681  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Building my own HODL service for lazy friends/family on: September 21, 2023, 01:53:14 PM
Does anyone have experience with creating a business around this idea?
A custodial service is one thing but could this evolve into more of a hedge fund structure where management fees/performance fees are generated?
Any advice or ideas are appreciated, especially with this being my first post Grin

You are competing with banks and other giant financial services with this kind of idea. Trust is your number 1 enemy here so you will find a hard time to strive on this business.

Smart contract or timelock service will help you to clear doubts on your service since this is automated holding process but still your problem will be the point I mention above which is the competition and anyone can literally hold their asset on a hardware or software wallet without availing this kind of service.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 21, 2023, 11:24:28 AM
I do this whenever I’m tilted by experiencing consecutive losses which is very hard to recover using my normal bet. I do win most of the time when doing this since I make sure that I still have a lot of bankroll whenever I’m doing this so that I have multiple try attempt.

I have recent about this but only x3 of my bet using roulette which I’m always playing for this kind of huge bet. I don’t like dice because I want to see the result personally to make me satisfied that the result is fair.

This is my previous bet which I posted here in the forum few months ago.
683  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Buy-Sell BFG on BetFury | 🔥Fury Pharaoh - New In-house Slot on: September 21, 2023, 11:18:07 AM
This is what they need to do before since if they just create good use case for their token and create something interesting with their token maybe they will not experience this huge downfall. But they are maybe left behind that's why frustrations coming from its holder is slowly covering this thread and they show some frustration the way they post. If they still have plan to make this project great then better if they go back here and be active so that people can see some hope from them.

This is not new behavior of casino that offers investment in a form of casino tokens. They usually pocket the funds from the initial investment and then use their token holdings reserve to slowly spend the part of investment money put on the exchange liquidity for the casino use.

At the end of the day, only token holders ended up holding a useless token while the team enjoying on the casino profit and casually liquidating their BFG tokens to spend for the casino. It’s a win win scenario for the team. Believing on this kind of token for long term is  very painful if you look carefully how the team excludes BFG tokens when it comes to profit sharing of the casino. We are already ignored by the team on this thread. This is a sign that they doesn’t focus much on the token future.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are no KYC casinos taking risks? on: September 20, 2023, 12:35:13 PM
Do you think your casino can be regulated without the AML policy? The requirements says it's all, so is it possible that those casinos doing their no KYC stuffs are not even registered?
Casino can’t be regulated without any KYC procedures since knowing customers is the only way to become regulated not only in casino but on all the services that you are using. How will the government regulate the casino if there’s no info available?

AML policy number requirements is KYC to track those user that will commit fraud using the service. It’s not casino who decide about the implementation of KYC. It’s a must when they get their license. It’s not an optional but rather a command from their license provider.

Crypto casino can operate without being regulated since crypto is not yet regulated on many countries. But since casino is a business and want a long term operation without any problem in the future. They decided to follow the general requirements to become regulated.

686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominace on: September 19, 2023, 02:26:10 PM
With this level of dominance while the price is still below 30K, It only shows that the liquidity on crypto is thinner since more money being poured to Bitcoin from Altcoins while the price is not moving significantly.

This is really a bad sign for altcoin when Bitcoin suffer another downtrend since the dominance will surely continuos to rise since altcoins is not yet recovered. Bitcoin dominance show how money from Altcoins is diverted to Bitcoin. The pump is not a result of fresh money or else dominance should be decreasing since new money tend to diversify on different crypto assets.
687  Economy / Economics / Re: Thailand to start taxing overseas income next year, including from crypto on: September 19, 2023, 01:32:28 PM

the big question is how many people come to Thailand and stay here properly and live off the money they earn from other sources of income from other parts of the world.
I have some Thai acquaintances, the situation in Thailand currently, is not crypto friendly. Is This a crazy policy? They already pay taxes on their income, there is no need to do it twice. What do you think will be the response to this news? I mean, let's say you're a foreigner in Thailand, let's say you have income in America does that upset you?

As mentioned already on your post. This is loophole on tax. Foreigner is using Thailand as their place most of the time which means they can be considered as residents if they stay there for half a year. There’s nothing wrong with it since they are being resident of that country.

