681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with Bitcoin. on: January 30, 2024, 10:07:50 PM
That's the reason why governments and countries can't adopt or fully legalise the usage of bitcoin currency as a currency for purchases or exchanging goods, because they can't put fees or taxes in every transaction, and they also can't track where and who is the receiver or sender. We understand their point because everything should have a system or rules to be followed, but bitcoin or crypto currency is unique in terms of its own technology and usage.

Yes, for me, it's okay or fine to buy or purchase things using bitcoin in my country. There are no rules that imply banning or treating crypto currency as illegal, but it will depend on the merchants or sellers if they offer crypto currency payment. It's rare, but when it comes to online transactions, crypto payment is one of the used options. Thankfully,  the country where I reside doesn't give much attention to crypto currency, or they just don't have the power to do so.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: January 30, 2024, 09:44:53 PM
Gambling is a game, an expensive hobby, and like with many other hobbies.
A more precise way of looking at it is something like this. It is very common, even everyone who has a hobby always gets negative judgments from people who are not as frequent. As long as everyone's standards of taste and enjoyment are different, I think it is natural that there are those who judge gambling as something that is not worth continuing, while there are people who like gambling and continue to play it because personally they like the game.

Hobbies are not cheap, because many people are willing to exchange their money for pleasure that only they can experience.

Only a silly cannot accept the risks of decisions he has previously determined. Moreover, blaming the casino or other gamblers who win will only happen to gamblers who are unlucky. His emotions were in turmoil within moments.

well some gamblers are hypocrite and in denial to themselves. let us put it this way, in gambling, don't expect that you will go home as a winner because you already know the reality here - most of the time you will go home as a loser esp if you don't manage yourself to quit before you busted your bankroll.

if you make gambling as a hobby, then, for sure, you already know potential repercussions if you go beyond your limits. because the truth in this game is not a secret, a player is only pretending the reality of things if he thinks he can go home with bag of money afterwards.
Exactly! , honestly, the idea of gambling or gambling games is not to blame or to treat as bad hubbies because the people are the ones who put money into gambling, and at first gamblers only know how risky and dangerous gambling is but still proceed on doing so. The ones that should be blamed by those gamblers are themselves, no other than them, because they are the ones that make the decision; they are the ones that can't control themselves from gambling too much if they're unlucky, and they know that they should already stop but instead still continue until there is no more money left, and then proceed with blaming that luck is not favouring them. Yes, now a days gambling is being treated as bad deeds, but they don't see that the one who is bad or the cause of misfortune is themselves also, those blamers are  not thinking logically.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: January 30, 2024, 02:49:27 PM
As a member of a family and there is a gambling addict within, which method do you think it's the best to rip off the addict from your family member?

1. Talk to them and don't leave their side for too long, show them some love and make sure they don't have anything to do with gambling ever again, be soft and gentle with them.

2. Be harsh about it, force them to quit, let them know that gambling isn't this safe, bounce on them all the time because you love them, don't go any soft on them, because been soft won't make them see reasons why it's bad to be a gambling addict.

Which do you think it's best? Some people do think that been soft and gentle will be more effective and some people think that been harder on them is the real love here, they need to make them stop by force.

What do you think?
I think there is no need to choose between these two options or methods. Why? Simply because you can do both depends on the situation or on what extent the gambler in your family, friends, or how addicted they are. From that, you can come up with a better method suitable for that situation. As an example from the first choices, this kind of help will be effective for those gamblers who are not too deep into their addiction and will change themselves accordingly; in short, they are not too late to change or to back down in gambling. While the second method, you could do this method if the first method didn't work, and also if the extent of his addiction is too much, a calm and good way will be useless, so it's better to state the consequences of gambling addiction even in a harsh way. Yeah, harsh, but we have no option but to wake the addict to their senses.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 30, 2024, 11:55:05 AM
This may be good advice, but believe me, it will not always apply to all, or, let's say, pick the risk you will take. There are two types of risk for me: one that a gambler will take even without a prior hint on what the outcome will be, or, let's say, the gambler will push through the bet or play even without thinking and just ignore the consequences until the result shows. While the other risk is that yes, the bet or game is risky, nothing is not risky in gambling, but in this situation, the gambler has prior knowledge, critical thinking, and strategy, which is why he has the chance to win or raises the chances of winning. In short, yes, taking the risk is a good characteristic. Being confident and ready for the result is part of becoming a good gambler or risk-taker in life, but of course we still need to take into consideration and think before taking the risk we will take.
685  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: January 30, 2024, 09:28:08 AM
Its not necessary that prioritize investment means you will jot save up money, its still better to have both investments and savings, think of this yes saving money is great and a good practice but the thing is as the days, months or years past by your money from your savings will not grow maybe a little, but compare to investments its better to have something that could give you profit, a lot of profit, if you want a bright future or a life where you can buy everything you want and needs then start being a little ambitious and do investing it will also make you grow in terms of skills and knowledge, in short don't be contented to just what you have, don't settle for less, keep on moving forward to achieve more things in life. It's best to have something to add to your assets or funds while at the same time securing your future by saving money.
686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As a trader never settle for less on: January 30, 2024, 05:51:13 AM
True! Being ambitious is not bad if it's done in a good way. Being ambitious will make a trader have the eagerness and urge to keep learning so that they will keep on improving in doing trade, because more developed trading means greater reward. But of course, being too ambitious will also be the cause of your downfall if you don't control it and affect other people. Remember, many rich people are too ambitious to the point that they will step on others' lives. For traders, if a trader becomes too ambitious and trades at the wrong time, he could face a loss of trade and lose money. So it's not bad to be ambitious; just know your limits.

