681  Economy / Economics / Re: Foreign reserves on: November 15, 2023, 11:40:08 AM
I just want to ask a question. Assuming people are buying the foreign currencies and hold it in their domiciliary account and not used in another country for buying of goods to be imported, is the foreign reserves decreasing like that? I mean if the foreign currencies is bought by the citizens of a country and hold in their bank account, and not used to buy from another country.

This is where we are being cheated, it should have increase over time when the value of the fiat currency increases over a local currency of a particular country, but that's not the case, your financial asset remain still all because they are not cryptocurrency, if it were to be btc, it value will increases as the value placed on him increases, maybe all these were part of what lead to the development of a decentralized cryptocurrency
682  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Investment in Nigeria on: November 15, 2023, 10:00:51 AM
The country is not going to be an exception when other giant nations are adopting bitcoin, they will be left with nothing than to ease down the regulation made on its uses, if they can once allows the banks to make use of this digital currency before the ban, they can allow for the any reason in the future when it becomes a must for them to, but it would have been a long time experience to have anticipated for, if the citizens are continuing with the bitcoin adoption, they will be left with no choice than to accept bitcoin and also encourage other financial institutions for adoption.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and skill, which is more important for gambling success? on: November 14, 2023, 02:26:46 PM
I have the believe that success in gambling requires a mixture of luck and skill. This is opposed to some people that believe that gambling is entirely a game of luck and others who believe it is entirely a game of skill.

So I am tempted to inquire if skill is all that is needed to be successful in gambling or luck. Whichever be the option, which of them is the most important factor for gambling success?

Would you like it to be that skillful in gambling without having luck, or you will like to appear being unskillful and be lucky to win, how long will this keep going, i will go by saying this that the two are very important for us to use or have, we cannot leave one for the other, when we have this completed combination in our gambling lifestyle, we are going to enjoy gambling with lots of fun from it wether we are winning or loosing, our target will not be shifted towards having one particular aspect leaving others uncovered.
684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who are already outside the matrix or living a privacy life in the crypto space? on: November 14, 2023, 01:34:54 PM
We can loose our bitcoin through clipboard malware, so having all these features added to our devices may not be necessary since we are going to make use of the internet to download them, maybe we could also remember that this is one of the reasons why using a device connected to the internet should be discouraged, out wallet should be on airgapped device, if we don't popnose on things that are not related to our safety, we cannot have our privacy compromised, we ar to maintain a private life until we are rest assured that we are safe.

Legendary members spread completely fake information - merit system do not work.

Incase you don't know the weight in what you've just said here, let me analyze them for you one after the other.

1. You're talking about legendary members spreading fake news, but you're not one yet, should we also assume that when that time comes and you becomes a legendary member, you're also going to feed us with fake news?

2. If your response is no, then know this that you're not expected to treat a single person issue or challenges to affect every other persons.

3. You don't have the enough reason to say that the merit system does not work with here.
686  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No Robot can take the place of humans beings to predict cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) on: November 14, 2023, 11:16:37 AM
World of robotics is different, bitcoin which is another thing entirely is being different as well, this makes me to remember the way some traders often make use of the trading bots for their bitcoin trading experience and performance, yet i don't think they have once comes out with something huge for a long term impact, robot cannot think as humanbeing, they only take action base on the programmed directives of the protocols they were being set up with, they are not effective as human could serve in many purpose.
687  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: November 14, 2023, 10:29:41 AM
OP clearly talk am for the op say any accelerator wey dey ask for fee, is possibly scam...
This is partly correct, it is good to avoid any accelerator that requests for accelerating fee, especially when it is not run by a mining pool, but it does not mean that all paid transaction accelerators are scams, for instance ViaBTC has its free and paid service and you choose the one you want to use, but ViaBTC isn't a scam, but actually one of the few working transaction accelerators, if not the only one.

