The below Monero node is about to expire Sad.
Last month luigi1111 extended the node. Anyone interested to support the Monero network and do the same for next month?

I am entirely confused. Why would anyone waste the time to post that to ask for a $4 donation?

Why not just pay the $4 yourself. That isn't even lunch money.

well fuck i wrote a long winded butle and hit back so now its all erased. i take back what i say about you being an idiot, but you are still a spectator, whether its your health to blame or something else.

what im trying to say is that, and writing 7500+ posts and spending all day long here is unhealthy. go outside and do something, learn to play music, or go to the park and interact with people in meatspace. you are priding yourself in what can only be considered unhealthy behavior, im am also guilty of ODing on shiny backlights 4am night after night, from time to time, so i recognize your behavior, you seriously need to get out of the house.

Your posts are almost rational, except your assumption that my posts don't include incredibly valuable technical work that applies to my coding, is where you lose the plot.

I use the forum as a place to share my technical work ongoing. As well I do my economic theory development, which is also essential to my coding work.

You don't seem comprehend the value of my forum posts. Thus to you, it appears to be a speculator. To me, I am designing the crypto currency future technology in my posts. Do you need an example?

sure i could use an example, maybe it got lost in your other 7500 posts

How many do you want?

Hopefully you know that TierNolan is respected by the Bitcoin core devs and you can review the following thread where I explained to him and jl777 the only correct way to do decentralized exchange:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1364951.msg14078549#msg14078549

I solved one of the most important technical design issue that exists in crypto currency.

Just let me know how many examples you need, but I think that one is already blockbluster enough to demand your apology.

Now can I stop posting here and get back to my work?

On an aside, I've decided to short ETH with my XMR. What do you guys think would be a good time? And can you close the short at any time during the margin period? I think its going to be a long down trend for Eth now albeit a very long timeline do to the Cap.

Risky. It bounced off $7 as I predicted. I called the top on March 8 or 12 afair.

Yes it is as is why I'm asking for input. But without risk there is no reward and it is less riskier I believe than playing XMR market. Smiley

In theory, XMR is a long-term play with lots of volatility in this low price range. But with a superior gain compared to Bitcoin over the next year or two.

My only stance is that if you are going to play in XMR, then accumulate on dips and hold. This is not a P&D wonder.

If you want to short an alt, you need to be very very selective. I will try to remember to make loud noises again on the next opportunity if I am not busy coding. Lisk and Iota might end up being opportunities, or perhaps ETH if he makes a double-top.

Edit: on any very significant up moves until at least through most of Q3, I would take some profits on XMR (not sell all), because I think we have risk of significant volatility in alts due to contagion coming in general markets as well as the Bitcoin halving.

maybe Vitalik will end up being a complete and utter failure, but at least he can be in the small group of people to create billion dollar failures, its far better doing nothing and talking about how everyone else is a crook

Ah so after all your posts are irrational because you have Vitalik's brown excrement all over your nose.

Dude there wasn't a $billion of anything. Do you not even understand that a market cap doesn't represent the invested amount.

End of conversation. I don't have time to waste when you don't even understand basic ground facts.

[...]

This dilemma of needing to place the modules of your project all in the same Git repository needs to be replaced with a good package manager which knows how to build from specific changesets in orthogonal repositories, where the relevant changeset hashes from the referenced module are accumulated in this referencing module so that merging DVCS remains sane. In other words, the package manager (module system) needs to be DVCS aware.

Rust's Cargo solves that dilemma:

http://doc.crates.io/guide.html#cargotoml-vs-cargolock

Node.js npm and Ruby's bundler also apparently do something similar:

You think all "ICOs" are manipulation.

I am confident they are ILLEGAL if publicly marketed to USA investors.

And no those weren't just my opinions. You will always try to distort what I wrote. How about you just state what you think about Synereo and stop trying to tell readers what I said. They can read my posts to see what I wrote.

Greg @ Synereo is avoiding explaining all the specification and technology to us in terms we can understand. No excuses you can make for that which are valid. He is selling AMPs and not giving us information we can verify. That is an illegal prospectus. If Synereo didn't sell AMPs to the public, Greg et al would have no obligation to explain the technology in detail to us in terms we can understand and verify.

