661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putin Good or Bad? on: October 12, 2017, 08:12:51 AM
It's not really a matter of good or bad happening, the thing that actually matters is the final outcome of what is going to happen. Russia and CIS has always been a buzzing place for cryptocurrencies with make of them being based there. It would be a big backlash if Putin takes a stand against cryptocurrencies. Also Russia, having strong relations with China, could follow what the latter did.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in cryptocurrencies on: October 12, 2017, 06:29:40 AM
Currently working on a web application that will help cryptocurrency enthusiast with what cryptocurrencies to invest in and how to allocate between each cryptocurrency. But before I get too far ahead of myself and start building something, I wanted to see if other shares the same problems.

You're working on a seemingly difficult project to pull off because of a couple of reasons. Firstly, the current altcoin market has well over 1000 altcoins and it just keeps growing with more ICOs happening each day and it gets really hard to choose between coins. Secondly, even if you're sure about publishing about a potential upcoming ICO, there are always chances that it turns out to be a scam. Lastly, you would need to gain investors' trust in order to be even viable as they could plainly guess that you're pumping shitcoins.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold to be created Oct 25 hardfork? on: October 12, 2017, 06:23:11 AM
No wonder all the other altcoins are going red in the graphs as everyone is dumping everything for BTC just to get that wallet balance up before the hard fork. Just want it to be like the first one which skyrocketed BTC prices after a brief period. As always, make sure you have access to your private keys and stay away from exchanges during the fork to obtain your Bitcoin gold.

666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What actually is Provably Fairness?! on: October 10, 2017, 01:00:48 PM
I had read all about this even before getting into online gambling on casinos. As a matter of fact, I always used to doubt the legitimacy of provably fair sites when I used to get continuous lose streaks and at that time, I used to verify all my bets just to see if they were actually pairing correctly with the seeds. So as far as Bitcoin gambling goes, it is a MUST to play only on sites with an integrated provably fair system for verifying bets.
667  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin eventually disappear... on: October 10, 2017, 12:56:13 PM
Bitcoin has existed from over 8 years now and has been the predominant cryptocurrency in terms of price and volume of trade. Definitely, due to human error there has already been loss of millions of Bitcoins already worth billions of dollars today and this count could only increase by your idea. Everyone in the world can't commit the same mistake and lose their Bitcoin wallets so there will still be Bitcoin as long as users are careful with handling their moneys/wallets.
668  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex manipulation? on: October 10, 2017, 12:51:09 PM
If you are unsure what happened to the current situation, almost all altcoin are experiencing the same thing. as bitcoin prices continue to rise, people would prefer holding bitcoin and dumped of their altcoin.
Moreover, the issue of bitcoin gold, so everyone holds bitcoin and to get free bitcoin gold.

This was the situation only and only on Bittrex, almost every altcoin fell off a clip in a very similar pattern which was almost relatable to each other. There are altcoin holders who believe day trading can net them more profit than cashing out and stocking up BTC, waiting for the Bitcoin Gold fork to happen, this shouldn't have been the case.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fork Naming Convention on: October 10, 2017, 11:52:39 AM
As we move into the future where more and more forks are bound to occur, it won't be long before the crypto world gets tired of forking the main chain again and again with just a new Bitcoin 'xyz' name. I believe Bitcoin Cash will be the only survivor at the end of the day, Gold, Diamond and all the bullshit to follow will never have a future in the market.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many clones of BTC. In or not? on: October 10, 2017, 11:44:46 AM
No matter how many clones or altcoins are created, it can never take the place of the original and first of its kind cryptocurrency to ever exist. Although newer coins are coming up with great ideas to offer, can't ever see them going beyond Bitcoin as the father of the crypto world will always remain the father. Most of the altcoins being created today are just for the project team to make money which isn't really the original idea when Bitcoin was released.
671  Economy / Services / Re: [ICO] Enigma Catalyst - Build Your Crypto Hedge Fund | Signature campaign[ENDED] on: October 10, 2017, 05:43:55 AM
Still awaiting an official word from the Enigma team on when exactly the signature bounty token will be distributed. I have not even submitted my Ethereum address to any sort of spreadsheet like many others, so I hope Woshib will step it up to collect our ETH addresses to forward it to the team or some sort of arrangement is done.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what makes you trust a new altcoin? on: October 09, 2017, 10:14:50 AM
Even before planning on investing, I do a lot of research about the coin at question. First thing being searching up the developers and CEO on LinkedIn or other social medias and confirming that they're the actual people behind the project. Then comes the part where I go through the whitepaper and set a potential gauge for the coin depending upon which the size of my investment lies. Depending upon the uniqueness of the project, if at all there are similar projects, I always go through all of them to be completely sure which one is the best.
These are just some basic factors I believe everyone should go through and research before 'trusting' any altcoin in the market.
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to set up a company for a new crypto project? on: October 09, 2017, 10:09:39 AM
Which country would you choose to set up a new company for a new cryptocurrency to launch an ICO soon?

