661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 15, 2022, 07:24:09 AM
. It is entirely another topic that at least in a few countries, politicians are more than interested in the running of cricket bodies.

Yes that quite true. In Pakistan PCB head is taken as lucrative job and is given to one who is politicly affiliated with present government. There are many players in Pakistan who are selected on basis of nepotism like imam ul haq, usman qadir, Azam Khan.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 15, 2022, 07:19:21 AM
The world of cricket is moving towards a quicker form of the game and the sad thing is that first-class cricket is still mostly played around the format of test cricket, even though times are changing. This is probably a big reason why there is not a lot of talent available for teams to find when it comes to T20 players. It probably would be a smart idea for domestic cricket to be played in shorter formats in the future. The format of T20 cricket will force the bowlers to perform better, and each bowler will have to learn those yorkers in order to perform at their highest level. It is because they know that if they do not do so, they will be hit for easy sixes. As a result, the bowlers will have to learn to make life difficult for the batsmen in T20 cricket.

I agree that first class (domestic) cricket is mostly played in 4-day format. But some of the boards such as ECB has recently reduced the number of 4-day matches in their competitions, and increased the number of limited overs matches instead. The BCCI is also going in this direction. During the COVID times, they cancelled the 4-day competition, but kept the limited overs leagues running. For the players also, this is some sort of a relief. Especially for those who need to manage full-time job with cricketing commitments, 4-day is not very suitable.

Cricket is adopting to new format aka T20 and that's the reason why boards are focusing more on t20 then on test. Even in domestic cricket, much focus is on t20 then on odi and test. I agree that with t20 format players who are playing cricket with job can manage cricket.
663  Economy / Economics / Re: Running a successful business in most developing countries on: October 15, 2022, 04:04:47 AM
I'd like to address this idea that having a business is generally better than having a job because with a business you're the boss. It is true, of course, but it doesn't end there. I've known a lot of people who failed or burnt out or simply didn't survive in their business ventures even if they really don't want to work for somebody else.

Having your own business means a lot of commitment, determinations, passion, responsibilities, and so on. If you're really not into it, don't even start it. If you're not willing to make sacrifices, I don't think you'd last. If you didn't last even for a year with your dream job, you really need to seriously ponder on having a business of your own. You know, if you didn't survive with the kind of job that you thought would make you happy and you thought you could live with for the rest of your life, you need to really discover that ideal business.
Not always the bookish knowledge works - there are many factors which are also important like how precisely the problem has been addressed - there are a few ideas in my mind and that too are very effective but I am not been able to find how to do it. My small business failed and I am unable to start the new venture
664  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: October 13, 2022, 10:32:39 PM
Every individual on earth has two major desires: power and money. Everyone aspires to be both wealthy and powerful. Making a decision is difficult since you need money to acquire power and power to maintain your money. Evidently, having power is essential since it allows you to exert control over various areas, including the economy. But you can only influence people in your immediate area if you have money. You can empower, employ, and build relationships with individuals when you have power. Power is crucial since it always contributes to character development. Abraham Lincoln says, if you want to know man's character give him power. Power gives you the ability to know a good leader.
TO me money is power - at the end, we all agree that money gives you power no matter what.
So it you have money - you are ultimate power.

The market really need something that can provide storage solution dilemma and we dont have much projects that are targeting this side.

In crypto market there are lot of projects that claim that they can do big things but in reality they never show up after fund raising. CATA is different in a sense that it has lot of good stuff at his disposal and chances are that they will deliver what they say about there solution.

Crypto market is changing and updating itself with such a quick pace that you need to keep yourself updated about what going on in the market. Year or two back no one was predicting that we see something like NFT gaining heights so quickly. Lets see how things shape up from this side.
667  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: October 10, 2022, 11:58:21 PM
Power and money are two of the most potent forces in the world, but if I had to choose, I would choose power because people value power more than money, and they respect those who possess it. For instance, take Queen Elizabeth as an example. When she passed away, all of England showed her respect by stopping certain activities, including their love of football. However, I don't think they would do the same for the country's richest man.
I would prefer Money  not power
If you have money - that power automatically come to you. My way of checking the success is to have a lots of money
If I seek financial freedom then my aim is achieved.
668  Other / Politics & Society / Re: At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money? on: October 10, 2022, 11:00:49 PM
Money can't be enough for humans. Our search for wealth and needs is numerous. Everyone wants to get the best cars, and buildings, and to have a luxurious life. All that requires enough money to sustain. You can't be spending money living the best of your life, without trying to make more money to facilitate the good life you are living.
in this time no amount of money is enough - I we purchase a TV there is upgraded version next year - if we get an iphone there is upgraded version in coming days
So the struggle is real - one should not stop earning money unless they achieve the financial freedom
669  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This is the way a "bank loan" REALLY works. on: October 10, 2022, 10:57:32 PM
IDK about all that other stuff, but the scam to me is that the bank is loaning me other people's money. If we go 80/20 in a house for instance, the bank is only putting up part of that 80 because of leverage. So it's using fake money, and you put down real money. But, if you default, they keep the house. Such a strange system, but these days houses are so expensive you don't really have a choice.
And IDK about other stuff - I know bank loans are horrible and you are hostage to them once you are into it.
There is no exit to it but to die a slow death.
I was advised by my father not to get loan from bank since I am too poor managing my finances - I had a very horrible time