Let's take, for example, those new traders. They are too ambitious to earn a lot quickly in trading, skipping the most important parts, which are learning and skill growth. That's why they are more likely to fail in trading.
687  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments must have good plan very soon on: January 29, 2024, 11:41:43 PM

I wait airdrop of money for each people AT least 2000-3000$ without working ubi income

This is why you guys will remain in perpetual poverty, the plan of these corrupt government people is to keep you poor perpetual, so that when they come every 4 years to give you handouts you will think they are doing you favour again, this is the tool they have been using in most of these poor countries especially in Africa, just look at what these corrupt people turned Argentina to, a very strong economy was run to the ground, they come to give you bag of rice when they are sitting on your common wealth, I don't want free stuff, what I want is a conducive environment where my business can thrive.
The government provides the legal and social framework within which the economy operates, and takes certain actions to stabilize the economy. In other words, the governments is not responsible to guarantee you the life you deserve or the life you ought to live by.
Many persons are still living in that mentality instead of you to work and create the life you deserve you are comfortably relying on the
government to hand it over as a certificate..government has no role  in telling people how to live, its all up to you to create your best life and be in it.
Exactly! Good point. I'm furious about the OP's phrase, "I wait for an airdrop of money for each person, at least 2000–3000 dollars, without working for an income," because they expect that they can have an easy life and are dependent on the government. Yes, the government doesn't have the responsibility to guarantee you a better life or everyday living, and yes, they can help you, but not all the time. Does the OP think that his friend or himself are the only ones who are suffering from poverty? How about those people on the streets who are homeless? If your friend has a car, does that mean he has the means to buy one but not to cover his daily expenses? There are more people in such situations as yours; don't think that all things can be easy. And remember, even if the government should provide us with a better life and they don't, what will you do? sit there and complain? Of course, if you are a person who doesn't rely on the government, you will work on your own. In short, don't depend on the government, as we already know that there is a lot of corruption happening there, so you must survive on your own.
688  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins.ph is expanding on: January 29, 2024, 11:07:10 PM
Coins.ph is to expand it's services into Europe, Latin America, Australia and Africa and any users in these countries either Filipinos or not they can now send crypto in the Philippines. Though US was not on the list but they said securing licenses to this country is way too expensive just like Japan, South Korea and Hongkong but they are aiming to get one in the near future.

For me this is good news to Filipino crypto enthusiasts living and working abroad as they can now send remittances through this cryptocurrency related  innovation without any hassle.

Source: https://news.abs-cbn.com/business/01/25/24/coinsph-expanding-globally-eyes-slice-of-remittances
Wow, I haven't heard about Coins.ph for a long time. I stopped using Coins.ph because I discovered new and more advanced exchanges or wallets on the internet, but now seeing that Coins.ph is still doing its best to survive and follow the trend, it's a good thing that they decided to reach out to other countries because it means more people can use their platform and more target users. This may be a first trial. That's why they selected only a few countries, and not all countries are open to crypto currency. But to think that a Philippine crypto currency exchange platform can be accessed by different countries, I hope they add more features so that they can keep up with other platforms. Because many of them are very advanced and offer a lot of services, Coins.ph should come up with features of their own for them to have an edge or unique identity.
689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 29, 2024, 10:40:45 PM
Many who have just learned one month to one semester they give up and no longer want to trade, please note that naturally fruitful trees are trees that grow with a long period of time so that they can bear heavy fruit and can provide benefits for both the owner or others.
All the people that learn trading for just short time are learning it just to get quick money with what they will learn; if these types of traders lose money, it usually happens because as a result of incomplete learning, and maybe because they are eager to make money without proper learning.
Exactly and the sad part is instead of learning from their mistakes they will blame crypto trading and saying that trading is a scam pr too hard, yes trading is very hard that's why it needs an extensive effort to learn a lot in trading, even experienced traders often face a lose trade what more those new in trading expect. If they go straight in trading and loss then they should know what wrong are they doing.