Edit: it is rather useless if I go expend my scarce time to become an expert in process calculi so that I could find game theory flaws in Synereo's process calculi approach to their hyped Attention Model feature. Because it would still be an asymmetric information market for the investors, as then they would be required to trust either my conclusions or Greg's (Synereo's). The only solution is for Greg to do proper disclosure by explaining the technology in terms that all AMP investors can understand. They have the time to produce a very exquisite website and consume hours every week on video Hangouts that do hyped handwaving on technical details, then they should also have enough time to explain the technology in sufficient detail that we can analyze without requiring us to become one of the few process calculi researchers on earth.

Another altcoin being developed in Rust:

https://users.rust-lang.org/t/developing-a-cryptocurrency-in-rust-looking-for-another-rust-developer/3037

He replied to my PM and said they are still working on it. Seemed to imply to me in PM they had another solid year of development ahead.

What I think is great is how people who haven't accomplished anything themselves, attack a very ill man who has proven in the past he can program and market million user software. And as he does his damned best to fight through his illness and remain productive, he is attacked by those who are not ill and have accomplished far less.

Whatever.

I beg every day to the universe to let me have my full health again, so I can teach these guys a lesson about respect and even just about not deluding themselves with their own burthurt egos.

Find something better to do with your hands. Grow hair on your palms, it is more productive than this nonsense thread.

Oh Vitalik was our hero and TPTB criticizes Vitalik so TPTB is a bad guy. What ever. Facts don't seem to matter to you.
675  Economy / Reputation / Re: Shelᖚy () Psychoanalysis. Smartest Man in the Altcoin Discussions? on: April 18, 2016, 05:31:54 PM
so it seems to me that you are unable to contribute in a meaningful way, ie code

I wrote some code last year. I think this code consumed about 40-80 man-hours, not including setting up the tools:

https://github.com/shelby3/

I have written other code that isn't published. But not too much code, since Spring 2015 when I coded an entire dating site in about 45 days. That was fairly large body of code. But in July/August my health collapsed. I was on a 10-day water only fast in August trying to deal with the worsening condition and I dropped from 80 kilos at the start of the year to a low of about 55 kg.

My health entered a basically entirely debilitating stage from August to roughly late October. Then I slowly recovered some stability, but really hadn't attained more than about a couple of hours a day where I felt sharp enough to code and the problem with that is the hours are too disjointed and can't gain any momentum (i.e. work for 2 hours, then collapse in the bed for 6 hours, then insomnia head on the keyboard for 14 hours posting in forum because can't code, then repeat or some other shit like not sure if I was asleep or awake go from chair to sofa to bed to jog to sofa to ... basically entirely delirious and very uncomfortable fighting for some relief).

I been on the herbal tea for several weeks, which increased my energy and gave me more consistency. I been on the sublingual Oregano oil for about a week, and this seems to give me perfectly normal energy and thoughts in 6 - 10 hour batches, but not every time I want it. And I still have some bad symptoms that want to return, but I take a lot of Oregano and the symptoms are muted, but I don't immediately get that good 6 - 10 hour period. I have to wait for the bad muted symptoms to pass away. So it is more under control, but still not healthy as where I could say totally healthy.

This is a process. You have no idea the battle I been waging here by myself.

instead you wrack up your post count.

I remain as productive as I can with the disability I've had, while trying to cure it. And I've also accomplished other things such as designing a logo for the new venture, and also written a several page detailed business and marketing document with 34 references cited.

I have also done extensive research on the technical design. This is akin to coding, and in fact I been doing coding in Rust to test out aspect of that analysis.

if you are spending all day arguing with trolls here, im sure there are better things you can do with your time

That is one reason I lash out with "idiot" when I have to repeat something that I've already written 10 times already in my archives. Often when it is on the prior page of the thread that person didn't bother to read or ignored.

for all the many issues and overvalued hype with etherum, for example, that kid has actually added some semblance of value to the community,

Diagree. He has stolen from the community. Sorry if that is what you call production, then you perhaps don't realize that at Vitalik's age I launched Neocept WordUp and ran a profitable 2-man software company. We actually had end users. I had no funding until I had already completed the shippable software. And then it was only $30,000, not $15 million.