Yes, foreigners is paying taxes on their original country but they are using Thailand most of the time for their stay which means they are experiencing the benefits of Thailand which is being paid by Thailand citizens. The duration is half year here which means those will be affected are people that live already on Thailand most of there time compared to their original country.
688  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: September 19, 2023, 12:20:37 PM

I was checking a crypto-casino with very easy entry just asking email and country, and allowed deposits in the main cryptos. I didn't need to deposit anything to realize that to withdraw funds they did require a complete KYC with ID, etc. I also tested registering from a banned country and even indicating it on the form, and it does not prevent you from making a deposit.

Does the casino you describe state no KYC on their terms and condition because they are really shitty they stated no KYC yet they ask one.

But I believe your didn’t read ToS when you register and make deposit since this is most of the cases for newbie because ToS is too long to reas when you are excited to play. Casino is not responsible for your laziness on reading their ToS and same with restricted country since there’s always a way to bypass restrictions through the use of VPN.

We are responsible to all our action and it’s important to read ToS of the casino because that will always govern no matter how unfair it is since you agree on it when you successfully register in that particular casino.
689  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io Token Refunds - $44k refunded since going live again on: September 19, 2023, 12:15:16 PM
Just making an update here. Betking finally replied to my post and sent me the ETH address for receiving my BKB tokens that needs to be refunded. I really believe that they are sincere on returning all the funds from the affected user.

Dean has a chance to walk away here since his reputation is already tainted while the amount of refund is too high yet he choose to slowly return the money for all the victims for the sake of cleaning his reputation about this misfortune. Let's see what's gonna happened with this refund procedure.
690  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io Token Refunds - $38k refunded since going live again on: September 18, 2023, 05:13:27 PM

I think they have plan to reopen or else they will not bother fixing their reputation that is tainted for many years.

I’m already on the process of refund since Dean already ask my wallet address to receive the funds yesterday although he become inactive after our last conversation. Still understandable since today is weekends and he fulfilled his promise that he will contact me yesterday. I'm positive that this refund will be successful.

I wish you luck that you get your refund if they really have the plan to reopen there's a lot of work to be done and they have to reach out to every one of the investors and also those who red tag them.

It is not an easy job but if they show dedication and are transparent and honest on rebuilding their reputation they can do it but it's not going to be easy, people will still doubt them and it will take time, but they have done the right now.

Hopefully, we'll get more updates on refunding their investors.

It’s been 3 days since my last email to Betking that is still not replied by them. I’m still waiting for the wallet address which I should send my BKB tokens to claim my refund.

Although I’m not that much paying importance to this refund since I consider this already as loss money the day this token failed due to Betking bankruptcy. I will be happy if they refund. Actually, I’m just checking it regularly just to give update on this thread.  Wink

2 weeks unconfirmed, I’m not sure too why it can’t be broadcast using free broadcast services from blockchair and other service. Your help will be appreciated.

you can, it's free. But if you need it urgently, of the existing ones, only viabtc can confirm for a fee

I don’t need it urgently, I just need to broadcast so that it will be included on the transaction that needs to be purge since the fee that I use is already below on the purging level. It's been over two weeks since I created this transaction.

I'm having problem on broadcasting it since services like blockchair show an error that the transaction doesn't have input when I broadcast it even though it has input based on my wallet transaction details. I will be happy to help me out here to purge this transaction for refund. I'm not expecting that this transaction will be confirmed.

693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: September 17, 2023, 04:38:14 PM
Knowledge can’t be compared to holding since they are not the same. Knowledge is important so that you can have a grasp on what really you are holding because holding blindly will always makes you weak minded when you are being tested of a downtrend movement.

If you have a good knowledge on what's you are holding, you don't what's happening currently whether bad or good since you will have a target for taking profit.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 17, 2023, 02:01:07 PM
I always withdraw all my winnings and only deposit the right amount i want to use to gamble whenever i want to play a game. I’d like to know everyone’s opinion on which way is better and which one do you practice in managing your funds on gambling sites.
I just leave a few, and sometimes I don't withdraw it all if I have the intention of playing again tomorrow.

I’m doing this method before but I stop it already after noticing that all of my money that left on my casino balance usually easily loss since I don’t care anymore on that funds due to my winnings.

I decided to stop even I usually leave small amount after huge profit is because I sum it all and it’s become huge if I just withdrew it too and just save it to my wallet. After that lesson learned. I usually just withdraw all and deposit back since the casino I’m using doesn’t charge withdrawal fee while the token I’m using to deposit usually just charge cheap fee so trasfer fee is almost negligible.
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach all-time-high before halving. - BitQuant on: September 17, 2023, 01:52:31 PM
l don't think bitcoin will reach all time high before the next having, considering the last halving and the one before the last halving. l think everything is still going almost on the same trend. l think the price increment will be after halving and some months after that, although it is hard to say exactly when. As for the price reaching $250000, depends on what situation brought about.