I also support this, I think that's true, I've been using viabtc for a while now and i don't think they have any issue, they are reliable fast and trusted, other mining pools requesting for money were only taking advantage in that to make people feels the money being paid for is one of the reasons that will help th get the best of their service unlike the free one, but it's totally nothing than scam when they are not even reliable that they are boosting the transaction or not, if you need no complications or worry on using a mining pool, then make use of viabtc, it's free, fare and fast.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: November 13, 2023, 12:19:06 PM
Let's be honest with this, do we think the rate at which some gamblers do lost their game each time they are gambling over a long time is enough to serves as discouragement for them to continue with gambling, maybe we just need to understand this that some are not just gambling because they are after making money or chasing after their losses, they don't mind using any amount for gambling as long as it will serve them right their desired purpose.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: November 13, 2023, 11:50:06 AM
Gambling sometimes appeals to people who don't have enough money because it presents a chance to change their financial status like me. I'm hoping for potentially solving immediate financial issues or providing a sense of escape from my current circumstances.

Despite the risks involved the possibility of hitting a jackpot or winning enough to address financial struggles can be a strong motivator. It's a way for some to dream of a better future even if the odds are not in their favor.

There's nothing bad if we are making money through gambling, what we should also have in mind is the acknowledgement of times that we may not be able to have this same experience over time, we know that gambling is full of risk, we cannot also dispute the fact that so many people were already loosing or making out their money through gambling despite knowing that it's not a means of making money, but when we realized such opportunity in it to make money, we shouldn't hesitate to grab such because we are the same person who had always been gambling with the money we have.
690  Other / Meta / Re: A possible solution for broken images on the forum. on: November 13, 2023, 11:05:16 AM

691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you securely manage and store your Bitcoin wallets? on: November 13, 2023, 09:54:33 AM
"How do you securely manage and store your Bitcoin wallets?"

First know that your bitcoin is not stored on the wallet you used, it's being stored on the blockchain, you only makenuse of the wallet to generate and have access to the required keys needed to decode your encoder bitcoin on the blockchain, so you should make use of a 2FA password for your device security, backup your seeds privately, avoid leaving any private keys informations on your device.

And also don't allow people to have access to your device as well, they can't access your device when the device is secured with password, but when they have access to your private keys, they can move out your bitcoin without using your device, not your keys not your coins.
692  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Abeg who fit deliver me 50k I go pay back 55k by Sunday on: November 13, 2023, 09:18:38 AM
I think the lending board is the most appropriate place you could have use in making this request, creating a thread for this purpose is not worth it at all, or maybe it's something you could have contacted your friends or those close to you on that, assuming if we already have sub boards now on the local board, this thread will automatically ended up in off topic discussion, sometimes we need to cut our clothes according to our sizes.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: November 11, 2023, 01:35:11 PM
Well first coming to your question how will we know that a casino is asking for the KYC to scam us in some way or it is because they need to avoid by the government regulations ? There is no way to know this because in both cases they will ask for the normal ID documents. The real ones will keep them secure and only issue to the government if required for any money laundering or any suspect cases while the scam ones may misuse the KYC or even may sold to them to the third parties  but for the end users & the gamblers there is no way to distinguish between the two.

In order to get things easy the best way to go is to play on that trusted casino which are advertising here on this forum and most of them are KYC enabled.
That is what allows scammers to get away with this, they mimic the behaviors of trusted casinos so closely that it can be difficult for inexpert users to distinguish the difference.

However thanks to the forum and the aggregate efforts of its members we have a reasonable long list of casinos which are trusted by the community, and if at some point one of those casinos asks us to provide our personal information, we can be sure they will treat that information with the utmost care and professionalism.

It's not about having a casino on this forum that completely matters than having the trusted ones among them, these forum does not regulate scam but we can always find the best recommendable list of trusted casinos here, those that are not of a reputable standard have their tagged review left on them, so gambling platforms shouldn't be seen as the ones that requires for KYC are the ones to be trusted, that is just by the way, they have the right to demand for our information as long as they are the kind of casino we chooses that supports for KYC.
694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Never say your recovery seed or private key out loud! on: November 11, 2023, 01:02:28 PM
Lastly, whenever you work on your recovery seed, put your mobile phones in another room, put a tape over your webcams as an added security measures and never do anything with your Bitcoin in a public space like McDonald's or Chicken Republic that is full of listening devices. Don't be carried away.