Vitalik produces pie-in-the-sky fantasies. Sorry because there was a time when I sort of respected his blog posts and his math and felt he was someone to admire. But I've become wiser after observing him more carefully.

on the other hand you have added nothing.

I have added more correct technical and economics descriptions than Vitalik. And very important ones. Several new key insights this week.

i am not saying you are a bottom feeder, that spot is reserved for the various trolls and retards you seem to like hanging around.
but as for where you stand in the pecking order.

1) contributors to valuable, successful projects
2) contributors to useless, failed projects
3) spectators ie you
4) trolls and carpet baggers

Hahaha. Quoted for posterity. You better pray I remain ill. Otherwise that is going to look very foolish in retrospect.

Never been only a spectator. You don't realize how important the technical thought and analysis is. Coding is the process of putting the correct designs into software. That can't come until the former has been done correctly. Vitalik rushed and wasted $15 million. Coding without having the correct design is STOOPID.

for those who can, do. for those who cannot, write forum posts about it Wink

So that means you are not smart because you post in a forum?

And smooth is not smart?

And fluffypony and gmaxell are not smart?

And satoshi wasn't smart.

Your binary logic was insufficient to model the reality here.  Roll Eyes
676  Economy / Reputation / Re: Shelᖚy (TPTB_need_war) Psychoanalysis. Smartest Man in the Altcoin Discussions? on: April 18, 2016, 05:02:00 PM
Surely, it seems DecentralizeEconomics is not a big fan of TPTB_need_war.

He doesn't like that I outed the AMPs investment scam of Synereo. Ostensibly he had purchased many AMPs. I wouldn't have a problem with his jest, but if you review the other thread From Above created about me, DE went bezerk in that thread declaring that I am a pervert and numerous other allegations that he repeated over and over for several pages. He has been cyberstalking me in any thread where he feels he can try to abuse me.

Scammers don't like the truth. Thus they troll me to try to discredit my truth seeking and probably also just to get revenge. Is that difficult to understand.

Every person who has trolled me in this thread is pissed off because of some vested interest they have, including you.

It isn't that there is no shred of truth in the allegation that I have expended a lot of effort on the forum that could perhaps have been better utilized in coding or some other endeavor. There is some truth to that. But that is not the only perspective. I share that feeling about my own waste of effort, but I also know I gained a lot from the forum. It is a process. Sometimes we can accelerate matters. Being not ill with chronic fatigure has a lot to do with the ability to focus exclusively on coding 14 x 7. Being not ill has a lot to do with being able to formulate detailed design thought and complex thoughts needed for the process of design and computer science. It is absolutely easier to write posts on a forum than the former. I could do the latter in my sleep (well I have basically been nearly asleep much of the time I been posting on this forum). You haven't seen my best. My best was when I didn't know what a forum was and all I knew was my computer screen. I won't belabor the point about health, because there is no way to help you understand what chronic fatigue syndrome and autoimmune disease of the gut and systemic peripheral neuropathy is like. You have absolutely no idea how crap it is until you've felt it personally. It is nothing like being sick with a fever. I can easily work with a fever. It is 100 times worse than that in a way that is hard to describe. I suppose the best analogy would be to go get heat stroke, then try to program the computer.

I will just tell you that I have decided I don't want to live with this illness. If it can't be cured, I don't want to live long like this. That is how crap it is. Now I have possibly a cure with the Oregano oil. We'll have to see. I think I also need a lifestyle change which is to completely stop the computer and be outside all day every day. But how can I do that and also code. So this is dilemma I am currently sorting through what my action plan will be. I'd rather not detail my thinking on this. More wasting time. I am in midst of many aspects right now.
677  Economy / Reputation / Re: Shelᖚy () Psychoanalysis. Smartest Man in the Altcoin Discussions? on: April 18, 2016, 04:54:50 PM
its easy to pick apart the ideas of other people, but clearly TPTB_need_war is a complete moron when it comes to spend time effectively, unless we count arguing with people online 18 hours a day as productive behavior,

if he was so smart he would have contributed something by now :/

Clearly you do not understand or don't appreciate the paradigm of refining one's own thoughts and understanding through the process of argumentation and explaining to others.

