662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: January 01, 2024, 02:54:41 PM
~

Though, Betwrong, we must point out that the increase of the odds Trump has and the overall chances he could accumulate on the elections is not because suddentky democrat voters decided he was better than Biden or because Biden's policies are not as good as Trump did back when he was the president of the country. The positive change of odds in favor of Trump the the increase of this popularity I believe has to do with two things: the increase of the severity of the immigrant crisis and the public Image/behavior Biden seems to have (regardless of how well economy is doing and regardless of the record low unemployment in the country). The immigration crisis and those people flooding the big blue cities in the country will flop moderate republicans and switch voters in favor of Trump, because the federal government is not providing any help and people have the impression the federal government is represented by no other but Biden.

Here's the newsest figures from the oddschecker:

Remeber, Ron DeSantis was on the third place once? Cruel world for him, huh? Smiley

And with all you've said, do you think Trump really has a better chance than Biden to be the next President?

Gambling is not a way to earn money and only those who know when to stop can go a long way with it and not get addicted, he realized this soon which is good for him and he has set an example for every gambler that doesn't realize what they are doing until they get themselves completely stuck with this addiction and then can't get out of it no matter how hard they try. He proved that if you decide to do it, you don't even need someone else as you are enough for it.

Leaving an addiction becomes harder if you don't have the willpower required to stay away from it. A person needs a lot of patience and self-control to be able to keep themselves away from what they are addicted to if they have gone too deep. That's why, one needs to leave it as soon as they realize that they are getting addicted just like this guy.

I think guy wasn't on his way to addiction because it would be too late if he was. When you can stop, when you can  for a ban for yourself or things like that, you are a healthy person and everything should be OK with you. Many people who really need the same approach, they can't unfortunately do that because they can't control themselves. It's a terrible situation when yo can't control yourself, I don't know what can be worse. Try not to let it get to that point, guys.
664  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: January 01, 2024, 12:39:31 PM
~
The pay given by a job will vary depending on how difficult is the job itself, the demand for it from different businesses and the number of people willing to do it, and there are many blue collar jobs that pay very well as they are in high demand and not many people want to do them, probably because there has been a tendency to look down on those that do those jobs or because they can be risky unlike a white collar job, but whatever the reason those jobs can be a good option for those that do not like their white collar job and may desire a career change which gave them a better pay.

But it's rare that a white collar job was abandoned and a blue collar one was picked instead, innit? Blue collar jobs that are highly paid, first, they can be risky, like you rightly said, second, they can be extremely hard to do. Overall I agree with OP that there should be market correction done for skilled labors, only in my opinion, it's dome already in most places. If you are a blue collar worker and you feel like you are underpaid, move to another region then.
665  Economy / Economics / Re: If Banks make money out of loans then they should reward those who borrow on: January 01, 2024, 11:56:47 AM
~

I just skipped after this and stopped BS, if your friend is in debt means he took a loan and spent it wrongly, and if banks are making money then its their business and if you don't want to take a loan then don't take a loan but blaming the system after taking a loan and can't able to pay back.

Well, bank actually give rewards to people who utilize their credit cards and pay back the due amount on time and your credit score gets better so in future you can get loans for less interest.

I wanted to say the same thing. In short, if you know a better economic model for banks than the existing one, open your own bank and start making money, mate, instead of complaining. It's better than to be just grumpy while doing nothing. Learn economy on high level(it's hard, I must warn you) and beat all the current economists, and not only me but everyone will wish you success in that.
666  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: January 01, 2024, 11:22:23 AM
That's a good advice. Indeed, gambling addicts can't think of anything but gambling all the time. Thinking of what you really want to do in life can open your eyes and see that you are heading to addiction if you continue this way.
Addiction is likened to madness, it is until a madman knows that he is mad that he will be healed, the same thing goes for addictions, especially in gambling. Gambling addiction is bad, but unfortunately, it takes a whole long time for this to occur to many addicted people, they would have wasted money, energy and time on it and all that they will be thinking about is betting and getting to try their luck in it. For some of these people, it's mere fun, and to this category, it might be minimal since they might be wise enough not to use big money for it. Yet, if too consistent, money would be wasted. To them, they are enjoying their hobby, but there is nothing you do too much which takes more of your time and never without a good thing to show for it that is good.

