people will suffer huge loss. And that is a bad news as I'm concerned to them.

I think there is a part on your post that should be corrected. You say:

Don't
BUY BITCOIN WILL LOW PRICE + PANIC + SELL BITCOIN WITH LOW PRICE = LOSS

I guess you wanted to say: Don't buy bitcoin with high price ... etc.

I must say that I like to trade, and I have a small bankroll for trading, but I also believe in bitcoin potential so I hold the majority of my coins. It's not much again, because I started quite late, and bitcoin was already expensive, which means that I'm actually losing a lot from my initial investment but I'm not willing to sell them, because i wish to use them in the future as a decentralized payment system.

Since you posted this in the bitcoin discussion board and not on the trading board, I will talk in a project perspective and not a trading perspective.
I think that you should actually advise people not to sell bitcoin, because in terms of fundamental analysis, bitcoin is actually improving, and this means that it's price should be going up and not down. Lighting network is near, regulation is actually being more friendly, so we are opening the road so that adoption can happen. From an investment point of view, bitcoin is better than ever, and should have a good future ahead. This means that buying bitcoin is probably a good investment. I know I believe in that, and for that reason I will keep buying every time I can.

You shouldn't really focus on price that much. The reason people panic sell, is because they have no idea on what are the fundamentals of bitcoin, and it's intrinsic value. This way all they get is it's price, and since it's coming down they fear it.
That is also right Mr. Bolt. But sometimes people Buy bitcoins with low price and sell it with lower price and that what makes them go home crying. Because it's totally a loss.

665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can i secure my blockchain wallets private keys on: March 19, 2018, 12:39:36 AM
I suggest you to visit this thread I made https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3092808.msg31919039#msg31919039 as I discussed here some information about different wallet and I also discussed some information about blockchain.info as well. Blockchain.info is a good wallet as it only requires a browser and a good Internet connection. But this wallet is still buggy, and not. Highly Recommended to use for storing coins in long terms if you don't have control to your private keys.

Well, talking about securing our private keys. I also discussed it in the thread provided by the link above. There are several ways how to secure your private keys.

1. By saving a copy of your private keys in a flashdrive.
2. By printing your private keys.
3. By saving a copy of your private keys in Google drive or other cloud storage (choose trusted cloud storage).  This is not actually recommended because if ever that your account has been compromised. There is a chance that people who stole it may also steal your Coins.
4. Or keep it somewhere else you think that is safe.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: March 19, 2018, 12:24:05 AM
Well its a big YES. Starting from $1000 back in 2009 to $10000 last year (2017) amazingly surprised me. It is not doubtful that Bitcoin rose from 1k to 10-11k USD in just 8 years gap. Yeah, it really took too long before it reached this amount but it's worth it for people who have patience for waiting. Those people who bought Bitcoin in year 2009 and sold it last year or the past 2 years are now rich people. But today, bitcoin dropped from $10k to $8k which is a bad news for other people, but if we will compare it to its price before. It is still a good news for me.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who controls the Bitcoin system? on: March 19, 2018, 12:11:28 AM
Yuph, no one controlled Bitcoin System. Even its creator Satoshi Nakamoto didn't control it. It is a decentralised System and no one can own it. This is somehow similar to Intermet which is FREE to use by anyone and anywhere. Aliens from outer space are the only one capable of owning it I guess.

The only thing that we have control in Bitcoin System is, how we use our Bitcoins. Bitcoin system is just a system that consists of bitcoin (obviously) that's why how we manage our bitcoin is part of this System. People individually who has access to Bitcoin also has control
BUT, in their own properties only.

Bitcoin system is controlled by every person that uses it. There is no single person that own the whole system and vontrols it as he likes.
Exactly, that's what I'm referring.
668  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] I want to rent signatures from active bitcointalk users on monthly basis on: March 18, 2018, 04:13:58 PM
You just said "Signatures" which means you need Members to promote you product. Why don't you create a signature campaign here since you are willing to pay your participants. Actually informations about your product must be posted here as well. So that Members who will participate will know what product are they going to promote. And one more thing, since you are a Newbie Member, an escrow is highly recommended Smiley
669  Economy / Services / Re: Yahoo62278 Sig & Avatar Campaign(High merit required) on: March 18, 2018, 07:22:55 AM

Look Guys, I don't want to be rude, but if you "will" continue this kind of bad habit, applying in campaigns that is not asking for new participants, then you guys might be blacklisted or tagged by manager yahoo62278 Himself and any other managers. And How can He hire/accept you if in the first place you are not reading? How can you guys obey the rules and regulations if you don't even read. common guys, you stayed here for months and you need to know and have sense with the situation. If a campaign is looking for new participants managers themselves will announce it. announce it. announce it.
sorry for my words. But Free service is well appreciated.
Hi buddy, just let them do what they want. Let Mr. Yahoo62278 and other Staff do what they deserve to do with these guys. I'm sure these guys didn't even read what you said here as they didn't even care. If they keep violating/ignoring rules. I'm pretty sure they will really receive negative tag the future.