Clearly you don't understand that the number of idiotic trolls who don't like my truth seeking postings also bogs me down, unless of course I simply don't rebuke them in which case some readers might actually think you had something useful to say.

I seriously doubt you have read my 10,000+ posts and can state honestly what the information content has been and whether I learned anything important during that process.

It is incorrect and a blatant lie to state I haven't introduced my own new ideas and inventions in those 10,000+ posts.

Also you can't measure the value of my posts yet. That will come in retrospect.

So in others words, you shooting from hip without an objective sample. Thus you Sir, are trolling.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 18, 2016, 12:49:00 PM
Bitcoin's current protocol is thus headed [asymptotically] to 0 spendable supply.

That means moon right? Awesomesauce.

What is the reaction if any to the hypothesis that rate of increase in Bitcoin's adoption and evangelism has been declining roughly in correlation with the decline in the ability of a wide diversity of people to mine?

In my mind, the death of the block reward and the rise of ASIC mining leads to the Tragedy of the Commons transaction fees oligarchy and thus the strangulation of Bitcoin. It won't happen overnight and we will have another run up in the price first (perhaps after a V bottom yet unfinished), but there is no long-term decentralized future for Bitcoin afaics.

The shift to electronic money will be swift and physical currency will experience a waterfall collapse.

Armstrong also disses the idea that gold will go to a very high price ($10,000, or even $64,000, non-hyper-inflated dollars).  I am not sure that I agree with MA on this.  My best guess is that they will run out of physical gold at some point vs. all the paper gold.  I guess we will wait and see.

ORO my man, gold is never coming back as money every again. It is purely a speculation. That is why it will top at $5000 maximum. I understand it is very hard for you to accept this, but the reasons are very obvious. Physical money is a dinosaur in this era where we trade money instantly digitally. Gold is too slow. Fugetaboutit already.

Sorry man. I know you want wealth to not grow wings and fly away, but the Bible tells you that is impossible.

I love to hold gold 1 oz coins in my hand. It isn't a lack of passion for gold on my part. It is just my rationality.

Is this the case in the Philippines? In your estimation how much of the SE Asia transactions nowadays are digital and physical cash?

It is still mostly physical cash (80 - 90%?), but in another 5 - 10 years everyone will have a smartphone. The shift to all digital will be very rapid. The AsianUnion will open everything and poverty will be gone by 2033.

The world is going to change so fast...

I wouldn't be so sure, changing habits is not easy, it's not about giving everyone a smartphone. Large groups of the population can't and will not want to shift to all digital, physical money will have a significant share of transactions in the foreseeable future.

You don't realize how difficult it is here to get change for 500 pesos ($11).

You don't realize how young filipinos hate to carry around these heavy metal coins in their stylish no pockets clothes.

You don't realize that the Philippines was the SMS capital of the world before Twitter arrived.

Sorry you are don't realize that there are more filipinos under age 25 than over it.

The youth spend much of their time online here. The change is already underway.
680  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: April 18, 2016, 10:50:41 AM
Armstrong reiterates that the Central Banks can't maintain the negative interest rates:

Yes, I have warned that the central banks are trapped. Their QE policies have totally failed. They have lost all ability to manage the economy even in theory. They have bought the bonds and are unable to ever sell them. If they reverse their policy, government debt explodes, if the refuse to reverse this policy of negative interest rates they will see a massive capital flight from government to the private sector once the MAJORITY realize they are incapable of any control. They played a very dangerous game and have lost. It appears we are facing the collapse of Social Security which began August 14th, 1935 (1935.619). We will probably see the end of this program 2021.772 (October 9th, 2021), or about 89 weeks into the next business cycle.

We have government addicted to borrowing and if rates rise, then will go bust. We have debt which is unsustainable the further you move away from the United States which is the core economy. Unfunded pensions destroyed the Roman Empire. We are collapsing in the very same manner and for the very same reason.