A responsible gambler must moderate things so that they will not affect their personal lives. This category is lessened in effect, yet, no one should be addicted to gambling, it is bad, and if it doesn't take money, it takes another thing, or both. However, the worst category is the ones that would believe they can make their life's fortune in gambling, but instead, wasting money repeatedly and continue to do so for they believe they can make the money eventually through it. In most cases, the money will never come, but this would have attached to their minds and it goes on like that until they eventually realize their mistakes or find help.

The biggest mistake is to think that if you've lost your bets many times in a row, the big win will come soon. I myself lost a lot of money because of that thinking. I mean, I know it doesn't matter how many bets I've lost previously, in future I'm not guaranteed anything because of that, and yet I keep betting with the hope to win something big soon. Fortunately, there were not many such cases and I'm not broke because of that, but I'd prefer to never have them.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: December 31, 2023, 02:24:45 PM
I know that it depends a lot from kind of work, but I dont admire working at work. Even if a person is good at multitasking, employer did not hire employee for gambling. If a person has free time to gamble at work, that means that person hasnt done his tasks fully. Even if I have a free time at work, I would rather help my collegue, than gamble at work.

It's a great approach to gambling at work you have there. Indeed, if if it's not your job to gamble you shouldn't be doing during your work hours, even if you have free time. One of the reasons is because you can get sucked in the process, and then, even though you wanted to gamble only during your free time, you'll be gambling during your working time too. Also if it's an immediate reward/loss kind of game, you can lose and be frustrated about it and thud doing your main job poorly.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: December 31, 2023, 01:49:17 PM
There is a type of gambler they think that once they win they will win again thus they start gambling recklessly while betting. When one cannot protect one's own adversity one moves toward destruction. These gamblers are cheated in different places so they have to bet by maintaining their level. Gambling is a game of chance and chance does not come often. If you take a chance and abstain the next time you will be less likely to become a reckless gambler.

I don't get this bit. Who is cheating them? And why do they have to bet?

There is a notion among gamblers about "lucky" periods of time. it can be a "lucky hour", "a lucky day", "lucky week" and so on. When they win big, they think they are in the middle of something like that and therefore they have bet more and more before the time is up. But the thing is that those periods of time exist only in their imagination, and in reality it's always random whether you win or not.

669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 31, 2023, 12:04:51 PM
~
But it is very difficult for most people and in general to allocate time just to read something very long, although basically it is important and better to read it but people still with their old habits assuming that it is all boring, when in reality maybe they only need a few minutes to read all the terms and conditions provided by the casino on the sign-up board.

At least a little bit and picking up a few key points from the text of the announcement provided by the casino is better than completely skipping it all.

It's not a few minutes, if we being honest, it's more. Sometimes if want to really understand a sentence we can spend a few minutes on that one sentence alone. But, man, oh man, is it worth it! First you read those terms and conditions the hard way, but a couple of them later it can indeed be taking only a few minutes to read T&Cs on other sites.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to test it still, and right now according to https://mempool.space/ the Low Priority fee is 216 sat/vB so I don't want to even try that now, but I hope in the near future I will try it.

I wish all of you to have a great year ahead! Celebrate it good, guys. Cheers.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: December 31, 2023, 10:01:29 AM
Oh man, I think it should be illegal, to be honest. It's like with cigarettes, you can't write  “light” and “low tar” on the boxes since some point in the past, because it creates an illusion that some tobacco products are safer than others while all of them are dangerous and addictive. I lost more than $100 on this slot collecting dozens of those balls to no avail. I'd rather have regular symbols on the reels instead of those balls.
Yeah, it's important to do some research first (at least read the information section) before making an assumption. But, in reality, most of the players won't open the info section, worse, they even don't know the RTP and stuff. From legal PoV, I think they will state that they are honest with the game specification, even though it's slightly hidden. So it's completely fine IMO (Disclaimer: I'm not a law expert). We did this kind of mistake, so no sweat, just learn from it Grin
~

Yeah, I mean, when we see a new slot do we go to info section first? Who does that? It's good if we go there after several days of playing, but go there right away? And also it has made the way we forget about what was there in the info section in a minute. Our brain is wired to feel optimistic when some jars are getting fuller and fuller. We expect it's not for nothing.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: December 30, 2023, 12:52:32 PM
I can't proudly say I have made any substantial winning on gambling since I am still inexperience concerned how to choose games I mean matches collectively, so I picked my games before match starts but I don't know if that is the best options though I have tried both side but I mostly noticed that live matches doesn't have the advantage of high odd. That is to say, whenever those matches goes live there odds reduces to 60 - 70 percentage which makes your output  (potential winning) very small especially when you are betting on a single matches.