Just relax and don't waste your time in people like these.
670  Other / Meta / Re: "Incorrect recaptcha" on: March 18, 2018, 06:50:33 AM
It means that when the forum asked recaptcha whether you actually answered it correctly, recaptcha said no. IP change is a possibility.
Yuph, I'm not using TOR for browsing. But I think the main problem why TOR keep saying "An error has occurred" and "incorrect recaptcha" is because of IP issue. Tor uses different IP's as it keeps you anonymous to the web. That's why everytime it loads/changed the recaptcha, the IP changed as well.

By the way OP, do you just encountered this issue recently? Are you not having trouble in recaptcha in the past? Because there is a possibility that this is a browser issue.
Clear cookies, install brave browser, reset modem, dont login in Google email. This help me.
Brave browser is a good browser to stay anonymous, but besides from Tor browser, you can try firefox focus as well.
671  Other / Meta / Re: Merit! Why Merit is sold and how to stop it? on: March 18, 2018, 06:36:13 AM
What a nice move, setting yourself as a bait is a good technique to catch who's the real guilty. Well, I already expected that kind of sceneario due to hard earning of merits so it's not shocking to know that such kind of transaction really happens.

I admire you for being honest and obedient member of this forum. I suggest you to report those accounts to get punishment. Don't be afraid because you are on the side of truth (unless they knew your identity and might revenge).
Yeah, I think there are lot people buying and selling Merits around here in the forum. And one way to catch them is by baiting them. This is somehow similar putting a piece of cheese outside a mouse's hole then smacking the mouse using a sledge hammer when it comes out. I also admire the OP because he/she is honest. But it is much better if he/she reports those guys who want to sell Merits to him/her. $28 for one Merit? Seriously? You wiill need to spend $280 just to rank up to Member if you buy merits. Which can be done without wasting money by just creating high quality, helpful and unique posts.

Since we are discussing about baiting Merit traders here, if ever they found out or read about this. Im sure they will hide deep inside their holes   Cheesy
672  Other / Meta / Re: Members applying in merit campaigns without being eligible on: March 18, 2018, 02:17:17 AM
There are some people who always ignored the rules. But there are TWO kinds of people who ignored it. I'll explain it here. The first one is,

1. Ignoring for reserving - Peope ignored reading rules because they want to reserve an opening slot in a certain campaign. I've noticed that this is really common. As we can see, applying in campaigns is like a race,  first in first serve.  They post their application first before reading the rules but sometimes, they really don't care reading it. They didn't even know that it doesn't matter if you applied first. Because what matter most is your posts quality.

2. Totally Ignoring - These people always ignored rules because they don't even care at all. I think this only happens because they are always getting ignored by campaigns too. Sometimes they used to ignore to read rules first because they know that they won't be accepted anyway. They're just trying their luck. And some people who totally ignore rules are people who didn't really care about any rules. Because they believed they can earn money by just posting. This is usually new members who don't even lend time to visit the forum's rules and Beginners&Help section.

674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What to do when panicked? Check this out on: March 17, 2018, 08:27:42 AM
More people are panic because of bitcoin's low price. Don't you people know that Panicking will only result you to sell your Bitcoins although the price is low. "What should we do if bitcoin is down?" This is the common question from most of people Panicking. Well let me answer that question once for all.

As we can see, whenever bitcoin is down to less than 9,000 usd. We consider this price as a low price for bitcoin and this is the time where people starts to panic.  Well, WHENEVER Bitcoin is down, Don't waste your time to panic, instead use the opportunity to buy bitcoins if you can. Buying bitcoin at this situation is highly recommended as it will be a big PROFIT in the end. Like I always says, there are two equations used for buying and selling strategy. But what should you follow?

Don't
BUY BITCOIN WILL LOW PRICE + PANIC + SELL BITCOIN WITH LOW PRICE = LOSS

Do
BUY BITCOIN WITH LOW PRICE + HOLD +SELL BITCOIN WITH HIGH PRICE = PROFIT

The only key to success in bitcoin industry is to be PATIENCE. Yes, ofcourse we will risk. But the only risk in Bitcoin is if the price has been dragged down and you sell your bitcoin with that low price. Then it will really result to loss. But if you Just keep your patience up, hands on your pocket and relax plus wait for bitcoin's price to go back up, then the return for sure will be a good benefit.
But, it still depends on you on how you manage your Bitcoins. This is only a suggestion.
Sometimes, we really need to learn how to wait, because rashing things can't solve the problem Smiley

Please prove me wrong and I will lock this thread immediately. Having you with my side is my pleasure.
I hope it gives you some idea to what to do whenever you panic Smiley

675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to promote Bitcoin on: March 16, 2018, 02:22:23 PM
That's definitely are the ways how to promote bitcoin, but let me add these things. These are also ways to promote bitcoin.

