661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Resources for a more reliable paroly (multi-bet) strategy on: February 07, 2024, 08:17:38 AM
Parlay comes with high risks because all selections must win in order to pay out. Winning parlay is very thrilling because of larger pay outs, but should consider the high probability of losing with parlay compared to single bets.

One interesting thing about multiple bets is the high potential winning because of the accumulation of odds and bonus which make those gamblers going for it to like it but that all the games has to win is the debacle. However, there is an option that you can still win the bet despite losing few of the game like one or two loses. This depends on the bookmaker and the policy condition or the option you select in the multiple bet.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What remarkable thing have you achieved with the money you won from gambling? on: February 06, 2024, 11:18:09 PM

If I were in the guys shoes, I will definitely have so much things to use that money for including spending for my family members. But you never know though what might truly happen when that time comes.

I like the last part of it. You never can tell what you would use winning money to do but the greatest pain of winning big is using same winning to gamble again and losing it. If you lose your winning because you decide to be greedy and playing again for bigger jackpot but losing it, it is really painful. To utilize gambling money gives you joy against the times you will be in a losing streak. I have heard of people who use their winning money to decorate their sitting room and install television in there for the sake of informing visitors about his gambling winnings. It really gives joy to utilize winning money than to lose it by staking again with it. Most people don't play again after they win till the next day and by that they have secured and utilized that winning.

1.65 - 3.33 - 6.08

I think he will take part in the game.

Yes I have read osimhen has been declared fit to play against South Africa tomorrow and it will surely add some boost to the teams impetus to move forward. Perhaps the odd by bookies was influenced by his fitness because dropping 6 odd for South Africa is really a high odd, South Africa is not a push over in African football and I hope Nigerians are going to play with the seriousness that they have played with the previous matches especially with Cameroon and Angola.
664  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: February 06, 2024, 04:41:45 PM

1x(win or draw) mostly has small odds. As the result - you have higher win chance but lower prize. I prefer to risk but get more money. The bookie gives only a part of statistics - they need your money, so i prefer to search some additional information myself. Sometimes i can find that the key player is injured and the opponent team has higher chances to win than the bookie thinks. Such situations give us an opportunity to increase our win rate and profit.

In terms of collecting statistics and analysing it , bookies know when a key player in a team has an injured player and to the extent that it will affect them or not, so be rest assured that they compute all those before coming up with the odds in the options of the game. But sometimes a gambler gets lucky when a key player suddenly is injured seriously and has to go out or goes out through red card. So such opportunity is an advantage to the luck of the bettor who has made bet in the favour of the opponent team. The point is on the balance, bookies don't allow you a free winning opportunity, they always keep a tight option for gamblers.

Tomorrow the Super Eagles will clash horns with the Bafana Bafana side which I some how think will be a very difficult game for the Eagles because the Bafana Bafana side have about 9 players in their starting eleven (11) who are playing in one club all home base players.
This is something Nigeria is suppose to be worried about because these guys really know how each and every one of them move on the field of play and for our Eagles is something different all together, is this something we have to worry about?
To me we have been doing perfectly fine with these players we have but this only have to prove that our league is not up to standard so NPFL or whosoever is in charge should try and build the league to be like the S/A league or even better.

I don't think that there is cause to worry about the Nigerian team playing against the bafana bafana despite that most of their players are used to each other plying their football in their home league.

My worry however is the health scare of Victor Osimhen who didn't join the team to missed the team to Bouake on yesterday because of abdominal pain and discomfort. Osimhen is a very utility player for the Nigerian team but if he doesn't recover for the match then Paul Onuachu would start the game. For me I prefer osimhen to start the game because of his speed, strength and confidence on the ball. Bafana playing at home is not a criteria to be scared of afterall they are not playing at home soil so it won't matter.
666  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How would normal Nigerian survive naira inflation on: February 06, 2024, 03:22:49 PM

I know bitcoin would be the first option but many Nigerians don't know about bitcoin and even if they change to dollars its still suffering inflation too, wat do you think would be the fastest means that a common Nigerian man can store his monetary value.

Omo as e be now, e don red oo. The inflation just dey fly so tay even people wey dey abroad dey feel am say the cost of living just dey high.