Actually, the exit from a bank loan is what the OP is all about about, and what this thread is about. This is for the USA. Other countries will do it other ways.

When did you exit your bank loan? When you prepaid it off, by signing the promissory note before you got the money. The whole loan, and its repayment, was essentially finished at this time. You gave the bank some money (your signed promissory note) and they gave you some money in return (cash or a bank check).

If you make a payment next month, you are telling the bank that you owe them... which you don't. But since you said you do, you do. After all, what can they do? They have to - and want to - believe you when you say that you owe them some money and interest.

I mean, if your next-door neighbor buddy comes over to you in your back yard and says, "I owe you $100,000," and he doesn't really owe it to you, what are you going to do? You will, as his friend, tell him he doesn't owe you the money. But if he insists, all you can do is accept the payments he makes, right? Of course, keep this free money available to return to him for a time when he recognizes his mistake.

Since the banks have told you all this through their money pamphlets, "Modern Money Mechanics" and "Two Faces of Debt," what else can they do when you start to give them free money for nothing? They simply accept it.

Again, search on "Tom Schauf, bank freedom," in various search engines, and figure out how to get yourself free from your mistake of thinking you owe the bank anything following your promissory note payment.

Cool
In our culture - bank loans are not encouraged - because there is interest attached with it.
But even than banks are menting money and peeling off the skins and blood of the borrowers for their own interest - bank doesn't care for anyone. It cares for itself.
670  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: October 03, 2022, 09:22:32 PM

Iranians and Venezuelans are soon to become good guys too
You made a valid point here - one country freedom fighter is other country traiter
Earlier when Afghans were fighting USSR they were freedom fighters when they started fighting USA they were terrorist
But one thing is for sure - Afghan kicked both the super power out from their country
671  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What can stop the Russia-Ukraine crisis. on: October 03, 2022, 09:16:43 PM

I'm amazed that anybody would think that Russian strength is so weak. If NATO is so strong, why don't they just invade Russia and put an end to all the fighting? They can't. Russia is too strong.

Russia just might become the future for all of us.

Cool
We have all the forums - discussing about Ukraine and Russia war.
There are so many other countries - where the atrocities are going on and no one is discussed it - because they believed that they deserve it - but I am glad at least EU stood up for Ukraine - although they all are in trouble too - due to lack of oil and gas.

The thing that most people don't understand is what this Ukraine war is all about. Under the whole thing, this war is a fight to the death between two money systems... the debt backed money system of the US and Europe, and the value backed money system of Russia and much of the rest of the world.

The government and banks of the US tricked the people of the US into financing the banks, without even realizing what they (the people) were doing. Most elected US government people don't even recognize it. Even Ron Paul, who for years was on some money committee in the US Federal government, and who speaks out against the Federal Reserve Bank in books that he has written, never speaks out about the real way the US people have financed the banks.

I don't really know if he understands or not, or if he realizes that if people understood how the banks have screwed them over royally, there would be such a big revolt among the people, that it might destroy the US.

Anybody who supports the US, Nato, and the Ukraine, is really supporting a financial system that is screwing the world. The whole US banking system is like a big fat Ponzi scheme.

Cool
Still the point made in the earlier comment is different and it is we are only talking about Ukraine war but there are already so many wars going on in the world.
No One took any stand against them - have you seen people falling from USA C-130 when they were making a quick exit from Afghanistan - one of the persons who fell from the aircraft was dentist - that is how people are dying all over the world
672  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: October 03, 2022, 09:12:57 PM

The value is right in the posts that I return to you.     Cool
What are you doing on this forum if you don't acknowledge BTC to be a valid form of money? Huh

Are you even talking to me? Didn't I just tell you that anything of value that can be traded is money? So, what are you really talking about?