Social media campaigns.
1. Twitter campaigns- twitter campaign is one way to promote a certain project/ICO which you will be paid for endorsing using you twitter account by re-tweeting and liking the tweets of the projects/ICO's posts. The payment is based on how many followers you have.
2. Facebook campaigns- facebook campaigns is very similar to twitter campaigns which you will need to share and like posts of a certain project/ICO in order to pe paid by Bitcoins. Like twitter campaign, the payment is based on how many followers and friends you have.

Other campaigns
3.Signature campaigns - This is the most common way to promote Bitcoin or other ICO. By wearing the required signature. You will be paid by endorsing a project/ICO by posting in different topics or threads here in the forum. This is actually the easiest but very complicated way because in order to be paid, you will need to make a high quality and constructive posts because if not, you will not be paid. But don't worry, as long as you can post good posts, you're ready to go.

676  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Raise merit requirements at the lower and highest ranks (@theymos) on: March 15, 2018, 02:54:39 AM
I didn't read the entire content of the thread since I understand you main intention. You want to raised the required merits of Hero to Legendary members and even Jr. Members and Members rank. I understand what goal you are willing to achieve but it will not be that easy. I fully disagree to this one. I think you can just say such things because you are extraordinary, unlike other members  you can get merits per day and as a result, your merits describes that you deserved to be a Hero member now. Gaining merits are very difficult for other members (like me) , we need to give our full effort to conduct research about our desired Topic before we make topics/threads, and that is very difficult for non-crypto-professionals like us, Unlike you with a crypto professionalism.

All I'm trying to say is, It is unfair for lower members and also for Sr. Members and Hero to implement this proposal/idea of yours. We all know that gaining merits is not as easy as gaining likes from facebook and twitter. This is somehow making hard to harder. You are lucky that you are now famous here because of your big contributions to this forum and it is easy for you to get merits. You are already making good suggestions and proposals for the improvement of the forum and seems like looking now for power but sometimes, not being content can lead to bad/negative result.  Please don't make it harder for other members to rank if they really deserve it. Please learn to satisfied to Mr. Theymos's rules about Merits . I know there are still some issues in the forum which we need to improve but. I highly doubt that this one is not included.
677  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin will rise up again ? on: March 14, 2018, 11:05:29 PM
$9,000 looks like the upper limit after continuous fall.
I fully agreed. Bitcoin suffered it's downfall recently and still suffering for now. That's why although bitcoin's price rose up it will not take too high. I'm certain of maybe 9,000 USD TO 10,000 USD Only. It will still take time to recover and reach your expectations of 30,000 USD.
Unfortunately, we are not sure if bitcoin will really rise. Bitcoin remains down and all we can do is wait for what will happen. Maybe our predictions are right that bitcoin will hit our desired price or bitcoin will remains the same or even it can still go down to ground.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lets talk about avoiding scam on: March 14, 2018, 10:46:06 PM

This is a very good idea for sure. I've come across many seemingly scam campaigns but I've missed a lot of good ones also because they do not have escrowed funds. Participating in signature campaigns is not easy. Imagine how one feels if he doesn't get paid for the work done.

I think this condition should be made compulsory for all the bounty campaigns.
Yeah, that feeling when a campaign promised to pay but eventually they will just run away. I'm very picky when it comes to campaigns, before I fully join, I laways investigate the background of the manager(I only investigate when the campaign don't want to hire Escrow, because it's suspicious) if he/she is trusted. Then when I'm satisfied, I will join it. But, unfortunately, sometimes I still get scammed. It is really difficult to trust someone and It is not good to be scammed. This is the only solution I think we can come up.

680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF IM SATOSHI NAKAMOTO !!!!! on: March 14, 2018, 01:44:09 AM
I think there is no much things we need to improve in bitcoin. I'm already satisfied for what Bitcoin is right now. Sometimes we need to be satisfied in one thing. Try to be contented because seeking more sometimes lead to unexpected negative result.
If I'm Satoshi Nakamoto it's my need to focus.

1. Make bitcoin more popular on social media.
#Datarius
As fas as I know, bitcoin is already popular in social medias. There are already some communities discussing about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
If I'm Satoshi Nakamoto it's my need to focus.
2. Have events such as seminars to educate people about the importance of bitcoin in the real world

#Datarius
There are some school that provides seminars about bitcoin which is a good idea. I'm an college student and sometimes,  Our school conducts events for educating students about cryto currency, mostly Bitcoin.