The people wey e dey affect pass na those wey na only one source of income dem get and those wey dey work for government or wey na only salary wey dem go still owe them dey expect. Till now corpers never receive alawee and government workers still dey expect payment ontop the inflation oo.

Business people now still better pass people wey dey collect salary because you sell as you buy.

The way to store your money na to buy properties because that one go still appreciate as time dey go but say make you go keep money for bank na cruise oo.
667  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No need to change job due to low salary, just add another source. on: February 06, 2024, 08:58:37 AM
On a good day for naija like 10 years back, the person wey dey collect 90k na better salary be that, infarct na federal government salary for some workers back then but unfortunately, inflation don make such money too small to sustain family this time around.

However, solution to such complain na to add another source of income to it and also make wife dey hussle too because now no be when only man go dey hussle, woman no be house wife again.

But the thing about such job be say you no go get time for other hussle especially physical type and even physical business for Nigeria self no dey too work because of cost of running it, you go need fuel if na night business and transport, robbery follow too.

Omo na online business make sense for the country. Get your smart phone, get data and learn something online.

The funny thing be say the people wey follow rig the last election including those professors dey follow shout now because dem self dey visit the market and buy the same thing because dem don chop election bribe money finish.
668  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What should Nigerian’s do to hold corruption politicians accountable? on: February 06, 2024, 05:22:48 AM
The first step starts with us as Nigerians.to do the right things!!

Human being by nature no dey do the right thing or a greater population of human being no dey do the right thing. No be today e start even from bible, there is disobedience that happened at different times.

Wetin dey different with other jurisdictions wey things dey work and Nigeria na law wey dem dey obey and keep to the punishment both for big and small if no be so, na as Nigeria dey lawless na so those countries too for be. If you also check their history when dem never grow to modern countries, na so dem too dey lawless until dem improve and to improve na for leaders hand e dey because dem must agree to dey obey the law.

For naija, no be the masses hand e dey to make the country better but na those wey dey elected to uphold the law. If dem dey flagrantly abuse the law, na how the masses go do the right thing when dem know say the law just dey like toothless dog.
669  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The cause of inflation on: February 06, 2024, 04:38:35 AM
If we dey talk economics wey we read for school, yes printing of new currency fit make a country begin withness inflation if not well managed because e mean say more money go dey the system chasing few goods or willing to buy at any price. But for countries wey stand well, the consequences of printing currency no dey hammer the currency down.

Therefore, printing of Naira no be the reason wey our Naira dey crash. Our own case be say we no get any economic indices wey go fit support economic growth. We only depend on one natural resources out of plenty of them scattered across Nigerian states. Na oil wey Nigeria dey export and not even in refined state but in crude wey be say we no dey even get the full benefits of am because if we refine here other byproducts go from the crude go benefit us and we go still export those byproducts with refined petroleum/oil.

The environment for businesses to grow no dey, no electricity, bad road network for transportation of goods, insecurity no let farmers effort show, corruption no allow proper utilisation of money meant for project development.

Which one person go talk? So the issue na simple and direct thing. Fortify production and begin export things then you go see less dependence on foreign exchange and products and the economy go balance then na Naira go use him hand normalize.

But when corruption put government wey no want do the right thing but only seeking ego and to pay back political cronies, omo everybody get family for naija and one way or the other, the evil that men do live with them mbok. Hussle oo  Grin
670  Economy / Economics / Re: Price Regulatory Mechanisms: The Solution to the Economic Hardship in Countries on: February 05, 2024, 03:55:39 PM
~

This is true the government can only do so much about price regulations remember that producers and sellers are also citizens of the country and they also need to make profit

They also need support from the government they could only lower the price of their goods if they have given the appropriate amount of money into it otherwise they are gonna be having some loss which will result in product or goods not being produced so no the government can not control prices forever

Maybe they can for a short period of time and then find a solution that would both satisfy the producers and the consumers

Exactly. And no one knows better what price must be set for this or that product but the market itself. Governments shouldn't intervene, or, if they must, they should do it as little as possible. It may look like Wild West at first, but it will settle down with time, and the government will be left with dealing with various scammers, not with the vendors who's price is "too high".