It's not always like that. Look at this live match, for example:

A half of the game is over, the score is 0:0, and yet you can bet on the draw with 3.05 odds!
I'm not saying it's a recipe for making money, but betting on live games can be fun, trust me on that. Smiley
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 30, 2023, 12:24:18 PM
I have not been influenced by streamers because I understand they are all promoting and advertising the casino they are under so it is not really my focus that they are pushing out big profit but I concentrate on the what the casino stand for and I check the reviews on it, so if I'm cool with it then I could make my own independent decision apart from what the streamer is doing. I know streamers seldom lose in their games and the reality is different.

From what I've seen, they lose a lot too. Usually they buy a Bonus Game and then another and then another. And they are buying expensive ones for hundreds and even thousands of USD. Until they win big they lose many sometimes, few people can afford those losses. I can't imagine someone thinking "Well, I will hit that big win right away without losing so much!" What kind of logic is that?
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: December 30, 2023, 11:44:32 AM
~
Negative thoughts are often demonized by psychologists, however if they were not useful we will not have them, and often the ones that begin to show some problematic behaviors of any kind are the ones that fail to see the possible and even likely negative consequences of their actions, and this has been corroborated on the past, as people that commit crimes often only think on the good things they will obtain from their actions, but they never think about the possibility of getting caught and the effects that event will have on their lives.

I like how you put it. Indeed, the positive impact of negative thoughts is highly underestimated. If people were not so confident, we wouldn't have so many irresponsible gamblers around.

~
I think it's quite rare for people to have an understanding like yours. Grin
But on the other hand it's a good idea mate, humbling yourself in gambling does have the possibility or potential to eventually enter into a more logical consideration to choose something better. This idea of "I'm a loser, I never win and luck is so far away from me" is a good one, because usually people will continue to gamble because they seem to have a motivation that can encourage themselves to continue gambling and achieve all these great things that are basically nothing more than their hallucinations as a result of having too high expectations. I think that some of them, especially those who find it difficult to win, should try this idea of yours, my friend.

Thank you so much, @Dewi Aries! I really hope some problem gamblers will find this thread one day and it will change their life for better. No one needs people to suffer big losses. Try your luck with several bets and move on, that's my advice.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: December 30, 2023, 10:44:08 AM
~
Indeed, we don't need to force our will to chase win, but the problem is that when they have won, most gamblers want an even bigger win. This makes them continue to gamble and look like they are chasing their winnings, and many of them do this unconsciously because of that desire. They want to get even bigger wins, so they intend to continue gambling even though they have to deposit more money. But that won't happen to professional gamblers because they don't want to do that. They already know that if they chase their winnings, it is difficult, and it could lead to more losses. They can make good decisions because they have more experience than most gamblers.

It's not rare that gambling addicts have more of the "experience" than gambling regulars. What thye need is just sit and calculate how much they've lost over the years. And I'm not taking only about the money, but time also.

~

The gambler who like to make the huge money in the gambling should not allow their emotions in the game. This was the biggest hidden strategy of the successful gamblers, they never get into depression after the loss. They will consider it as the game learning opportunity,So use the money to learn the game. Many gamblers learn more knowledge from the gambling by using the real money, they won’t complain about the gambling site after the loss.Because they know it’s not the end of the game,he will play many games in the gambling in the future. So this game is just an experience for them.Such gambler will arrange more money to play in the future game, because if the gamblers play with more capital will allow them to make more money in the future game.

No, don't do that. Gambling is not the universe where the more money you plant in the soil, the bigger some money tree you will get. It doesn't work like that.

Thank you, @Juggy777! Of course I'm hoping to win the Grand Prize with one of my Golden Tickets. And maybe I'll get get a bit more of them in the following 99 days that left.

The method you mentioned, yes, I'm using it myself from time to time. Like today I lost 13 sats hunting for the Jackpot, but

I won 50 sats along the way. Wink