Maybe at last, bitcoin is going to be the teacher of many who don't know how to handle things privately learn from their lessons, it's not funny that some people were just being do careless in handling things, even to the extent of thise things that are sensitive for them to hide, instead they go about explosing them in the public, things like this will teach so many people a lesson and henceforth they wouldn't go about mishandling relevant things of such which should be guided by all means from any third party influence for privacy and security measures.
695  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to cash out the money from electrum on: November 11, 2023, 11:37:18 AM
How to pull out the cash from electrum stored btc anonymously?

Use a mixer,

Maybe you're very conscious of avoiding the use of the centralized exchanges because of your privacy and their KYC requirements which could be annoying most times, you can always make use of the decentralized exchanges in such regard or get some trusted escrow service providers to perform you your p2p exchange.
696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Joining this forum has widen my horizon about Bitcoin . on: November 11, 2023, 10:04:34 AM
Before joining this forum i was thinking that Bitcoin is only limited to trading and investment  but  this forum has actually exposed my mind that Bitcoin is broad and covers a wider scope unlike my initial perception.
The greatest thing that happens to me this period is joining this forum because it gave me the  access to meet knowledgeable crypto experts and gurus and am also happy because I have the chance of learning from their Bitcoin talks and discussions and with this idea I will take the Bitcoin activities very confidencial .

Interestingly, this is a sign that you're going to ave a nice beginning only if you maintain your steadfastness in learning about bitcoin and also you need to have to secure your learning opportunity on this forum by reading through the forum's rules and regulations, because that's your first entry point to the world of learning, and you will also need to keep on updating about yourself from time to time in learning and paying attention to details.
697  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: November 11, 2023, 09:25:06 AM
I will have to share my own little experience as well just with the transaction fee that was high beyond normal that we have to experience spending upto $9 to perform a single transaction in other to get it confirmed, but just as expected, things would have been reduced now to about $2 as at the last time i checked the mempool, which means that there's not going to be any last longing impact of the network congestion through the ordinals impact by increasing the transaction fee, i know a solution will soon land to end this and it will be no more a thing of concern anymore sooner.

Now back to my personal experience with the bitcoin transaction i made three days ago, which just got confirmation this morning, though i make use of low priority and then try to set the payment under static with 20sat/vbyte as transaction fee, then later i track it on mempool which the ETA was on several hours before confirmation, which lasted for three days, i wanted to boost the transaction using viabtc mining pool but was not going through maybe then was when the fee was still as high as over $6 not until yesterday i was able to make a success using viabtc and my transaction was added to their pool which make me experience the confirmation today, using viabtc is secured, fast and free in moments where the transaction fee is getting higher.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 10, 2023, 03:39:26 PM
Trust me no one chases after lost that wouldn't grabs the air, we are gambling not because we cannot afford to loose the money used in gambling, we are doing so because we see ourselves in that position capable enough to afford the use of money in gambling which we can afford to loose, most of the people who do this were probably regretting for their loss because of the conditions behind the money used for the bet or some other reasons beyond public explanation and they wanted to recover.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 10, 2023, 03:12:25 PM
Avoid being too self-centered in gambling, you may not have the same opportunity of winning big amount as others did that you saw just by your way of behavior in gambling, we are to focus on the main purpose for gambling by having the required model way expected of us to gamble through, we should gamble responsibly and avoid getting being addicted, then have time for ourselves discovery and know how to gamble with the kind of game to play.
700  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: El salvador first to use lightning network in 2024 with bitcoin ATM upgrade on: November 10, 2023, 12:57:06 PM
In the current scenario wherein the transaction fee is going to the moon, LN is the only way out.

I've noticed that this morning, the transaction fee is getting better as low as 2 dollars unlike when it got to more than $9 in few days back, lightening network is best for businesses because they are making a bulk transaction in which the lightning network is best suitable for, there won't be any problem of scalability, delay or higher transaction fee at he cause.

It implies to everyone who prefer to do micro transaction and small time traders. Binance is already accepting LN deposit and there are few others exchange that have also started.

Binance is this case is not an ideal way for making this, let's just consider if nothing but the fact that it's a centralized exchange.

Coming back to the topic that is an excellent news coming out again from El Salvador.

El-Savador cannot cease from having news like this to share because of the good deeds they have with their president towards moving the country forward.
