701  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] AdBit.co - Advertising platform, better than clicks/views! on: August 17, 2014, 11:06:10 PM
Well, This doesn't prove if he's or not, Every people can turn to scam, and they can be protected like you that defending him. Tell me one thing why publishers lost their funds on the website that cost more than 10 BTC.(do not say mysql error like you reading above).

P.S also I didn't blame him, Just said my opinion that I know how Mysql Works.
Clearly you don't know how it works. Else you would have known that MySQL databases can be corrupted by restarts and that Carlos' story is correct. Doesn't mean it's what really happened, but I believe him right now and doubt that he would scam for such an amount.

I mean there auto backups every day on mysql database from the server.(or if he were using a chinese server)

Do not hate me, Hate the scammers.

Cya.

There are no automatic backups. Mysql databases only backup if you set them up to backup.
702  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] AdBit.co - Advertising platform, better than clicks/views! on: August 17, 2014, 10:13:19 PM
information like deposits and withdraws are all stored in a mysql database
Though, I remember him using Blockchain API. If that is the case, the info is there as well?

No, you cannot do this.

Think about a gambling site. Every deposits money and bet. Then the MYSQL db gets corrupted. Now, the owner doesnt know how much people have bet since the DB is lost. All he know is how much BTC he received. Some users can lie and say they had their full balance and didnt bet and get a full refund.

This is the position that Carlos is in.
703  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] AdBit.co - Advertising platform, better than clicks/views! on: August 17, 2014, 06:56:42 PM
Carlos, once you manage to get the server back and running, setup hourly backups and delete backups over 72 hours old.

That way you always have the recent db backups, and it wont take up too much space!

I cannot start to describe the mess that forced reboot caused.

Why not backup the db, delete the droplet and start another one from scratch?
707  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 3 | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: August 16, 2014, 05:16:24 PM
More big wins on Primedice today!

With the top 5 winning a combines total of 45 BTC!!

Get among it.; Primedice is the best place to gamble your coins with the lowest house edge and the most up to date features; I don't see why on Earth anyone would gamble anywhere else@@

Wow the top person has wagered over 86 btc with just 11 bets!
That is really a big whale with balls of steel lol.  Grin

How much did he win?

Hey guys!

I came up with an idea for a PD3 social network/sharing site. I will start the programming part as soon as I get my new laptop! Smiley

Cool nahtnam ! Smiley U can always pm me to see ur work in progress Wink .
I liked primedice.info .

primedice.info was a flop. No one used it, and it served no purpose. I have a much better idea that people can actually use! Smiley

What was primedice.info? I missed it!

It was a small site where I showed trusted users, mods, and all time highest bets and losses.

Can anyone tell me if it's okay if I use this signature? updated it myself, thought I'd bring some new colors to the table. Tongue

As mentioned, ref links aren't currently allowed but changing your design is perfectly fine.

If anyone sees this please read this and share your opinion:

I'm toying around with the idea of having a set group of people who I've personally deemed are high quality posters to continue to get paid per post count and branching off the campaign to allow anyone to join on and off instantly and use a PD3 referral link which will automatically credit their account (I'd likely boost the referral rate to something like 20%+ for those not being paid per post)

I'm confident doing this would greatly cut down on forum spam, while the very high quality posters who I select would have the option to continue the campaign as it exists privately or swap to a referral based payment.

This isn't at all decided, so feel free to weigh in.

Those who didnt get picked, would be really pissed.

As far as happiness goes, its a bad idea.

As far as money goes, its a good idea.

Can you catch a noob up on what primedice.info was *supposed* to do?  And how the new idea is different?

Also, mods, not trying to troll with those error messages, I figured they'd be helpful to people working on bugs. CDRproblems can be annoying.

primedice.info was just a site that displayed "trusted users", mods, and highest bets of all time.

It was useless.

The new idea is a secret tho!  Wink

720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi will ever spend his bitcoins? on: August 14, 2014, 04:02:34 AM
He might have lost it!
How would Satoshi lose his BTC?
.-.
I'm VERY sure Satoshi keeps a cold storage or something of the sorts.
Or he keeps the PW safe.
He's probably just not touching it for now.

He might have lost the private keys.

I doubt that, but of the blocks he is known to control, I'd wager he has some special intention for those.  When he was still here, he was offered $50 for a single bitcoin from the genesis block; when the going rate was under a nickel.  He refused, stating that those were his legacy.  That could be interpreted in many ways, but I thought s/he intended those early blocks to go to his heirs.

Wow, I didnt know that. In that case, my vote still stands. He will NOT spend his BTC.