Cool
Arent you all going off topic.
The topic is about power and money - and everyone has right to agree or disagree with the point other make - nothing to take personally
However if i have to choose between power and money - I would prefer money and it will bring power to me.
673  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It's time to expel Russia from the UN on: October 02, 2022, 09:00:21 PM

Do not forget the government are individual persons who make decisions for many people.
Even with all these we are seeing everyday war after war. Country fighting another country, we need to know that all these things are as a result of hatred or disagreement which had lead to conflict and war between nations.
Government is not even 1% of total population - if the public is strong and they know how to stand up for their right
Government changes their decision
I have seen on internet and social media that people of Pakistan are protesting like crazy for their citizens right - and they are making the government official go crazy

I want someone to answer this question honestly:

Would there be porn and prostitution WITHOUT money/capitalism?

Would women do it for free?

And no, I don't mean having sex just for fun with men of their preference.

You should first know that prostitution solely involves the solicitation of sexual services for money.
There are male prostitutes as well.
If women or men do it for free, money doesn’t change hands and therefore can’t be regarded as such.
Do you ask questions like this for the fun of it?

I am not in favor of prostitution; I am against it. However...

We could all avoid a lot of interference by government in money affairs if we simply did this. Set up a trust or corporation or LLC to own our money. We ourselves would be the controller or trustee or president. We would have wording in the 'entity' which gave us the ability to transfer the control to someone else. Simply transfer the control to somebody else when we want to buy something.

The artificial entity still has the money; there was no exchange of money for anything. Since the 'entity' is considered to be a person by government, there isn't any personal tax to it for exchanging money. And, there isn't any regulation for doing nothing.

Many rich people use this method all the time to avoid taxation legally. This shows that power is greater than money.

Cool
I dont know which culture and society supports prostitution
There are more disadvantages than advantages of this profession - and at the end these women has so much psychological and physical problems that they have to leave all this to go to an isolated life.

At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money?
You have enough money when you say you have had enough money there is no fixed point, the decision is yours to make. This is why you still see billionaires who have seen enough money in their life still keep going and working to get more because they have not decided that the money they have seen is enough. The question then should become, how much money have you decided is enough money for you?
I think as long as a person is in good health to enjoy what they have that is point when the money is enough.
If you are sick and you dont enjoy the luxuries you have purchase then there is no use of them
677  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: September 29, 2022, 10:08:10 PM
I want power. Both of them are just similar, but I will go for power because with power you can command and get money, but sometimes even with your money, you may not be able to have the power, especially if the power you are seeking for are with other powerful people who may not be able to release it.
A statement says power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely. Also money does the same thing . But it is better you have both power and money in moderation.
I want money and I want a lot of money - I have a lot of plans which only needs fund to complete not the power.
But at the end money instantly bring the power.
Power is lethal - it brings pride and ego along -so does money- if you are not going to control it will control you
678  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Corruption ok on: September 29, 2022, 10:05:35 PM
To understand what is happening regarding corruption, we need to first understand what corruption is.

The greatest form of corruption is to not love God above all things... and the second is to not love other people. Corruption is in all of us. But, as bad as things might look, it is being corrected by God.

Let corruption be gradually corrected in yourself. Continually seek God and what He is all about... while at the same time, helping other people.

Cool
Corruption is not okie - corruption is evil and evil cannot be good - anything bad you do in private can surface sooner or later so better stay away from evil and keep yourself such company at arm distance which pull you in bad activities
Live a good life and enjoy to fullest.
679  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It's time to expel Russia from the UN on: September 29, 2022, 09:55:50 PM

Note that it isn't only Russia. The Ukraine is made up of people from the same basic location as Russia. They are the same kind of people.

Also note that the fact that the US is behind the Ukraine push shows that there are power-people all over the place. Britain and the Papacy are a couple of big ones, and the Federal Reserve Bank (in the US) is the same.

Cool
the world has seen Russia has survived and those who have imposed sanctions on the Russia are in trouble.
They are in serious trouble do to the their decisions. Winters are arriving and EU is in trouble they are now planning to use wood to produce energy at the moment they have forgotten that they have to support Ukraine- they are not supporting themselves.
680  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian-Ukrainian war of 2022- ... for the salvation of the World on: September 29, 2022, 09:52:39 PM
Thousands of Russians cross the Georgian border so as not to howl in Ukraine. However, many of them supported Putin for the annexation of Crimea. Georgia is at great risk if these Russians stay in Georgia. If a situation similar to the Ukrainian one happens, then they will all support the Russian invasion of Georgia.
there are lots of people crossing Afghan boarder and coming to Pakistan there are lots of people on the other side in Kashmir - those who are leaving their houses and migrating due to Indian invasion - lots of Syrian and Palestinian who are being displaced and no one talks about it.