There must be a balance point between the government, manufacturers and sellers or middle men. The government has a contributing role and a controlling role to play in the supply chain because if those in the manufacturing sector are left without some check then they would milk the consumers dry as no body hates to make profit from there business. So the government has to ensure that there is enabling environment for businesses to thrive including security but where such environment for business is not provided then controling and regulations will be difficult and compromised. For example if a business venture provides security for theirselves and incurs other expenses that are suppose to be done by the government, it is expected that such cost would also be added to the cost of running the business and that obviously will affect selling price to customers.

So the government has a lot of role to play in the regularisation of businesses.
671  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Nigeria unbans cryptocurrency on: February 05, 2024, 02:48:56 PM
In Russia it is not prohibited to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, but if you do not want to do this in one place, then you send the cryptocurrency to a trusted exchanger and they tell you the address of a regular store where you pick up cash using the code word or a courier brings you cash.
I wish we had such services here, but unfortunately all of these things are not available and there is only an intermediary option.

Although there are still no explicit laws prohibiting the use of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in my country, on the other hand, there are no laws that allow them to be used, so people here are very cautious and fear that if they deal openly they will be arrested by the authorities, so the option of working secretly through an intermediary is the easiest and the safest option yet.
And the safest option is not to conduct activities publicly. If we take the Russian experience and do not use couriers or caches, then in Russia there are many telegram bots that allow you to make P2P exchanges. I have said many times that such services are also used by scammers and the user has a chance to get the card blocked and an invitation to the police.
If P2P transfers work, then this alleviates the problem with the exchange.

The Russian way of transaction is more public almost as legalization but yet with laws. If an exchange gives description of a store to pick up cash sold or exchanged from cryptocurrency, it is just as public as it is no longer secretive using bitcoin in the country. Also with the Nigerian unrestricted conditions with the banks probably some stores will also open up for people who are cool in using crypto without fear any more. Apart from exchanges, there are P2P agents and arbitrage traders that have been existing for long and they have leveraged the crypto market without any negative effect of the earlier restrictions with the banks.
672  Economy / Economics / Re: are we returning to stone age? on: February 05, 2024, 02:04:55 PM
There are other charters and agreements in other organisations by member countries to ensure human rights etc. So as a country and globally, human lives will not go back to the savagery, nasty, short, brutish as Thomas Hobbes described in his book state of nature.

Most of the agreements reached are detrimental to some countries and the human rights aspect of the agreement is not being regarded by if not all, the majority of the partaking countries.

To this extent of the UN, charters, conventions and agreements, it is not that there are no agreements but what is happening is selective following of whatever was agreed upon depending on which country is affected and looking at who are their aligns. To a greater extent, there is high level politicking to follow protocol and to abandon it.
673  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High Crimes in UK London what is the problem ? on: February 05, 2024, 01:49:30 PM

But the job situation is out of contest young person in UK how he can Ever afford Normal life that's impossible.

Is it possible we are going to have some xenophobic attack in UK just like it has been happening in South Africa and other countries that feel foreigners have come to take over their jobs. Well, I'm sure there is hardly any peaceful country without violence and the situation in UK is still in normal balance for the government to handle.

However, I'm also aware that some professionals like those citizens in medical field still find their way out to work in more highly paying countries.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 05, 2024, 01:00:27 PM
life is neglected, even our own family will sometimes hate and shun us due to gambling addiction, it is so painful that everything is destroyed because of gambling, we don't have a family, our finances are disrupted and even if we want to stop it will be difficult to do so.

Families don't neglect you because you are gambling except you are only gambling without profit and you don't have other source of income, that is why nobody should rely on gambling alone because if you do, at the time you are not making profit you will not be able to take care of yourself or family. Hence, the advise is that gambling should not be looked at as a primary source of income but secondary or fun adventure not what you rely on to feed your family.

If you don't gamble responsibly then you can have all the regrets and family expressing hate but if you have a balance in yourself and provide for your family, you will still be loved. Money is an important factor to a peaceful home so whether as a gambler or other kinds of job, you need to take care of the family.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: February 05, 2024, 10:48:55 AM

I do multi-bets and single-bets, every time I win, sometimes I forget myself and use all my $$ on the next bet. This sometimes gives me big wins, but if I'm unlucky I can lose all my funds and this has happened many times.

