661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we have a bitcoin day? on: February 07, 2017, 08:50:56 PM
Maybe when bitcoin officially becomes a currency recognized by all world standards and it is traded on the stock market equally with all the other global currencies.
That would be the day of bitcoin.
662  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-02-07] Poland Officially Recognizes Trading in Bitcoin on: February 07, 2017, 06:22:08 PM
It seems to be that countries, on e by one, are being to recognize bitcoin as an economic entity they can no longer just ignore and hope it just "goes away". Roll Eyes
This and the previous news that reported Dubai accepting it as a currency is the proof of that.
Soon even more countries will start integrating it into their daily lives and start accepting it as a very efficient alternative for their citizens for everyday use. Like to be able to pay their local electrical bill (like in Australia) and their car insurance (as in some states in America allows).
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its been 40 mins since last generated block on: February 07, 2017, 04:03:20 PM
It is not normal. Have 0.07btc stuck on the blockchain for over 17 hours where I have had sends confirmed after 12 hours time with the same amount of the tx fee applied.
This is pretty un nerving if you ask me.
664  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Exchange will pay $5000 to support crowdfunding development on: February 06, 2017, 11:05:27 PM

Looking forward in working with you in the future to make your operations a complete success.

I lykke it so far! Grin
665  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 30$ gold in Goldmoney on: February 06, 2017, 06:42:50 PM
How does goldmoney work? I do not have an account so what do I do if I want to buy the gold?
I had a bitgold account but I do not think they around anymore. They gave sign up bonus but took it away cause I was not active. Does it happen to this account if I register for an account with them?
I do not want to be in the same situation as with bitgold having any gold I have with them voided and taken away because I did not buy any more gold with them.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 06, 2017, 10:06:53 AM
I said from the beginning that Gabriel Jesus is the next star, wonderful 3 games already made 3 goals, I'm sure Pep could issue the extraordinary ability of Gabriel. For Aguero, the position could be threatened, because a chance will fill the bench.
Wouldn't it be a more profitable and wiser choice if they just traded him and got some money instead of putting him on the bench and watching Jesus and all his glory of scoring. It is really a shame though he was my most favorite player to watch but the teams spotlight is on another hopeful young player now. Sergio's time to bask in the lime light has past.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving on: February 06, 2017, 04:44:10 AM
This sounds interesting. Doing a 52 week challenge would be hard to do with the economy the way it is.
And it is good to see how far you can go so it is a social experience to take part in it as well.
Is this an online one where you can post your stats and see who made more than you did during it's duration?
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL/NCAAF 2016 Picks, Tips, Discussion on: February 05, 2017, 10:27:52 PM
I am going with the minority here and all around the world and going with the Atlanta Falcons.
Their money line is not that different and only just over 2.22 on my book.
I think it is more profitable to go with the score bets. Over or under it is hard one to decide.
Maybe with the over of +3 points for them to win it is a safer bet.
We will wait and see cause it is about to start in an hour from now.
So good luck to everyone who is with me on this one! Grin
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SUPER BOWL 2017: Betting with Bitcoin on the big game on: February 05, 2017, 09:19:58 PM
I remember seeing an report yesterday about a vegas bookie taking a bet that was worth $1million if the Atlanta Falcons lose by 3.5 points for the entire super bowl end score.
Do not know if it was made by bitcoin or just fiat as most of the other bets are but still that is a mighty bet to make. Embarrassed

...shed with 11,000 bitcoins...

Hmmm.

Bitcoins are bulky and do take up a lot of space, I am surprised that they could fit 11,000 in just a shed.

/sarcasm
They were talking about the machines that were used in mining the bitcoins in this typical looking shed from the outside Grin:
"Equipment Taken To Venezuela
More than 14,000 of the bitcoin machines were available for sale in August 2015, of which 11,000 were acquired by Andres Carrero and transported allegedly to Venezuela, according to criptonoticias."

672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say bye to Triple Digits on: February 05, 2017, 05:43:24 PM
Since the price is just a fist full of dollars away from this prediction of back to three digits. I would beg to say that it is evident that it will happen one way or another.
But I also have to agree with the above poster in him saying once it hits $1100 then it will be in a safe zone and then they're won't be so much worrying and unknown about if this will happen tomorrow or in the near future.
673  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTT] 20$ BTC to 21$ Paypal on: February 05, 2017, 03:56:15 PM
No response from seller yet.
I do not know if he is serious or not about wanting to trade for paypal. Undecided

Next stop: MOON  Grin

I wouldnt hurry too much Tongue, it was $1,150 and we thought that we are near the moon destination but we weren't.

We had to stop and unload some of the dead weight (those useless Bears)

There will be some who turn bearish once the price rises. If everybody believes that Bitcoin is going to the moon, who is going to do the selling?  Tongue
We have been at $1000 for more than 24 hours now and the support does feel solid.
Expectations do seem high and everything is looking good up to this point. So there has no need to sell any as the hope of it reaching the ath soon is quite high. So why would anyone would want to lose out holding their coins when all signs are pointing up for bitcoin's price?
Just does not make any sense to do that now. Does it?

if you are a day trader with short positions it may make some sense. although i never like it in times like this because things become much harder to predict.

in any case if anyone sells he has to be prepared to face the consequenses and lose money and if he waits he may have to face loss too. but the difference in waiting is that if you wait and price goes down you can be sure that it will come back up again so it is no all loss.
Well if you say so. Cheesy
All that I know it is time to buy and that is exactly what i did. Grin
But did notice it very expensive to do it when it cost me 20% then when I did it last year near Christmas time.
So yeah. It is time to hold any if you have it and then sell when it is higher in the next 24 hours.
677  Economy / Exchanges / Re: how much virwox fees when converting from paypal to btc on: February 04, 2017, 01:38:13 PM
 Shocked
That is very low for over $56 of paypal but was when prices of BTC were $200 per coin.

Their fees are quite high if you are wanting to buy btc this way.
Some say as high as 30% but this is all dependent on the virwox account you are using with the level of verification that is applied on the account.

679  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: February 03, 2017, 05:49:35 PM
You do know who create the notion of charge taxes. Back before the birth of Christ.
It has been charged for goods and services rendered for centuries.
So they can not say it is theft now because it is written in laws of the Christian societies like the U.S of A.
680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Apparently the flash crash was fueled by Bitcurex hack rumors on: February 03, 2017, 05:02:55 PM
it's an obscure exchange that's been dead for months/years. and the news came out a few days ago. no one cares.
True nobody does care because it is not one of the top exchanges that actually still have coins in circulation on their trading platform so what does it matter really. Undecided
The price going down was more or less due to the mass dump people were organizing earlier this morning that seemed to work so to get cheap(er) coins for a two hour windows if event that.
But someone already said: Bitcoin has become resilient to such things that it did not last to long and is recovering quicker everytime they attempt to manipulate the bitcoin price this way.