I'd definitely pick something in EU, Is there a lot of differences between the countries in legal perspective or price for the company?

Thanks

You could always pick a country where the laws allow cryptocurrency trade and ICOs to be held. Keep USA, China and similar countries who have imposed strict ICO bans out of your choice list as it is almost impossible to begin there. Yes, an ideal place would be somewhere in the EU, a country like Switzerland, Netherlands or Denmark that have no problems with fundraising through ICO (keep France out of this list)
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins dumping with Bitcoin fork coming up? on: October 09, 2017, 08:52:06 AM
Can't really call it a dump if they end up benefiting due to the fork. Remember last time? Bitcoin skyrocketed after the first fork which gave birth to BCH and all altcoins followed Bitcoin up into the sky. This time, I'm calling the same thing to happen again but not that substantial of a rise in price. The golden rule of the altcoin market for me: where BTC lies, the altcoins follow in line.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LaxmiCoin - LXM - The cryptocurrency of India Government (Approved) on: October 09, 2017, 04:02:37 AM
The Indian government has just laid foundation for the coding and development of this coin and OP here trying to deceive people to believe that it is the coin being released by the government.
Do not fall for this as this is just another shitcoin created by misleading it to actually be the 'Lakshmi Coin' which is supposed to be officially released by the Indian government.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your maximum win streak? (Dice) on: October 08, 2017, 06:30:26 PM
Usually play on 86.08% win chance (1.15 multiplier) on most dice sites and my highest streak was around 80 wins without a single loss. Probably made like 0.01 BTC that session before calling it for the day. On 49.5% win chance (2x multiplier) I have never crossed 12 wins in a row and I find it very strange that I don't get streaks beyond 12 for playing continuously over all these years.
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to withdraw huge amounts? on: October 08, 2017, 06:02:05 PM
Almost impossible thing to withdraw anything above 10 lakhs (a million) rupees in my country as there are lots of rules and regulations, the foremost and bothersome of them all being to file ITR which would deduct a good chunk of the withdrawal as tax. IT sleuths would definitely sniff a sudden massive surge in funds in one's bank account and hold him liable for not disclosing how the money was acquired and ultimately this would be leading to only one thing : funds being confiscated and he would be put behind bars for questioning.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it good time to invest on DGB and Sia coin,Burst coin, waves on: October 08, 2017, 05:21:48 PM
Will give you a hindsight of all the coins you have mentioned.
DGB - On the rise, would've been a best case scenario investment a couple of weeks ago, still a good investment today.
Sia - Haven't followed it lately but its peak surge is almost over so just look around for the current market status.
Waves - Being a dedicated blockchain, this is probably the safest investment over the rest as it has shown steady growth over the last couple of years so definitely a decent coin to hold.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin will be made as the official cryptocurrency? on: October 08, 2017, 03:19:57 PM
Bitcoin is already considered as the official cryptocurrency, the first of its kind, father of all coins and so on. Just have a look at this forum itself, being a forum for Bitcoin, it gave the foundation idea for all the cryptocurrencies that exist today and all the ANN threads hosted here. Even if any coin surpasses Bitcoin in value which is unlikely, Bitcoin will still remain the father.
680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Switzerland is gradually turning into "the bitcoin country" on: October 08, 2017, 11:35:55 AM
If there is any country which has thoroughly supported Cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, it definitely would be Switzerland.

Firstly chiasso in Switzerland had stated earlier last month that taxes can now be paid in bitcoin in the town, which I've not yet seen any country or city to do so, if you have, please comment the name of the city and country below.

Pretty much expected from a country like Switzerland pushing to a move like this, a country's bank which accounted for the storage of most of India's black money. Nevertheless, this is a very ideal foundation for more EU countries to follow suite and allow for Bitcoin to be used throughout the country for various purposes.