Quote
Don't give up quickly in trading, there are many mistakes that you have to take lessons from, walk slowly and with principles in trading with risk management that you can control and not overdo it so that you can take advantage for yourself.

Focus, be consistent, learn from your mistakes and think that building an empire takes time.

What are your additions to understanding the learning time for someone who is learning to trade? I think sharing here will benefit those who may be close to giving up in this field.
Mistakes are part of learning and part of life; we can always make mistakes due to us been humans, therefore, little mistakes in trading are normal provided it is not a costly mistake that is done to ignorant.
Learning never ends, consistent learning keeps us up to date, and as a trader, you need to be learning regularly so as to avoid mistakes.
But those mistakes can cost a lot, trading is.a very dangerous and risky thing, it can have a good reward if done correctly and prepared but if a trader chooses to go straight just because they sre eager then its their own mistake. Its natural to make mistake at first it could serve a factor so that a new trader will be eager to learn but if a trader keep on losing trade and not doing anything to solve it then its their own mistak and problem
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference Between Fiat Currency and Bitcoin on: January 29, 2024, 10:13:13 PM
The conclusion is you're pointing Bitcoin is decentralized, but unfortunately most people use Bitcoin like a centralized asset e.g. hold their coins in Binance. It's really sad how Satoshi invents something, but people didn't even care with the purpose.

5.Transaction cost of fiat currency is low.5.Transaction cost of bitcoin is high.
It's only happen if you exchange at the same country, but if you're exchange from different country, Bitcoin fees is cheaper and faster than banks.

For me the big difference between Fiat currency like banknotes/ coins and Cryptocurrencies is in the requirement for electricity to use crypto. Fiat works always....
If the world lost electricity and internet, the problem isn't only happen for Bitcoin holder, but it's a total chaos to the entire countries.

OK a real world example:

I prefer to pay in cash and I had a co-worker who always payed with a credit card.  One day in the canteen the card reader was not working, so no food for the co-worker, but food for me....I gave my co-worker a "loan" in cash  so he could feed himself....

In this regard Bitcoin is similar to credit cards...

So technical issues are not always the end of the world  Smiley
Fiat currency of crypto currency they have both pros and cons so no matter what arguing we do it depends on the people what currency they will use, but one thing's for sure even crypto currency become powerful in the future fiat currency will still be around because we can't replace it, its like an alternative currency when things go bad or if there is a problem when using digital currency, as I said both currencies have pros and cons, digital currency rely on electricity and internet what if there is a phenomenal that will wipe both these things? How could we access our digital currency? While in fiat, fiat currency is a tangible currency so it is prone from being destroyed or lost. So from there we can also see the big difference of these two currencies, it will depends on the people on what they will use and what is more convenient for them.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you win? on: January 29, 2024, 09:44:58 PM
Why don't such people just be making use of prediction site? There are many prediction sites online and they can choose the ones that they know are having good predictions. They have many matches, so the gambler can choose like 1 to 3 matches from it.

But I will prefer to make use of the prediction site and also further analyze the matches myself to know if it is worth staking or not.
Prediction is a funny thing. When you go to play casino games you can't predict them because they completely depend on the machine and its win depends on your luck when you bet. But when you go to bet on gambling sectors like sportsbet you get an opportunity to make predictions and your potential prediction will help you to win the bet. This makes prediction games more fun because your predictions will come true in addition to winning the gamble.  Which will make you more happy. so I like prediction sites too
Not just in sports betting, yes, in sports betting you have 50/50 chances of winning and losing because you will either bet on a winning team or mot, and there are only 2 teams, so the sports betting has more chances of winning. But let's also see other games, such as card casino games, which involve strategic thinking, so the chances of winning will depend on the player's ability to continue playing depending on the card he holds, so it's better if I bet or play in a casino that involves skills, thinking, and strategy so that I can have more chances to win, and now I can say I don't regret that I only choose to play casino games like that and sports betting. But of course I sometimes play slots just once or twice and also bet on the lottery without hoping to win; you know, just to bet, and no matter what the outcome, it's alright.
692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Genuine asking! Is rebalance trading bot really accumulate more coin? on: January 29, 2024, 03:09:13 PM
What about the trading fee? Can rebalancing reduce the trading fee as I remember when I used a trading bot the fees took out most of my profit. I still don't understand the scope of using a bot as I feel it is far much hyped and doesn't come out with the output a user expects from it. For me bots are a waste and if anyone wants to make some good money from trading it is better to learn the graph and work accordingly to it.
Probably by using the percentage instead of time, it will produce less trade so less fee. Bot will greatly help if a trader don't have time to monitor the market or if they include too much emotion in trading.