Don't be greedy to try your hands and luck every where. Choose the strategy that works for you and not to use different strategies. You must have known the strategy that is working best so stick to it so that at the time of loses you can easily determine where you have gone wrong because gambling doesn't always turn into profit, you lose some you win some. So either you choose to gamble in multiple bets or single bet, it is professional that way.

I started to realize and change my habits. Now I use $$ from the profits from the previous bet to place the next bet and save my initial capital.

This is a good management skill than to gamble everything you have won together.

Are there other unique ways that you can use to grow your money in gambling? feel free to comment. Thanks

You are doing well to learn how to manage your bankroll as you reserve your capital at every win so that you can have some left over funds to try again even if you lose your floating capital. Above all, don't try to take unnecessary risk and stay with what you can risk.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Gambling Practices Most People Ignore and Sleep on on: February 05, 2024, 09:25:07 AM
Many people overlook setting strict financial limits, monitoring time spent gambling, and recognizing signs of potential addiction as crucial aspects of responsible gambling.

Overlooking is that emotional instability that makes it appear as though all the negative signs are ignored. Almost in everything you do, you need emotional stability to take reasonable but hard decisions. It is not very easy to stop yourself from gambling when you have lost reasonable amount of money. Most times it is the effort of a third party that begins to reveals these signs. A gambler despite knowing he is over gambling, he keeps getting deeper because he is chasing back his loses but it takes the intervention of someone that is concerned about his loses to advise him about stopping.
677  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is justice really blind? on: February 05, 2024, 07:15:52 AM
To answer your question, I do not know about other countries Justice system, but in my country, Justice is not blind. It favors the rich and mighty. Matter of fact there are some people in my society who are considered 'sacred cows'. They commit crimes with impunity and go scot-free, even when the get arrested and charged to court, sooner than later they get bail and drag that case for years, until you eventually forget about that case. Sometimes it seems the laws are made to punish only the poor.

Well it is the country where corruption is worshipped. Such countries where the justice system is bought by those who have deep pockets, then they are just going to be in circles and no progress will be made. The justice system is the correctional system of the country or facility that every person should be under both the mighty and the weak . If this is not done that even the highest office holders does not obey the law then the country is doomed. Take away law and its enforcement then that country becomes lawless and retrogressive.
678  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting without losing your money/no need for deposit on: February 05, 2024, 05:59:19 AM
This will only be the den of faucet farmers and not gamblers. How do you expect gamblers to first hit on the faucet and accumulate to gamble, it is not going to work. Moreover, op is not clear about the faucet and gambling, you need more details on how you intend to push high stakers to your website because this is really out of what will drive players to sign up with your website.
679  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The internet and crypto on: February 04, 2024, 09:38:41 PM
The first wave happens in 2021 which I believe sae, many people miss am because of sae dem no believe in crypto or dem no hear of am

But me I no believe say 2021 na the first wave of cryptocurrency oo. Before that time we don get previous halving and particularly the season wey really create awareness of bitcoin na around late 2016, 2017 and 2018 bear season. Those times altcoins self follow enjoy small rally apart from 2021 wey Elon musk them follow dey make market make noise.

So regarding the body of the post how the internet go fad away, we don see the scores na. We don see say government work no even see draw for the kind of benefits locked on the internet. If no be internet self, wetin person for do? The internet provide fast information, na knowledge base for some people too. Once you ask google answer don show. Internet don provide skills and jobs alot. For naija economy, if no be internet, many people for dey stranded. Make we just count wetin internet don do for persin, people dey trade, hodl, do P2P etc
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: February 04, 2024, 08:40:39 PM
Anyone who gambles uses money that has a special purpose by thinking that by putting it into gambling it can be multiplied quickly. I'm sure the results will end badly. Don't use money that is of interest in gambling, but use more money that you have or can afford. If you lose it, it's best if you want to pay off your debts, it's better to sell valuables or get a loan, and stop gambling first

Someone who sells of properties to repay debts from gambling can likely go back chasing the money lost. To gamble and have high expectations for profit is the cause of this because many gamblers put the mind of winning always and they increase their staking bankroll out of proportion at the end some even borrow to try repaying. It is better to gamble as reasonably as possible and not to over stake in anticipation for profit that you don't get but stocked into borrowing or selling property to pay bank debt. It is better to stop gambling if you can't control the loses instead of borrowing , to borrow set someone backwards. You can borrow to invest but not to gamble.