I understand your point and agree on it as I believe on cycle too. But there’s part of me that believes on Bitquant prediction here since the last ATH is after a massive dump due to pandemic which is same right now after we are brought down by multiple crypto companies bankruptcies. I come up to this idea since Bitquant emphasizes the ATH before halving which means this pump is different on the last cycle of price pump when we experienced previous ATH.
696  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io Token Refunds - $38k refunded since going live again on: September 17, 2023, 12:35:42 PM

I will update my post here if I manage to get a refund. Dean promised me for a refund solution next week. Let's see.

I became aware of Betking a few years after it became a scam, I'm sure you're going to get your refund, that's the purpose of this thread I wonder do they have a plan to reopen in the future, They mentioned at this time in their post that is why they are refunding and trying to clean their name

Hi, I was one of the investors in the Betking ICO in 2017, possibly even one of the largest investors at the time. There have been many years of discussion about how things went wrong and what happened to the site.

I, like many people, have never known for sure what happened but I can confirm that I've started to see refunds for my tokens and this is the first time since the casino failure years ago that I had any refund. In about 3 months I've gotten back about 2% of my investment, but it's real money successfully withdrawn from the site. It's a hopeful sign because if I was made whole it would be absolutely life changing.

Good for you. I assume you invested a lot here since those whale investors is the priority of the refund. I just hope that they continue the refund process until 100% complete for whatever they are using right now to generate profit.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 16, 2023, 03:27:20 PM
I've been following a few gambling channels on Twitter and Telegram, and whenever they share a screenshot of a bet slip or winning ticket, they occasionally also include the balance of their wallet. I've seen this happen several times, which made me wonder why they don't choose to withdraw their winnings instead of storing them in their gambling site wallet. Why do they leave that much in there, or is it simply for show off? A gambling expert should know better than to save their money on casino websites.

That’s their bankroll dedicated for their game. They have separate wallet for their money. Their bankroll is just the fraction of their total assets. If you watch popular gambling streamer like Adin Ross, You will notice that he keep depositing whenever he lose or he needs additional funds on his current bet like double down on blackjack then he withdraw immediately his additional funds once he manage to recover.

Those balance that you are seeing is really big but that doesn’t it’s their total bankroll. No one does all-in deposit on a casino.
698  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk user Joerii passed away... on: September 16, 2023, 02:16:16 PM
I remember that he manage one campaign here before that offers highest rate among all campaign's except Chipmixer. Mintlayer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5366033.0) is the campaign I was referring. I didn't manage to join on this campaign since I'm enrolled on different campaigns but I'm sure that participants of his campaign will remember him since he offer a high paying campaign that time without a problem.

@Turing, Do you knew hum personally? Condolence to his family.

I spoke to him on Telegram a lot, he always had ideas and was very creative, driven and he really could organize something and keep his promises.
Honest and generous too, not really caring about money but more about "being part of the game" in general.

I'm not saying I was among his best friends but we got along fine and had many things / interests in common.

"De mortuis nil nisi bonum", the Romans said. But about him, I couldn't think of any negative.

It’s surprising that he disclosed his personal information to you while you are friends on telegram and in the forum. Glad that you share this here so that his account can be preserved against hacker that might hack and sold it to new user. A new user can impersonate the old owner if ever you didn’t brought up this thread.

RIP to manager Joerii. Done donating using google pay. It's that the site doesn't reflect immediately my donation despite its already charge on my visa card. I hope this platform accept crypto tho.
699  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet hacked? on: September 16, 2023, 11:09:38 AM
About a week ago, I received an alert on my iPhone indicating a potential data leak involving Cloudbet casino account credentials. The concerning part is that the email account linked to my Cloudbet registration was exclusively created for this purpose, so there's no chance of it being compromised elsewhere. While it's possible this might be a false positive, I'm taking this matter seriously.

Not on Cloudbet but I’m experiencing same security alert on other casino which I will not name despite I’m not using anymore the casino for a long time. Do you play regularly because I assume that some casino is doing it intentionally to alert inactive players and probably to play back in the casino after visiting the casino once again.

You can check the IP loging of your account by requesting it to the support to double check whether there’s really someone try to access your account. Use 2FA security if just to make sure the safety of your account.