What if i tell you in last ten of my trades, when i use bot it is produce a profit and when i manual trade i often miss the chance to sell or just stupidly don't take the chance. I used trend bot which use moving average, but they use only half of initial allocated money on each trade. So i decide to manual trade to get more profit but unfortunately the result isn't as good as when using bot
Well, you do have a point. Not all traders or those wanting to be traders have the time to learn the difficult learnings about trading, and everyday trading requires continued learning, so it can be tiring at some point but rewarding. If trading bots are proven to be useful and profitable, then maybe there is a chance that trading bots will be a trend. Many new traders will choose to trade using bots instead of learning on their own. Yes,  they are earning, but at what point? Trading bots are also just programmed and developed by humans, and even humans cannot solve the complexity of the crypto market. Even though the bots are advanced, there is still a loophole in some of them. But yeah, as you said, as long as someone is earning, then it's good; maybe I'm just more focused on growing the skills as it's more rewarding and satisfying.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: January 29, 2024, 12:34:20 PM
I also don't understand why they have different kind of treatment.

The other one has a diploma and the other one don't have or maybe a college undergraduate, nevertheless, they both work to build something or to create something, so there should be no discrimination and they both deserve equal treatment when it comes to salary. However, since we live in a cruel world where power always bully those who are weak, that's why skilled laborer or any blue collar job employees gets only few bucks for their hard work.
Sad reality but it is what it is but let's be practical do you think if all people has the same rate or salary will there be a system inthe world or will therr be a balance? i know it harsh, but I don't discriminate in fact I salute those minimum wage earners but the thing is this is the world works, there will be people who will stay minimum wager no matter what they do, let's be real there is no such world where all people have the same status or in the same boat because if those then what will happen to us? Chaos without order, that's why we can only survive on our own, because no one will help us nothing but us, so what should we do? No matter what people say about your job keep on living because if you stop then you will starve, it is not a sin to be poor but dying still being poor is your fault.
694  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 29, 2024, 12:07:01 PM

A gambler who has a steady and regular income can have the possibility of winning because his gambling habit can not affect his personal obligations as a man even if he's an addict because being addicted to gambling doesn't actually implies that one will eventually stake all his money on bets but rather someone who plays gambling frequently. By having a steady income, he can take care of other life responsibilities without being affected by his gambling activities and moreover, someone who have a stable income can be aiming to win higher amount in his bets and might be lucky of winning one day and use the money to establish an investment.

Your thoughts on this

All gamblers have an equal chance whether they have a steady income or not, you're having a steady income is not your ticket for a chance to win more than those who have no regular income.
The big advantage of having a regular income for a gambler is they can play without the pressure of needing to win because they can sustain their bankroll compared to players with no regular income they have to protect their bankroll or find ways so they can gamble, usually, they take a loan from friends and banks, use their savings and sell their kinds of stuff like cellphone, so they can continue gambling.

