I just looked at this M10S product page,
and I had a good look at the psu power receptable.

Please forget what I said in the earlier post.

It is actually a very wise choice if they use a IEC C20 receptable (which takes in a IEC C19 power cord),
just like they used with the M10S model.

C19 - C20 couple has a maximum current rating of 16 Amps (IEC standard, international).

Where as C13 - C14 is only 10 Amps.

I think it will follow earlier models and have a IEC C14 receptable, which takes in a cable with IEC C13 connector.

edit: This was a brain fart. Please see my later post below.

Greater than or equal 20A amp rating would be in the safe zone.

Wow, the 72Th/s one is a big piece of gear.

Will be interesting to see it in action.

@edonkey
If you follow the data cable from the hash board to the control board, is there any marking that would help figure it out?
686  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A10 series announced on: March 29, 2019, 12:11:50 PM
Yeah,
there will be a huge amount of good external psus which people can't use with their miners no more.

It seems that the 5-pin comm port, two of them, are still there in the front panel.
I like that they keep the idea of having a Rasp Pi controlling multiple miners.

@Artemis3

Type F "Schuko" plug for the win.  Cool

Ok. That's less power efficient than a lp firmware a841 or s9.  Undecided

This must be what you are talking about.

Unfortunately I have no idea about this project.

Can I ask, what is your goal with this?
693  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - March 2019 on: March 24, 2019, 05:15:08 PM
They are still operating, I am in the middle of a warranty with them which I will post on the B1+ review.

Cool.

Any tips for getting hands on one?
694  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whatsminer M20 is announced and available for pre-order on: March 22, 2019, 10:45:35 AM
@Artemis3
OT, but if you mean the Moose,
It has a 3-phase electrical power input, yes,
but it is furtherbdivided to single phase circuits (one line, one neutral, one ground).

It has regular Sorcerer PSUs installed as far as I know?
695  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The convector-miner. Make btc while heating apartment. on: March 21, 2019, 09:37:19 AM
I will ask about this from a hardware subforum moderator.

I think that this subject fits quite well to the hardware subforum
and should be very interesting for people visiting there. Smiley

I have got a notice from forum staff.

From now on,
Please keep the posts related to the review and guide.

Yeah the biggest issue noise-wise are the power supply fans.

The psu fans produce a really annoying high pitch noise.

How many pluses can they put in the miner model name? Cheesy
699  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whatsminer M20 is announced and available for pre-order on: March 20, 2019, 04:11:05 PM
Scott,
Please put some reputable source for that claim.

Because you are also a reseller,
and you are kind of a challengeable in this case,
because such rumours mean more money for you.

I'm mostly referring to the A4 catastrophe.