Uhmmm, that's literally what the OP's saying. There is no statement that having a steady income will guarantee a win or a bigger chance of winning; he is saying that, as you said, having a steady income means more chances of playing or more budget allocated for gambling. Imagine you don't have a steady income. Will you still have the guts to gamble even though you know for yourself that you are struggling financially? If yes, then I don't know what will happen to you or to that kind of gambler. That's why it's not recommended for a non-stable incomer to gamble. Yes, they still have the rights and will to play whenever they want, but the question is, can they endure the consequences? Or, let's say, be ready for whatever happens. It's more important to have a stable job first before anything. Will a gambler exchange daily living just for their own satisfaction? In short, they don't have the luxury they want; they should think of themselves or their family first.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are every activities/competitions with stake known to be gambling? on: January 29, 2024, 11:03:43 AM
More like everything now can be subject to gambling. In our everyday lives, I'm sure there is a conversation between you and your friends about gambling something, betting on which side is going to win or not, which is faster or not. Even without money involved, everything could be considered gambling if you are choosing between two sides: who will win and the other one who loses gets punished or what. So everything now can be subject to gambling, including all sports. Thats why many applications are born because sports betting now a days has become a demand, and they also notice that many people watch or want anything about sports. And it will be their target audience or players, and because of that, they sure will be attracted to bet and waste money because it is also in the nature of humans to have something to stake or to like the feeling of gambling.
696  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Your Thoughts on the Recent Crypto Price Drop on: January 28, 2024, 11:50:55 PM
This is quite natural to happen, maybe this provokes holders to sell some of what they hold, but many people really believe that when Bitcoin goes to halving everything will go to the moon, and I myself believe in this, it's better to know the market in detail, what is it? just a threat in my opinion the btc halving moment will affect the price, so it's time to save now I don't recommend this is just my personal assessment
Exactly because of the slight dip in the market, many investors or holders panic sell. That's the reason why the dip continues; the happenings make them panic. The ETF's approval plus the slight market dip, which is natural, is why those easily scared panickers sell. Thanks to that, it's an opportunity for those of us who believe in bitcoin and are calm about the happenings. Because of that, I can buy more satoshis to add to my holdings and get ready for the upcoming bull run. I know there is no exact date, but of course it will be great to have more holdings and wait for the reward. So for the others who see the dip in the market as a bad sign, but for us who know how the market moves, it's a big opportunity for us to grab. It's better to be early than never, so stay calm and chill; the market will show its rewards.
697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong Moves With Your Bitcoin on: January 28, 2024, 12:20:29 PM
That's why many investors are saying that it's better to invest in bitcoin than those coins that are not trustworthy. The thing is, many new coins are emerging in the market, but not all of them have a long life span. What I mean is that not all coins that are launched can survive long in the market. That's why it's better to invest in known crypto currencies than those new ones, but how will new good or potential crypto currencies emerge if we do not try to risk those new coins? That's why if someone here wants to explore and discover new coins that have potential, then they better be ready to take the risk and better be good at judgement, because I'm one of those investors who would like to seek new coins that have the potential or coins that I could take advantage of because they were recently launched.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 28, 2024, 10:17:08 AM
You can solve the problem with discipline and determination of not going against your gambling plan. A plan of having a budget every week of about 1 to 5% of your weekly income to be for gambling which you can afford to lose. If you have lost all, stop gambling for that week.

You have known that while losing in gambling, you are more vulnerable to more losses, you also really need to be disciplined about this. When you are losing little already while gambling, just stop. It is happening to all gamblers but we discipline ourselves by stopping to gamble at that time until we have the right mind to gamble again which can be the next day or week.

Right. Having a budget keeps things in check. If you hit a losing streak, taking a break until you're feeling right about it again is the way to go. It's all about enjoying the game without messing up your finances.I hope OP wont get too hard on himself. It's already dofficult to acknowledge your gambling problems. I think it would be too hard for you to start gambling responsibly
About budget, yes, it's most likely to be effective if a gambler has a budget for his hobby, which is gambling. He should have an allocated budget that is meant for gambling, and money is okay if it's going to lose. Not just that, a gambler should also have discipline in limiting himself from going over his budget. If you've faced losses and all that allocated budget burns, the gambler should accept it and will never bet again. In short, no matter what the result, a gambler could still be sane and control his emotions, which is the primary cause of gamblers losing more money just because they can't control their emotions. But budgeting or allocating only money and discipline is not enough if the person itself should have no problem when it comes to their emotions, because a gambler who is emotionally unfit for gambling, which is stressful and risky, should avoid that thing.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 28, 2024, 05:56:17 AM
Anything's addiction can be the cause so that a specific person is pushed to do crimes. Remember, a human is vulnerable when it comes to their urge, or, in short, their enemy is their own mind and urge, so yes, and it's common sense, gambling addiction is one of the reasons that there are crimes associated with domestic violence. Is there a case about that? Yes, of course, if you try to search it, you will see a lot of results stating that a man or woman does violence mainly because they are addicted to gambling.

I think this question is common sense. I'm sure you are aware that anything that makes them addicted to something has a negative effect on them, and because of that, they can do anything out of hand as they can develop many negative attitudes or happenings because they can't control themselves, so I think the question is answered.
